Do NOT waste your time shopping for any vehicle through McCluskey Chevrolet. They are awful at responding back to your inquiry and even with several different follow up attempts through several methods. It's insane, normally the dealership would be the one contacting you after you show interest in purchasing a vehicle but sadly McCluskey doesn't seem to be that way.
I purchased from them back in August 2020 and due to living a great deal away had to do everything online and have the vehicle delivered to me, upon delivery the vehicle was driven to me when that wasn't discussed. I was under the impression it would be arriving on a flat bed but no, so after getting past that and being annoyed that unnecessary mileage was added, the vehicle then was missing a key(that was promised in my contract-even though it was a used vehockey) and I had to go through tooth and nail to get a second key sent to me-no charge as well as follow up multiple times to get my plates back(I traded in a vehicle as well and they had it to drive it back to dealership, which I also wasn't aware of) Fast forward three years later and I attempt to purchase from again, thinking it's been some time and maybe they've improved. Guess what? That answer is nope, they haven't. Same routine of not following up but being told through messages as well as calling in that someone would and for me, "Not to worry!" I'm trying to purchase a vehicle and not the other way around so I'm not worried.
This dealership is just extremely unprofessional and I guess I should take this as a blessing in disguise and shop elsewhere. Also the Sales Rep Glen Schuchart is awful. DO NOT DEAL WITH HIM. He can't respond back to your inquiries what so ever. So in other words, Thanks McCluskey for not making a sale and losing a repeat customer. Please adjust how you treat your repeat and potential customers going forward.

I have never in my life had to deal with a company so DISHONEST!
I have never in my life had to deal with a company so DISHONEST! I honestly wish I would have read the reviews on here before ever dealing with them. It's like we're all singing the same song with nothing being done about it. Glen S is a con man and it seems the con company is standing behind him. Don't ever do business with these people! Ever! This place should be closed down the way they are deceiving people.

2017 Chevrolet Impala Premier
On February 8, 2023 I purchased a vehicle from McCluskey payment in full for the amount of $17,666.25. After signing, the salesman explained they would need to perform work on my transmission and I was required to obtain a sixth month insurance policy for the amount of $500. for a one day loaner car. On Feb 9th they delivered my vehicle. On Feb 12th I...

The company I financed my car through is trying to repossess my car after sending me a letter stating not to make my next car payment because they no longer held an account for me. I tried to contact multiple people via phone and email with Mccluskey to resolve the issue. I never received a call back nor a email. After months of trying with no resolution I received a call from the original salesman Glenn stating that my contract was canceled because of credit. He asked that I give him 1200 more dollars as a down payment which I did not have and would not have given if I did considering I had been driving the car for over 8 months at that point. I have been consistently lied to and ignored. I have done my part and tried to work with this company to avoid conflict to no avail. I have signed two contracts and refused to sign a third. As a result Glen and other employees of Mccluskey have been calling me and all of my references offering compensation to locate the vehicle. I did nothing wrong and don't think that I should lose out on the down payment, payments made or multiple repairs I have made to the vehicle. Also, the car that they are trying to locate is NOT the car that I am currently driving. As I stated I have signed two contracts, and the car they are looking for is from the first contract and is supposed to be null and voided as of January . There is way more that has happened in the year I have dealt with this company that can be backed up with proof.

In February 2022, I purchased a ***. Before they shipped they delayed the shipment of the car because I was told that the car was to be taken to a Mazda dealership to be inspected and that I was to be given NEW all-weather tires. As part of the deal, I agreed to a bumper-to-bumper policy, which required me to keep regular service maintenance of the car. When I brought the car for its first maintenance at the local Mazda dealership, I was informed that the rear struts were bad and that all four tires were at 5/62 (bald) and needed to be replaced. NONE of the promised work by McCluskey had been done, and I was being forced to absorb $2,000 after having purchased the car after not even having owned the car for three months. When I tried to call and resolve the matter, I was passed around and ignored until finally Andrew called and told me that the struts would be covered under the contract. When I called the service number to obtain authorization for the repair, I was informed that the struts were NOT covered under the contract. I hereby request that the dealership take ownership take ownership for their bait and switch and pay for the cost of the repair and compensate me for the cost that I incurred to replace the tires.
I Was contacted by Linda at McCluskey Coleraine Oh
I Was contacted by Linda at McCluskey Coleraine Oh. She had a good car for me it was what I was looking for. A 2018 Malibu with 22,000 miles and clean Carfax with warranty's till 30,000 miles. It had one recall that needed to be done so 6 days after picking up the Malibu. I took it to McCluskey auto mall. There i was told by there mechanic the car had been in a bad car accident and fixed under the table so it would not go on its carfax. I then reached out to Linda at the Cloeraine store, Linda who I had gotten car from and explained. That the McCluskey auto shop had found the damage to the car. It also need a new radiator and hoses and the transmission was leaking plus most the parts in the front end of the car was not Chevrolet parts. She informed me that they where lying to me and that was not the case. I told her, I no longer felt comfortable buying this car in witch she told me there was nothing that could be done.At this point I had only had the car for 6 days. A couple days later I was on the phone with bank to get my payments set up. They informed me that if i had not made me first payment I can return the car at that point I told the bank that is what i wanted to do. With in the hour the dealership became very pushy and Threatening saying they was going to keep my deposit in witch I still have not gotten back! When I dropped the car off the next day I told the GM that had added the findings to the carfax. He told me that is fine they was just going to sell the car back to the auction where they bought it from.

