meijer's peanut butter cookies baked in stores
On Monday June 26, 2017 I purchased the twenty pack of cookies. They tasted burnt and were Extremely hard I returned the cookies three times getting same results. After the third try I threw them out. Being on fixed income I will never buy those cookies again. The cookies used to be so delicious and soft. Several friends and family members have also complained about same issue.
alcohol service
This is the fourth time I have been denied the sale of alcohol. I work at the bdubs in the same parking lot so I often walk in late. Of the four encounters attempting to buy alcohol, I had one drink, once, prior to entering the store. My brother and several friends have encountered the same issue. I live and work within 5 minutes of this Meijer. I will never return. Many others have said the same. This is absolutely ridiculous!
cashier
Yesterday night one of the cashier was so unfriendly and rude, my husband ask her about how to use an online coupon and she answer so unfriendly, her face was like I don't want to be here, if she doesn't like her job, she should look for something else, it was like 10:00 pm I'm not sure but a I think it was the 14 register, next time I will go for the self check out
pharmacy service
I am writing about store #208 at 3710 Dix, Lincoln park Michigan 48146. Telephone [protected].
This pharmacy repeatedly provides poor service by failing to have prescriptions ready when promised. We receive an automated call stating our regular refills are ready and when we go to the pharmacy they are not ready. Also they are not ready but then we are forced to wait because we are told if we don't wait they wont fill them. My husband waited 2 hours today. I have been getting prescriptions here since December and my husband for two years.
I don't understand this practice at all and am ready to take all of our prescriptions elsewhere.
I also have a regular monthly narcotic prescription they will not fill unless the call the doctor to verify the RX. I have been turned back day after day sometimes because they can't reach the dr-so they wont keep the Rx until they do they just push it back at me. I am 62 years old and cannot make a trip to the store everyday hoping today will be the day the fill my Rx. it is a repeat prescription that they keep verifying from the same provider-I would thin that since they hve been able to verify the same prescription form the same provider 7 times it should no longer be an issue.
Can you help us or do we have to go elsewhere?
My number is [protected] please respond and let me know because we are fed up.
Sincerely,
Jane R. Corder -Spens

misleading meat packaging
Today I bought a 2 pack of tbone steaks. The top steak looked good. When I came home my husband took the steaks and cooked them, so I didn't see the bottom steak until it was on my plate. I am very unhappy with the quality of the bottom steak. The steaks were packaged so the tenderloin area was hidden, and I couldn't see it was missing. I would never have bought this steak had I known. I consider this deceptive packaging. I am not really a steak fan and often the tenderloin is the only part I eat when my husband just has to have steak. This was really a disappointment. I feel like I have been the victim of unethical packaging practices. Twenty dollars is a lot of money for us to spend on one food item. Photos attached.
printer ink
I bought a box of your Meijer brand HP 951 multi pack printer ink. My HP printer would not accept it. I no longer have the receipt for the box, but it was bought at the Charlotte Mi Meijers. I spent hours trying to get my printer to work before my son pointed out that the cartridges were slightly different from the HP cartridges that had been in it. I also had to take some parcels to the Post Office because I could not print labels for 2 days and they cost me about $10 more than if I could have printed click n ship labels. I would like a refund on the unusable cartridges. I have already bought a box of HP cartridges (from Meijers!) to get my printer working and now it works fine.
Very unhappy with the Meijer's remanufactured HP 65 Black inkjet cartridge. Despite following all the directions and contacting support; it still wouldn't work. I will never try again. HP OEM for me from now on.
Do not buy Meijers ink cartridges they are dishonest. Monroe MI 48162
produce department
The produce dept looked terrible. The fresh greens were wilted. The grape tomatoes were bad. It looked like Walmart. I'm enclosing picture. If you zoom in you can see how bad it looks. I usually shop here because of its produce department. The organic potatoes were growing eyes. It must have been a hard weekend since this was Monday morning. Thank you for your attention
service
A visit to the Southfield, Michigan store location found both women bathrooms to have stall doors and toilet paper holders that do not function/operate had not been repaired or replaced. This is a safety issue. It can also cause excessive use of toilet paper, use of other paper due to the toilet paper falling onto the floor and becoming too dirty to use possibly creating plumbing repair, not to mention it is very unsanitary. Children and disabled adults can be directly affected. Please address and resolve this matter as soon as possible. A regional Director's store visit is recommended.
