MyCity Social is a really bad company with unfair and sneaky practices. You sign a contract with them for a whole year, and when that year is up and you cancel, they start bothering you with a collection attorney. They want to get even more money out of you and scare you by threatening with a collection attorney.

Ive been working with MyCity Social for a little over a year. My account manager, Brittany, has done a great job with my Social Media accounts. Ive also seen a large improvement in my *** presence as well. This has taken a lot of stress off my shoulders.I plan to continue working with them for many years.

MyCity Social got us up and runnin in no time. Very responsive and detail-orientated with excellent communication skills durin the whole process. We have had such a great experience since day one. We went to them at first for some website updates, but they analyzed our needs and showed us how we could make the most of our limited resources. This company is a fraud. None of the services they offer are actually complete or even attempt to resolve the issue. The owner of the company is a liar and a scam artist. There's over 50 reviews on the ComplaintsBoard.com with complaints regarding this company. Unprofessional, misleading, and fraudulent business practices are their standard. These are just a bunch of crooks. Be careful doing business with this entity. They are the most unprofessional, untrustworthy, and incompetent company you can deal with.

We hired MyCity Social to improve our SEO back in 2018. It took a bit for us to start seeing results, but the results we've seen have been beyond what we expected. We're getting way more online leads than ever before. We hope to keep seeing more each month. If that happens, we'll be a happy client for years to come. Right now, we trust them to handle all our online marketing stuff and help us grow our brand and customer base. They're always helping us try new ads to reach new people. I would totally recommend them!

I can only give Mycitysocial two stars. I signed up for 6 months in November and had a guy named Zachary *** as my admin for advertising my real estate business. But when there were only 6 weeks left on the contract, Zachary disappeared without telling me. They kept switching people as my Facebook admin and contact person, which made it hard to keep track. When I finally had the chance to talk about ending my contract, they told me, "Oops, you're too late to cancel. You'll be stuck in this contract for another 6 months." I was really upset because the cost was overwhelming me, and I argued that I couldn't reach them in time because no one was assigned to me in between. In the end, I had to pay an extra $750 to get out of the contract. I feel like they tricked me by not having staff available to talk to.

I signed a contract back in July for my business to handle social media posts and my website. The website took over 5 months to complete. The service was poor, as I had to constantly tell them what to do. It seemed like they had no idea what they were doing. The Instagram posts were even worse. Different people took over my account and kept asking me the same questions. They made cartoonish templates for my energy and protein bar, which didn't match my brand at all. They just reposted my old posts. I had to take all the pictures and provide them with content because they didn't bother to understand my business. They were persistent in getting me to sign the contract and came to my business several times to discuss my expectations and what I wanted. However, they never met those expectations. They charged me for months and months without delivering anything on their end. The owner promised to credit me and try their best in December, but nothing has been done so far. My contract ended in July, and they haven't even reached out to address this situation. Obviously, they don't care. Due to the contract, they make you pay if you want to break it. I know more about social media than them. I have been doing all the posting for my business, and the website doesn't contribute much to my type of business. I tried to negotiate a lower fee just to continue with the website, but they overcharged me last month. They haven't credited me for anything they haven't done for social media. They made promises that they didn't keep. I'm extremely disappointed! That's why I don't enter into contracts with companies like this one. It's a waste of money, especially for small businesses like mine. What a rip-off! This is the worst customer experience I have ever had. Companies should look for solutions and always do the right thing. Well, this company doesn't do that. The least they could do is make it right and deliver what was expected. Charging us for months for a service they haven't provided is stealing money. They should be reaching out to every client with updates, but they haven't even done that!

Don't do business with this company! Everything you read is correct. They do terrible work. Once I fired them, they hired a fake firm to sue me for over $14,000, even though I had already fired them within a month. I have constantly emailed and talked to them about their poor work. As a result, I lost three very important sales and had to let them go. After firing them, they hired a fake firm to threaten me. This is a bad company that uses threats to make profits instead of relying on the quality of their work. Save your time and money, don't buy from them.

I hired MyCitySocial.com for marketing, and they said I could try it out for 3 months. But for the first 2 months, they didn't do nothin'. When I tried to cancel, they said I gotta pay over $10,000 'cause I apparently signed up for a whole year. This whole company is a bunch of scammers. The people doin' the marketing ain't even trained. They don't answer any questions. The Google reviews ain't even real. They made their own employees write fake reviews. And the reviews you see ain't even the real ones, they took down all the bad ones. So, customers, be careful! Don't sign nothin' without readin' the fine print. They're runnin' a legal scam.

