My Name is Neo and i have serious complaint about what happened to me on Saturday afternoon at Mr Price Home at East Rand mall
I walked in to buy a few things then kindly asked 1 of the gentlemen who work there to help me get a Duvet inner from the top as i could not reach. he called out another gentle man who wasn't wearing uniform to come and assist me. as soon as I was done i went to pay. as I was about to leave i noticed my cellphone was not in my pocket. I went back to the guys who assisted me to aske if the y had seen it and they said no. i quickly asked for a phone to try and call my phone but it was off.
I then quickly rushed to vodacom to have it blocked but when I told them what had happened they told me I wasn't the 1st customer to report a stollen phone from MR Price Home. I then went back to the store and asked to speak to the store manager. I asked if I could see any video footage of the store to get my phone and she said they don't have any camera's in store. she continued to tell me that i was not the 1st person to have a phone stolen in the store. my question is if this has happened to other people before why the hell do you guys not have proper security and cameras in the store?Why the hell do have "employees" who are not in their uniform assisting customers?
please note that the phone that got stolen in your store was a Samsung A5 2017.
I will give you 24 hours to reply to my mail until I go and open a police case against the store and take this to twitter.

HI, I purchased items at Mr Price in Graaff-Reinet on Sunday, 23 July 2017. The lady at the till was not very friendly and when I paid with my cc she asked me to sign the slip. I asked her why if it clearly says "No signature needed". She flat out ignored me. I had to ask her again and again she ignored me. I then asked her why she was so rude by not answering my question on which she said that she was tired of answering that question because lots of people asked her the same question and that the orders come from head office, then she walked away. I as the Manageress who was standing there the whole time not saying a word, why she allows her staff to treat customers in this manner. She did not even look at me. She then said to the lady in question, "Vra tog net onverskoning". I said to them that they can not treat their customers in this manner and I walked out.
I live in Graaff-Reinet and unfortunately this is not the first time that I have seen her treat people this way. I am sorry to tell you this but I will not go there again. I will rather order my stuff online or visit one of your PE stores instead.
I need you please let me know what the outcome of this matter is.

I purchased an item online on 9th July 2017 and chose the store economy delivery at an additional R5.00. This should be delivered 5-7 working days as per your website, it is now the 27th July 2017.
I have been to the store in Adderley Street on two occasions to check and nothing arrived.
I have ordered online before and this has never happened. I am now rather disappointed in your service and will now think twice about ordering online if I have to wait more than the stipulated time as stipulated on your website.

Someone opened Mr Price Mobile account using my details fraudulently, I reported that matter last month after I was billed, provided Mr Price with all the correct details needed, Ms Zama Nyuswa handled the investigation, I was informed on the 19th July of the findings of the investigations were I was exonerated, told that they will reverse the airtime purchased fraudulently on my account also cancel the mobile contract as it was found that I was not party to those transactions. On the 25th July 2017 I was phoned by Michelle from Mr Price collection Unit regarding the mobile account I informed her about your investigations findings however I was shocked when the amount of R908 was deducted from my account by the collection unit given your findings. I am saddened and inconvenienced by the treatment meted to me by Mr Price and its agents with regard the whole matter .I feel violated by Mr Price and the person who fraudulently transacted on my behalf .I have been a trustworthy Mr Price customer for years, I don't deserve such harassment and invasion on my personal bank account without my consent while I provided you with my full cooperation and valid findings done .I don't want to reverse this illegal deduction on my account by Mr Price with my bank however I hope you do the right thing by apologising for what you have done to me, I made several phone calls wasted my money to phone, time to attend to the matter, emotional trauma also unwarranted financial deductions, how do you expect me to make ends meet or pay my bills while you deducted my money like that.

I would like to express how disappointed and irritated I am with Mr Price, I have paid up your card, filled up a form at Mr Price retail crossing and asked them to close my account as I want nothing to do with it anymore, but I still receive invoice emails from you guys, suggesting that I owe your firm R80, I have no idea what that's for, but according tot my knowledge the account is closed and done for, I also left the card with the ladies, of which they destroyed it. Good day. I am very thankful for your low prices. But the quality this year is very bad. I bought winter t-shirts from Mr Price Sport in Menlyn after one wash the needlework was loose and left several holes. This month I bought 2 one-se pajamas nothing was wrong in the shop but after one wash again it was opened between the legs on the side and the arms. I bought a couch online, contacted mr price home because i was not happy with the quality, requested a refund and arrangment of the couch, it has been two weeks now i keep on doing follow ups to find out when will the couch be collected, because i dont want it to be damaged, i was told the couch will be collected on the 21 july 2017, no pitched i called again, couriers told me they will collect the couch on 22 Jul 2017 no came still, i am highly disatisfied with such service and the money i have to spend on airtime in doing unnecessary follow ups. I have tried several times to cancel MR PRICE 360 degree insuarnce and sim contract which they nver assist me with. I have sent them mails, called and went to the store but they have not assisted. Im honestly tired and i get a statement with amounts i cannot pay because i cannot cancel the policy and sim contract. I have honestly had enough and i dont know what to do. I bought two onesies for my daugter last week, both of them had more than one whole in, between the legs & under the arms, obviously misstitched. Next time i will rather buy from Woolworths as it is R10 more but will be better quality im sure. She only realised it after wearing it so i cannot even exchange it. bad customer service
I have often just accepted this as the general nature of the store but have become increasingly frustrated at the disinterest received from the staff at Mr Price, Tygervalley branch.
Apologies for generalising but not once have I been met with any form of eagerness, never mind a polite smile, when asking for assistance from the staff. As the store contains a wide variety of seemingly scattered products, it is frustrating to navigate on your own - but I would rather do this than approach one of the reluctant floor staff members.
I sincerely hope that this could be addressed soon.