In the best interest of customers and company shareholders.
coupon not acknowledged
Hi Meijer,
On Sunday, June 11th I shopped the Meijer Store #178. I had a manufacturer's coupon for 75 cents off Cottonelle Toilet Paper along with a Meijer coupon for the same product. Upon returning home, I noticed that only the Meijer coupon value had been taken. I returned to the store the same day, presented my receipt to the Customer Service person and told her that Meijer had taken my coupon, but that I did not receive the discount. I was told that there was nothing the service person could do because it was against Meijer policy to use a Meijer coupon in tandem with a manufacturer's coupon. In the meantime, I'm left without being able to use my 75 cents off Cottonelle coupon because Meijer will be submitting it for reimbursement to the fulfillment house. Do I have any recourse? Should I go back to the store a third time? Thanks for your help!
meijer brand kettle chips
I purchased meijer brand kettle chips last week, my 10 year old son was eating some with dinner tonight and when he tried to bite a chip it was extremely hard. Luckily he said something and spit the chip out without swallowing it. The chip was a folded chip with a plastic piece in between the fold. He could have choked or this could have lodged in his thrust, stomach, intestines etc...I attached pictures, please respond
customer care and service
Date: 6/8, Fastlane106:TX:211, OP:557, TM106, St:221, 21:50:03 Tonight we where at the Meijer in Grandville, it was busy so we did the self check out. I rang in my leggings that where on the wrack that said buy one get one for a dollar. When I rang them up it did not go through and I thought maybe at the end it will happen when I push finish and pay. The price did not go down when I was done ringing items up so I called for help. We waited 5 minutes for someone to come over and review order in those 5 minutes 3 staff people looked at me and said nothing. When the lady came over she already had her badge in hand so I could not see her name. She processed to ask me what do I need help with in a very demanding way. I said I like to double check to see if the leggings rang up by one get one for a dollar. The lady took a big sigh and started to review the order. She then very demanding asked when I rang them up in the order, I told her I was not sure but the price is 18.00. She eventually found them and they did not ring up right. She said you want them? I said no I like them for the sale price of buy one get one for a dollar like it is posted. She said do you want one. I said no, I want what is posted. She said you want both. I said no I want the deal that is posted. She said you want them both. I eventually said no I don't them at all any more. She then canceled them out and walked away. I am fluster with customer service, I worked retail for a company for years and it is not ok, busy or not to treat people the way I was treated. This is not the first time this has happened to me while shopping at Meijer. I gave the staff the benefit of the dough that maybe it was just a bad day for that person. Not any more, I am a person who spends a lot of money at this store and if a item is on sale you should get your staff to help you find out the price, or get a manager to help the customer with there needs. That is what I was taught, that the customer comes first. I would really like to see better customer service from the staff.
customer service
This morning, while shopping with my dad, he became very ill at the check out. Half way through his transaction he began to vomit and loss consciousness. Your staff (at the Merrillville, IN location) was so helpful. The cashier completed the transaction while other staff associates help me get him into a wheelchair. They gave him a cold compreas and a bottles water. They even helped me take both him and our groceries to my vehicle. More often than not nany tend to complain about customer service, but I am truly thankful for their help. They went above and beyond today.
Thanks
customer service
To whom it may concern, my name is Stacie Worth and my family and I have moved to Louisville, Kentucky 3 months ago. We were very excited to move very close to a Meijer store as there wasn't one near us where we moved from. We have never once been there in these 3 months that we could just go through the regular checkout line because the card readers will not read our brand new bank card. We have to go get in the customer service line and pay there. There is always a line because there is always only one person working even though there is always 3 or 4 employees standing around the customer service area. This past Saturday, June 3, we had $197.00 in merchandise and as usual, we were sent to customer service when our cards would not work. We waited in line 20 minutes while the employee checked or sold lottery tickets. Finally, when we got waited on, the guy tried and tried to figure out how to let us pay, he told us he didn't know how. In our frustration, we had no choice but to leave our cart full of groceries and leave. After checking our bank account Monday morning, we discover that the $197.00 had been taken out anyway. We are in the process of trying to get the money returned. So, we have gone through a huge hassle with your store and never even got to bring our groceries home. We were just trying to have a normal grocery shopping trip but it was definitely way more trouble than it was worth. If you have any questions about it, you can contact me at [protected]. My address is 1913 Nocturne Drive in Louisville, Kentucky 40272. The Meijer I am speaking of is the Valley Station location. Thank you
checking out
While my daughter and I were checking out at the Do It Yourself lanes, we had a gift card that would pay for our purchase since I accidentally left my credit card at home. But when we ran the gift card through the machine, it read "Read Err" and read off a number. The cashier, Jacqueline L., didn't even look at the code and said, "Isn't there a number on the back? Call it." (She didn't say it rudely, but said it that she couldn't help me any further.. and that she didn't want to.) I run to exchange an item so we can have money to pay. I ask the very helpful gentleman who helped me about the situation and if that's true. He said to tell the woman to "hit override and punch in the numbers from the card". So I come back and tell the woman about and she sighs only to reluctantly do it. Ms. Jacqueline L was not very nice to my daughter and I, and I appreciate her seemingly laziness attempt to help us.
management is so bad
This lady got so rude about me trying to explain a problem I was having. Her name tag said GiGi. I a ked her if I could get a item priced matched and she said the price was to low. So I showed her on my phone and she still refused. I over heard her said I probably made the screen shot up. I am a 54 year old male and don't know what that rude lady was talking about but I will tell you this, I will never shop there again ever. Tommy.
