a small hole in the rear silencer
I have purchased a SX4 ZXi from your dealter at Port Blair, Andaman during July, 2008 but on today i noticed a pin hole in the rear mufler of the silencer and which is liking water which is comming from the engine . I made the inspection with the authoriesed dealer on today itself and they also noticed the leak but without being hit by any thing. they also noticed that it is because of manufacturing defect. Now what I want to know is whether this part could be replaced with the new one or not . My vehicel had all the 3 free servicing and my vehicle No. is AN 01E 0888.and my name is Smti MV. Jolly, Pgt Bio, State Institute of Education, Siksha Sadan, Port Blair, Andamans. Sir If it could be replaced on account of manufacturing defect and on under waranty period which is not at all lapsed then kindly intimate it in my husbands phone No. [protected]. Thank you. evading to give 10 months back booked and allotted dzire
we booked dzire vdi silver on 13-10-2008 . Dealer Mitra Agencies Place Vijayawada State Andhra Pradesh. people those who booked the vehicle subsequent to me got the vehicle recently . But they are evading me to give the vehicle. we can guess the reasons why they are practicing such type of things . I approached mitra agencies manager he told they cancelled my booking without intimating me about it. he asking me to give fresh booking form and he try to get it but no commitment. I refused to give the fresh booking form because no value for 10 months old booking how can we believe them, since October 2008 we are getting phone calls from central office Delhi Maruti Suzuki marketing people .they are pursuing the position of the booking till now. It is the evidence for my booking. We have to wait and see what action can be taken by Maruti Suzuki people regarding this.

I have purchased new maruti car 800, on 1 october 2009, from dealer TRI CITY, zirakpur, at that time they have committed Rs. 2500 return cheque against govt. employee scheme within a week after purchase. but we didn't get any cheque from their side. Also they are not giving any suitable reason for the delay. Kindly take the necessary action as soon as possible.
maruti has launched ritz without road test
I am a loyal customer of your brand since 1994. My first car was Maruti 800, after that I purchased Maruti Alto, and then was Esteem and now I am using your Maruti RITZ. Frankly speaking I had a very bad experience since the day I bought the car, It seems that Maruti has Launched RITZ without road test.
Problems I’m facing since the day I bought this car from “Magic Auto Dwarka, Delhi”:
1. Continuous noise from the Right door pillar, which is quite irritating while driving.
2. While driving on the highway at a speed of 75-85 Kmph / 2100 rpm, I noticed continuous jerks and vibrations which shakes the whole body and causes a lot of discomfort and headache while driving. These vibrations stop when the care touches the speed of 90Kmph or above, (Usually this much speed is not possible in the city).
3. Car A/C makes lot of noise when it starts in the morning or after long gap during the day time.
Problems occurred afterward
1. After 2000 kms. all Doors and plastic moulds inside have started making noises (Doors trims, dash board, under body noise etc).The whole car seems to be like a rattle with different kinds of sounds coming from different sides.
2. Wipers sometimes are not smooth and makes ’creaky” sound.
3. In Power window switch assembly, button for “Left Rear window” does not work properly (spring stuck up).
Overall not a smooth and satisfactory driving rather it is very stressful as I drive more than 125Kms a day

I had opted for the Maruti Auto card in June 2006 because of the offer of upto 20000 loyalty exchange points on exchange of old maruti car with new one. I exchanged my old omni with a new esteem, the sales person of maruti autocard draws and shows me a chart and calculates and tells me that i will get only 5000 points. When i asked where is all this calculation shown in the booklet that you had provided, he had no answer. When I spoke to his higher level manager he says that they have published it in the new booklet which probably i dont have. On top on that, Mr Manish Khanduja who is the Manager at Regional Level says to the sales person, that the customer will fight for a week and then keep quite. This is really disgusting. Maruti is just cheating people by issuing the auto cards and claiming such high loyalty bonuses.
A brand new car - goes for servicing, slight noise there when you steer towards the left. The service station guys say there is a leak in the power steering column & it would be ready in a days time.
After frequent calls to the service station, dealer & Maruti - Regional Manager get to hear that there is a manufacturing defect & they are trying to source a part from Gurgao. 5 days now - havent seen the car back, have had no confirmation from anyone about when I do get the car back.
Have already registered a complaint with Maruti call centre & on their we-site, still no reverts.
This is to bring to your notice the defective piece sold to me on the above date. It has been parked in my garage ever since. Its last visit to your Service Engineer from Delhi was on 8/11/2004. He reported some technical problem in ECV which he said is out of stock etc, before this they had some other rationale, as a customer I am least interested in such stories. It has only been used in one or two occasions in last seven months as it has been stopping more than moving itself, hence has to be parked.
Careless attitude by service personnel at RNS motors yashwantpur Bangalore despite repeated complaints about abnormal sound near front wheel while driving on inclination or turning the vehicle since 2 years. During last visit i was told it is due problem with driving shaft which needs to be changed and it is not covered under extended warranty because once boot has been changed on the same side. I kept on telling same compliant to each and everyone who have been attending my vehicle since 2nd free service and it was brushed off as some mud in suspension nothing major.
Even i told about unusually smooth clutch action/play an year ago which was also neglected and i had to pay for changing the clutch assembly.
I am wondering is it manufacturing defect? or deficient service from reputed maruti company and its chain of sales service outlets?
I am being servicing my car at Fortpoint, Thane. Recently, I was facing problem of Axle & water leakage. Axle Problem: Fortpoint service advisor Mr. Rushikesh & Pritam informed me that left axle needs to be replaced and when i actually gave my car for changing the axle, service advisor Ram told that there was no problem in left axle and right axle was required to change and he changed it. After 1 week, i again gave my car for same problem, now they are saying that left axle also needs to be changed. Earlier also i was hearing the sound when i was taking left and today also same. Hence, i don't know why they have changed right axle. I want to challenge Fortpoint telling that they have changed right axle without any reason and unnecessary charged me for nothing. If they are ready to take the challenge then let them changed left axle by new one and put my old right axle. I want to give this challenge to them.
Water Leakage Problem: It is purely bad quality car which maruti had given to me. My car is 2.5 years old and my car condition is as attached photos. My car apron has got rusted. Fortpotint is saying that my car is not under warranty and cannot be done free of cost. But i want to mention over here that before six months there was no rains. So, there is no reason of water leakage. It was reported immediately when rains started. I request you to consider this and change the apron under warranty / insurance.

