Michaels Stores Formal complaint for harassment and poor customer service

I am making a formal complaint against a manager named Gabriel Lopez, or whatever the heck is name is. Who hires these despicable people? Way to kick out an innocent customer. YOU [censored]BAG! Michaels Stores frames

Hi,

I love shopping at Michaels, but your customer service department is awful. I have been trying to purchase a frame that I bought a couple of weeks ago, but I need another one now and it has been out of stock online and in my nearby store (I hate going to the nearby store, because I can't find any parking in Brooklyn so online is easier anyway). I called a customer service representative and she had me on the phone for an hour, didn't know what she was talking about. You would also think a chain store would have a larger inventory.

I finally found another frame option, which is NOT available online at all and only available in your Jersey store. I can't purchase it online for pick-up so I have to go to the store to purchase. This has been a very frustrating process.

Michaels Stores terrible service from manager

Shopped at a michaels and received terrible service. Asked for a manager and he was no better. I think his name was Gabriel Lopez, or something like that. Terrible guy with no manners! Who hires these people? You call this guy a manager? It's no wonder why these people are so professional. The store is run by a lazy man with no customer service skills to boot.

Michaels Stores online ordering and pick up in store

On December 31 I placed an order for buy online pick up in store. That same day I go to pick up my item and they said my order was canceled because it was out of stock. Why would the order even go through if the item wasn't in stock. I still haven't got my money back from that yet either and today is Jan 6. Back on dec 31 since my original order was canceled I ordered the same item again but I selected to have it shipped to my house. Then on Jan 6 I check to see the status and it says my order has been canceled, again. So I called to see why it was canceled. And they women said she didn't know why. And I didn't receive my refund on that yet either. So, now I have spent close to $200 on this one item that I don't have. So I place my order again, this time for pick up to a different store that's an hour away. I drive to the store and they say my order isnt ready yet. If the order is in stock and I'm already here I don't understand why the employee can't just go get it for me. Why do I have to wait for a confirmation email. I've waisted so much time and money and gas on this one thing. It's been a week, I've spent $300 when it should have only costed me $100, I've spent over two hours in driving back and forth between both stores and home and I still don't have what I ordered. This is ridiculous. Worst service I've ever experienced with ordering online. I'm never ever ever ordering from Michaels again!

What has happened? The store is a wreck!! I've been coming to this store for years and it has fallen apart since John left and now it's worse than ever!! Michaels Stores employee/manager

I went to return a tree I had ordered for pickup due to be given the wrong one. I could not get it to fit back properly. The sales associate was very friendly while trying to take care of me. She had to call for assistance and I assume "Lisa"was the manager that approached. This was early afternoon. She first made a rude commit about the tree not being in the box correctly and continued by being hateful to the sales associate for not entering the info in the computer correctly. Not only was she rude to me but to the poor girl trying to take care of me due to the stores error. This is very tacky behavior and makes the store look bad. I know the poor girl was embarrassed. She kept apologizing. I told her she had nothing to be sorry for.

Michaels Stores manager

I was hired as a sales associate at this store and worked there for only a few days before quiting. I would not recommend applying to this location to anyone. They put you on a computer to go through training modules and expect you to be finished in 2 hours (even when your log in that was provided to you does not work and you end up having to contact their IT people to have it fixed, which took about 30-45 minutes), and then they throw you on the floor and expect you to automatically know how to do everything that they want you to do and if you ask questions or ask for help they get annoyed. I was even told that the training modules are for the USA side and when I was going by what I learned in the training, I was wrong. The main manager was so rude to me from day one. She always yelled at me over the ear piece that you are required to wear (that all employees wear, so they can all hear you being yelled at) and if I didn't reply to her immediately (because I had a customer in front of me talking and I didn't want to tell them to shush or ignore them to reply to the manager yelling in my ear) she would become even angrier and yell constantly. I had no help on the cash register (the "sales associate" position ended up being fully a cashier, while everyone else in the store were sales associates and only came to do back up on cash). Two of the managers were very rude, only the customer service manager was understanding and helpful to the employees. I would not suggest anyone shop at this location for the way the employees are treated. And myself along with family and friends will no longer shop at this location as they do not deserve business if they treat their employees so disrespectfully. Management training is a must at this location.

Michaels Stores employee

As I was walking up to the store I noticed an employee standing in the middle of the doorway, legs slightly spread and arms crossed...I wasn't really sure why she was there and then it occurred to me that maybe they were closing so I slowed down and glanced at the posted hours...nope...store was still open for another hour? It was very stand offish and uninviting. She clearly wasn't there to greet people...just stared at me as I walked in...so awkward. Not a good first impression. Then, once I selected my item and brought it to the cash...it was the same employee, lucky me! ...tag said Michelle. I was trying to just pay and leave as her demeanor was very unwelcoming. I paid for my purchase which was a snow covered garland. It was just sitting on the counter so I asked for a bag. She proceed to forcefully and very roughly push it into the bag stating "better on her then in my car" referring to the snow. She flopped it around so much I felt like it was intentional and almost asked for a new one because so much had fallen off! No, better on my garland then on you! I bought it because it had snow on it! I just don't understand peoples behaviors and attitudes these days. Makes me really sad and frustrated. Please have a discussion with your staff about customer service.

Michaels Stores bad customer service, racial profiling.

I am regular visitor at art stores, as we often need art supplies for my two daughters who like art and craft. I visited Michael's store at 145 E Hills Blvd SE Ste 50, Calgary, AB T2A 6Z8 on October 6th, 2019 between 6.00 to 6.20. I was accompanied by my mother (a senior citizen) and my 7 year old daughter.
While we were looking at the aisles in the store, we started noticed this one store employee stalking us aisle to aisle, she would walk in the aisle and pass us. It happened multiple times. She had very unwelcoming attitude, while seeing us 10 times in different aisle, neither she greeted us nor she asked us, if she can help us or ask us what were are looking for, or how has been our day. zero customer service welcome. It started hitting us that we are very un welcomed in the store and this employee is not trusting us. Then while we were in the acrylic paint aisle, this employee who was following us all the time, came and shouted rudely at me that, "do not place the stuff at wrong places, I have to pick and arrange them ", while pointing at white tubing, which i did not ever misplaced or even touched.
I went to the front counter cashier and told her about my experience of this staff member staking us in the store, and is rude, and we felt threatened, may be she is treating us poorly because we look different(racial profiling), i asked if I can convey my concerns to the store manager. The cashier paged, and behold this employee in question was the store manager 'Amanda". I told her that I have a complaint and that is against her, I explained her, how we felt unwelcomed, stalked and suspected because we look different(visible minorty), She was confortational and said this is my job and I am accusing this because she look different.
I told her I am old enough to feel and analyse the situation and there was no positive or good energy that way she was treating us and suspecting us. She said she is not in the store to read people's energy.
It spoiled our evening, a senior citizen and child were made to feel so bad as well.
I can't believe a store manager has values like that, cant believe how she treats the front line staff at the store. Will never visit this store location again.
Micheal is a great store, cant believe they have store managers who racially profile people, are non welcoming, zero customer service skills, are rude and head strong.

Being followed and profiled while she is nice to some customers she has yet to ask if I need help or how I was doing instead she follows me around the store and has a hateful attitude towards me. I spend a lot of money in this store as well as my friends, but seeing as how I have complained 4 times before and still nothing has changed I will take my 4 to 6...
