In store experience
Dear Sir or Madam, On Thursday, Apr. 27, I visited Marshalls on 50 West 225th Street, Bronx, NY 10463 around 4:05pm ET. Upon entering the store, I grabbed a shopping cart but within seconds I was approached by loss prevention agent Louis. Immediately, Louis accused me of changing merchandise price tags. Not only was I confused by his false accusations, but...

Hello, I was shopping at Marshall's last Saturday, 4/15/2023 between 3:30-4:30 PM PST. I came in the store with a 3.5 carat diamond tennis bracelet on my wrist. I tried on clothes and purchased $118 dollars with of clothing and I proceeded to leave. About 10 mins. after leaving the store as I'm driving down the street, I realized my bracelet was gone and...

We finished Marshall’s 3695Midway Drive, San Diego California on 04/06/2023. Cashier was Jessica G. Very professional over the phone and in person. This was our first visit store was set up
Nice but, lost prevention was evil! When we arrived we seen an Spanish later in blue jeans and a black tee shirt on fusing with two white homeless people telling them to leave the store! I asked her where is the children section she pointed out the area and she started following my family around the entire store! We was very uncomfortable and my children start asking questions like what’s wrong why is she following us. I have two receipts . We had no reason to steal. I spend 272.85$ than 403.94$. She finally stopped following us once a white man stole something out the store. We was racially discriminated against on our first visit. We will not return to that location. We meet another customer in a wheelchair and he told us she does that to him. Know your target don’t harass shoppers. She needs to be fired for her actions! Or written up. Thank you. If you need further information please contact me at [protected]
Desired outcome: Cashier told me to do a survey on my experience she apologized. Cashier Jessica G. Very nice

On 2/31/23 at 9pm I tried to purchase a rug that was clearly marked as clearance for 199. The manager Kate I believe her name was would not sell it to me and stated it was marked incorrectly! In my opinion this is a case of false advertisement and the marked price of the rug should’ve been honored! I feel like it was late in evening and they were to lazy to get rug down and sell it!

