MetroStyle Absolutely terrible scam site!!

I bought a dress from this store and delivery took forever - over 5 months. When my order finally arrived I was so excited until I opened the package. My dress looked nothing like the one I ordered so I contacted MetroStyle and demanded some explanations. They said that my dress was not in stock for a long time now so they sent me a similar one. Are you kidding me? Well, of course it was not in stock because 5 months passed since I placed my order. Demanded a refund but they said no and told that returns were available within 30 days. I contacted them the same day as I received it and it was not my fault that it took 5 months to deliver it! Absolutely terrible scam site, don't order from them!

MetroStyle Shipping Receiving

Ordered jeans on 11-14-15, received 11-21-15. Pants too large returned 11-23-15 with their label. As of today Metrostyle says it has not received. They emailed me that they would exchange pants and send smaller size with no additional shipping charge. Today they charged me $7.50 on my credit card. This is not what they said they would do. Makes item cost: 29.99+9.99+7.50. Item nearly double in cost with all their charges. Been shopping there for years but these shipping and handling charges are outrageous plus they lie on emails. I have disputed charge on credit card and will not order anymore from their site. Beware people.

MetroStyle Lousy service

I've been a customer of Metrostyle for nearly 20 years. Since Boston Proper took over and bought both Metrostyle and Chadwick's of Boston out, the service has sucked. I recently (January 2013) ordered some lace tops from Metrostyle. I wanted them for my vacation. I never received them! I was charged for them, but never received the merchandise. This is nothing new. It's happened before. I contacted them via email and was told my address was insufficient, which is wrong because I put in my correct address when filling out the credit card information plus I've been a long time customer and they should have my address in their datebase. I give them my address and the "claim" they will resend my merchandise with no extra charge. Guess what? I never received the itmes. Contacted them again and they say that they are so sorry I didn't like my stuff because it has been returned to them. In ever returned them because I never received them! They have lost me as a customer. It's a damn shame I won't order from them anymore. They used to be really great. Plus they always had really nice stuff. I don't order from Chadwick's anymore either due to the same issues.

MetroStyle Refund

I ordered a coat in December 2012 in a size medium. I received a large coat in a bag labeled medium, I sent back the coat for an exchange. Metrostyle sent me another coat and did exactly the same thing... a large coat in a medium bag, this time I sent it back for a refund. I received an email stating I would get a store credit. When I call to question the store credit as opposed to a refund, I was told because I did not send within 30 days (which was not true). After it was determined that I did return within 30 days. I was told it would take 3-5 day to post to my card. It has been two weeks, I have called three times and no refund. If you order from MetroStyle it is very likely that you will not get the product you ordered. If you return an item, It is also likely that you will not get refunded.

I ordered and received a leather coat. It did not look good on my and I returned it at the beginning of Jan. 2012. The Post Office confirmed delivery on Jan 3rd but I did not hear from the company. When I called I was told the refund would be done on Jan. 17. No refund. I called again, and was told it would take 30 days for the refund from the date of delivery. Still no refund. Apparently, the company went through bankruptcy in June, 2011 and the company was sold. I tried to contact the new owners, but it is impossible to find them.

MetroStyle Return Credit Never recieved

Back in the Spring of 2011 I returned a large package of items that did not work for me. The package was one of Metrostyle's large mailing bags it was securely packaged with strong packing tape and the return label was securely affixed. I have tried to contact
Metrostyle numerous times for nearly a year. I finally got one response from one of their reps stating that they are changing there system and my credit would be received by the end of November 2011. Nope still nothing when I try to contact them through their site it won't work. When I click submit it just erases everything I tried to send. When I use the e-mail address they give on there sight it comes back as "non-deliverable". I have sent them messages via USPS and copies of my statement with the items that were returned still no response. I wonder if it is even a valid postal address. I have since paid off my credit card paying for these items that are not even in my possesion! I am very frustrated and will no longer trust this company.

MetroStyle Refund not processed

Purchased two suits from this catalogue company on 09211, returned merchandise and company admits receipt of suits on 10/16/11. Refund due and not received since then. Numerous calls made to get status. Put on hold (at times for 45 minutes with no response), told the refund will be processed, transferred to supervisors who don't answer the calls, advised company reorganized, etc. No connection, no response, no call backs, and definitely no refund since September 2011.

Ordered jeans on 11-14-15 received on 11-21, too big, returned on 11-23, they say still not received as of today 12-10-15. Received email from them said they woud exchange for smaller size with no additional shipping charge. Today my credit card was charged $7.50. I filed dispute with credit card company. Will never order from these people again as totally a ripoff company.