(Mp)M/s.Jeewan Motors P ltd,Arera Hills,bhopal vide DC No.7000332 dated 07.6.07.,that time the marketing personnels are give good resopnse and respect.After our procurement of vehicle,our 2 friends are procured the same model vehicle throuh our source.The name is Mr.Anil Kumar and Mr.Subrahmanium.But the Marketing people of jeewan motors are refused to give credit points for my autoard.I think this a cheating against your valued cusotmers.The last time I requiested to Mr.Shahadab khan (sales executive of Jeewan motors)to issue the credit point,but I received his answer very toughy language.We are very thanks for the issue of autocard from maruti udyog,but the dealers are negletcted the rules and they are doing the work his own way.I am very shameful to your authorised dealer jeewan motors,and his sales personnel they are not any responsibility after sale of a vehicle or there valued customers

I puchased my vehicle from a Maruti Dealer. Few month ago, it was met with an accident and I shifted the vehicle for repair to Maruti Authorised Service Station Speedway Automobile, Joginder Nagar.
The owner of MASS Mr. Sanjay promosed us the good quality of repair in resonable time. But he took too much time to repair the vehicle. When he delivered the vehicle, we found multiple problems in vehicle, like dull appearance, elctrnoc accesories are not working, abnormal sound, tyres are worn out badly after 530 Km running, rain water is coming inside the vehicle. We told MASS owner to resolve the probilems, but he refused to do so. Then we again shifted the vehicle to Berkeley Automobiles Chandigarh for rectification of these problems. They tried thier level best to rectify the problems, but unable to do so. Then I came to know that the basic repair of vehicle was done in wrong/unethical manner. The side bodies of vehicle are welded by oxy acetylene welding. The safety standards of vehicles are totaly diminished & it is unsafe to drive this vehicle. Then I complained in call center of Maruti ([protected]) with complaint no [protected]. The Maruti officer committed me to resolve the problem but not reloslved for two months. Then I called the call center again and asked for the status of my complaint, but I surprized to know that the compalint was closed without any remarks. Then I again complained wth no [protected] . I called after three days, again the complaint was closed without any remarks. Then I emailed to contact@maruti.in . They provided me the Case Number: [protected]. But no resolution/ followup is being done by Maruti.
This is a unfair practice with customer to supress the facts and not to resolve the problem.
Kindly resolve the problem on urgent basis.
After about two month of purchase, when the monsoon started we have noticed that water getting inside the car and gets logged in the rear side. On 8th May 2007 we brought this matter into the dealer’s attention and it is been serviced at the dealer workshop.
The vehicle is already due for 2nd free service and on September 20th we have found the same problem (water getting inside) and taken to the same workshop. The workshop folks said, it is not serviceable by them and it is been taken to their head office workshop.
Just because one or two cars have such problems does not mean all the cars r junk. Even Toyota had a global recall of cars, even BMW, TATA, Huyndai, VOLVO, etc... have problems. There is nothing like perfection on this earth, we have to live with such things and get them repaired when ever the need comes. If there is a major problem, like the above one, please take a storng against the company and demand a replacement / repair or ask them to refund.

