I booked 6 days at the Westin Princeville Ocean Resort and Villas and prepaid $3,847.92 - confirmation number [protected]. A couple of months after booking and 2 months before our scheduled arrival, we received a note from a resort "Ambassador" that renovation work was to take place during our stay on several of the pools (some would be operational). Quite simply, we do not wish to stay at a resort for which we will spend thousands of dollars in an environment that was NOT shared when we booked (in spite of the fact that the hotel clearly were aware that these renovations were due to take place during our stay). At no point when we booked was this kind of major renovation work referenced anywhere. We now wish to cancel our booking and believe that we are entitled to a full refund.
To compound our frustration, we were advised by the property that they were not authorized to process requests for refunds and that we had to call the Marriott Corporate number - who advised us that they also were also not authorized to process such requests.
Thank you