As a mr price account holder I feel totally humiliated that I was called for an amount of R89 that was due on my account! The reason I did not make payment was because I received no sms or statement via post that a certain amount was due. I tried explaining to the lady that I did not make payment simply because of that reason yet she went on asking me if I could afford the R89, I felt really humiliated and said forget the R89 I will pay the balance of R400 because I dont need this embarrassment in my life! Totally disgusted by the manner in which Mr Price handles these account situation, I will certainly close this account and be sure never to purchase at a Mr Price store after being humiliated in this manner! I had a contract with Mr price.The terms of which were dubious.I did not use same due to excessive billing.Upon maturity I informed them to terminate the contract.It did not happen.Once more I requested same, they intimated that it was done, but still they are deducting the premiums from my account.

MRP Mobile Contract
I am so disappointed with MRP Mobile they have on the 25th April 2022 illegally debited my paid up account without my consent, the account was paid up on the 14 April 2022 when I called them they hang up on me
Then I called my bank to have the unauthorized debits reversed, whatever you do, do not go for MRP Mobile they are not worth it. They even had an audacity to call me and thank me for my payment but felt they also had to get more on unauthorized debits

On the morning of 13 July me and my twin sister decided to look for vacation work at retail stores. We are university students hence we made it our aim to at least drop our CV's at retail stores before we head back to university. A lady working at Jet suggested we leave our CV's at Mr Price as the store was also looking for people. We went to Mr Price and I told one of the cashiers there our reason being there hence we were told to wait. Finally a lady appeared and I explained to her that we were looking for vacation work. She is a black woman( I'm describing her looks as I do not know her name). I do not know what it is that I said but this lady spoke very rudely to me. I do not completely remember what she said but she told me that only one of us can apply. I then asked my twin sister whether she or I should apply. Suddenly the lady had a problem with the fact that I had asked to apply for the vacation work on behalf of my sister too. She told me very rudely in simple words as I do not completely remember that "when I market myself I do it alone and not let someone accompany me". I didn't know at all that me coming with my sister to apply for vacation work would cause so much anger in that woman. I was very hurt not because of what she had said but the manner in which she had said it. It was my first time applying for work the least she could have done was teach me about this matter of "marketing myself" seeing that it was such a big deal to her. Fast forward I was standing there with my sister still waiting for a response thinking that she would take our CV's and not mind the fact that we came together as it was our first time experiencing what it's like to look for work. This lady just looked at me and said "sharp". I was confused hence as I was still standing there and she said it again. That is when I actually realised that she is chasing us away. I do not understand how cruel can someone be and I am very hurt as I feel that my right to fairly apply like any other person for vacation work was violated. I am deeply hurt as I was looking forward to actually work there. As a student it is difficult to obtain everything one needs at university. Me looking for vacation work with my twin sister in order to help out at home was something that I was looking forward too. That lady ruined our day that day. I am very hurt by the way that lady spoke to me but mostly at the fact that she didn't allow us to apply at Mr Price for vacation work. This is what I with my twin sister experienced at the hands of a woman who was meant to assist us. I'm looking forward to hear a response from the company and hopefully the company will be able to assist us.

On the 26th October 2016, I closed my MRP Account and cancelled all insurances relating to the account . Thereafter I still received messages stating that I owe MRP money . Contacted Mall of Africa Branch to find out what is the problem and why isn't my account been closed . They claim that they have misplaced the insurance cancellation form . I then completed a 2nd one which they misplaced again . This year I completed the 3rd form . My account is still active and I have been billed for insurances from October 2016 till date (which I refuse to pay as I cancelled in October and its not my fault that MRP cant hire people who can do their job ) ..Till date I receive calls and messages from debt collections and what not .
This is absolute pathetic service and I would never recommend to anyone to shop or get an account with MRP .
In 3 months from now, it will be one year that my query has not been sorted out . I cant imagine how uneducated MRP staff are ...
clothing sizes
I am not complaining about service of individuals as such but I do have a complaint about clothing sizes Mr. Price have on offer; or any other clothing giant for that matter. I recently purchased 4 tailored chino pants at Mr. Price. Size 36 waist/34 length, which is the longest length they have on offer. However, it is still not long enough for me as I am a tall man. Size 36 waist/36 length would have been much more fitting. I have experienced this as a common problem at all retailers throughout the clothing industry...tall people are simply not catered for in this country. I also didn't have a wide range of colours to choose from as the size I bought were not on offer in all the clours they had, only in the four I bought. The shopping experience for tall people would be so much more pleasant if a shopper could find the right size and length in any colour he/she wanted. I mean what is the purpose of having an account at a shop that does not cater for your needs? I hope to see the right sizes for tall shoppers in more clothing ranges soon. Shoes also pose the same problem. If you wear a size bigger than a 10 then you are out of luck...always.