These People owes me $250.00 and I want it. I ordered it and it didn't fit, I returned it and I was told my refund was being processed. Ladies and Gentlemen a month later its still being processed. I have never experienced this type of business before, This Place needs to be shut down. P.S. LMC

so call supervisors. I have still not received my refund. This place is ridiculous, and although

Hi Tracy, I agree with you, its the principal of the situation. What gives them the right to steel the money from you! That is exactly right? They have stolen 9.99 from your purse as if they had done so by picking your pocket! Well I don't allow companies to do that to me anymore! I simply call my attorney on the phone and he either calls them or writes them a really cool legal letter to convince them that they should do the right thing! I don't even have to pay any extra because its included in my legal service.

I returned a skirt Dec 8th 2011 still no refund. I see I am not the only one who is having problems. I tried calling their number numerous times and at different times of the day and night and was put on hold for long periods. I cannot send an email because the site is unavailable. Thank goodness my order was only for $9.99 and not more, but the principle is I want my money back no matter how small the amount is! I have since unsubscribed from their email promotions and will NEVER order from them again.

Please check your local laws before you do this, but what I like to do is tell the person I am speaking with that "my attorney has advised me to record this conversation. Do I have your permission to do so?" This often scares the "Customer-no-service" employee and I get quickly transfered to a person of authority or power to resolve my situation. Again, check with your local laws regarding the recording of any conversation before you do anything. You don't want to get into a bigger mess, right? hehe...

MetroStyle charged twice not refunded me money

Order to sweat suits on December 19, 2011 for$ 89.96 they charged me twice and have not refunded my money yet of $89.96. I continue to call and they put you on hold for almost a hour then someone picks up and hangs the phone up. I used to order from metrosyle/chadwicks and never had this problem. I dont know whats going on but they all r not professional. Metrostyle/Chadwicks has really changed. I will never order from them again. They just lost a good customer. They will reap what they sow. May God Bless them and Keep them!

MetroStyle Horrible Service - Refuse to Refund Money

TODAY'S DATE IS JAN. 4, 2012. THE LETTER BELOW WAS WRITTEN TO METROSTYLE'S CEO ON DECEMBER 5, 2011 AFTER NUMEROUS FUTILE ATTEMPTS TO CONTACT THE COMPANY. I HAVE STILL NOT RECEIVED ANY RESPONSE. THIS DEBACLE IS NOW 3 MONTHS OLD AND STILL NO REFUND. THEY IGNORE MY E-MAILS, I CANNOT GET THRU ON THE PHONE, THEY HAVE NEVER GIVEN ME MY CREDIT, YET THEY HAVE THE AUDACITY TO CONTINUE SENDING ME E-MAILS WANTING ME TO BUY STUFF FROM THEM. DON’T! THEY ARE CROOKS!

As unbelievable as it may seem, below is a history of the battle I have been fighting for the past two (2) months with Metrostyle. To say that Metrostyle’s behavior is unprofessional, unethical, disrespectful, and downright pathetic is an understatement. I have been trying to contact your company for 2 months because when I received the order in question, I found the need to return one of the items, and a return label was not attached to my invoice as it usually is. I had undergone 2 different surgeries just days before I placed the order, and to have to leave the house and go to the Post Office and buy postage and mail this package back to you was not only an extreme inconvenience but was also dangerous to my health at that time. I have actually sent approximately five (5) personal e-mails from my own e-mail account, I have sent approximately six (6) messages [including the one I sent today] through your website, and I have called so many times I can’t count. One particular day, I actually called the order line since customer service never answers but just leaves you on hold, and when that lady, who was very nice but hesitantly told me that the website and the organization were being revamped and that other customers were also complaining but that she would try to help me and asked me to hold for a while so she could get me through to customer service, I readily agreed. However, after holding on for 1 hour and 5 minutes, I HUNG UP! I’ve tried to get through several times since, and all I get is that stupid recording telling me that call volume is high and I will have to wait.

I WANT A REFUND FOR THE PANTSUIT I RETURNED TO YOU IN NOVEMBER, 2011, FROM THE INDEPENDENCE, LOUISIANA POST OFFICE. THE REFUND SHOULD BE IN THE AMOUNT OF $33.99 BECAUSE I PAID THE RETURN POSTAGE MYSELF, SO NOTHING SHOLD BE DEDUCTED FROM THAT AMOUNT.

If you have any interest at all in your job and your company, you really need to read the history below because the way I have been “jerked around” is totally inexcusable.

I would appreciate, and will expect, your full and prompt cooperation and assistance in this matter.