I went to register my vehicle here in Texas a couple of days ago. McCluskey also sent me a check to pay the taxes on the vehicle. For whatever damn reason they titled the vehicle in Ohio even though I'm not an Ohio resident! And now if I was to pay the vehicle off, I have to go in and file for a Texas title, which the registrar thought was dumb as well... To top it all off I had to come out of pocket 191.50 for the remainder of the taxes because the check that was issued wasn't enough! This whole buying experience has been a mess literally! Then I tell them I'm on my way to work, I'm a fed officer and can't have my phone inside so I won't be able to talk. I come out to my car after work and I have like 5 damn calls from Roger and Todd about my phone call to titling...
I purchased a 2019 Chevrolet Equinox from this dealership, and it was delivered to my residence on 03/11/2022. When it was delivered the driver only had one set of keys (FOB) and when I asked about the other set, he said to call the dealership and they would be able to send the second set to me. I have made numerous attempts to reach out to the credit manager Glenn A for assistance and it is now to the point that he will not return my call. I have called him at least 4 times regarding this issue and having to leave a VM with only one returned phone call from him and him stating that he would get with the salesman who sold me the car. I have not heard anything. I recently got on the chat box they have and was told by the representative that she was going to get with the parts department and still nothing, this has been approximately 10 days since the chat. The salesman that sold me the vehicle is not available due to his wife having covid and being hospitalized. It is not like I can go to the hardware store and have a key made, this is FOB with push button start. All I want is my second set of keys (FOB). I've never purchased a vehicle and only gotten one set of keys. By them ignoring me and not getting back to me with an answer is very frustrating and speaks volume about the customer service form this dealership.
ON JUNE 2, 2022 MYSELF AND MY SISTER PURCHASED OUR SECOND VEHICLE *** FROM MCCLUSKEY CHEVROLET IN MASON OHIO, AND IT DIDNT COME WITH A SECOND KEY FOB, A MANUAL OR FLOOR MATS AND BACK CARGO TRUNK MAT. I HAVE CALLED THE BUSINESS OFFICE MONDAY JUNE 6 AND I CALLED AND LEFT A MESAAGE FOR KAREN S ON TUESDAY JUNE 7, NO RETURN CALL FROM NEITHER PERSON. I HAVE PRICED THE COST FOR A SECOND KEY FOB $450 PLUS PROGRAMING, OWNERS MANUAL $60-$80, FLOOR MATS $210 AND CARGO TRUNK MAT $299. I DONT UNDERSTAND HOW MCCLUSKEY EXPECTS US TO PAY ANYTHING ADDITIONAL, THAT IS SUPPOSED TO BE PROVIDED WITH THE VEHICLE. SO MY RESOLUTION IS THERE IS A *** (SEE ATTACHED PHOTOS) THAT IS THEY SAME PRICE , AND HAS THE FLOOR MATS, CARGO MAT,2ND KEY FOB, AND MANUAL, AND I WANT THAT VEHICLE TRADED OUT, OR ADJUST THE PRICE OF MY VEHICLE MINUS THE CHARGES OF THE ITEMS I DO NOT HAVE IN MY VEHICLE

Before I purchased a car from this dealership the dealership and all personnel were extremely nice, pleasant and eager to help
Before I purchased a car from this dealership the dealership and all personnel were extremely nice, pleasant and eager to help. Not only did I have to clean the car because it smelled of cigarette smoke from the delivery driver, but during a text exchange with the sales individual, he indicated that the car only came with one key but told me they would pay for another key for me. I contacted several dealerships in the area and asked the cheapest dealership if they could send a quote or an invoice to the sales person so he could get it taken care of for me. He said his manager approved the purchase of the key and sent me a signed invoice indicating such. This text exchange for confirmation of the key purchase was done on Tuesday September 8th. On Thursday September 17th, the salesperson reached out to me indicating that they tried to purchase a key for me but they were unable to with that dealership but that they would try again the same day. I told him if it was a continued issue, I would contact another dealership for solvency and he (the salesperson) said that if it didn't work with the original quote or dealership that we would try another one. On Tuesday September 22nd I reached out to the salesperson and I have not heard a response. I followed up again with the salesperson on Thursday September 24th, again no response. I called the dealership on Friday September 25th and left the General Manager Todd a voicemail, no response. On Wednesday September 30th, I submitted a form to them on their website indicating multiple times I have contacted them and the issue and again no response. On Friday, October 9th, I again called the dealership and unable to speak to Todd the General Manager, I left yet another voicemail. Today is October 12th and the dealership and all personnel have ignored me.