An order was Booked for SWIFT LDI WHITE on 24-04-2008 with the authorised dealer in AGRA M/s KAVISHA MOTORS AGRA PVT.LTD. vide Order Booking Form No. 536 .
An advance was also given vide Ch.No.458817 Dtd.24-04-08 for Rs.100, 000.00. This cheque was subsequently deposited and proceeds of the same were debited to the dealer's a/c on 28-04-08
The order form clearly mentions appx. delivery period 7 days.
This period has expired on 01-05-08. Even if additional grace period of 5 days is taken into a/c this ended on 06-05-08. Till today the vehicle has neither been delivered to us nor the concerned people are ready to confirm anything . They keep on saying that the the MD of their company is out of town and would be back soon
We are afraid we have been cheated and taken for a ride. That too by the vendor of a company that claims to be at par with international standards.
Kindly advise your dealer to treat this as our last reminder and advance notice to him through you . If we don't get the delivery of the vehicle within the next 48 hours, we shall take legal action against them entirely at their costs & expense.
Please advise further to your dealer that this matter will be out to the press and the electronic media in the next 24 Hours if don't receive written delivery date confirmation from them

In a new car how could it has to been sent again & again for the same issues as if I have not a purchased a new car but purchased a bullock ride.
I purchased my first car in 1987(MARUTI 800) & since than I am one of the loyal customers of Maruti as I earlier never faced any such issues.
The problems in my car started right from the beginning as some sound came from the front side of car and after repeated complains the problem was not solved. As on 23-03-2011when I again went to the CONCEPT (QE01) workshop the dashboard of car was opened by the mechanic he drives the vehicle & says the sound is coming from inside the FRONT RIGHT PILLAR & decides to open it. And after it’s opening to the shock it was found that the two joints were separately hanging and not welded which was the huge blunder in its production stage. Immediately the photographs were taken & sent to Lucknow Zonal office.(Contact Person- T.S.M Sumit Singh Mangat).
After Communication made between Sumit Singh Mangat & CONCEPT(QE01) I was told that the FRONT RIGHT PILLAR going to be welded as per the Instructions given by the T.S.M.
The other continuous problem is that the Wheel Rim is continuously getting de-shaped as 5 wheel rims has been replaced & changed on F.O.C Basis and 1 wheel rim has been changed on payment basis but still the problem of de-shaping of rims continues.
Moreover, how such a blunder has happened as I made the payment of Approx. Rs 4 lakh for a new & trouble free ride of car not for the welded car patch up work. As from its purchase date 05-11-2010 to 26-03-2011 the car is having continuous and never ending problems.
Hoping that you will look towards the above matter as give a solution to my satisfaction as I want the car should be replaced with & I would like to have a brand new ‘Wagon R Duo LXI Model’, which should be perfect as being a manufacturing defect and a mistake committed on the part of by MARUTI SUZUKI INDIA LTD.

I booked Estilo VXI-ABS on 25 sept 2009 with one up motors india pvt ltd.At the time of booking i was told that car will be delivered after Diwali but latest by 25 oct 2009.I have made full payment to the dealer.Car is not delivered till date after 45 days of booking.Dealer is pressurising me to accept the delivery of another variant of his choice
There is quite monopoly at dealer's end in B and C Grade cities, due to this dealers create several such problems to customers.
I am facing problem during purchase in KOTA, Bhatia and Company, I booked the vehicle on 25th August 2009 and was assured of delivery on 30th Sept 2009 (Azure Grey).
Now on 26th Sept 2009 I was communicated that the vehicle could not be delivered in Azure Grey and since all the bank formalities and advance of 50000 has been given I don't have any option out in this small time interval.
Since 30th Sept 2009 has been declared as auspicious day for purchase for my family, I have no option left for looking at other cities like Jaipur, Udaipur etc.
Hope that somebody else doesn't come into this trap.
Monopoly should end to enhance competitive and consumer friendly dealing.

I, Mr. Ramesh Manik Patil having Purchased Maruti Swift D"Zire VDI Car No. MH-04-DR-295 have to state that I pucrhased the above said Car in June 2008 from Laxmi Cars (P) Ltd., Kashimira, Thane. At the time of delivery of car I was not offered Test Drive ofthe same. Therefore after someperiod of 10 to 15 Days, I felt non-pickup, Pulling & Stearing Hard & Heavy of the Car. Immediately, next day I complained the same matter to the Laxmi Cars(p) Ltd., but That time reply was recieved from the above dealer's staff that the said problem will be solved at the time Fist Service.
But also after First Service the same problem continued to occur while driving the car. There after I continued complaining about the same, but even after Third Service of My Car & till about running of 16500 KM. I was facing the Similar Problem. Then Maruti Suzuki authoried Engineer conducted Test Drive of the said car & found out the Problem of Wheel Alignment & Balancing. and after strong recommendation of the Engineer, they did Wheel alignment of the car on 22/7/2009. but even after the said work, the problem persisted & within few days fom the said alignment, New Problem of Tyres
Condition of the Car occured & all the tyres were given for inspection & inspection report is awaited.
However I have to mention that during last 14 months Period, People of the Dealer Laxmi Cars(p) Ltd had never suggested Wheel Aligment nor they had served or taken care of the vehicle with due Care & caution. Hence I hereby complain to you that One of the Tyres of the car is totally out of Order & balance Four Tyres are also not in conditon to work & seem to be of poor qaulity. So I request you to solve my above Problem & further let me know whether all tyres will be replaced from the Dealer Side or Maruti Company side.