HISTORY OF WHAT HAS TRANSPIRED:

This is completely unbelievable, but here it is almost 2 months later, after 5 personal e-mails to you, 5 messages sent thru this website, numerous telephone calls which I made and never got to talk to anybody, and this matter has still not been resolved. As you can see from all the voluminous correspondence below, I WOUND UP SENDING THAT PACKAGE BACK TO YOU AT MY OWN EXPENSE. AGAIN, UNBELIEVABLY, I HAVE STILL NOT RECEIVED A CREDIT ON MY CREDIT CARD DESPITE THE FACT THAT I RETURNED IT ALMOST A MONTH AGO. I have called, and called, and called, and can't get anybody on the damned phone either! This is extremely unprofessional, unethical, and you should be reported to the Better Business Bureau. MetroStyle SCAM ARTISTS!!

Oh my God! I have been trying to reach ANYONE at Metrostyle to complain about a charge placed on my credit card (who do they think they are, charging any amount they want to my credit card? Who gave them authorization?), but neither their phone center or email seems to go a real person. I have disputed the charge with the credit card company and won't have to pay it and let the credit card people handle it. I'm wondering if Metrostyle is now run by the mafia or a bunch of conniving thieves. Glad to see there are others on here having been screwed by that FU**ing company.

I did try to call them. MANY MANY MANY times, but a message keeps coming up that "because of high call volume, wait times are longer than normal". Being on the line for HALF AN HOUR isn't normal. I don't think there are any operators working there since Metrostyle has apparently gone broke. Hence the credit card charges out of the blue and no refunds when people return items.

I order several items from Metrostyle and received only half of the order PLUS someone else's item that they ordered. I have tried to reach the company for a week now and cannot get through on the phone lines. I am anxious to know about my order and how to return item to the rightful person. Once I receive this whole order I will never shop at Metrostyle Catalog again!

NEVER do business with METROSTYLE, CHADWICKS, PYRAMID, or their other affiliated companies - - which, no surprise, is undergoing bankruptcy procedures. They are a criminal ring involved in IDENTITY THEFT, involved in unauthorized CREDIT CARD charges, making false representations on the phone calling customers for personal identifying information. Do NOT/NOT give them information on your social security number or your date or birth, key's to their IDENTITY THEFT schemes. If they ask for this information no matter who they "claim" they are, hang up and have them send the request in writing. Report this company's unethical business practices to the Federal Trade Commission, your state's attorney general, the Better Business Bureau (BBB), and the credit bureaus (TransUnion, Equifax, Experian).

Terrible, Terrible, Terrible. I have been trying to get them to credit my account for returned items since June 2011. They have messed up my Credit Rating and are causing me all kinds of headaches with this mess!

There should be a LAW against companies that take advantage of hard working people; They filed bankruptcy and did not tell their customers and now they are feeding off of us literally; And they still have more money than I. The Nerve.

MetroStyle Very poor service

I placed an order with Metrostyle on 4/27/11. The online oder site did not process correctly. I spoke with customer service several times - getting different delivery dates each time and at one point was told one of my orders was cancelled (without notifying me). I just want to get the honest truth on were my oders stand as far as delivery and or cancellation. I will not order from this site again or recommend this company to friends. Who needs the hassle of poor service?

These people are godamned #s! placed order online for 2 pairs of leggings on october 21 2011.. still have not received them! call customer service I get muzak muzak muzak musak... no one can help me.. no one will.. I cannot take this any longer.. I am a human being! no wonder metrostyle is going under! too bad it is not 6 feet!

MetroStyle refund of money

Returned $145.00 worth of clothing on 7/22/11, placed numerous phone calls and emails looking for my refund the last email I received today reads as follows:

We would like to apologize for the inconveniences you have encountered, and thank you for being so patient with us. Your frustration is absolutely understandable.

As you may know, we are currently undergoing financial restructuring. Unfortunately, this is what has been affecting your merchandise refund; however, the restructuring process is nearly complete and you will be contacted within the next 45-60 days with a resolution.

Once again, we sincerely apologize for any inconveniences you have encountered as a result of this issue and we promise to make it right.

My refund (if I believe it to be) will take yet another 45-60 days?

I also have another returned in the amount of $45.00, but I am afraid to send it back for fear that I will not get it as well. I would rather donate it to charity!

I also have returned orders. In July and Sept. Before they disconnected their phone and you could talk to someone in customer service. They stated they were behind by 4 weeks.. It has been 4 months! on my July return and 1.5 months on my Sept return. After getting a new catalog and finding a new phone number I called, you can get someone to help you with an order but nothing else! They pretend to transfer you, but you will be on hold forever until you hang up! People should be made aware that they will take your order, but if you return anything you may be out of luck getting a refund. The word Fraud comes to mind here and they need to make it right soon.