I just bought a car a few weeks ago. After getting thru the issue of signing papers for one vehicle then ending up having to get another one, I finally received a car that I picked out. Upon arrival I noticed the vehicle had a flashing light on the dash. I took a picture of it and sent it to the sales guy the next day. He had me take it in to get it checked out because the stereo wasn't allowing me to connect my cell phone as it stated "car is in motion and this service cannot be completed until car is stopped." The honda dealer verifies it was a transmission switch issue, contacts the dealership, and the pay for it in the long run. My biggest issue the fact that the bumper looks like it has been hit and is two different colors! I also took pics that night of this as well but I had to get passed the fact that I was having tranny issues day one! So now if I want this fixed I have to pay to make it happen and get paintless dent repair done right above the bumper, costing me $680. I think *** knew if I knew about this type of cosmetic damage, I would've been asking for a different car so he did typical sales person crap and let it ride! I get that this car is used but have the common decency to let me know. Got me paying $27k for a noticeably damage vehicle! I'd like an exchange or a repair! Attached you find pictures!
In July I thought I purchased a ***. The vehicle was advertised as a ***. I have the proof. I recently learned the vehicle is actually a base model. This is an 8-10 thousand dollar difference in vehicle pricing when trading in the vehicle ( I have that proof as well). I have called and left messages for the appropriate people. No return call. My husband has also called and no return phone calls. I wanted to give them the opportunity to make it right but no luck so far.
Transaction date was 9/22
Transaction date was 9/22. Traded in my old *** sportier black with $500 for deposit. McCluskey Chevrolet/Online.cars was to provide a *** sportier to help build my credit up from filing bankruptcy. The nature of this dispute is that I have been threatened three times now they were coming to pick up the *** due to me being out from Covid and unable to give them another 40 hour paycheck after they with Drew my paperwork from the bank. Also the nature of this dispute is that I have been threatened by their employee Tony F in the threats of returning my vehicle without my $500 deposit due to me refusing their ***. Due to me being threaded by him to come and get this vehicle, I went ahead and requested for my vehicle be returned along with my deposit due to me having another dealership that gave me a better offer with no down payment. This employer because very aggressive towards me and told me that he wants playing any games with when they are the best dealer to be with. I then spoken to his supervisor about this matter and was told to just deal with him only and when I gotten my 40 hour check to give him a call due to him taking over my files and that he would be speaking with Mr. F about his actions. As of Monday November 22 I received a threatening text message from Tony F stating the statement below. I have all documents showing the transaction has been approved and now I am unable to get my plates for this vehicle due to the dealership withdrawal the paperwork from the bank. As of 11/06 this vehicle has been undrivable due to things not being sent into my license branch for me to get plates for this vehicle. I am will to provide even more information if there is more needed during the time of review. Thank you for your time.

I went into McClusky Chevrolet with a car buy back letter I received . I went to the dealership yesterday and the offer letter doesn't expire until 1/31/2022. The letter states no strings attached, they will pay off any liens you have on the car and cut you an additional $1000 check. We get there after calling and talking to a *** who said he was a sales manager and confirmed the deal was legitimate with no strings attached. They preceeded to attach strings to the deal. Said they need to appraise the vehicle. We dealt with a salesman named ***. They appraised the vehicle at $13,800 then proceeded to tell me that I owed $19800 on my loan and that the buy back is based on the appraised value. ...again the letter stated no strings attached...false advertisement since there were strings attached. We drive 1 1/2 hours to get to this appointment after we were told my *** a sales manager there were no strings attached. I get home and look up my payoff to my car and it's on $15,848. They tried to add almost $4000 to my payoff. The resolution I'm looking for is to have the letter I was sent with" no strings attached" to be honored even if it expires after this Complaintsboard.com complaint. I'm sure with the correct payoff and with such a big dealership they can work with a $2000 short appraised value from my payoff, buy the car back, payoff my loan in full and cut me a check for the $1000 that's was promised
I went to McCluskey to turn in my lease
I went to McCluskey to turn in my lease. I asked to buy out the lease, salesperson said it would be more to my advantage to buy a new car. I asked for the newer version of the leased car, salesperson stated they didn't have any and couldn't guarantee getting one. He then led me to a Chevy Malibu. I purchased the vehicle on March 13th. The dealer had the car on March 17th to tint the windows. On March 20th, I was 5.5 hours from home when the car broke down on me about 11:30 pm. This was day 6 after purchase. The car was towed to *** Chevrolet in ***. Onstar would not transport me back to Ohio and someone drove 5.5 hours one way to pick me up and take me home. On March 22, *** contacted me and told me they would figure out what the malfunction was and get back with me. Also on March 22, I contacted Zack H at McCuskey to report the problem. He told me it was too late to bring the car back and I needed to wait to see what the problem was. He also would not contact *** to send me my personal belongings out of the car. From that day forward, I have contacted several people at McCluskey, who would not do anything to fix this situation. I then contacted GM and spoke with someone who assigned me a case number and liasiaon to rectify the problem. It is now, April 1st, the car is still in ***, parts on back order, and I have been told by their service department the car had a bad transmission. I have continued to make phone calls and send emails for a resolution and the situation continues to be ongoing. I offered to buy my previous car (turned in on lease) back. It is unacceptable to take this car back after driving the car 6 days and the transmission going bad. I have informed them that it is also unacceptable to give me another Malibu as I do not feel safe in the vehicle and it is not a dependable vehicle.

