I went on vacation on friday the 3rd. This is my 2nd time I booked at motel 6. The first one it pretty good. That's why I went back this time.
But unfortunately, the manager of the motel was so bad. She doesn't know how to handle the issue. So unprofessional. And I so surprised that she get the position as a manager when she doesn't even know how to treat customers.
I booked for 3 days, but I have an emergency I have to leave a day early. I live up north california. So the drive take 7-8hrs. To prevent the traffic, I leave at 5:30am, so the clerk said, they don't have cash to refund me for the 3rd day that I didn't stay for. She said to call back around 9-10am the manager will take care of it.
I called back at 3pm and I talked to her, and she keeping telling me that when u pay cash, they refund cash back and I have to be there for them to pay me. But I keep telling her that I am already home and between north and south is 7-8 hrs drive... She keep go around the bush and telling me things that I already know. Instead of go around the bush... She could of told me... Let me call the corp. To see how they can do the refund for me. I told her, either u put the credit back to my account or send me a check of refund. But she keeping saying when u pay cash... The refund have to be cash. I said but there sudden issue that they have to leave and it not our fault that u don't have cash at that time to refund us.
I told her, I will call the corp. Myself to tell them the issue. She's so lazy and she try every which way to avoid not solve the problem. She even told me like... Don't bother to call corp. Because they will transfer me back to her branch.
I went and call the corp. And there this clerk he was so nice and he told me no problem they will mail me the refund check for it. And he's so professional. And I even told him about that manager, she don't know how to do her job and she doesn't have any character at all. She just standing around and talk to the clerks there in spanish in front of us. How rude that is. No manner what so ever. And she consider herself as manager. This is the second I am there will be last time... The worse customer services ever. Especially as a manager... Never thought those kind of people can be in that position... What a shame.

My fiancé and I were woken up at 540 am by a loud banging on our door. I open the door and there is a black girl rudely stating I must leave. I asked for what reason because she woke me up out my sleep. She's like you are smoking in the room. So I told her that's not true and I clearly don't smell like smoke. So she rolled her eyes and neck and continued speaking with an attitude. I told the lady if I leave right now I want my money back. I woke my fiancé up and told him let's go. We get to the front desk and the lady was very belligerent when I asked her for her managers contact and her name. Meanwhile she called her manager on her cell phone and began rudely talking about me and my appearance and cussing and more.

Upon walking into my motel room, I found trash left in the trash can from the visitors before me. In addition, I discovered burn holes in all layers of the sheets. Under the bed was crumbs and old pieces of food and other items. The room also smelled like smoke and we were staying in a non-smoking unit. I have photographs and would appreciate a curtious refund for my troubles.

