I took out money from my credit card on 1 and 3 December. The transaction shows the same amount deducted twice .
Called call centre, so far no response.
Speaking to a customer care agent is a night mare
I am going to close my account with opening account in a bank where I can have accessibility .
I plan to close my account ASAP if this issue is not resolved immediately. This is fraud and putting the customer in stress . I always have had problems with this particular bank

unauthorized credit card charges and terrible customer service
A customer Bank representative called me to offer the Pay Protect product and he said that if I used my credit card, they will not charge to me anything, but something different has happened. They are charging it even if I use my card. In addition, I've been trying to call to the customer services phone and there is no a single option to get in contact with customer services representative. The phone services are really bad, I am really disappointed with this bank and I will not recommend to any one to get an account with them. The worst bank ever.
I second that. Customer service and unauthorized and hidden charges. Fraud and Lies to sell their products.

liability letter issuance
I am filing a complaint against mashreq bank regarding the issuance of my liability letter with reference nunber

that was requested last october 23, 2018. however I got to know that they have only process it on 30th of october. They gave me a very tough time for this process.
I believe this is my right to request for the letter but the staff who handled my request Ms. Shreya Talwar staff id# 62352 make a fool out of me. She asked for an offer letter from the buying bank. I immediately provided the same but she provided me a wrong email address, my email was not sent at all. i called the call center several times. I am very frustrated on what I have been through.
After charging me for unexplained fees whoever handled my concern after i call the phone banking keep on asking me the same offer letter which i already provided. its more than a month since I requested the liability letter.
I am so upset and disappointed.

Very bad customer service from mashreq bank . They are giving me a tough tine to issue a no liability letter. Its been 2months i have been waiting to get it, every time i call them they told me a new procedure. It is not acceptable fron a bank like mashreq. Staffs are unprofessional and lack of knowledge.
staff didn't do what he promised
I had a credit card master, for some medical issue i missed the payment my husband tried to call them to inform but no one Call back, when I finished came back from my treatment I receive a call before four days by somebody's name is Mr.Shinaz from collection department -i do have his office telephone number, mobile and WhatsApp conversation too. he told me mum Already made A waiver for my outstanding of my credit card master and you need to pay only 5500 AED, I confirmed with him and he confirmed too that I will get a confirmation Letter that my card will be closed and I am no longer with Mashreq Bank after I make the payment and the stuff never follow up with me, never call me never answered my call I tried to reach him many many times but unfortunately no reply ! now iam in a very bad situation as this money I got from charity as I need this letter as he promised me I am lost and I'm trying to leave message or call back no one is replying back and call center didn't even can call the collection back, this staff is a careless I need to make a complaint about the staff who put me in a very bad situation after he promised Me"this money from the government charity to help me to do my payment and he confirmed that he would get a letter but now since he is not as hearing my calls the letteralso is not ready no only think I need a letter mention that I made payment and card closed .

my account got closed
My current account got closed on 25th October, 2018 without any intimation from bank either by phone/sms /email, when I went to withdraw money from account, my debit card got declined and checked with one of the branches and they said my account got closed and they are not able to give the reason for that and I have never asked to close my account . Mashreq left me nowhere without any answers and last few days am after each branch to get the cash back which was in my bank and none is able to give any proper reply and customer care says as my account is closed, they are not able to give any reply as well as register a complaint against this account.

Further to my earliest request for reversal of fraudulent transactions on my credit card, On the follow up today, i was given to understand that it would take 180days to resolve this?
And the representative also said This amount needs to be paid and later if the fraudulent transactions are proved after 180 days, the amount will be reversed.
This is ridiculous... Why should a customer be penalized for someone who has misused outside UAE?
For your information, my supplementary card used by my wife swiped her card on 18th morning at AL QASMI HOSPITAL sharjah and within short span of time, some transactions from Brazil has been charged on the card.
Usually, whenever any transactions which is unusual in nature, Mashreq used to call me or send me a message for authentication. In this case, Mashreq has not sent any message nor they have called. I came to know about this transaction when one of your representative called me for availing installment on my purchase after 18th of October worth 4k. I was shocked to hear that within a day or two how can my purchases go up to 4k and i asked him to read out the details. I came to know only then.
I am very upset with the situation how mashreq has handled this and hence, And I will not be paying those fraudulent transaction amount which you have debited on my card.
You may cancel all my cards immediately and whatever Actual pending amount is there, it would be paid. Until then you may block the cards. I am not interested in using mashreq card where there is no security.
This is what you have given me a service for a customer who has been paying on time and using your card for ages.
I know it makes no difference for mashreq to loose a customer.

i am using platinum elite credit card, received this month statement in renewal fee.
i called up phone banking and expressed my desire to close the card and request to waive the renewal fee.
they said will give 50% discount thro points which iam not interested.
i am would like to close my platinum elite card and request to waive the renewal fee as i am not interested to keep this card.
iam having smart saver free for life card, which i like to keep it.