poor service
Dear Sir, I have compelled to write this mail to you for appropriate action regarding my car problem. I had pruchased the WagonR LXI on 26/09/2006 from "Machino Techno-Kolkata"
My car was giving me full satisfaction, in the terms of performance, comfort & milage (15-16 km/Lit-without AC) &^ (13.5-14km/lit with AC). After all the periodical services on time, In the month of February 09, I found, there is a severe smell of petrol & the car milage has dropped to 10-10.5km/lt without AC. Immediately, I contacted "Mechino Techno" for the complete service. According to the guideline of the blue book, the performed the paid service(4th) on 28/02/09. The concerned centre confirms that, the fault has been repaired properly & no more problem will occur.
From 28th of Feb 09 to till date the problem is on & I am fade up with the damn smell & low milage (10km/lit).
After given several reminder over phone, no one has bothered to take up this issue seriously. Please suggest, where should I go to solve this problem.
I had sold my Santro & switch to Wagon R for better service, not the bitter one.

After my first free service on about 23rd feb.2009, I found that brake fluid cap was missing.

I had paid an advance of 40000 wide receipt no : REC [protected] on 5th June 2009. The Swift VDI was booked on 5th June 2009 and the car was supposed to be delivered by Sagar Automobiles on Aug 5th 2009. But as of date 7th August 2009 they have no clue about the car and now saying that there is a problem between Maruti and MRF and that is why the car is delayed. I then had no choice but agreed for the car to be delivered on September begining. The car has not been blocked and the bank has already started taking installment for the car that has not even been blocked. Is there a way to take it up with the Maruti Management? Can someone guide me.

getting rusting

(1) left side of the booth doors .( in this left back door go hole with rust ). they have created problems in car for unneessorry charges
I have given my car for just normal routine service. my car did not had any kind of fault while i given them
at the time of submission they told me to have a major service of Car which would cost me around 4.5 k i said Ok . when they started doing service they told me that they need to change break shoe as it is going to expire. and it would cost me 1200 Rs. i said Ok change it.
But the problem started when they told me that they have found some problem with my Car's Cluch and they need to change it and it would cost me around 3.5 k . As i mentioned earlier my car did not had any kind of problem with anything. now they created problem with car;s Cluch and now they want me to pay 3.5 k for the problem which is created by them by wrongly handled the car during car service, now i dont have any option instead of paying them this much of charge,
I want to register the complain about this authorized dealer which is cheating the customers by charging unnecessary charges.
Please dont give your car these unprofessional authorized dealer. these people are chaeting customers.

Even I have faced the similar kind of problem with Nanda Motors in Phase-2 service center. I was a regular customer from past 2 years. On my last service, September 2009, I am facing problem in start-up, then couple of days back I have all Maruti On-road-service team to fix this issue. They reported me due to Battery malfunction I am facing problem (my car is just 3 years old, make Jan-2007). When I checked the battery number which I have noted at the time of relocation to Noida, I found that battery number is not matching with the one I have.
I have reported this issue to Service Center head Mr. Nanda, but he is having his own story. First he said we have serviced your car only once as per record, then he found some more evidence of servicing of my car. But he is not agreeing that his team has tampered/replaced my car battery.
Even I don't recommend Nanda Motors for car servicing. I am not sure how Maruti certify such type of service centers which has very low CUSTOMER ORIENTATION.

I am your customer from the last 15 years. during last years, I had bought only maruti cars out of which 3 are omni, 1wagonr and 1zen estilo and this time again I planned to buy a wagonr. but this time I was little bit confused between hyundai i10 and wagon r. thinking of the past years, I made my mind that if there was not a single complaint in maruti cars then why should I change to hyundai.
Now coming directly to the point, this time I haven’t got good response from your dealer ‘jaycee motors, amritsar’. they are so lazy people. no one bother about their duties and responsibilities. accessories counter lady doesn’t know how to speak with customers. we are asking for the things of the car which were with the car and she came to us and said that we should tell her for that. we had waited a lot there. how silly people they are! they have no manners. this time I got so poor response from jaycee motors, amritsar that I have a plan for sx-4 also but now I am sure that I will never look back to maruti suzuki cars. i’ll prefer honda or hyundai for cars.
There was a scheme of steering wheel cover which they told us that they will inform us when it will come. and I had not got it yet. and I have bought wagon r on 10th of july. they told us car will be ready in 3 to 4 hours but it was not so..
I will tell all my dearer and nearer to never buy a maruti car as their service is not good.