I tried to get a item at the price on the shelf. The manager Gigi told the cashiers no that I was full of [censor]. This was at the bowling Green ky store. You just lost a long term customer that spent 200 a week at your store. This pony tail woman needs fired. She is very rude and unprofessional. I will never go there again. Kroger you just gained a new customer. Mike Adams.
honey wheat braid pretzels quality
I recently purchased a bag of Meijer honey wheat braided pretzels on May 26, 2017 at the 28th street Meijer and was incredibly disappointed to find many of the pretzels way too hard to the point that I felt I was going to break a tooth. I have purchased these pretzels many times and greatly enjoy them. I have never had a problem with them before. I am not sure if these pretzels were overcooked or if something else happened, but I feel immensely disappointed by one of my favorite snacks. I love Meijer, and its line of products, and I hope that this allows the company to adjust some quality controls issue. I would be greatly appreciative of a Meijer gift card or a new bag of pretzels. I love these pretzels and am happy I was able to bring this issue to your attention. Thank you very much!
would not take my debit card chip or swipe.
On June 2, 2017 I scanned all my items at one of the larger self checkouts, and when I went to pay with my debit card that had a chip in it (which is something I have done many times with no problems) it would not work. When my card wouldn't work the checker took my items down to one of the smaller self checkouts and re-scanned it herself, but she had the same problem as I did. The service desk told her to swipe it three times, but that didn't work either. I was now getting angry because it was hot and my ice cream was melting so I took money from the ATM which cost me a $ 3.50 in service fee. It was at this point that they finally went to get the manager who refused to reimburse me for the fees, because he said there were other ways they could try swiping my card. In other words I would have had to take my items down to a regular checker and have them scanned for a third time and hope it worked, and all the while my frozen food would have been melting as they tried to get it to work. There was nothing wrong with my card because the ATM took it okay, that means there is no problem with it.
The two employees that tried to help me were friendly enough, but as soon as I started having the a problem with the checkout machine is when they should have gone for the manager.
This incident happened at Meijer store number 198 in Bloomingdale 1:55 p.m.
I want to be reimbursed for the
service
On May 27 2017 at 1:23 pm. I bought some items from Meijer. When I got home the Drakes mix wasn't anywhere in the bags. I called the store, they told me to come in and I could pick up the item. I went in and was told the item wasn't at the service desk and go back to get one. When I returned the clerk said they found it . These people aren't customer service friendly. I was very upset to be treated like this. I have shopped at this Meijer store for over 30 years.
peppered bacon
I went to buy peppered bacon from the meat counter and there was no one in sight. I rang the bell on the counter once and waited. After. Few minutes I rang the bell again. Then 5 minutes went by and rang the bell about 10 times in a row. About 30 seconds later a very crabby worker came out and asked who was ringing the bell. Then about 2 minutes later another employee walked out ignored the other customers who were waiting then walked back into the back... The employee who was crabby was named arianna and the guy who didnt do anything was named Brandon. I would also like to say that the meat department is usually runned by a guy named Nelson who seems to carrying the load of all the slackers that work in the meat department. He is always very polite and very prompt. I wish the rest of the employees would follow in his footsteps.
bad shopping check out experience
My shopping experience was fine up until checking out. I have never been to a Meijers that didn't have at least one regular check out lane open. The only check out lanes open @ 6:45am where the self check outs. I am not familiar with these self check outs and had several issues most of which I didn't discover till I got home.
I scanned items as instructed and after scanning all items I tried to scan coupons. Having trouble an assistant came to help as I scanned coupons and the assistant had to key in to the terminal several times for errors registered. What they were keyed in I don't know. When I got home I discovered that I didn't receive credit for several of the manufacturer coupons I had scanned. 2 were $3.00 off purchase of a box of vac sealer bags & I bought 2 boxes and paid full price of $10.99 ea.That was $6.00 I lost. Then the other coupon I didn't get credit for was a manufacturer coupon for save $1.25 with purchase of 3 participating Oscar Mare products which I purchased 4 (3 hot dogs and one lunch meat). Now totaling $7.25.
The terminal would also not accept my mperks pin # which I have used for years, just never at one of these self check outs. My total purchase was $92.00 which was not registered to my mperks account which would have put me over my reward requirement for $2.00 off my next shopping trip.
This being a holiday weekend It would seem to me if Meijers could afford to have a greeter at the door when entering they could provide at least one checkout operator for the people who wish to shop early, avoid the crowds and use a check out with a person at the register. Then not have to deal with a the experience I did this morning.
Store was Michigan City Meijers. I would love to see a refund of the dollar amount I lost or didn't receive ($9.25) in a store credit redeemable @ any Meijers because I do not usually shop at this store and really don't want to go back.
I am not upset with any Meijers employee. Those who helped me were polite and helpful. However I do not wish to use these self checkouts again especially for weeks worth of groceries and coupons.
