I had been a member of the site, Match.com for more than 2 years at least. On the 5th of October, i made a payment of a one month subscription and was happily using the site, updating my profiles and pictures. On the 6th of October, I couldn't log in anymore and was advised to contact Customer Care.
Customer Care informed me that I have violated the Terms and Conditions listed on their website and due to the "nature of the violation", they would not communicate with me anymore. All without giving me an explanation and offering a refund. I have since sent emails to follow up to ensure that I get my refund back. Still awaiting their response.
I am outraged as I went through the Terms and Conditions and felt that I have not violated them in anyway. By refusing to provide me an explanation, I am considering that Match.com has terminated my account on an uninformed basis, denying me of my right to paid services. Prior to the termination, I even received emails that my updated profile and pictures were approved. I am especially enraged by their dismissive attitude. I assure you that my profile is perfectly legitimate (no, I didn't solicit in any manner) and honest-t0-boot.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Account terminated after 3 days, I did nothing inappropriate.waiting to see if I get a refund. I asked Match if my account had been hacked and generic response was cannot disclose any information about accounts. We all have a right to know, no due process, match sucks
I was a member of Match for over a year. I called them to inquire about a discount they had promised me. The next day my account was locked and I revived a generic email about terms and conditions. I am an attorney and studied all eighteen of their terms and conditions. I am going to subpoena them for more information but as of today they gave not provided a physical mailing address. I’ll get it from their corporate records.
I’m thinking that a class action suit with several of us will be appropriate. Let me know what you think.

I was on match last week for 48 hours and my account was terminated and I was eMailed the terms and conditions link, along with the privacy link. I called 4 times attempting to find out what I did and they won’t discuss it with me. It’s my account and I can’t even have the info!
I’m an attorney and I was wrongfully terminated from match too today. I want to file a class action lawsuit. Does anyone here want to join? It’ll teach them a lesson. I’ll subpoena all their records.
I am with you the same thing happened to me today it seems like I was convicted of an offense without any trial based upon what one person might have found offensive. I never use foul language or make any sexual comments. Seems really unfair.
I was wrongfully terminated by Match.com today. I didn't violate any Terms of Service or Privacy Terms. I am interested in joining a class action lawsuit against Match.com Jennifer
It isn't just men or because women are getting angry and reporting. I'm a woman and it happened to me. I hadn't talked to anyone to have upset them (unless the couple that was looking for a third got mad I didn't like them back). I did receive one email that said something about needing to be over 18 to use match. I am. Received nothing but the same generic bull and no mention of age mistakes when I inquired. No refund and no reactivated account. Nothing about my experience with match was positive and I had already stopped really using it. This was just icing on the cake on bad.
I was also wrongfully terminated. I have sent numerous emails for them to rectify the situation customer service claimed to escalate the situation. No refund or apology has been formally sent to me. I am interested in taking legal action
I would like to join class action lawsuit. Please give me any information needed to jump in.
Thank You,
Kalana Jackson
Similar situation here. Somebody wanted me to pay for their only fans. I said no and she reported me as not single when I most certainly am.
I will join right now this is ridiculous.
I would. Dr. Daniel S. Preston
Count me in. They have terminated me from multiple sites, going back to an “original” (but non-existent) violation of Match.com’s Terms of Use many years ago. They would/will not tell me what that violation was, and now will not communicate with me, other than to tell me they can’t communicate with me.
How to join you
I was on match for a couple months. Everything seemed okay until I met this guy who felt entitled and felt he owned me because we messaged each other a couple times. He seemed weird so I blocked him from match. Then he sent me several messages with his frustration of what happened to us. Which we never had anything together just conversation. Then he starts to accuse me of meeting someone else ect. I immediately made it clear to him that I have no responsibility to explain anything to him and he should go on and have a nice evening. Well that following day I was blocked from my account with no explanation.
There was a nice guy who left his number for me to call him and who knows he could have been the one but I will never know due to matches unethical services . If there is a class action lawsuit I will greatly join in .
Female here. I have not been on any dating apps for 4 months, in fact deleted all my profiles and accounts. Received an email today that my account had been terminated due to Terms of Use. I have read these thoroughly and have not ever violated any. I tried reaching out to the company and keep receiving the same generic email in response. Very frustrating. Match has a monopoly on the dating apps. What is our recourse? I would also be interested in joining a lawsuit if one began. Thanks!
I purchased a 1 month subscription last Friday, August 5th, 2022. I had just began setting up my profile when I was directed to verify my phone number. Match said that my number could not be verified and sent me to the Home Screen to enter my email. Upon entering my email and password I got the message, “There is a problem with your account, please contact our customer service.” I did just that yesterday, August 8, 2022 and was told I would receive an email within 72 hours with a fix for this situation. Instead of receiving a fix, I received a notice stating my account has been terminated for terms of policy violation. I have read all the terms over twice now, and I have not violated anything. I wasn’t even done with my profile for god sakes. I would 100% be interested in a lawsuit. Looks like they are stealing money from their members and not batting an eye about it. I’m furious, just threw away $40 for not even having an hour with the “premium” features.
Contact me for mass arbitration proceeding against Match Group. I am filing soon.

Apparently things haven't changed much. I was terminated today, about 10 days after paying for the service. They would not explain anything except that I violated their terms. Of the 2 people I started communicating with, one was very strange acting on a phone call we finally had. and I'm guessing this person was responsible for the termination. I explained the situation to the match people and they won't even discuss it.
Prior to the phone call with this person, I sent her my full name and told her she can Google me for some comfort that I am who I say I am. The phone call started out by her saying my cell number wasn't registered in my name. I've had this number for decades. After some uncomfortable discussion about my number. she finally sort of let it go and we talked for about 40 minutes - where she did most of the talking. Noticeable was her comments about how she can tell who's fake on match and she has reported several. At the end of the conversation I was uncomfortable about a lot of how she interacted with me and although I wasn't sure we should continue any communications and suggested we sleep on it. She acted sad and I said, ok, let's give it another go (maybe she was just having a bad day). She actually messaged me on the app after the call saying how she enjoyed it.
2 days later I can't log into my account.
Note that I did google my cell number and all the websites used for reverse lookup did come up with someone else. Many years ago I switched my number from AT&T to Verizon and the websites list it as AT&T so there's obviously a disconnect. Maybe Verizon does a better job of protecting your privacy?
Still, I'm out the money I just paid for 3 months of service - not to mention that the other person I had been messaging with seemed like a better fit. Of course I've not disappeared on her.
Apparently the terms of service say they can terminate you at any time and don't need to explain anything. You cannot defend yourself You're just guilty if someone says you are. I'm up there (75) and thought about Outtime but Match owns them too. I'm trying to get past this, but it's going to take a while.
I’m here because that just happened to me. As soon as became a premium member my account got blocked. I email customer service for two weeks and no response, until one morning I received an email saying my account was terminated because due to a violation; “soliciting”. They’re low key a f scam.
The same unwarranted termination of account happened to me, with no explanation other than "violation of terms and conditions." I am currently filing formal Arbitration against Match.com. If anyone is still active here and wants to join the notice of action, please respond and I will follow up to initiate a mass Arbitration.
My account is terminated for no reason. I wrote to customer service but no response. They charged me and no service but no refund. It is so wrong.
My account was terminated with no reason. My login is blocked and I cannot even delete my profile , nor cancel my auto-renewed subscription. I want to join the complaints group against Match.com