I am an owner of wagon r, I have sent my wagon-r for body repair (accidental) purpose to your authorized service provide one up motors at c-16a, transport nagar, kanpur road - lucknow. the quality of services are very poor, they have painted right side of my car and left backside scratches as it is, the paint they have sprayed has covered entire right side and front glass, making front view hazy. I have observed the back scratch at the time of delivery which they said, "ok we will do it in next few days" and they left the vehicle with me. when I left my office for home it was raining so I used the wipers I observed that wipers were making a lot of hissing sound (the glass became hazy too) then I came out and swiped my hand on front glass there I felt that a layer of very minute sand is permanently stuck there. I strongly object this kind of services and attitude by maruti authorized service provider. my car must be in ok condition as soon as possible because it becomes difficult to drive in night due to haziness of front glass. it is raining season here and any time I may meet an accident due to this haziness. My Car, Maruti Suzuki Swift LDi with No-DL5CS2929 colour-"White" Model-"2008", is One year old .I have send it 2-3 times for claim to the dealer. Last claim was on 28 August 2009.We are not at all satisfied with the services provided by you people you are not using good quality of paint even dont know how to paint.It was not uniformly painted, the shade of paint was not matching, and after 1 month its white colour becomes dull.Following parts of the car was repaired-Bonet, Front Bumper, Left Side complete, Left door.Diggi and back bumper of the car. i purchased a maruti swift VDI on 26 june this year from a dealer named BABA AUTOS in Ferozepur(Punjab).first of all i paid the total amount of the vehicle in advance, even then i struggled to get it after 35 days.
the major thing i suffered was on insurance.i got my insurance done through ALL NDIA ASSURANCE COMPANY LTD which has a tie up with MARUTI INDIA for its vehicle insurance.i got my insurance done on the same date when i purchased the car and the payment was made in cash the same day to the dealer.unfortunately i met with a minor accident on 27 july 2009 in delhi and gave my car for repair to pasco motors gurgaon.as i had already got my insurance done from ALL INDIA ASSURANCE COMPANY, i was told that i am eligible for a cashless claim policy under the insurance cover but when finally i was to collect my vehicle after the repair on 29 july 2009, i came to know that the money i had paid to the dealer for my vehicle insurance has still not been deposited with the insurance company and thus my insurance still stands null.and i am just holding a document(insurance policy) which actually doesn't covers my vehicle insurance.i had to pay the full amount in cash to pasco motors.
and when confirmed from BABA AUTOS, i was told that they have deposited the cheque for my vehicle insurance on 27 july 2009. that means the dealer was earning interest on the amount i had paid him for insuring my vehicle for complete one month and i was practically speaking driving an uninsured vehicle and i am still not sure that he has deposited this cheque because i hold no proof for the same, i just have the insurance policy document with me.
i cannot expect such a pathetic service from a maruti dealer
BABA AUTOS FEROZEPUR(PUNJAB) are hopeless in terms of customer service, something not expected from a maruti dealer. being a banker i know the importance of relationships but i think maruti still needs to be taught on this
would never recommend anyone to go for maruti vehicle and definately not for insurance through maruti dealers.

First of all before writing my complaint I am very sorry to inform that myself and my family members are lost our trust in maruti because of the unsatisfactory service given by one of the maruti service dealer m/s. popular vehicles & services ltd., as we all are using maruti vehicles for a long time but for the past three years the approach from popular are making us to believe that its better not to take any maruti vehicle in future and also as a media person the attitude from them make me to advice others not to think for maruti products.
With the ref: above, its my humble request to look forward the matter.
From the very first time itself they are not keeping their commitment, refer my complaint registration dt: 10th april 2007 at maruthi udyog regarding the delay of delivering my vehicle. this is a good example that I can show about there bad dealings, when I registered a complaint they gave the car on very next day ie: on 11th april 2007 without delay. then after this incident also all the service including car washing till date was done there, still this time they are not keeping loyalty in there services. the complaints mentioned are still existing as follows:-
1. the missing problem on lpg gas: - while driving in lpg I face some missing but when I shift to petrol mode the car runs properly.
2. steering lock during long drive (major issue) – I have given it on 8th july 2009 and delivered on 10th july 2009, but still the concerned complaint was exits. then I informed mr. sankar babu, customer service manager. the next day he came with a technician for a test drive and said that the problem is damperring, and it can be rectified by adjusting and on 13th july 2009, they had took the car for correcting this. by noon I had a test drive with mr. sankar babu and the technician, during that time I felt it was ok. from the next day onwards the same problem occurs and when I spoke to mr. sankar babu, he told it will get corrected after a long run. but its still exits after a long drive. I think they are waiting to expire the extended warrenty (60, 000km –which is near to reach), to start the major work.
3. washing :- during the last time, I found that the car was not properly washed and I showed the dirt to them by removing the press type wheel cup in front of the supervisor. they are taking the cleaning towel from the customers vehicle in every service, even if not for washing service.
It shows that the service centre is not looking after the car, to get a better service, I called to maruti call center on 23rd july 2009 (toll free no: [protected]) and spoke to mr. kishan and he took my mobile no. and promised me that somebody would be calling me at the earliest (complaint no: [protected]). but till now there is no call.

one more thing i have to mention that they will take customer cleaning towel from the vehichle.

i bought a maruti 800 from maruti dealer in shimla i.e. goyal motors on 07/07/2009. i was initially forced to buy accessories worth rs 10, 000/- from the local outlet against the discount of rs 10, 000/- offered by the company. This amount was subsequently adjusted against insurance premium for 1 year after protest and the balanced amount still had to be used for buying accessories from the outlet run in the same premises.
on repeated enquires from nearby dealers i.e. chandigarh etc i came to know that i was eligible for a rs 2500/- corporate discount being a doctor registered with the indian medical assoc.
the dealer has been dill-dallying on this issue and despite repeated visits and phone calls, the last of which was today i am yet to recieve my due discount cheque.
it is very regratable and shameful that a company of this stature and its dealers meet out such shoddy treatment to their customers and then place big ads in the newspapers claiming big things.