Floor assistant
My name is Brenda and I’ve been a shopper at Marshall’s for several years already, it’s my go-to store for all my household and family needs, I love your products and prices. I shop there almost every week and I have spend $200+ very time I go. (I have receipts) I was traveling and driving back to kern county when I saw that on a couple exits ahead was a Marshall’s, so me and my family decided to go. We were shopping and my kids were just peaking through the clothes racks while I was browsing your store, the floor assistant that was next to me was extremely rude to my 4 year old daughter and told me that we should pay more attention to our kids and can’t be thinking that the store she was working at was a playground, we were shooked at her attitude and they way she took the liberty to talk to us in such a way that we decided to just pay and leave. We’ve always shopped at Marshall’s because you have name brand clothing for very good prices and having a big family it helps to know we can look good without spending so much money.
Return without a receipt due to extenuating circumstances
I have a TJX Mastercard. Recently I was hospitalized and then I was home recuperating. I try to keep all of my receipts in one place but things got moved around since others were here assisting me. I wanted to return a pair of boots for $29.99 but I did not have its receipt. The store wouldn't even issue me a gift card. I am a senior living on a limited income so the $30 means a lot to me. Is there any way you can assist with this return? My family and I have been shopping in all of your stores forever! Thank you, Jane von Ost
Desired outcome: Please arrange for a way for the store to take back the item and issue a gift card for the amount paid. Perhaps a letter from you to me when I go back to the store would work. You may have another solution so please advise.
Poor service and assault at Marshalls 77th Street and Broadway NYC
There was an assault at this store and the manager could not care less. I saw a woman getting her hair pulled and pushed over so hard that she fell on the ground. NO ONE helped. The manager did not inquire about the victim. The victim was not even addressed. She was told there was no security. The cameras were not working and they could hold the other person in the store while she called the police. This is an unsafe place where they do not care if this happens again. There is no security and the employees overall do not care.
Desired outcome: The manager should be fired. It is her duty to keep the store safe for its customers
Manager's way of handling work and unkind customer service
1/20/23 13:00 visit
Marshalls of Montgomery 16 Airport Square
North Wales, PA19454 [protected])
I went to Marshall's and bought shoes, pants, and a tee.
The price tag was lost during the checkout process, and I looked for it, but it was not there.
I checked the price and it felt good to buy it at a good price. However, the price tag suddenly disappeared while the clerk was checking out. They brought clothes of different colors and asked me to pay 3 dollars more for them, and I said that the price was different because they were different colors. Then, he brought clothes of the same color but different sizes, and brought clothes that were $2 more expensive and said to pay at that price.
Marshall has always been kind and nice. I visit very often However, the manager there today was very unfriendly and said that he couldn't buy it unless he paid the price of a different size instead of giving it at the price that I and my sister had seen together. They told me to take the L-size clothes I chose and take the M-size clothes, which are 2 dollars more expensive. It's so absurd. He ignored me with such an unkind expression. I was embarrassed in front of many people, and it took too long to find and bring the clothes. Having been to Marshall a lot, the price of the clothes on sale is slightly different if they are not the same size or different colors. As expected, all the clothes the manager came to had different price tags. They asked me to pay $13 and then $12, but they were the same clothes, but the prices were all wrong. However, it made me feel bad that the manager brought clothes of a different size and asked me to pay that price, but the biggest offense was that she didn't believe my words, took up too much of my time, and was unkind. I bought it. I can't understand the manager's words and actions to pay more. I and my family buy all our clothes and shoes there. But for her actions, I will not go there again. If she continues to work there, she will lose many customers. I don't understand how such a person can be a manager. She makes me a liar and behaves unkindly to a customer for $2, which is too small, and makes Marshall lose even more money. I feel so bad.
Desired outcome: I hope the manager's friendly customer service. It's the store's fault. The same clothes on sale are all different sizes, colors, and prices. So, why are you asking for a higher price? Please fix it. I paid more and bought the item.
"we dont cater to area" — response I got when asking where hanukkah things are
I went to the Ballwin MO store looking for Hanukkah things - the store had nothing for us Jewish people, so I asked the manager working there where was the Hanukkah things, He folded his hands softly saying "We dont cater to that". So when did Marshalls become Antisemitic? Am I the only Jewish person in Ballwin I asked? I was totally baffled. He said I...
Read full review of MarshallsOnline order being cancelled after being approved by the bank.
I've been sitting here trying to order from Marshalls for the last 48 hours. My order number are [protected], [protected],[protected], [protected]. Every last one of my orders was canceled when I called the bank they told me they was all approved they actually have 15 transactions that were all approved even though Marshall's canceled them and I really do feel like this discrimination being that I just made a order and it was approved yesterday at TJ Maxx the other number is [protected]. Due to the holidays I cannot seek legal advice but I am going for a discrimination case because this is true discrimination especially being that your financial institution just approved my card yesterday
Desired outcome: I would like for my order to be approved my original order with the seven items on it that was made today after they approved my order for TJ Maxx
Marshalls returns at Montreal Atwater Store is not a pleasant experience
You spend $1000 at their store and then some cashier gives you attitude when you return 3 things in perfect condition and within the time period. That store needs to change their bully staff. They inspect every single thread and lint on the products and ask you why you are returning.
Easy to buy - hard to return. Despite so many cashiers in all the Winners/Marshalls/Homesense stores suggesting to customers to buy and try at home because you can always return them if it doesn't fit.
Racial discrimination
I went to Marshalls today to return a door wreath. I still had the tags on it and I showed her my receipt through my phone. She examined the door wreath for about 3 minutes. She then look at my phone to make sure it was on there. I told her there was nothing wrong with. I said that the leaves were sharp for my children and I wanted to return it. See then walk to the manager and they were reviewing it for about 4 minutes going back and forth as to see if something was wrong with return the item. I was racially profiled, she saw my receipt and it took them a long time to return it. I stated to the cashier that I work for TJ Maxx you have my receipt you have the item it is not defected I'm asking for a return right now. what you're doing is racially profiling if you have a tag on it and you have my receipt there should be no problem with the return. See this is the second time that I've had an issue with this woman she needs to be fired at the Marshalls in Dublin California
Management
The store manager is hated by everyone. The entire staff talks behind each others back. I was asked to guard the loading dock. 3 weeks ago. Originally I was told to stay outside then inside now I am forced to stand under the door. The employees constantly remark about how boring my job is and why I wear a mask. I shouldn't have to talk to anyone. I was recently asked to follow the instructions of the construction workers. Then today I was told everything I do is wrong. I received my first break today and I was ridiculed for running. I am not allowed to sit. I am not allowed to use the bathroom or buy water. During a twelve hour shift of standing under the loading dock door I was told I cannot get it together. Truly worse than a night tremor. I even tried opening a door and was screamed at in front of everyone. The mgmt discuss my behavior on the walky talky when all I was originally ordered to do was watch out for thieves. Now I am walking on egg shells.
Desired outcome: Fire the Managers Now
They refuse to do returns. Do not honor their return policy. Vile towards customers
Marshall's on Queens Blvd, Queens NY. Extremely nasty attitude from management and cashiers. I was told the items I was returning didn't match the tickets. I just bought the items few days ago... When I politely asked the cashier (who could barley speak any English) to check again, she started yelling at me in Arabic I believe. When I asked if someone else...

