Horrible treatment and service
Horrible treatment and service. They're scammers, and when you call them out and catch them red-handed, they get an attitude and act like you're the one scamming them since they didn't get caught.
I bought a car from this dealership on 3/26 and 5 weeks later it is still not fixed and undrivable
I bought a car from this dealership on 3/26 and 5 weeks later it is still not fixed and undrivable. I have been lied to and told they will not fix my car until I have my mother remove a negative *** review. To this date, I have not had the car in my possession for more than 3 days. I just want a resolution to this problem and I want my down payment back so I can purchase a car that actually works.
The sales and customer service at McGrath Volvo Cars of Fort Myers are the absolute worst I've experienced in my 54 years
The sales and customer service at McGrath Volvo Cars of Fort Myers are the absolute worst I've experienced in my 54 years. It's been almost six months, and the Volvo items I bought along with the vehicle still haven't been put in. I reckon they only gave me those items to make the sale and never really planned on installing them. On top of that, I reported warranty issues over four months ago, and they still haven't fixed them. All I want is for them to install the items I paid for and sort out the warranty repairs.
BUYER BEWARE!
BUYER BEWARE! This dealer lied over and over again to sell a vehicle that was never inspected. Bald tires that were the wrong size, brakes that were shot. Very unsafe vehicle to drive. AND to top it all off, they couldn't even get us a title for the vehicle as it had fraud on it. They want ME to go to the police station to sort it out and try and get a title. WHAT A JOKE! DO NOT buy a vehicle from this dealership. Look at some of the other bad reviews that had similar claims. Not only that, but the General Manager didn't even have the decency to call us about the sale after repeated emails and voicemails to him requesting a call. This dealership should be reported to the ComplaintsBoard.com and be shut down. I repeat, DO NOT buy a vehicle from this dealership. There are plenty of reputable dealerships out there to purchase a vehicle from.
We tried to sell our 2007 Lexus RX400h and I filled in the info to find buyers
We tried to sell our 2007 Lexus RX400h and I filled in the info to find buyers. I gave all the important details about the car and got an offer of $4200. When we went to sell it, the lady in charge of buying cars came to meet us. She said she would check the car based on the info I provided, take it for a test drive, and then make a final offer. The first thing she said to me was that kbb.com, which gives estimated car values, isn't accurate for cars with over 140,000 miles. Her comments made me suspicious, and my suspicion was confirmed when she came back with an offer of $500. I told her I wouldn't even discuss such a low offer and left. Then I went through the same process with Carmax and they offered $4400 for the same car. Carmax also checked the info and confirmed the offer of $4400. We sold the car to Carmax. The Volvo process is clearly a trick where they offer one thing and then change it. I just want to warn others so they don't get fooled into accepting a low offer for their car.
Go to diffrent car dealership
Go to diffrent car dealership. My daughter came in with a preapproval Suncoast credit union, and when the card that she looked at was more than she was approved, ***, they took it upon themselves to pay for an additional loan for the amount that she needed for the car which is not what they told us they told us they were going to ask Suncoast to a salon that she had already been approved for. Did they do it all the time when we question the terms on the new paperwork finance manager was extremely rude and basically said we were stupid for thinking what we were thinking in all actuality thats exactly what happened five days later after a fraud alert was on my daughter. She had to bring the car back and they told her there was nothing they could do for her. I went in to talk to the sales guy and he refused to see me so the manager came out and basically laughed at me. That is a sleazy used car dealership type activities that they try to pull on my 18-year-old daughter who has worked her *** off to get what she wanted. The manager laughing just goes to show that they dont care about their customers.
BUYER BEWARE!
BUYER BEWARE! I want to warn anyone thinking of doing business with McGrath Volvo of Fort Meyers. My experience with them was terrible, especially with the sales manager, Chris. We were negotiating on a 2020 XC60 w/Inscription package. After agreeing on the price and terms, Chris asked for a deposit to secure the car. I let him charge my credit card $500 for the deposit. I also submitted a credit application, and they did a hard credit check. At that point, I thought the deal was done, like it usually is with other dealerships. The next morning, Chris called me with "good news and bad news." He said my credit application was approved, but the car we agreed on was in a collision. I asked for pictures of the damage, but he still hasn't sent them, even after a week. It's strange because the car is still listed on their website. I don't understand what's going on. Was it in a collision or not? I'm extremely disappointed and shocked by the manager and the dealership's actions. Once they received my deposit, they should have set the car aside as "SOLD." It shouldn't have been used. There's no excuse for that. Chris was dishonest throughout the negotiation process. He initially said the car had less than 700 miles, but the next day he said it had over 3000 miles. He only cared about getting my deposit and pulling my credit. He succeeded, but I have nothing to show for it. He even tried to offer me another car for $55 more per month. That's bait and switch, and it's unacceptable. When I told him I had to find a car elsewhere, I asked for a copy of my credit application to avoid another credit check at other Volvo dealerships. He said it wasn't necessary because all Volvo dealers have access to Volvo Financial Services. But Jennifer from Volvo customer care told me that each dealership is independently owned and operated, so they would need to pull credit again. That's deceitful and unacceptable. After this awful experience, I strongly believe the car was in a collision before I made the deposit, which makes pulling my credit even more wrong. I feel taken advantage of and manipulated. These feelings shouldn't be associated with buying a new car. I later found out that they didn't actually charge my credit card for the deposit, even though they said they did. More lies! Customer care said they would pass the matter to the Regional manager, who would talk to the GM. But instead, I got a call from an employee named Dorian, who started the conversation with "so I hear you're interested in a White XC60 with Maroon Brown interior." It was the same car the sales manager wanted me to pay $55 more per month for. After explaining everything to Dorian, he said he would get back to me. It took him 3 days to reply with "We can't do the deal on the 2020." He sent it via text, with no effort to make things right or any remorse. This sums up what it's like to give your business to McGrath Volvo of Fort Meyers.

