faulty car
Good Day,
I purchased a Renault Duster from BB Auto Polokwane on February 2016.The vehicle was purchased brand new.
Shortly after taking ownership of the vehicle, I started experiencing problems. Before the vehicle was due for its first service, I experienced a fault with the air-conditioner, it was not blowing any air. The vehicle was then taken back to BB Auto Polokwane for the repair thereof April 2016. Renault has failed to repair the defect with the air-conditioner because it faulted two more times and both incidents were report with the Renault Dealership at The Glen. As I lay this complaint, I am currently awaiting the replacement of the heater box which was reported about two weeks.
A mere day after its first service, the 15 000 service, the car came to a complete halt for reasons unknown. I contacted BB Auto Polokwane who then arranged to come and collect the vehicle in Giyani, Limpopo. They then diagnosed the car as having a faulty ignition which we had to wait for 2weeks for the car as the part was delayed.[Another mechanical problem I've experienced with vehicle is that it shakes. I have been reporting this issue since February 2017.The vehicle tends shake when on an incline and when moving from rest. Each time the vehicle was taken to the dealership for this issue, I was informed that the technicians have found no fault with the vehicle and that the problem could not be detected. I was told that they do not see anything wrong with the car.
On Wednesday 5 September 2018, the vehicle was persistently shaking and I took the vehicle to the dealership at The Glen. Miraculously, the fault had been detected and I was informed by a certain Mr Leeroy Scholtz that the cost to fix the vehicle would amount to R31 000.
Renault prides itself with regards to the warranty it offers with its cars.
· It offers a 5 year 150 000km for all models ordered and registered from 11 January 2010.
· My new vehicle is protected by this RENAULT New Vehicle Warranty. This means the vehicle is guaranteed on the terms and conditions set out in the warranty policy against any defects relating to material, fitting or manufacturing fault under the Warranty for a period of 60 months from the date of delivery or 150 000km whichever comes first.
· The warranty covers the cost of repair or replacement of defective parts to repair a material, assembly or manufacturing defect recognized by the manufacturer when carried out by a member of the RENAULT network. It also covers consequential damage to the vehicle resulting from the principal defect.
I am now puzzled as to why I should incur costs to repair a vehicle which has been experiencing this mechanical fault since February 2017 when it was first reported and the technicians allegedly could find no fault with the vehicle. I have on more than one occasion brought this problem under the attention of the dealership, but no fault could be detected. Miraculously, someone has detected this problem and I am to incur costs of repair.
I have been a patient and loyal customer to Renault and appalled by the lack of compassion and competent customer service I have received ever since taking delivery of the vehicle. I am not prepared to contribute any amount of money to repairs of a vehicle which is still under warranty and Renault failing to detect a problem long reported and failing to repair.
Could you kindly please assist me because it has been more than 2weeks now and my car is still at the dealership, I've been asking to speak to the manager at the Bruma headoffice but it seems they don't want to transfer me to them
They're send me back and forth.
I was told they're assessing the matter (by a lady called Lucy Kgomoeswana from Renault South Africa)
This morning she calls to tell me I need to get an assessed to determine whether it was. negligence from the dealer or is it me.
She has no imfoufeom the job cards as yet.How then did they come to the conclusion without information.
Please I need help.

Sale process
I was called by a financial sales lady who told me the good news that I got finance for my car. Needless to say it took forever for her to call, she says it was hard to get hold of me, which is not true. Anyway when she eventually called me, I asked her to send me sale details on email, which she failed to do so. She expect me to agree to whatever terms she has for me, which is absurd. I have negotiated for my Jeep purchase with a dealer before, I will not accept any interest rate dictated to me.
Then I asked to have my car delivered to my work place, for which I was told it is not possible. Renault Fourways is under 5 kilometers away from my work place. They eventually said yes, they will deliver. Needless to say I kept on calling to remind and check at what time will the car be delivered.
When they do deliver, I am bracing myself for more surprises...
I am not impressed with the level of service from this team.
Paintwork
Purchased a renault clio 4 dynamique 8 months ago (Brand new) from renault fourways and the paint is now cracking and peeling all over the car! Took it to the dealership who sent it to their 'approved body shop. ' after requesting to see the report and asking for feedback 5 times, they sent me an email saying it was caused by bird poo and that it won't be covered by warranty. Regardless of whether or not there was bird poo on my car, it should not do this to my car or any car! The paint quality is clearly poor and the fact that the paint is cracking and peeling all over the car clearly proves this! They clearly haven't done a thorough inspection of the car and have something to hide as no formal report was sent to me after I requested it 5 times (Perhaps the car was even resprayed?). I was forced to collect my car and the dealership have basically told me to get lost. Renault south africa and customer care also aren't assisting in any way. I will be reporting this to the ncc and the motor ombudsman and I will be getting my own unbiased inspections of the paintwork on my car done. Renault have taken away the joy of driving a new car and that's what I am paying for so I expect a brand new replacement vehicle exactly like mine for no additional cost! I will keep fighting this until i'm blue in the face and until renault give me what I deserve and what i'm paying for! I will never buy another renault nor recommend their cars to anyone!
Renault clio blaze
Good day
I hope it is a good day for you.
I cannot believe that type of poor service I have been receiving from this brand.
First you advertise something that is not on stock and to bring it in to branch it takes few
Your technical person is not available to do the upgrades that I ordered on my car
Let’s not talk about the sales person who I had to contract to ask what was happening, I believe this is just poor service .
I wanted an upgrade on my wheels and (no don’t guess) yes the very same salesperson and manager of the Branch in Four ways (which is where I purchased the car at)told me that I will have everything ready for me Monday that is after I have waited a month for the car. The Blaze signs are missing from the car but I was told I will have them by Monday already in place and guess what, I have to wait to get them. I don’t understand why the product on the pamphlet which you guys do is not the same as the final product . Very unhappy with Renault especially the fourways branch .
See if the sales person know that my contract was already finalized why did he even bother offering me those wheels that I want still.
Do your sales staff not have adequate training
Renault fourways just like to promise but cannot deliver?
This question I still ask.
Saturday the Manager did not even seems to know that the salesperson had already had me waiting for weeks.
Really now Renault Fourways, what is wrong with you?