My parked 2018 *** was hit on 8/15
My parked 2018 *** was hit on 8/15. I was directed by the insurance company to take it to McClusky collision center for repair. The shop called me after a few days saying the car was ready for pick up. The car was in the repair bay when I picked it up so I didn't notice that the bumper and both side panels did not match the rest of the car. I was given a 2nd appointment to bring the car back and after a few days was called and told to pick it up again. Once I got the car home, I noticed that the bumper still did not match. It looked exactly the same. I was told to bring the car in for a 3rd time and after a few days was contacted and told to pick the car up again. This time the bumper did match but I noticed the car had a high gloss on it. I asked about it and was told that they washed the car for me but they actually put something on it that made it shiny. I noticed while driving home that there was overwhelming fumes in the car so I parked it for a few days to air it out. Once I started driving the car again I noticed cloudy, dry streaks all over the car. I took the car back a 4th time to show them and was told that they just needed to buff them out. When I picked the car up the 4th time I asked for paperwork showing what work was done on each visit. Chad told me that he couldn't do that so I took what paperwork he gave me which just had general repair information on it and left. Six weeks later the same cloudy streaks reappeared all over the vehicle so I called them again. I asked Chad to please just paint the car, he responded that they can't unless I pay for it. The person who hit me had insurance that paid McClusky more than $2,200 to correctly repair my car. I was told to bring my car in so they can look at it for a 5th time but I have very little faith that McClusky will fix my car correctly. The insurance company is not returning my calls so I'm stuck with a 2 year old car with streaks all over it.

Scheduled an appointment on JAN 14th 2022 to go look at a specific car the dealer had on their sight and requested I be called before my appointment to verify it was available. Never did receive a call so I called them as I didn't want to go without knowing if vehicle was available and they said the car was "recently" sold but they had plenty of other vehicles to show me. A week or two later while still looking for a car the Mccluskey Ad popped up again so I inquired again thinking maybe the sale the spoke of fell thru. To my surprise I got the exact same response that the car was "recently sold but they had plenty of cars to show me. After feeling like the old Bait and Switch tatic was being used I looked back at the Ad and the Carfax report that was attached to the Ad (which I attached for reference) and appears the dealer has had this Car for sale since May so I doubt it was "recently" sold as they say. Then today I get a text from Mccluskey saying I was interested in getting text from them which at this point has been about three weeks since my Initial inquiry into the car and I replied back to the person the seem to be a Bait and Switch Dealer and I seriously doubt that they had "recently" sold the car I orginally inquired about as it was still showing on their website this long after my initial inquiry. The dealer needs to quit misleading people advertising a vehicle they don't have just to lure people in to try and sell them something else. I would have thought being an actual Chevy dealership they would be more reputable and not try and use the old bait and switch tactic. Right before writing this complaint I checked the dealers site and the vehicle is still Listed(copy attached). The dealer needs to get any vehicle on their site deleted once sold. Again from the Carfax report that states they listed that vehicle for sale in May there is no doubt in my mind the dealer is trying to bait people into the dealership.

Vehicle purchase and registration issues with McCluskey Chevrolet
On 9/27, I acquired a car from McCluskey Chevrolet, assisted by Tony F. Post-delivery, I was promised the registration paperwork and a check for the registration fees applicable to my state of residence. As of 11/11, my temporary tag expired. Contacting the dealership, Destiny W, a title clerk, informed me they awaited the title from the auction. She mentioned the dealership's policy of issuing only one temporary tag and advised visiting my local tax office for a potential extension. The tax office, however, declined any assistance without the title, leaving the car's existence unacknowledged. Further attempts to reach the dealership, Tony, and the management were fruitless. My finance company intervened, resulting in an offer from the dealership's manager for a dealer tag or a rental car until the title issue is resolved. Despite these communications, I remain unable to legally drive my car, which complicates my commute to work.