MetroStyle GETTING THE RUN AROUND

If you ever need to return an item to METROSTYLE, save your money, time and energy and just keep it! I ordered two items from metrostyle.(boots & dress) I had a buy one get one free code and deferred billing. I returned the dress in exchange for a smaller size and I immediately got charged the original shipping charges even though I was on deferred billing. Then, when I called to check on when I would receive my exchange, I was told that it was no longer available in no other size or color. I guess there goes my BOGO deal. They said that I would just get a bill for the boots in 60 days on deferred billing. Well, I got an email stating that exchange dressed was shipped and I was immediately charged 69.99 for the dress. I called METROSTYLE and inquired why I was told that the dress was no longer available, but then they still shipped it and why did they charge my card when I was on deferred billing. Well, I was told that the item was not actually shipped because it was cancelled. I asked them to explain the shipped item email that I just received and the charge to my credit card. They could not explain. I asked to talk to a manager and I was told that managers do not speak with customers. I could not speak with a manager. I thought that was the most ridiculous thing that I ever heard in the world. She just gave me the number to their collections department and told me to call them about my refund. The refund department said that they could not help me because they only handle collections. I am so frustrated and pissed off. I feel like I have no where to turn. I feel so ripped off. I sincerely hate Metrostyle now. I will never ever never order from them again. This is all over a simple return. They truly have a bunch of idiots running the whole mail order department. Please, do not make the same mistake as I did. If you have a return, you will be better off keeping it!

I have been with Metrostyle for a long time. This following year has been HELL for me dealing with this Company. The employees are Rude and so is some of the Managers. I called one day and this young lady told me that she was the Manager and in the end after really speaking to the real manager that employee was not a Manager. I called back days later and got the same lady and told her that she is not a Manager and she didn't have much to say.
I have a I had a credit of $109.98 and I called and order a dress and used some of the credit and was left with $46.98. Then I called and placed another order and I asked to use the balance of the credit which was $46.98 and I was told that she used that credit towards the order. After about a few weeks I received two letters, one from Metrostyle and one from Chadwick which they both are with each other but seperate and the letter states that I still have these credits open. Then I called Metrostyle 6 times today on 9/15/2013 and all I got was the run around from Nisha and Shaney. I can't remember the other names. I spoke to one gentleman that was really rude. I spoke to a lady before him and the lady explained to me that Metrostyle cancelled my order because the merchandise that they received from t he Warehouse was not good quality and they had to cancel orders. So I asked her to repeat that again to make sure that is what I heard and she did. Then she put me on hold and hung up and never called back. I then spoke to Shaney and she stated that she is a Manager and she put me on hold to look at the account and Hung up and never called back and that is not a Manager. If you are helping someone and the phone hangs up it is your place to give that customer a call back. She has not been much help to me. I spoke to her quiet a few times this year and she has not been able to help for a Manager. She needs more TRAINING AND I MEAN IT.
I then called and spoke to Ryan and he tried to help but they are all INCOMPUTENT. I am very sorry to be so hard but they have been putting me through HELL. I placed an order for a Sweater and they gave me all these dates for the Sweater to come in, 9, 10, 13, 16, 23 and 30 of August. I called back on all dates and they just keep changing. Then I call again and I was give more dates, 13, 16, 19 and 21st of September. I was give all these dates in one day.
I was with them when they were first Lerner and then now Metrostlye. They have change quite a bit and is getting worse and worse every year. You already have to wait almost an hour sometimes to get to place an order and then you have to put up with this going back and forth. Then I spoke to a Superviser by the name of Veronica and she did her best and I think she really helped. She told me my credit that I have with Metrostyle is $86 and change. I had a order on back order and she cancelled my order and re-ordered it so that I can use the credit that I had with Metrostyle and it seems so easy to do and the other Managers that I spoke to made it seams so hard. Please Veronica was the best and she didn't put me on hold she stayed on the line and talk to me while she was doing what she was doing so that I know what she was doing.
PLEASE RE-TRAIN SOME OF YOUR MANAGERS.

I placed an order with Metrostyle and never received it. I have called customer service several times and I got nothing but music. I once waited on hold for an hour and the music continued to play. I emailed customer service and never received a response. I did not realize that there was a problem with this company until to late. Once I realized that that they did not refund me for one of my most recent purchases, I went back and checked my charge account to see if they had refunded me for other returns that I made in August and September 2011 and nope, they did not. So to sum it up, they have charged me for an item I never received and they have not refunded my returns. My dilemma is that I continued to purchase from their sister company, Chadwicks, without realizing that the empire had gone under and I need to make several more returns that I am afraid to send back. Needless to say I will be closing my account with this company and will be taking steps to get my money back. They have lost a loyal, long-time customer!