MyCity Social I got a call from a sales guy at My City Social

I got a call from a sales guy at My City Social. I told them I already had an SEO company that ain't doing squat. My city social sold me a dream of being on the first page for real and how they gonna boost my website's ranking. But all they did was make a basic website for me. I'm shelling out $645 every month and getting zero SEO support, not even a peep from them. I signed a one-year deal and know I gotta pay $645 each month till it's up, but when I called to cancel after the year, they said it auto-renews unless I send some fancy letter and follow all these crazy steps. I didn't agree to forever, just a year. They're using shady tactics to trap customers into paying big bucks for their lousy service.

MyCity Social After being a customer for a couple of years, they all of a sudden sent me to collections without even reaching out to me

After being a customer for a couple of years, they all of a sudden sent me to collections without even reaching out to me. When I went to my bank statements, I was charged $100 weekly like agreed by Dawn. March 11th, they stated that the payment bounced due to the bank account being closed, but I still have that account open so I don't know why. So, I was sent to collections and received a call from a debt collector stating that I owe over 5k, which doesn't make sense. Either way, why would my account be in collections from 1 payment of $100 is beyond me. I tried calling them to figure it out, and Dawn B was so rude to me on the phone and then told me she could not talk to me since it was in collections. What I don't get is I just spoke to my social media director from the company like two days ago, so I'm just confused, and nobody in the company can tell me what's going or trying to. Customer service with this company is horrible. Beware.

In November , I signed up with MyCitySocial - Digital Marketing to help promote my business, Tina's Original Cakes. We agreed to pay on a weekly basis, and we always made our payments on time until our agreement was ended in January . The reason for termination was because MyCitySocial didn't fulfill their promised services. They received and acknowledged the termination when their CEO called us after we sent them a notice. This phone call proves that they received the notice and didn't fix the issue.

After the termination, a collection agency called Tucker, Albin & Associates (Law Firm) started bothering us and even threatened legal action, which negatively impacted our credit history. We asked for proof of their claims, and the law firm sent us invoices with amounts that don't match the original contract. Even worse, these invoices were for services that were never provided and were outside the timeframe covered by our agreement.

I contacted the owner, Andrew, many times to let him know that I'm not happy with the services his company provided my company so far and he hasn't fixed the problem yet. I contacted him many times but he stopped taking my calls. I decided to use another number to call him and he finally returned my call because he didn't know it was me. He told me he would call me back that same day and I didn't hear from him for over two weeks. I called him again and he answered this time and said he would call me back the same day to help fix my issues. That was over a week ago and I still haven't heard from him. PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They are a scam and don't do what they promised. I haven't gotten any customers from their ads since January . I told Andrew that I can't keep paying them every month when I'm not making money through their services like they said I would. Instead, I'm losing money and having financial difficulties.

I contact this company for social media services for my real estate biz. They did a terrible job. I talk to Nick and Joe in Miami. I tell them I wanna boost my social media presence to attract Buyers and Sellers of real estate. They say I can cancel anytime if I ain't happy with the service. Then some dude in Tampa contacts me. I sign a contract in September . They assign me an account rep. I meet with him. He can't do simple tasks. He forgets everything I ask him to do. They fire him and give me another rep. He's a bit better than the first guy, but not by much. Then they give me a third rep, a lady. By then I email the company and say I'm canceling my contract cuz their work sucks. The Finance Director, Dawn-Marie B emails me sayin' I can't cancel cuz the contract is for a year. This company is a scam. Their employees don't know jack about marketing. They might be good with tech stuff, but marketing ain't their thing.

MyCity Social On March 30, 2022, I contacted MyCitySocial sales representative, Jonathan N****, to stop using their services, starting from April 1, 2022