I was quite happy with the performance of my Alto and with my dealer Sarathy. They were maintaining a satisfactory service record of my vehicle. Till now I have not claimed insurance and hence I enjoy no claim bonus. And I have not given my car to any other service station than authorized dealers for repair.
In the last week of April ’09, my car got overheated, engine oil and coolant got mixed up and the car ceased. Sarathy took the vehicle and tried to repair it. First they figured out that the head gasket is damaged but even after replacing it, the problem persisted. They said there are cracks in the Head unit and they tried to correct it but in vain. Eventually, they replaced the unit (under warranty) and I got back my car in around 3 week’s time.
Things were going smoothly till Sunday, 12 July ’09 as my car’s underbody hit a small rock while I was coming from Kottayam. The rock hit at the front part of the exhaust pipe (where the curve comes) and there was a sound coming when I started driving again. The next day itself I went to the dealer and after inspecting it in detail for about 90min, they said the evident sound is because the front portion of the exhaust pipe is damaged and it needs to be replaced (they said the cost is approximately Rs. 2000/-). That time I just got a feeling to have a second opinion, took the car back and made to inspect it in another Maruti authorized service centre nearby. They quickly identified the reason and told me there is a leak in exhaust manifold unit and air is coming out from it. The Exhaust pipe does not have much problem and need not be replaced even though it has a small depression due to the impact. They presumed that by replacing the manifold unit’s gasket - if I am correct, (I don’t remember the exact word) the sound will be gone.
I took the car back to Sarathy quickly and told what I learned from the other service centre. Sarathy again asked me time to fix it and the next day (Tuesday) they showed me in detail that the manifold unit does have a bend and replacing the gasket won’t do. Since the unit is expensive (they said it costs Rs. 15, 000) I was left with no option but to claim. Here again I just got an intuition that I should have a second expert opinion before claiming. I said I should get back the car in riding condition and I’ll let them know when to claim. After paying the amount for new gasket and labor charge I took my car from there.
Then I took the car to Hercules and through them I tried to claim. When the surveyor came from Royal Sundaram, he immediately ‘identified’ the car and said that he is ‘familiar’ with it as there was some issue regarding this car in Sarathy. I was claiming the insurance for the first time and I don’t know how he knows my car very well. He put the file on hold and later on it became clear that Royal Sundaram rejected my claim saying that the manifold will not bend by the kind of impact my car had. The surveyor said that to accept the claim, the car should show traces of a possible head on collision, which my car did not have. Now the car is in Hercules and they are trying to repair the manifold. There is no way I could replace the unit.
The statements from the insurance surveyor threw a lot of confusion to my mind. I would try to list out those intriguing matters one by one and would like you to look into it.
1. After the underbody impact of my car, why Sarathy - after 90min long inspection of my car - did not find out the exact cause of damage. I believe that the responsibility of diagnosing the exact problem of a vehicle lies on the Dealer, not on the customer. If I had not consulted with another technician, I would have been unaware of the whole picture.
2. Even if I had replaced the frontal part of the exhaust pipe (as suggested by Sarathy), the real problem would have still persisted, wouldn’t it?
3. Sarathy told me that the bend of manifold unit is happened because of the under body impact when my car engine was in very hot condition. I agree that my car travelled around 300KM before the impact and was very hot then. Initially I was convinced by their statement but later-on, after consulting with my friends in automobile field, I learned that a small impact on the exhaust, even in a hot engine condition, will not make the strong manifold unit to bend.
4. The surveyor also was very sure about the fact that such a bend will not occur after the kind of impact my car had. So I came to the following conclusions: (a) the bend somehow happened before the impact or (b) my Alto has a damaged or bent manifold unit right from the time of purchase
5. Since conclusion (b) is highly unlikely, I guess the real issue is that the manifold unit would have been already bent before the underbody impact
6. Conclusion (a) throws light to the former incident of Head unit replacement in my car that was done in Sarathy a couple of months back. Recently I learned that the Head can be replaced only after removing many important parts of the car, including manifold unit. To reassemble it, the workmanship should be very precise and sharp. There is every possibility of a human error that must have happened while installing the Head unit.
7. The most interesting statement came from the insurance surveyor. The moment Hercules showed him my car, he ‘recognized’ it. It’s been almost 26 months since I purchased Alto and this is the first time that I am claiming. Then how is he so ‘familiar’ with my car? He said he knows the car and there was some issue in Sarathy related to my car. I am absolutely unaware of an ‘issue’ that occurred in Sarathy based on my car.
8. I now starting to reach a conclusion that while replacing the Head unit, by some human error, the manifold unit might have become bent. To rectify that, Sarathy might have consulted with the surveyor without intimating me and the surveyor might have rejected the ‘unofficial’ claim intimation. This incident might have been the reason for the surveyor being much ‘acquainted’ with my car.
9. I conversed with Sarathy and they did not admit any of the statements. They have washed off their hands, Insurance Company has got away with my claim and now I have no options but to repair it. Hercules is now trying hard to fix manifold unit’s deformation.
I now started to think that, as a customer, I am the only loser in these series of events. The dealer and the insurance company have washed off their hands. Instead of getting a new manifold unit straight away, I now need to pay for the repair and then have to cope with a repaired unit in my new car. I just get the feeling that the interest of a genuine customer is on stake here.
I hope you would look into this matter and I would urge you to take necessary steps to make my car trouble free.