As laying down for the night i kept get gettin bit ams scratching this was happening around 1:00am jump out of thbed and turn on the light there was bugs coming out of the pillow cases amd behind the bed i got bits on my shoulder, back and butt. Upstairs in a nonsmoking room this so not cool I thought motel suppose to be clean thats bad that was like that this time went to go tell they switch us rooms
refrigerator and staff
Very loud vibrating fridge - caused problems with my health. Reported problem yesterday, the day I arrived, and asked for it to be fixed or to be moved to another room. The following morning I informed the front desk that the problem had not been looked at and that I had unplugged fridge to be able to sleep but have food items that needed refrigeration so plugged it back in. Again I asked for it to be fixed or to be moved but staff would not move me and said maintenance would get to it when they could. I went back to room 148 and on the way witnessed maintenance picking up trash in the parking lot. I waited as long as I could but the noise caused an autonomic nervous system reaction and I started sweating profusely and got vertigo (dizzy). My face was rebuilt after a auto accident many years ago and loud, high pitched sounds and direct bright light cause my body to react. I went back to the front desk and was told maintenance would get to it when they could (basically trash is more important that a guest's physical health). The lady at the front was not nice so I chose to leave in the interest of my health. I ask that corporate review the front desk security video which shows I was sweating profusely, was very pale and was obvious;y having a medical problem. The lady at the front desk was not nice so I felt I had no chose to leave this motel in the interest of my health.
I have already received medical treatment and may have to return for more - my attorney has advised me that I had the legal right to leave based on the negative effect on my health and the hotel not addressing made my condition worse.
I have stayed at other Motel 6's and have never had a problem or been treated this badly by Motel 6 employees. I am requesting that 100% of what I was charged be refunded to my card - I only stayed the first night and the result is a serious medical problem. It will take medication and several days for my problem to subside. I also had to cancel a job interview scheduled for the afternoon due to my medical condition - this is not acceptable and the people involved at this Motel 6 should be held accountable and advised of the repercussions of not addressing a medical or other serious issue in a reasonable time. Doesn't Motel 6 reprimand or terminate employees for treating your guests this way?
FYI
I have never been treated as badly by any employee of any other Motel 6 I have stayed at as I was by the Motel 6 employees at the Fort Collins Motel 6.
I would appreciate a prompt response and verification that charges have been removed. I also request Motel 6's legal department phone number per my attorney's request (should it become necessary to pursue monies paid to Motel 6 in Fort Collins and possibly medical bills associated with the problems with my health this situation caused). Nasty and rude employees who refused to help make this an issue worth pursuing (Motel 6 has cameras recording all of this, correct?). I know this is Colorado but I have never been treated this badly by any other Motel 6 employee,
price and had to pay for internet.
We arrived in big bear, ca. We checked for vacancy, they said the price would be $200 because of october feast, so what that's no reason to gouge people. We were taken back, we thought that the rooms at motel 6 were suppose to be cheap af. We had no choice every thing else was booked in the area. Also I had to pay for internet which is usually free in motels, and the connection was very very bad. There was no coffee in the room and no shampoo in the shower.
motel 6 dania beach reservation process
I had a reservation for two nights in the Motel6 (confirmation number:376MS47139) from the 3rd of November till the 5th of November.
When we arrived on the 3rd at 8 pm, Mike at the reception told us : we are fully booked! and we don t have a room for you !
We arrived from England and they left us without accommodation!
By the law they have to arrange alternative accommodation which they did not!
We had to book another hotel for two nights which cost us 421.8$( Motel6 cost was 190.9$), plus a Uber ride at 6.31$.
For this trouble the Motel6 put us through we had to pay extra 237$!
I am requesting the refund from Motel6 for my extra expenses of 237$ because Motel6 made a mistake with my reservation which means they should not have sold my room after it was confirmed and booked under my name!

I could not find a law for the state of Florida that stated that hotels/motels are required to provide you with alternate accomodations, but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist. If anything, all I could find was that these businesses (public lodging establishments) are legally allowed to refuse service to anyone as long as it is not based on race/gender/etc.
Regardless, it's likely that at most what they could offer you would be a discounted visit in the future. They can't refund you for money they didn't charge.
I'm not aware of the law, state or federal, that requires the motel to do so. Can you please provide the reference to this law? I'd like to sincerely look it up.
The user said they're from England. I wonder if this is a law there. Not that it isn't in Florida, just something I wonder.

I stay at Motel 6 pretty regularly and check my name Carissa row I have stayed all the way through Texas and Oklahoma we made reservations through Oklahoma City and the place is terrible there is no glass or hole in the peep hole everybody can see through my room and hear everything I say there are game bangers outside of my room at my truck got broken in two by one of the fellow people stay here at the hotel I asked for the stuff that I saw them take back and tried not to call the police ask for the office to do something or switch my room and they were very rude and unhelpful they refused to switch my room they refused to give me a refund they wanted to be the cause a big scene the lady refused to even give us quarters to finish washing our laundry I don't feel safe here and I do not suggest anybody ever stay here.
You should still contact the police and file a police report.
death mattress
Went to get up and the back of my leg was sliced open. I find a spring poking out of the side of the mattress. Front desk tried to offer me a bandaid...obviously required more...but ALL THEY HAD in the first aid kit. I stayed for a bit longer till I was cut on the finger by yet another spring! I left and got a refund but really...a sorry is all? What is being done about this mattress and who is paying for my tetanus shot?!
cockroaches!!!
Its 7:30 in the morning right now, I drove into the Van Nuys Motel 6 last night at 12:30 am. I was so exhausted. When I got up to pee there were cockroaches all over the floor. I was tired I got on the bed and dozed sitting up until I woke, and got up dressing stepping over them and disgusting!
Clerk argued with me about how bad they were and I left.
I am very upset. Seeing that your slogan leave the light on meant so that the Cockroaches hide at this Motel.