On March 30, 2022, I contacted MyCitySocial sales representative, Jonathan N, to stop using their services, starting from April 1, 2022. Jonathan assured me that the service would be terminated in time for my April statement, and that MyCitySocial would contact me via email. We agreed that I would use the service for 3 months, and I made it very clear. The MyCitySocial sales rep assured me that there would be no problem. However, after 6 months, I discovered that MyCitySocial had violated the contract for the following reasons: - Standard SEO: my website did not show up in basic search results. - Website: there were issues with the material used, which I only discovered after gaining access in March 2022. - Google My Business: MyCitySocial did not create the account or provide the service as promised. On April 1, 2022, Jonathan Nunez contacted me to ask if MyCitySocial had reached out to me, but I had not received any communication from them. When I saw the fee deducted from my April statement, I contacted Jonathan to ask about it. He told me to dispute the charge. He left MyCitySocial and was involved in a legal dispute over unpaid services. On May 23, 2022, a man named Seth C contacted me, demanding thousands of dollars on behalf of MyCitySocial. Despite his signature, he is not a licensed attorney in Florida (where I live) or Texas (where his office is located). He called my brother and mother, threatening them, and hung up on me when I called his office to speak with him. The ComplaintsBoard.com has multiple cases where people have tried to end their services with MyCitySocial, only to be threatened by a fake lawyer. These are unethical business practices, and I wish I had known about them before hiring them! DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!

We signed an agreement with this company back in May 2022 for building a website, SEO, MyBusiness, and ongoing marketing support. Result: website launched July 23, then the account manager Gary ghosted on me for over a month without any warning, no response via text or email or call despite trying to get ahold of them. I also received nothing about my website since launch. I reviewed the plan I had signed up for and MyCity Social have not fulfilled them under the standard plan. 1. No form of communication for over a month, account manager switched twice. It went from Brayam R to Gary S to a Todd R in the span of 4 months, no prior communication, warning, or why. They also do not communicate with me when I ask for explanations. 2. They promised to give us results of keyword searches, monthly analytic reports of website traffic, and set-up of MyBusiness account. Since the website launched supposedly, only got 1 SEO report this month. 3. They promised one blog post/ content per month, minimum. Other than cosmetic changes to site, nothing was posted. 4. Upon filing a request for canceling my contract since the services that were supposed to give to me were not rendered, and to resolve this the respectable way, Marco from the firm called and promised me for some form of compromise, agreeing verbally that I had my right to my issues with them and he would seek out an amicable resolution. That was supposed to happen on Sept 23. Never happened as I was waiting for his call. 4. Then I got a "nice" email and phone call from a Dave F from *** demanding that I pay over 9k for breach of contract and that I have only 24 hours to do so, this has been ongoing since last week. This behavior violates the H.R. 5013: Small Business Fair Debt Collection Protection Act §1692d. Harassment or abuse. Furthermore, it creates a negative impact on my business and my mental health. They threaten and bully you, NOT ethical at all.

I signed a contract with My City Social because they said it would be better to sign quickly so I could take advantage of the holidays for my social media. The service was a disaster. I gave the first digital manager extra time to prepare, but the content and graphics were very poor. There was no content creation during the first month, and I immediately lost two followers. The interactions on my posts dropped by 60%, and some posts were only posted on Facebook and not on Instagram. When I complained, they changed the digital manager, but the same things happened. The designs were extremely poor, and I discovered that one post was a copy from the internet. The new digital manager admitted it had zero design work. I have all the emails as proof. When I complained to the director of the new manager, she told me to talk to the digital manager. I then spoke to the lady who sold me the services, and she threatened me by saying I would have to pay 75% of the contract if I wanted to cancel. I think it's unfair to ask for payment when they did harm to my social media. It has been 8 weekdays since I sent a specific email about the harm my account suffered, and they continue to charge me without any reply. The sales manager wants to call me, but I told him I want his responses in an email. He has not replied yet. Today, I sent an email to the owner with the same email I sent to the sales manager, hoping he will analyze it and cancel my contract.

On 02/11/2022, me and Jordan signed a contract with MyCity Social. They came to our office and told us that our website would be up and running in 3 months. We gave them all our logins for social media and our domain name. They started building the website, but it's been 7 months and it's still not finished. I've sent many emails, made calls, and complained, but the team keeps telling me it will get better, which it doesn't. I talked to Andrew, the owner, and he promised that the website designer would deliver. Then Matthew called me to discuss the website and I told him what needed to be changed. He said he would give me weekly updates on SEO, Mega K, and the website. But the service has been poor. I had to tell them what to do because it seemed like they had no idea. Our website hasn't been updated and I haven't received any updates for 3 weeks. The contract was for a whole year of marketing, but they're not delivering what they promised. I talked to the owner, but nothing has changed. They switched me to another account manager, but nothing has improved. It's been 7 months of broken promises. We're paying $1295.66 monthly. I want to cancel the contract because they're not delivering and I have to constantly check for updates and chase the marketing agents. I want them to write a waiver so we don't have to go to collections, as stated in the contract. And I want access to our domain name back because it's ours.