We have booked one Swift Dizire VDI with M/s Automotive Manufacturers P Ltd, Plot No 575, Kamptee Road, Nagpur - 440026 on 4th Of July, 2009 with specific instruction in writing to the representative for insurance to be done by us only. (scanned copy of letter / order duly acknowledged is attached herewith)
We have specifically asked the representative of Automotive that if you not ok with our insurance then please do not process the case. With full knowledge about insurance by us only, he has booked the order.
Accordingly, we have processed the case with HDFC Bank Ltd for loan and accordingly approved with disbursement of loan amount including full bal payment to dealer (Automotive). The fact of Insurance is well known to the dealer and accordingly one of our Insurance agent called them and get the Engine No, chasis no for insurance and insured the said vehicle.Now the vehicle is insured on our name.
Now Mr Bhusari from Automotive informed us that we cannot give you the vehicle unless you insured from our side.
We are not able to understand, inspite of full knowledge about the insurance, why such people wasted our time, money, energy, etc. In case of rejection of order for all damages, costs, etc the Dealer shall be solely responsible.
The negligent behaviour of such Dealer shall be a matter of concern. Specifically after compliance with all the formalities, processing of loan case including disbursment, Insurance cover, full payment, etc the Dealer informing and stressing for Insurance from them. Inspite of the fact that, we have specific communication in wrting to the representative of Dealer for insurance, he should not have booked the order.
Now the case has become for cancellation of order at the fault of dealer after everthing has been finalised. Surprisingly the representative to whom we have called yesterday for delivery of vehicle, he told us that he is going to deliver the vehicle today at 4.00 PM. This is very surprising now that Mr Bhusari is showing inablility to deliver the vehicle.
Holding matter on last stage at the fault of him shall not be pardoned.
Kindly look into the matter at the earliest.

I contacted m/s rana moters in delhi, they told me that it is battery problem then I bought a new battery in warrenty itself by cash but after few days that same problem was occured in the middle of the road then I called up to on road service given by maruti the technition said sir its a battery problem the same words and the same problemas as well as he was asking for the fee for I said car is in warrenty but he said extended warrenty is a schme of charging money from the customer nothing is covered in extended warrenty no one can provide a solution to the custmer now I am frustated and writing this mail with the hope of some solution my car is in extnted warranty but no one is here to listen so please take an action and give me the solution for this problem.

I was regularly servicing my (First three free service)vehicle at maruti authorised service station of Fair deal sahibabad at UP, and later rest service from MNS GT Karnal road Delhi.Total milage of my car is 29000 Km. i saw there was a starting problem in my car and this i had told it to MNS tehnition at the time of service two times, but they did nothing at that time.Later i again contacted MARUTI SERVICE MASTERS GT KARNAL ROAD in Delhi, they told me that it is battery problem then i bought a new battery in warrenty itself by cash but thereafter i faced the same problem.Again I Contect maruti service master's technition, again they said, sir its a battery problem the same words and the same problem. Very sorry to write this mail to you. After a long harassment both physically and mentally by your dealer at nagpur as well as by the Area Sales Manager Mr. Goyal along with Mr. Patted the area service manager. Even a wrong feed back of the dealer is relied and a genuine complaint of the customer is ignored. It seems that now days the maruti is runned by the employees or it would be better to say that the employee of Maruti are the owners of the company.
My car new estilo Lxi Model [ White] Was purchased from ARYA CARS NAGPUR. On 25-11-2009. The car was send to the dealer for first servicing on 30-12-2009.The car was absolutely in fine conditions when given for servicing. When we received the car the condition was totally different. There was noise in the engine, problem in the suspension, the mud flab where not screwed, the RPM of the car was 1080, the tyre pressure was more then required. The accessory mobile charger was broken. It was a complete shock to us. The very next My brother took the vehicle to the dealer to get the things corrected but it was again a mistake fro our side that we took our car to the same dealer again. In the presences of my brother the car being inspected by Six person but they where unable to do needful as there body language clearly stated that they are helpless. My car was for 4 hours in there hand finally my brother loosed her patience brought the car. The very next day we took our vehicle to Shreejee Garage an authorized service provider for maruti and all my cars go to the same gurage for last couple of decades. There it was found that the mounting of the engine where loosened they rectified it. Still there was some problems with the car. The garage person said we rectified what ever is in our hand rest need to be taken by the dealer to safeguard the warranty of the vehicle. Than we gave complaint on [protected]. where we found that the dealer gave a wrong report that they visited my residence rectified the faults and the car is under observation till 6 jan.2010. which ridiculous. Then Mr. Patted the area service manager called us when I and brother visited your area office Mr.Patted listened to us purposely called Mr. Goyal The area sales manager and both of them stated blaming us why we gave car at Arya we should give it to Seva as it is close by. We are non-technical persons hence cannot blame the delear and when we stopped them from such type of conversation both of them said get out of our office don’t waste our time and don’t disturb the decorum of the office.
My question is it the standard of Maruti for customer? For last 15 years I am driving a Maruti car hence being a maruti car lover is a crime? Do you think that a customer is idiot to complaint about a new car after months tome?
Now after repeated follow up we could talk to Mr. Kumar Prashant at Gurgaon. He assured me that my car will be replaced if we are not satisfied but please send the car to Seva to give us one chance. then my car went to Seva on 8 Jan 2010 where it was found that suspension nuts where loosened, the RPM was 1080, The tyre pressure was more. They did what they felt was ok. Now on trial we found that the problem was solved upto 60 % only. Still there is a noise in the rear side of the car, there are jerks. On complaining about the same Mr. Patted is saying take your car we have done everything needed.
This is very ridiculous. Now Mr.Patted is safeguarding the dealer and himself hence all the service engineers are saying what Mr.Patted says. Even Mr. Hussain from Automotive visited my place with Mr. Warkis but of no use.
My question why where the mounting of my car was loosened? Why the suspension nuts where loosened? Why the RPM was 1080? Is it write to open the machinery part without any reason or without the knowledge of the owner? Who purchased the car for me? I or the dealer? Is it the true value for my money spend? Why Mr. Prashant is backing the commitment of replacement?
I am not satisfied with the service and feedback given to me. My last and final mail to you sir. It is you to decide customer first or your employee and delear? If you are wright please satisfy us by doing the needful or by replacing my car and penaltying the dealer.