I had to stand in front of the cashier while she took her time folding a hoodie & there were no other cashiers in sight. When she finally deigned to take the time to assist me, I was TOLD to insert my e-mail address on her screen. I politely declined, as I do not wish to receive unsoliticited correspondence. She sighed & proceeded with the transaction, without even so much as acknowledging me.
I fitted the garment on at home & decided that I no longer liked the colour.
The next day 13 July 2017, I went to Canal Walk.
I was immediately accosted & interrogated at the door by the security guard as to the nature of my visit. I was undecided at to whether I would exchange for another colour or make a return. I then had to unpack my bag & fill in a form and a red sticker. I was so confused & upset with the treatment that I received that I decided on the spot, to get a refund & never to return to a store that made me feel like a criminal. When I got to the till, I had to wait while the security guard sauntered over with my purchase. The cashier proceeded with the transaction & I had to wait again, while the supervisor made his way over. I was then TOLD to insert my telephone number on her grimy screen. I inserted my landline number, which would not take. She then TOLD me to insert a cell phone number. By this stage, I was quite annoyed with the treatment received. I said that I do not wish to received unsolicited SMS messages. She told me that I HAVE to give a cell number, and called the supervisor again to "just deal with this customer". By this stage, other patrons of the store & the other idle cashiers (at least 10), where taking note & watching the whole interaction. When I was handed my cash, I walked away, only to be accosted at the door again. The supervisor threw the slip on the security desk, for me to sign, where he shouted at me to speak to Mr Price, when I was trying to tell him that they have just made certain that I will never shop at your establishment again.
I have never been treated so poorly before. I am appalled at the service & deeply disappointed as I used to be a regular shopper!

I made my online order on the 05Jul and paid for it on the same day and I waited for it to clear.
I then followed up with the customer care department and they confirmed having received the proof of payment on the 07Jul.
I checked my order online and it was on processing status with Dot Couriers.
Today is the 12 Jul and it is exactly 1 week and I have not received my order and it is still being processed.
I have been calling the customer care number and speaking to Lestor and Samantha and they promise to follow up and sort it out but nothing has changed.
It is very disappointing, as a very long standing Mr Price account holder and a loyal Mr Price customer, my query is not being attended to, seems no one can help or no one seems to care, as long as the money has gone into Mr Price account.
Mr Price promises to deliver within 2-3 days for a store to store delivery, 1 week later still no delivery, my order status has been stuck on the processing status since the 07Jul.
This is such bad service and is unacceptable, and please Mr Price do not promise what you cannot deliver, as this is such an inconvenience to me.

I was at MRP today at 15:21:01
There is ALWAYS a queue, even though the people behind the counter outnumber the people in the queue.
The R49.99 beanie I was buying wasn't scanning, Khomotso Sathekge as it appears on my slip had to printout a barcode, the printer is on top of the counter, he printed the little barcode on an A4 piece of paper. it was not just him, 2 other people were also printing stuff, and the portal through which the paper printout comes out of is facing the customers. It would have been quicker for me to get another beanie for him to scan. Anyway he doesn't even say a word to me. Then after that he needed 'authorisation'. The counter is so cluttered with shopping baskets, clothes, papers, adaptors in the open. Some of the computer keyboards have no letters.
Going to this MRP is always such a bad experience, the only place with good service is the change rooms.
Then the person next to me wanted to pay wanted to pay on the account but there was a huge debate among the tellers as to who was able to facilitate a purchase on credit.
Suggestions
-Update your software to make paying faster
-Have proper barcodes or scanners that work and keyboards with letters
-People on shift must all be able to service cash and account clients
-Remove everything that's on all those counters, declutter the counters

Im a valid card/account holder of a mr. Price card. Ive asked in the past that i would like a account limmit increase witch was also denied for no valid reason.. ive asked for the past 2 years for an account number so that i can do an eft payment to avoid to stand in long cues... ive been to your harrismith branch today to apply for a joint card for my wife and i and i was asked [protected] questions and still didnt get anywere. If you dont want me to support your store anymore thats fine with me and i would pay the balance owed and close the account and do my buisnes elswere.. your call.