the early morning hours of Saturday the 4th of November 2017 I returned to my room and to no surprise was locked out once again. I went to the office to get another key and found that the doors were locked and a note said, won't open till 5:30 a.m. so I had to wait outside for over an hour and chill the woman finally came to the door and I locked it at 5:25 a.m. the moment she saw me she said I can't open the door because my system is down and I can't do transactions. I explained to her I wasn't needing a transaction I just need it in my room. I was very irritated as you can guess and heard offensiveness made it even worse. She's the only desk clerk that does this all the rest of them have the doors accessible throughout the evening an early morning hours as we live in a town with very little crime. I have been using this Motel 6 since 09 and I've never had any kind of trouble like this. Later that morning I was informed that they would not take my my rent money for the day because... they couldn't tell me why. Or wouldn't. I already knew what the trouble was the moment that I heard they would not extend my stay. The woman somehow has had me thrown out of here because I caught her taking an extra long break as she always does. Furthermore when I asked the woman's name so that I can put it in this report I was told .. we cannot give it to you. So whoever was working the desk on the morning of November 4th of 2017 is solely responsible for me and my family being tossed out with no car to get us and our stuff anywhere else with only a few minutes notice. So this is my complaint on the female that was working the front desk on said morning. This is very unprofessional and I'm not so certain that it's not racism. The woman clearly had an attitude that I was waiting for her to open the door. I've done nothing wrong and it breaks my heart to have to put my family in the street because of the people working here. I hope you have some kind of disciplinary that you will affect this individual's life as much as she has affected mine. Thank you best regards

i checked in to day and at first it was going good in till the people above me got here and they got 4 kids and a man and women it was so bad i went to the front desk to tell them abort the issue with all the noise she was so rude i host most asked for my money back and went to a different hotel it is now 11:10 pm and still very loud and all night doors have bean slabming shut and thats very loud you cant even sleep with all the noise its friday 3 2017 and i got this room in till monday i may just want to check out and ask for my money back and go some where elase my email is [protected]@gmail.com my cell [protected]
infested with roaches
I am visiting from Chicago and brought 3 additional guests with me. 11/2/2017, I found a roach in my room and took it to the front desk. The desk clerk gave me a discount on my two additional days and at that time offered to move my room. I declined because it was one incident. However 11/3/17 I woke up to a family of roaches two in the bathtub, two on the bathroom floor and one that ran under the refrigerator. I call the front desk and they started talking about the room they offered to change yesterday. I didn't care about yesterday I was battling roaches this morning. This room was over $100 per night and roaches are unacceptable! How about extermination! They were also in the lounge area near the microwave.

my family and I stayed at the motel 6 in Gatlinburg TN from Sept 28-Oct 1 2017,
* the front desk was really rude, I work for the state of TN government and asked if I could get a government discount, the last time we stayed there the woman at the front desk gave me a discount, and the guy even said he was the owner of the motel, anyways we paid for our room and went to unpack and get a bite of food, when we got to the room, ( don't get me wrong, the was nice and big) but we noticed a few bugs on the floors, I didn't think much of it, just thought we might have let them when we unloaded the car, the next day my wife noticed some spots on her arms and legs and so did my son, I didn't have any on me at the time, we thought they may be allergic to the cleaning stuff so we got some allergy meds and they still didn't clear up, I called the front desk and asked what kind of cleaning supplies you all are using and he said he couldn't tell me that, I was actually upset over how he was acting, idk if the fires affected the building but he shouldn't be that rude to anyone especially a paying and repeating customer, the last time we stayed there we didn't have this much trouble, on Sun the 1st we checked out early and headed home, a couple days later I started to get spots on my legs and arms, so I definitely started to feel concerned, we unpacked and my was putting our clothes in the washer and see noticed that there was little black specs on them, so she immediately went to our bedroom and look in our bed, there was about 6-7 bed bugs that we didn't have before we left, I know that aren't ours because that's a brand new mattress, I get home from work and she tells me what she found so I immediately call the hotel and ask them if they knew about any bed bugs, of course I had to talk to the guy from before, he told me that there was no such thing as bed bugs in that motel, I explained that we found some on our bed at home and they weren't there before we left, he stated if that was the case we brought the bedbugs to the motel and it was our fault they were there, I never felt so irate in my life, I asked if I could get a refund and he said since you paid and stayed there is nothing he could do, I told him the last time we stayed there we didn't have these problems and our stay was peaceful, he didn't even apologize for any of it. If all possible I would to have my money back, this is unacceptable and unprofessional!