Jan 21 my car overheated and I found cross contamination of oil and coolant
Jan 21 my car overheated and I found cross contamination of oil and coolant. I immediately parked the car and had it towed to McCluskey. After 11 days in the shop it was diagnosed as a water pump, coolant reservoir, oil cooler and hoses and clamps totaling $2100. I was anticipating it being a head problem and having to get a whole new car but when they said it wasn't, so this seemed like the better option. A get my car back on Feb 1 with oil and grease hand prints on the dash and door, the oil sticker not replaced, the oil life not reset and the tires not checked or rotated. 3 weeks later on Feb 26th I notice a huge oil leak so I pop the hood and once again I have cross contamination of oil and coolant. I call to get it in thinking they did not connect something properly and the soonest they could get me in was Mar 7th with a loaner. I take it in and they take it back and I do the paperwork and head over to get the loaner only to be told they wouldnt give me one due to insurance reasons that were not disclosed to me. I was told I could get reimbursed for up to 3 days but enterprise had already closed so I was stranded. I was able to get a ride but was late for work the next morning getting my rental. Come to find out the problem was misdiagnosed and in the inspection video the tech admits what he thought was the oil cooler leaking was wrong and it was the head gasket. Lifetime powertrain will not cover it and what was a $550 problem has turned into a $4,070 problem. Had this been correctly diagnosed I would have never invested anything into a car that has 232k miles on it. I am asking for good customer service in making it right and replacing the engine with a used engine with 91k miles on it and the flush, fluids, and new hoses for $2,070.64. This is still way more than I would have paid the first time but I have been forced into this position. I have now been out of a car a total of 29 days and counting and the headache and stress this has caused is unacceptable.

Visited McCluskey Chevrolet to discuss trading in our 2019 car for a 2020 model
On Saturday, May 15th, I visited McCluskey Chevrolet to talk about trading in our 2019 vehicle for a 2020 model. The salesman allowed a home test drive. The next day, my husband and I went to sign the credit release. After waiting an hour, the salesman mentioned 'approvals' and a 'system issue.' There was no further communication. I used the vehicle for work and later received a call suggesting a different car, which I declined and returned the initial one. From Sunday to Tuesday, my credit alerts surged with multiple inquiries from the same bank. My credit report showed 15 hits for a vehicle purchase that was supposedly too costly, which wasn't the case based on my income. It felt like a deceptive tactic, seeking approval for a car they knew I wouldn't get, hoping I'd settle for another. They knew by Sunday I wouldn't be approved for the initial car but continued to push for an alternative. My credit score dropped 14 points overnight due to their actions. Upon calling the finance department, I was told we'd need to trade in two vehicles for a $29,000 loan, which was unnecessary. My husband, the sole owner of the initial car, could afford the new vehicle alone. I suspect they included me in the application to keep options open for another sale, as my husband is interested in a new truck. A loan with only my husband would affect his chances for the truck. The dealership aimed to maximize sales by keeping me in the loop. The only bank agreeing to the loan with me included was due to my existing loans. My husband would have easily secured approval alone. I'm seeking to remove the credit inquiries and have the vehicle solely in my husband's name, trading in the car that's already his. The varying responses from the dealership have eroded my trust.

I bought a 2012 car online from a dealership
I bought a 2012 car online from a dealership. The site was Cars.com, associated with McCluskey Chevrolet. It took five days for the loan approval. I paid $4,000 cash down for my vehicle. They delivered it on May 22nd. I signed all the paperwork, thinking all was well, and planned to make my payment on May 6th as scheduled. After a client interview, I was assured everything was fine. However, 16 days later, I received a call from Robin A, informing me that the underwriting failed and I had to return the vehicle. I pleaded for help with new financing. Despite initial resistance, she found a solution. She later informed me that her manager, Greg, had secured a new loan for a different truck, and I had to return the one I had. I still have the vehicle I signed for. Robin insists on its return. I reached out to the loan company, and they said it was the dealership that ended the deal. They failed to notify me within the required 10 days about the financing issue. Initially, I provided a handwritten pay stub, which was rejected. A printed QuickBooks stub was also submitted. Due to issues with employee pay stubs, my employer introduced a new payroll system. I sent the updated stub to Robin, who then accused me of submitting fake pay stubs. I'm a hardworking, law-abiding single parent raising two boys. The dealership's actions threaten my ability to work and provide for my children. Robin has even threatened police involvement, which is not applicable in this civil matter. The stress is overwhelming. I have documented our communications, including her threats. I've never been treated so poorly and am willing to go public with this. Losing my vehicle means losing my job and the ability to support my family. I've done nothing wrong and have been cooperative. I don't understand why the dealership is acting this way, especially during a pandemic when I've managed to save $4,000. My mother recently died of cancer, and now I face the risk of losing my vehicle due to the dealership's actions. They terminated the underwriting, which I have recorded. They claim to have found another loan, only to switch it to a different truck the next day. I need this resolved to have peace of mind. I just want to make my payments and provide for my children. The law requires notification within 10 days for financing issues, which they failed to do. The contract states they have 30 days to secure underwriting, or either party can cancel the deal. The loan company was ready to finance, but the dealership canceled. I need immediate help.