I Kamran Ali using that smart saver card for last 4 years as i am the regular customer and nothing any single payment delay so far even i have done EPP and paying every month AED 1125/- for 18 months Instalment. i got skip EMI last month due to frequent traveling. further i got a call from your collection dept and asking payment and i had informed i will make a payment as soon as i get or max by end of this month. however i got a message for due payment which is AED 2274/- and i had shocked my payment is AED 1123/- and you people are asking me double amount its totaly Haram and unaceptable. Kinldy waived of my late payment charges as this is the first and last time is happened. Kindly get your payment as per EPP schedule which is AED 1123/- and share with me my EPP schedule as per my record its over June-2019 so the 8 payments are pending only

I have registered a complaint of rudeness and annoying customer services of Mashreq Bank today and than Seriously? I received emails of case submitted and case resolved within the difference of seconds without getting any feedback.
So may I have the opportunity of knowing the way of providing such exemplary services to your customers?
While writing this let me briefly write another experience of your bad services from different departments. Last month I received couple of times call from Mashreq helpline number saying we are closing your account but can't explain the reason and withdraw your all balance from account. So I did it to avoid any hassle of my funds to be stuck in account because of any uncertain reason but meanwhile I requested them to explain the reason as I believe it's the only right I have to be educated of my mistake if occurred and till today neither account was closed nor any reason explained.
Long story short, so today I contacted Mashreq again to inquire status of my account whether I can use it or not in future and than being your customer facing again results of your extremely annoying services are attached and explained.
international business payment
We have business banking with Mashreq Bank, past one week we were trying to sent a payment to our foreign supplier, after submitting all the required documents they are still not processing our payment, later asking same document again by email, now we have lost 23000 USD due to non payment to the client and lost the deal, when we went to the branch they are saying to to call customer care department when we call they says everything is ok we will process the payment but they don't, such unprofessional way of working .
This is not a way of serving your business clients .

As committed by your team, I had to receive the welcome kit of Mashreq Neo. I waited till 6.00 PM today only to receivem the kit. I have given up all the other commitments for this. I received sms by afternoon ‘ your welcome kit is on the way' but after that i didn't receive any call from your team.
Being a new member of Mashreq Bank this was not a good experience for me. The commitment made by your team but they didn't inform me when the delivery cancelled or rescheduled. I have no urgency, kindly commit the date and time next time when the delivery is possible as committed.

I have a business account with Mashreq Bank since March 2016. We are a startup and when we opened the account we gave an estimate of what we thought would be our yearly income and revenue, however, it is impossible for anyone to be accurate about the amount as no forecasting can predict exactly your sales, income and the economic environment so far ahead.
Two years on, and our business has surpassed all expectations and has grown dramatically. Around a month back our account was blocked and all our international payments started getting rejected. I contacted our relationship manager, Mr Muhamad Ikram, who couldn't explain the reason why the payments were being blocked. We have overseas employees and were unable to pay them due to this situation.
It turned out that we surpassed our original predictions of income and revenue, and the bank blocked our account as we were flagged out. When I contacted our relationship manager again he said that we needed to explain why we were selling more, how, and to provide explanations for our success. It seemed incredible to me that the norm should be that SME's fail and that you as a business owner should be punished for doing well, and for having a growing business.
The inefficiencies of this bank's relationship managers are such, that when on the phone Mr Muhammad asked what is that our business actually does (our only business activity is listed in the license we provide every year to the bank), and also whether we sold courses door to door, when we are in fact a college with over 2000 students per year.
Our relationship manager was happy to block our account without even checking our transactions, website, activity and being fully unaware that as a free zone company we are liable for audited accounts every year.
I am appalled that after two weeks I am still unable to make international transfers, my account is still blocked, and further to this, the service this bank offers me is poor to say the least. We maintain a 7 digit balance every month and yet, have zero overdraft facilities, not a single corporate credit card and zero perks.
non receipt of clearance letter from mashreqbank

Good Day... My agent from FAB (First Abu Dhabi Bank) submitted the demand draft to Mashreqbank -Airport Road Branch in Abu Dhabi to settle my outstanding liability on October 2, 2018. As per the liability letter issued by Mashreqbank with Liability Letter Ref: CIU_OPS/LI/0764/258029 dated 26/09/2018 (copy attached); the "settlement proceeds received by cheque must allow 2 days for clearance" and on October 4, 2018 I received SMS from Mashreqbank confirming that FAB demand draft has been deposited to my account but to date my agent confirmed that he is yet to get the Clearance Letter from Mashreqbank. Also, when I checked my loan statement on October 7, 2018, it was showing that I have zero outstanding(screenshot attached). I would like to understand how long is your process to issue the clearance letter. Appreciate if you could look into this and expedite the process of the clearance letter to FAB.
current account - digital fulfillment issue (e account application ref no. eccae020357)
I had applied for current account through digital channel on 27th September. My documents were collected on the same day. However, it has been more than 1 week, yet my account is not activated.
Worst thing is, I been following up on customer care number, it does not have any option for new account enquiry / complaint.
I reached out to the digital sales channel person (Mr. Adnan).. He has been extremely helpful, however couldn't help much, as he has dependency on operational / fulfillment team.
This is such a poor experience... State of the art digital technology, but pathetic back end operations.. Can someone please help fix this urgently.. Thanks.
