As a landlord I have used this company for a number of years to provide credit screening for potential tenants. Their customer service has always been questionable, but now they have crossed the line to blatant disregard of their customers; at least this customer.
As in the past, I faxed them a request for a credit report. 24 hours later, they had not responded. After calling them, I was told that I needed to submit a new subscriber agreement and my credit report would be sent immediately. I complied. Several hours later, no credit report. This time I was told that I needed to submit additional documentation; proof of ownership and several proofs of identity. I was again assured that the credit report would be soon forthcoming. I again complied.
5 hours later I received a "report". It was a single number rating from one to five. That's it. No credit report. Nothing even resembling what I had received in the past; and, nothing of any possible use to me. After an email and phone conversation with someone named Brittney, claiming to be the General Manger, I was informed that this was all I was qualified to receive without spending $50 some more dollars (the website advertises a full credit report for $15.95). I demanded a refund which she refused. When I informed her that I would pass this story on to anyone who would listen, she threatened me with a slander suit.
So here is a summary of my recent experience with the National Association of Independent Landlords.
1. Pathetic customer service. A product was ordered, not delivered, and no attempt made to contact me for the additional information they required.
2. Multiple, well documented, phone calls promising me delivery after submission of more information.
3. Delivery of a product other than what I requested.
4. Refusal to provide the ordered product, refusal to refund my purchase price, and the threat of a slander suit if I went public with my complaints.
I don't think I can recommend the National Association of Independent Landlords.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I, also, have been a customer of Nail for two years now. Today I was treated as if I were a criminal because I didn't understand their unwritten rules about an office check. I conduct business from two locations, one in Ohio and one in Florida. I have had an office check done in Ohio. Today, I was accused of unlawfully running a background check from Florida back in April! No one said that each location should have had an office check - each of which costs $60 per year. We argued and she hung up on my. When I called back, I asked for the office manager. I got Brittany again. Brittany, supposedly the General Manager (that is what she called herself...although I have never talked with a general manager who treated their customer like she does), refused to let me talk with her manager or someone above her. She said that she was the top dog of that office and I was not allowed to speak with anyone higher. She than said that she was going to terminate my account even though I am paid up for 11 more months. I told her I wanted to know what was needed and I would provide it. She want to go over the last conversation. I asked that we just move forward. She wasn't interested. She wanted to replay our last conversation. This is typical behavior of a very yound person - one who hasn't learned to let go and move forward. So, finally, she agreed to send me an email listing what needed to be done. I wish there was another organization that offered the same service. If anyone out there knows of one, I am definitely interested.
I have to agree that this company is VERY loosely put together. Every time I have called I get the impression that no one there really knows what's going on. It feels like I'm talking to a a teenager! This company doesn't send any receipts for transactions, only charges your credit card with no break-down of fees. The rent monitoring they gives you absolutely no assurance that they even call the tenant each month and no proof that the tenant has been reported to the credit bureau for late payment(s). I am currently looking for other options as well. I need a company that is professional. The National Association of Landlords, in my opinion, is not what I am looking for.
Took our customer payment and refuse applicable service supported by their frivolous internal rules ... Simply Dishonest.
We have been using this company for at least 5 years. Two years ago our 10 yrs old daughter got brain tumor, we stoped following the rent collection by NAIL. They collected over than $30, 000 rent and did not deposit to our account. It has been almost 6 months we have been trying to collect our money. Again Britney is the one who has been jerking around next week, next week. Isn't it stealing? Why government does not do anything.?!