On June 19, I purchased a vehicle and was financed through a lender
On June 19, I purchased a vehicle and was financed through a lender. My first contact was with Tyler, a sales representative who was rude and unprofessional, so I requested to speak with someone else. My call was transferred to Todd P, the Sales Manager, and our conversation and purchase deal went well. The vehicle was delivered to me on June 20, by Michelle, the driver, who was excellent. However, I had to call the dealership every day until July 15, to inquire about the paperwork needed for vehicle registration and a new tag. I only communicated with Todd P through messages on his work voicemail, cell phone, and texts, which he seldom returned. When he did, he assured me the paperwork would be sent as soon as possible, which did not happen. On June 22, I contacted my insurance agency to insure the vehicle and made the first payment. Despite reaching out to the dealership repeatedly, I was always transferred to various voicemails, including Todd P's, the Finance Manager's, and Todd's manager's, with no calls returned. Frustrated, I contacted my finance company and learned they had sent the payment for the vehicle on June 29. The lack of communication continued, and on July 3, I texted Todd asking why I hadn't heard from his finance department. He didn't respond until July 8, with a question about the spelling of my name for the title work. I confirmed the spelling and assumed he was handling the situation. On July 9, I texted him again after learning from my insurance agent that the DMV of Tallahassee had advised that the vehicle wasn't registered to me. On July 13, I contacted an attorney and was advised to file a complaint with Complaintsboard.com and to inform the owner, Keith McCluskey, of the unprofessional conduct. The next day, I called Complaintsboard.com and was guided through filing a complaint. I also left a message for Todd's manager and texted Todd about my complaint and the letter to McCluskey. Todd then texted back, claiming he had sent the paperwork over a week ago and resent it the previous night, even sending a picture of the envelope. However, the paperwork was not what I needed to register the car. I was told by the DMV that the car wasn't registered in my name and that the temporary tag should have been valid for 90 days, not expiring on August 4. Todd apologized for the misinformation about the 90-day temp tag, stating that the process usually takes a few weeks but is within the 45 days of a temporary tag. Despite this, I continued with my complaint and had my attorney contact them because the owner needed to know about the poor customer service. On July 15, I contacted the DMV to inquire about the cost of vehicle registration and was told it would be between $450-$600. Todd said the dealership would only send a check for $270.00 because they are in Ohio, which did not cover the full amount. I called the lender to question why the full registration cost wasn't included in the financing, and they agreed to reach out to the dealer. I feel it's unfair to pay out of pocket for registration and tags, and I consider this poor business practice by McCluskey Chevrolet. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone, and I believe they should cover the full cost of registration and tags for the vehicle.

