I had an incredibly negative experience with Mazda of Orland Park
I had an incredibly negative experience with Mazda of Orland Park. In March , my father and I went to buy a CX5 and the dealership owner provided such a terrible experience that I felt compelled to write a detailed review about it. Fast forward to November, my father and I decided to give the dealership another chance. We had new circumstances that made us confident we could quickly and smoothly get the vehicle I wanted. The process with the finance manager went fairly well and we were able to complete the necessary paperwork efficiently. However, just as I was about to drive off the lot with my new car, the finance manager came in with a printout of my previous review. She asked if I remembered writing it, questioned why I would return if I had a bad experience, and wanted to know if I would change my review. I was confused because all the paperwork was already done and now I was being scolded about a review from the past. The finance manager, who happened to be the only woman in the office, asked me to apologize and say that I wouldn't write another review. The manager kept insisting that they don't sell cars to unhappy people. I tried to explain that my experience was different this time and there was nothing negative to write about. Frustrated, the manager called another manager named ***. This person claimed to be the owner of the dealership and said he took the review personally because he has children. He acknowledged why I wrote the review but disagreed with my decision to do so. After going back and forth for 30 minutes, the manager finally said he wanted me to promise not to write another review and suggested we leave on good terms. As a consumer, I was shocked at this point. I felt embarrassed and upset because it seemed like I was begging for a vehicle that I had already purchased outright. *** wanted to shake my hand, but I politely declined, explaining that my experience had been ruined once again. Then he said, "Forget it, you can't have the car. You're not happy." My father and I were completely stunned at this point. The purchase was already completed. The finance manager had even had me download the Mazda app, my plates were on the desk, and I had the key in my hand. I'm just grateful that I didn't allow them to run my credit again because I had come in with my own pre-approval. This was the most embarrassing and horrible car shopping experience I've ever had. As a consumer, if someone gives your establishment another chance after a bad experience, you should thank them and strive to improve their experience. This dealership lacks class, respect, and based on their reviews on ***, it seems like denying service to customers who speak out about a bad experience is their new approach, despite claiming to treat customers like family.

I brought my car to Mazda on Friday, January 21st for some routine maintenance
I brought my car to Mazda on Friday, January 21st for some routine maintenance. After the work was completed, they provided me with a detailed report on the work done, and my battery was at 100 percent. However, on March 18th, my car suddenly stopped working. Mazda informed me that the battery wasn't dead but recommended replacing it, so I agreed. Unfortunately, just two weeks later on April 4th, my car broke down again. I had to pay $150 for a tow fee, and Mazda discovered that the issue was due to a car key battery being out. They replaced it and assured me that my starting issues were resolved.
Despite their assurance, I continued to experience difficulties starting the car in June. It shut down again, even with a brand new battery still under warranty. I had to pay another fee, and Mazda claimed that the battery was dead because I had left the air conditioner on, which I knew wasn't true. Two weeks later, the battery failed again. This time, the mechanic admitted over the phone that there was a circuit issue causing the car to shut down, and it was never the battery's fault. At this point, I had lost all trust in the service center and wanted to take my car elsewhere for servicing.
However, when I expressed my intention to go elsewhere, Mazda informed me that I would have to pay a fee for a diagnosis. I found this unfair since I had already had my car serviced multiple times by the dealership for the same problem. I had kept all my receipts and records of phone conversations with Mazda. Despite this, they are now holding my car against my will and charging me a $50 service fee per day. To make matters worse, they have cut off all communication with me for weeks.