I Rajat Arora have Maruti Esteem and getting it serviced regularly. I recently got my car serviced on 9/9/09 from Service Masters - Gt karnal Road with job card no - JC09011999, REGISTRATION NO - DL2CAG 3040 SA NAME - AJIT KUMAR PANDEY. The service person was Mr Ajit Kumar Pandey who don't know what he is saying. I dropped my car arount 10 am and was commited the time of 5:30 pm. I reached there at 5:30 and was told in another 15 min it would be ready. I lastly got my car at 8:30 and was feeling so much frustated. However that was not the end of all, Mr Ajit told me that the wheel cover ( which was to be replaced) is not available. While checking the bill I saw that the charges of wheel cover were there. I asked him what was this, He told me he is not aware. Secondly one of tyre was punctured and I told them initially to get that done. While inspecting I was told the puncture could not happen but in the bill the charges were there. Thirdly, Pollution check was to happen but he told me since there were many cars in the line so that to coulldn't happen. While driving back home i could see the impression of hands on the back mirror, which these people had washed Since I got my car late at 8:30 so I couldn't check my car from inside. Beleive me the roadside people would do better service then this. I think if I am payin you so much amount then I want my car when delivered to be in perfect shape, which didn't happen o 9/9/09. braking system
i purchased my esteem lxi (brand new) on december 2007 and i did only 16000 kms yet. now its braking system is not working properly, its vacuum pressure leaks out when it is parked for only 30 minutes or more . and when i apply brakes while engine is not started, very first paddle cannot stop the car but it should do this for very first time only, note every time until we start the engine.
i visited the dealer where from i purchased (from shakti motors, sirsa, haryana) my car. but they people are intended not to hear my complaint.
they said it will work properly after starting engine only but it should stop car only once only once without starting engine .
plz help me what i shoul do. i not found even maruti suzuki's e-mail where i could send my complaint.

I had bought my Maruti Esteem LXi from Fair Deal Car Pvt limited in November 2008 it met an accident on 21st August 2009.
I gave it for repair under claim to at the fair deal service station on 22nd August 09.They repired the old bummers and got them painted saving that the insurance servaior denied that it cannot be replaced with the new one as it can be repaired.
however the bumper and the body has a good amount of gap on both the side and when i said to get it corrected they said said that it cannot be coorected more than that and it is the maximum they can do.
when i asked them to provide me a complaint register as i want to get my complaint registered they denied that the dont have any thing like this.
i reported to them that they heve borked the swithch of the AC window used to rotate it they said that they will get it corrected and will send a mechanic at my home at it was getting late (as it was 7.00 p.m).
On 29th August on mechanic (Rohit) came to my residential address and tryied to correct the AC window switch but he was not able to correct it instead he also broked the second one.
I again called at the Service station and another person picked the phone (Imran) and said that they will again send a mechanic and same will be corrected.
Till that day i had not received any call/any person from them.
If this is the level of services in the authorised service stations than it i better to get the cars repaired from the nearby local service stations intead o the authorised one.

The hole you describe is normal. It is there to let the water out which accumulates in the muffler from condensation as it cools down after the motor is shut off. In the warmer month you see it as water dripping in the winter you see it as white smoke which is water vapor similar to a tea pot boiling. They put the hole there so the water comes out and doesn't rust out the muffler and pipes. Most cars have this hole.