On September 12th, I bought a used 2018 *** Sienna from McGrath Volvo Cars of Fort Myers
On September 12th, I bought a used 2018 *** Sienna from McGrath Volvo Cars of Fort Myers. When the car arrived, I noticed a crack in the window sun shade that nobody told me about. I also paid $1064.31 for sales tax and $52.75 for title and registration fees, but I still haven't received my vehicle registration or title. I reached out to Volvo cars of Fort Myers regarding these issues, but they ignored me and didn't make any effort to fix their service problems. My temporary registration and tags will expire on October 7th, and I still haven't heard from them. Whenever I try to call, they don't answer the phone. I need this problem resolved quickly because my car will be towed if I don't have the correct documentation. I think they should also compensate me a little for the sun shade repair. I contacted Volvo about the cracked sun shade and sent them pictures, but they haven't gotten back to me.
I bought a car from this Volvo dealership and it had a headlight out
I bought a car from this Volvo dealership and it had a headlight out. The car smelled like there was no gas, and the door wouldn't lock. It was really out of shape, even though their records said it was okay. I called the dealership the next day and told them I wasn't going to break the contract since I was within the 24 hours to do so. They said they would take care of it, but they didn't. They promised to, but their first excuse was that there was no appointment, so I had to wait. Then they denied it. After they claimed they would take care of it, they didn't. Another issue is that my payment will be around $360. They said last week that the bank they work with, Ally, told me I was late on my payment. After more than a year, they claimed I'm behind. I realized that not only did they sell me a bad truck, but they also work with a bad financial institution. I got screwed by this dealership. Even though I made a complaint about this dealership with the state, I had no luck. So, I want people to be careful about this corrupted place. Do your homework. This dealership is a fraudulent one.

Brought my car to the Volvo dealer in June for a check engine light, oil light, and needed an oil change
Brought my car to the Volvo dealer in June for a check engine light, oil light, and needed an oil change. They said they updated the computer software and did an oil and filter change, but didn't charge me for it. The invoice says the oil change and filter were replaced, but they told me they had "extra filters laying around and can't put it on the invoice or we'd have to charge you for it." I took my car, and less than 6 weeks later (August 11), my engine seized. It has less than 80,000 miles on it. I had it towed to a local shop, and they found it was seized. I asked them to drain the oil and pull the filter to make sure the oil change and filter were replaced like Volvo said. I have pictures of the oil and filter. I showed them to the service director at Volvo, and he agreed more than 3 times that there was no way they changed the oil and filter and that they never give away free oil changes. I brought a friend with me who can confirm these statements. Volvo has had my car at the dealership and hasn't done anything to fix the problem.
***, the sales person assured us that it was a standard bed pickup, but it turned out to be short bed
the sales person assured us that it was a standard bed pickup, but it turned out to be short bed. That was the first misrepresentation. Apparently in the confusion, we were distracted when we signed some paper agreeing to a higher price than advertised. I do not have a copy of that and don't remember agreeing to a higher purchase price. Then when we got to the office for final signing, we did not notice the price was about $1700.00 higher than the advertised price (I have various screen shots of the sales advertising showing the advertised price). Also, in the confusion of an hour long signing process there was a charge of $2600.00 for "extended warranty" which I would never agree to, but the dealership representative *** says he has me on video tape agreeing to take that. There was confusion in that room and distracting questions like "Where did you guys meet", etc. It is a new truck with *** miles; I don't need or want an extended warranty. Interesting that the "Vehicle Buyers Order" has only one charge highlighted in yellow, the Title and License fees, so a distraction from the other charges. Certified mail to the dealership resulted in a phone call from *** saying they would discuss with me if I came in, and could refund "some"of the money. Not satisfactory to me. Now the problem is I am driving the vehicle illegally because they supplied me with a license plate (which I had to install) that does not match the Registration. There were other issues of lies and misrepresentation that is too much to list here. The dealer used intentional predatory pricing and taking advantage of a 77 year old man with hearing issues. We were rushed into signing and initializing much paperwork, and were not give the time to ask or inquire about what we were signing. I have given them a month to rectify the issue with no result.
Thus place is a house of devils. They look normal until your money is gone and the nice act disappears. They sold my son a Lemon and a warranty. They even asked me to take my review down to even help him.