Tim, today is Jan 30, 2022
Tim, today is Jan 30, 2022. This is ***. I took my truck in for an oil change yesterday and when the guy brought it back he asked what was wrong with my transmission. I have stated this to mcCluskey numerous times about the extreme whine, shifting very hard, and my truck feeling like it is in a low gear. I'm averaging 14 miles per gallon in that truck. Stickers states 16 to 22 and Tony ( Salemans) asssured me 22 and a little higher. A few times the Mechanics stated they couldn't replicate it. It does it 98 percent of the time. It's horrible. Karen, the service tech told me that she will not put my complaints down about the Transmission anymore as I always state it needs to be looked at. Juan, the gentleman who brought.my truck back yesterday was extremely concerned about my transmission noise. I told him the background about Mccluskey and the fraudulent stuff they have done to my truck and he stated ok he did.not want to get involved with this. I then called and spoke w the Manager and told my what was stated to as Im leaving for Kansas tomorrow in my truck for a hunting trip. I asked if he could get me in a rental and he said only you could approve a rental for that type of distance. I would need something that will hold 3 to 4 guys and all of their gear. The manager stated that Juan is not a mechanic and basically had no right to say that. Juan was truly concerned about the noises it makes as it is very bad. It is sad the manager discredited him foe being concerned. I am leaving for Kansas at 5am tomorrow. I have no choice. We have thousands of dollars in this trip. If you can work a miracle today on Sunday please let me know.
I want to bring up a few other things.
The last time you buffed my truck, was the third time. I asked to speak with you and John P stated you refuse to talk to me anymore then John stated rhe below.
"No one wants yo talke to you. They are refusing to deal with you"
"We will never make you happy" " Some people want everything"
"You best take your keys and get on down the road"
"If you post anything about this I will personally come at you hard"
" You don't worry about what we did to your truck, if it looks good now who cares"
I want to be very clear why I state fraudulent. You have been personally been involved with buffing my truck 3 times and have refused to document it. I have pics to prove it. You never had my permission to buff it. You have painted my truck and refused to document it. Thats fraud. You refuse to document the concerns my truck has. Shauna R has lied to Corporate *** aboit my truck and refuses to call me back. You promise to have an professional company undercoat my truck and fix the paint mess ups, but you lied and never done that. Kelly from after market stated she would refund my money for my *** liner as you have tried 3 times to spray it on and it peels off. She lied I never received a refund. She got very mad and loud when I told her I was filing my claims to the Complaintsboard.com and AG. The reason for my liner not sticking was you dod not prep the metal correctly. Yes, I sent you these pictures. I was in there approx 5 months ago for an oil change and the guy who wears alotnof gold necklaces refused to give me my paperwork. Stated something about the work orders. Thats the 3rd time you buffed my truck without permission. You will see the work order specifically states to mot buff mybtruck again. I want that printed out and emailed back to everyone on this email as McCluskey has refused to give me those documents.
I've been dealing with an ill father so I haven't had time to mess with this. Well I'm back and more pissed than ever. I'm requesting transparency and honesty with McCluskey Chevy from here going forward. I have added the Complaintsboard.com and Attorney General on this email and I eill be filing the appropriate paperwork within the next fews weeks. I will stating my case, your emails, and pictures of the damages on every review and community facebook pages locally. I will not do anything illegal nor will Islander you. I will only state the facts and show the pictures of what happpened.
Everything below here was documented as it was happening. I wanted to keep a journal, as I knew I would be submitting this to other places. Tim, I want to speak with the Owner, Owner Operator, or someone in a high position than you. If you can do something for me about a rental vehicle sufficient for my trip today I would feel alot better about driving my truck far distances. The manager I spoke with yesterday stated hes not sure he had anything sufficient for my trip. You have hundres of SUV's and trucks on your lot. I guess it all depends how safety over customer satisfaction.
Today is May 20 and Mccluskey still hasn't fixed my truck. Fraud, tried to hide damage to truck, buffed truck at 3 month old truck for no reason and swirled the paint bad. This is the start of an official complaint with the Complaintsboard.com and Attorney General.
Karen S promised me she and others had a resolution. Which was a lie. Left a few voicemails with zero response.
I put Corporate Complaint on McCluskey about my truck. Shauna R was the contact. She lied to Corporate numerous times stating it was correct. Left her 5 voicemails w zero response.
Talked to Kelly in *** Lining Department as my liner is coming off for the 4th time. She was extremely rude. This department sanded my truck to the bare metal and will not inform me of what was done to repair it.
The below was written a month ago. I am in your dealership currently still trying to figure out the lies and fraud on my truck. The Complaintsboard.com and the Attorney General is cc'd on this email. I gave Mccluskey an extra month to figure this out as Tim stated he would but here we syill are. 4/23
Last month draft saved
Mr. Mccluskey I have had alot of issues with my brand new truck that I purchased from your dealership. Instead of reinventing the wheel I am going to copy and paste my fb post below. My truck is not fixed after numerous attempts of Mccluskey trying. Now instead of fixing my *** liner they sprayed black paint over it which is blatant fraud. Feel free to reach out to me. The Complaintsboard.com and attorney General is getting a copy of this email.
3/4 Update on Mccluskey Chevrolet and my truck
They are still refusing to document what happened to my truck. Sanding it to the bare metal, using a black spray paint vs *** liner that I paid for.
I have called Service Manager, Shawna 4 times and left voicemails. She has refused to call me back. She was the contact for my Corporate complaint and she continues to tell Corporate it is fixed, when it is not at all.