I was sick and worked their. The Manager was rude to me and I said I was sick so I guess I would have to quit. She said yes. I have covid real bad and am on my 8th day. I will get better but never shop their again. I have already been told of another job. Covid is a bad sickness, it's to bad people like her are allowed to put you down for being sick. I quess because I'm a man 64 she has issues.
Cashier unwilling to do a return
I went to Marshall's today to do a return on 3 items (pants, sweater, blouse) that I bought at another Marshall's location. The cashier first asked what the dollar amount of the return was...I was confused because I've never been asked that before and it's also right on the tags. So she proceeds to take the 3 items and goes to the back counter and inspects the receipt and items, then calls another lady and talks some more which I can't hear what they're saying. When she comes back she says, "I can only do a return on the blouse and not the other two because they're not in the system. You have to go back to the other store to return the other items." I explain that all items are on the same receipt and she says "I don't know if you got this on sale but it's not in the system and I can't return it. That's all I know." She was cold, rude, and that response did not make sense at all. The other lady she was talking to then stood behind me as if she was checking I wasn't stealing or something...what an unpleasant experience. I feel like she said I had to go the other Marshall's so she didn't have to deal with me because it should make no difference which Marshall's I return the new, unworn items to.
Desired outcome: I'd like to be able to return the items at my local Marshall's as opposed to having to travel an hour way to the other Marshall's where I made the original purchase.
Manager Mrs. Val
When my daughter and I shop at the store... Mrs Val one of the manager will follow us around the store whenever she there, every time. When I shop or my daughter comes in. No one at the store behaves in this way at all. I worked for the goverment before I retired and we always dress well. When she follows us around she makes it obvious she seems to really enjoy it she'l smile a lot it seems to really amuse her, I don't know if she prejudice of other nationalities or what motivates her to act this way. I do not shop there anymore and never will
I shop in another city now her behavior is disgusting. I always bought things your store merchandise has very pretty things for house decorating.
Thank you,
Sincerely
Janice Monroe

Severely bullied by an employee
I am very infuriated while writing this. I just left the Marshalls and HomeGoods at 8830 US 31 Indianapolis, IN 46227. As soon as I park I see a male employee who was collecting carts he just stares me down and gave me the most evil look I’ve ever seen. And when I get into the store I Can’t take two steps without hearing this guy just making fun of me and talking crap about me to other employees very loudly I could tell he wanted me to hear. He made a comment about my hair and appearance and then he said some thing else to where the female employee that was standing beside him said that’s so mean. Throughout the whole time in the store he just kept going And then of course the other employees joined in and did the same. I hurried and went to the register to pay for my couple items I had had the chance to pick up in the midst of all this and I was very rudely demanded payment and then I thanked her because I have human decency, and then she ignored me and threw my bag at me. But that was nothing compared to the hell I had just been through, It was so disgusting And really did a number on my depression. I recently had a baby girl and have been struggling with extreme postpartum depression on many days where I can’t even get out of bed but I did today. I made myself get up, try to look presentable and go shopping for Some clothes for my baby girl. This is a really sad world when a new mother can’t even go to a department store without getting extremely bullied by its employees. I felt 1 million times worse than I did before I went in and I didn’t think that was possible this guy needs to do so much better because you never know what people are going through.
Desired outcome: I want a sincere apology from the male employee caused all of this hurt
Customer service and return policy
I purchased over $500 in products this week. Upon getting home and opening them, I noticed that one storage container (priced at $12.99) was broken. I returned to the Monticello, NY store with the product and receipt. While there, my daughter picked out a backpack and lunchbox ($14.99 and $9.99) respectively. When we got to the register and I explained that I needed to return the item, the cashier walked away without explanation to speak with the manager on duty. The manager came over and told me they could not accept the item as a return because it has to be in new resellable condition. I explained that it should never have been sold to me in that condition in the first place. She refused to refund the item, so I walked out without purchasing the additional items, leaving behind the broken one as well. Once I got to my car, I decided to go back in to retrieve the broken item and found the manager and cashier looking at the item and laughing about it. I said excuse me, asked for my item back, and requested the corporate contact information. The manager told me the number is on the bottom of the receipt. I again left and once in my car looked at the receipt to find no corporate contact information. I called into the store and requested to speak with the green haired manager, as I didn't yet have her name. I asked for her name(Bre) and explained that the corporate contact information was not on the receipt and again requested it. Instead of providing the information, she began to argue with me about it being on the receipt and then told me, "You can just Google it," while refusing to provide me the information. This service is completely unacceptable. First and most importantly, I have been a loyal customer and literally spent over $500 on two purchases in the past 3 days alone. I was returning 1 item, which was sold to me in broken condition, while planning to purchase additional items. Common sense has to prevail somewhere! Is it worth losing a valued customer over $12.99, when my sales receipt reflects a much larger purchase and many items...only one of which I'm returning. Clearly it was broken at the time of sale. Unfortunately, losing a value customer is exactly what has happened. Furthermore word of mouth travels rapidly among my family and friends, who are also no longer willing to support your business. The remainder of items I have not opened from that receipt, which values far greater than the $12.99 refund, are promptly being returned. Do better Marshalls!
Desired outcome: Refund my money for the broken item. Depicted in the picture is one of two receipts. The other total was $324.00.
