I called Hotline pre-paid Maxis customer care line on 11th January 2024 at 1130am UK time, which is 730pm Malaysian time.
A person answered my call and I stated my issue which is my number is blocked and I need to revive it back so that I can get my TAC number from my bank in Malaysia.
I informed him that I had the similar issue few months back and it was handled professionally by the post paid maxis line as previously I was with maxis post paid.
I even mentioned I receive a message from HOTLINK in sms on 18th Dec 2023 and I read what was written in that SMS. But he refused to hear it and ignore it.
I switched to hotlink because I left to UK. And my number is sub-line of my Husband's.
from the time I mentioned my issue, the person was only saying the following statements:
1. I cannot help you because your number has expired more than 10 days (repeated multiple time every time I ask for solution)
"I memang tak boleh nak tolong. tak boleh buat apa dah"
2. You must remember the previous person name who help you or else I cannot help you (in a rude and lackadaisical manner)
3. Refused to give his name "Tak boleh bagi Nama...ok la.. Nama I Ali" (Which I question if he is giving me a fake name and he fought back its not a fake name)
4. I asked to speak to anyone else - "siapa you nak cakap? takde siapa pun..."
5. I asked to speak to his manager - "Manager dah takde...dah balik dah.. take siapa.."
6. I asked for solution - "go back to original telco DiGi to ask them..your number already expired more than 10 days and you number been reverted to DiGI on 19 November 2023"
7. I read the Hotlink SMS on 18th Dec 2023 to him (he said "bacalah..")
It said that my number will be ended if I dont top up and the Balance of RM9.73 will be terminated.
Ha said "I tak tau mana you dapat SMS tu.. memang number you takde kat Hotlink"
I chose an English option and I get a very rude and unpolished speaking in Malay in an utterly rude manner... I felt like I was in a pasar malam trying haggle price with him.
very very rude.. unbelievable that Hotline call centre staff will be this badly behaved.
I called back Maxis postpaid and that guy was so polite, kind and helpful.
My solution to this is I want my number to re-activated [protected]) and and apology letter from hotlink for having such horrible customer service and that guy "Ali" to be removed and not serve any phone calls from customers.
Bear in mind that I am calling your Hotline by using my Roaming which is not cheap and I spent 13 minutes with a rude and unhelpful person.
I want that refund for the money spent talking to a useless outcome.
Please kindly check your recordings according to the time I have given as your message says that the call is recorded for training purposes...
I doubt that guy is trained at all.