Checked in on 10/20 at Studio 6 in Anaheim, Ca.I spent 10 min trying to get the keys to work. Had to be re-programmed. Went back to room and got in fine. I went out for a few hours and came back and could not get into room again! Had the lady at the front desk try and she couldn't get it to open either. Had to call maintenance guy at his house and waited in the lobby for 45 min. He got there and got it open right away, but all told, I spent and hour locked out of my room. When I told the manager about this at checkout, she offered no apology and offered a whopping $5 off for my trouble. She pushed a few buttons and said it would be refunded on my card. 11 days later, still no credit. She obviously just lied to get me outta there. While I was in complaining, there was another lady doing the same thing about her room! I have retired here in the last year and plan on doing a lot more traveling. I have used motel 6 before because of their affordability and accesability but cannot continue to frequent your motel if people like this are in charge and don't provide decent customer service or compensation.

First of all they put me in a room which was not clean. Then they moved me to another room that was a non smoking room. It had cigarette burns in the covers. There was black mold all in the shower floor. It is a health risk. And i have copd and asthma. Breathing this can kill me. Also the air. /heating unit wailed like it was dying. All of this cost me near 60 bucks.

I checked in at motel 6 off Cerrillos road 3695, the female helping me was unpleasant and rude, as I checked in and found when I got to my room unclean sheets on the bed, hair in the sink and tub, the heater wasn't working, I called and asked if I could get clean sheets, her response was no one was on staff to change the sheets, and she can't leave, to obtain clean sheets, I traveled all day and my bad knee was acting up, so I just needed sleep, I went to the front and the same message was relayed, but this time a discount of 5 percent, which was a joke, asked for a different room there was none, yet as I walked back to my room I must've past by twelve rooms unoccupied and I called and asked why I couldn't switch it was eight at night, but she just relayed I'm the manager and those rooms are upgrades and if I want to pay additional ten dollars I can move, what is with her, but the next day I found the day crew was pleasant and helpful, I stayed another night,
power outage & no customer service
No compensation was offered when we had an unfavorable experience at the Colchester VT property located at 74 South Park drive. Woke up learned there was a windstorm that affected property lights and tv and washer and dryer repeatedly going out due to some substandard code issue with the electrical. Spoke to front desk agent regarding the outlets and lights not working and not being able to do my laundry and they had no resolution for matter.
Stay has been unpleasant so far. On our 3rd day here and nothing but issues.
motel 6
My girlfriend and I stayed at holbrook az motel 6. She has serious health issues lung and breathing heart ms etc. It was miserable no ac at all. Desk said oen window if she cant breathe. We stay at lots of hotels across the us. They wouldn't even offer her a refund. Since I stayed outside most of night. Very upsetting.

I had stayed at the motel "midtown" in Albuquerque, NM for four nights. I have a service animal, trained to be off of a leash due to I have a disability requiring her to be. She does not leave my side, on the afternoon of Sept. 21, 2017, I was walking to the office, with my animal in attendance. The manager/whoever he was, walked toward me, my animal alerted, not approaching the person. He demanded she be on a leash, I tried to explain her job, he wouldn't listen, so I turned and returned to my room. The next day I went to extend my stay and was refused a room because of the incident. I called the customer complaint line, was told to expect a call back, and 4 weeks later and eight phone calls, there has not been any response. Love to see people above the law.