Karen another service manager stated that they called me and I never return their calls.. Another lie. Also included is portion of the phone calls I've made to Mccluskey Chevrolet.
I have called Tim, another Service Manager and left him voicemails and no call backs.
I have called Gary, Assist Service Manager and left him numerous voicemails. He returned a call last week and he had a few representatives on speaker with him. He called at the timeframe they knew I was unavailable to talk. I was never informed they were going to call. They knew what timeframe I am unavailable to talk, but yet they chose to call when they knew I couldn't answer. Smh
My truck still has swirls in the paint.
Mccluskey will not explain what was done to my truck to protect the paint when it was sanded to the bare metal.
Mccluskey was suppose to order parts that they left off of my truck when they were working on it.
They did not order them.
Mccluskey Chevrolet in Mason is an absolute sham. Buyer beware. This is based off how they have treated me and my truck.
Update: 2/13
I locked this post trying yo give Mccluskey Chevrolet another chance at fixing my truck and they failed. This is the 3rd time they had to fix the *** liner and they Fraudulently used a spray paint or something. It came off as I touched it w my finger. Pic included and this is the 3rd time I took it back for the *** Liner issue. There is missing fender caps as well that thy didn't reinstall. I've asked them numerous time to document what happened with sanding down my truck and they won't put details on paper. Lastly they absolutely refused to call me back until I put a formal corporate complaint on them. I've bought many new vehicles over the years and all dealerships are the same, but don't be fooled by Mccluskey as they definitely try to pride themselves on how "the sale in never final" -- Tony B's favorite line.
Corporate GM complaint filed on Mccluskey Chevrolet in Kings Auto Mall on my 2020 Chevy Silverado TrailBoss LT! Buyer beware!
I have requested to talk to Managers via the Phone, Emails, and I have also left many voice mails and no one will call me back other than the Service Tech who is lost on how to handle this.
It is very sad and pathetic how a dealership so quickly forgets their compassion and knowledge they bragged about when you purchase a vehicle from them.
First off I had a bedliner and my fenders *** lined. Mccluskey Chevrolet did not prep the paint on my fenders, so within a few weeks my *** peeled off as they did not prep and sand the paint before thy installed it. I took it back and they indeed sanded my fenders this time inside and the outside of the side of truck bed in some spots down to the bare metal. These spots that were scratched and sanded were on the painted surface of my truck that were not *** lined and very visible. When the *** liner peeled off the amazing service techs were trying to convince me that the brackets fell out and all I needed was brackets. I tried to state that was incorrect that the black stuff hanging was a spray. After arguing with them and leavin as I was getting no where I called the McCluskey Chevrolet *** liner section and spoke w the lady in charge and explained to her what they where trying to do. He exact words were, "are you kidding me." She called and got it straightedge out. Now going back to when they resprayed the *** Liner in my fenders they lost control of the sander and it sanded the ouside of my bed and they tried to return the truck to me in that condition. I informed the service tech of this and they stated, just bring it back we will fix it, so I did that. Well now they buffed my entire truck and it is a swirled mess. The clearcoat looks like absolute hell with nicks taken out of the paint. Now they want me to bring it back again so they can fix it. I have left many messages with Gary and Tim, which they are the Service Manager and Service Assist Manager. Neither will return my call. I actually called Tim and it rang 4 times and the phone picked up and hung up. Jeremy the Service Supervisor was dumbfounded how bad the paint is.
Many other things happened during the time my truck was at Mccluskey. After Mccluskey had my truck for a few days I went and picked it up. When I did my low tire pressure was reading the front driver pressure low so I checked it and it was fine. The next day it said again that the tire pressure was low on the driver front. When I went to leave work that day My rear passenger tire was on the rim and a huge metal spike was in the tire. I told the service tech that it happened when thy had my truck, but it was reading front drivers tire was low. Her statement to me was well those don't read the actual tire that is low. It just means you have a low tire. So your telling me my truck says low drivers front tire doesn't actually mean that, that is the fire that is low... correct it cant determine which tire is low?! Wow are you kidding me?! This is a service adviser stating this.
Also, when I took my truck back to have them look at the scratches on my truck it was absolutely covered in dry salt. They went and got a dry stained rag to wipe it down it. Dry rag and dried salt on my truck. Thad to stop them from doing it and they had no clue that would destroy the paint.
When they had truck in the shop and they were fixing the *** liner the some kind of chemical was plastered all over the driver side door. It would not come off in the car wash, so they had to remove it.
When I purchased my truck a bedliner was thrown in on the deal and the Saleman was suppose to set it up. I told him it would be a month or so before I would be back. I called and texted him about it and he would not respond. His name is Tony B. Don't use him of you go to Mccluskey. Finally I called and got it all set up and told them it was part of the deal. They called me back and said we are good go ahead and bring it in and we will take care of it. The liner gets put in and they charge me full price for the liner. I told them the story and they had no clue what was going on. The manager calls the Salemans and asks him if it was part of the deal and he was on speaker, but he didn't know and he stated OMG I can't remember that was 2.5 months ago. This was after I had been contacting him wo any response for a month.
At Mccluskey Chevrolet, from my experience, you are definitely a number and they lose all compassion after the sale. The knowledge of the service tech, or the lack there of, is mind-numbing.
Unfortunately due to their non responsiveness they have a corporate complaint on them thru GM Corporate currently!.
