Lifetime membership
I have my lifetime membership card dated 2011. I don't recall ever receiving the sticker for the back of the card. I do recall receiving information book, gardening gloves, a kneeling bench, clippers and key ring. I'm trying to locate my membership on line so that I can see what merchandise offers I can buy.

I have been a member of the National Home Gardening Club since April 2006. I paid for a "Life Membership" also in April 2006. I thoroughly enjoyed the products received for reviews in the first couple of years, and the periodicals received, and I learned a great deal more than I had ever known about Gardening. I only today, April 2024 discovered that the...

I recently moved to a new location and was going thru my paper work and found my life time membership from May 22, 2001. Thought great I can get help with this new terrain I have. They sent me the box of different types of yard clipper's to test. They worked great enough that someone stole them. What a shame this company is out and the one that bought it didn't have the compassion for those of us who spent hard work cash without any compensation to an obligation.
In summary I have not received any more test products nor any magazines.
Is National Garden Club Legit?
National Garden Club earns a trustworthiness rating of 91%
Highly recommended, but caution will not hurt.
We found clear and detailed contact information for National Garden Club. The company provides a physical address, phone number, and 2 emails, as well as 5 social media accounts. This demonstrates a commitment to customer service and transparency, which is a positive sign for building trust with customers.
National Garden Club has claimed the domain name for gardenclub.org for a long time, which suggests that the website is established and has a history of being in operation. This is a positive sign, as it indicates that the website has been around for a while and may have a reputation to maintain.
Gardenclub.org has a valid SSL certificate, which indicates that the website is secure and trustworthy. Look for the padlock icon in the browser and the "https" prefix in the URL to confirm that the website is using SSL.

However ComplaintsBoard has detected that:
- While National Garden Club has a high level of trust, our investigation has revealed that the company's complaint resolution process is inadequate and ineffective. As a result, only 0% of 50 complaints are resolved. The support team may have poor customer service skills, lack of training, or not be well-equipped to handle customer complaints.
- National Garden Club protects their ownership data, a common and legal practice. However, from our perspective, this lack of transparency can impede trust and accountability, which are essential for establishing a credible and respected business entity.
- The website belonging to National Garden Club has a low number of visitors, which could be a red flag for users. However, it's important to conduct additional research to fully evaluate the website's legitimacy and trustworthiness.
Return membership money or send what was promised.
I have been a Lifetime Member since 08/04. Received some garden tools, that were suppose to be lifetime guaranteed. They have finally started falling apart. The tree loppers handle broke, the handles on digging tools have gotten loose. I kept in touch online for a few years. Was sorting through some business cards and found my membership card. If they closed their doors it was a short lifetime. I want a refund. I moved since then a few times but I can send my new address and phone number along with my Membership number #9390283.
Are they in business or was this a scam.

LifeTime Membership
I paid for a life time membership for the National Home and Garden Club, and you shut down, stopped sending magazine and don't return calls. I paid online for my membership. My NHGC Life Member Number is No. [protected]. So how about returning my money. I have a new address 3611 Golf Cart Drive, North Fort Myers, FL. 33917. I wish you still had your magazine, I did enjoy it greatly.
Desired outcome: receive my money back, its not much, but I need every penny
Lifetime membership
I joined the "National Home Gardening Club" in 1999 and paid the additional membership fees for this membership. I used to get my magazine and occasionally a products to sample and review. Now I do not receive anything!
I am a charter member RESV#A2#####.
Is the company no longer in business? I have tried to contact them at the 800 number on the back of my membership card, but the message is I have dialed incorrectly and to try again. I call [protected]. I'm not sure what other information that I can submit. Hopefully this is enough.
Desired outcome: If they are still in business I would like them to honor my lifetime membership and start sending the magazine again.
No information!!!!
I have not been receiving any information from this club ! Have been a member since 2002. Please let me know why?
Desired outcome: I would like a response on how to correct this???
National Home Gardening Club
My name is Lynn and I became a lifetime member in February of 1998. I have not received anything from this club since 2013. I was actually concerned that if I would pass away before my husband he would probably not notify the club to end my membership. Apparently none of the charter members were notified that the Club itself has died. I would like a letter of apology for not notifying me that they were discontinuing the club and I would like to be compensated for the last 9 years. The sooner this club does the right thing the better. A gardener never forgets!
...In fact, i received an email from the club on March 26, 2007, asking me to renew my membership, when i had already renewed and become a LIFE MEMBER in 5/2006. Here is what the email said:

I got the cooking lifetime membership, the gardening lifetime membership and there other lifetime memberships and I no longer get anything from them from any of the so called lifetime memberships and I even gave them my new email address and I received a few emails at first from each of them and then all of a sudden I got nothing and the last thing I got was asking to resubscribe.
Same! I agree! I have been a member since 2001 and became a life member in 2006. I have received no notifications, nor anything else from this club. I would like to be reimbursed for my life membership.
Out of business
Website no longer functions and all magazines and offers have stopped.
Desired outcome: Refund of lifetime membership fee.
Life time membership
I joined the National Home Gardening Club in 2008. I paid 300.00 to become a lifetime member. I received a lopper and a kneeling rug and then nothing from that point on. That is a lot of money for a lopper and I really feel like I have been scammed. Then they did not respond to calls or anything, I just want my money back. My membership number is [protected]...

I paid good money to be in on the National Home Gardening lifetime membership where I would receive emails and to test products for free. Where's the Club and where's my money? I have my Club membership number available if needed.
Desired outcome: My Membership money returned
Lifetime membership
In 2005 I became a lifetime member of the national home gardening club. The cost was $226. As soon as I paid the lifetime membership I stopped receiving magazines and no contact what so ever from the company. I was unable to reach them by phone and the website, www.gardeningclub.com was no longer available. I had not received any notification of whether they merged with another company or an offer to resolve this. Very disappointing. I just assumed they went out of business. I came upon some papers about the membership and tried searching again and it lead me to this site.
Desired outcome: Either refund or a membership to other company if they changed
Lifetime PAID Membership
I paid the National Home Gardening Club for LIFE MEMBERSHIP. I was promised gardening gloves, blanket, l, magazines, lopper & other Lifetime benefits. Of which, I received none.
WELL, I am still alive, they took my money & then just decide to disappear?
Amy Sitze was the executive director, at the time.
I will gladly share my membership number in a private email. So, tell me how to email you & I can give more info.
Mary Socha
Desired outcome: Refund
LIFETIME membership
I have been a life member since 2006, haven't received any of my benefits in YEARS. New owners do not respond to requests for access or complaints.
Desired outcome: REFUND
Bought a liftetime membership and have not received anything from them since 2013.
They were to send gifts and items at discounted prices as well as useful information about gardening and all they did was take the money and then nothing. They should have to return the membership fee which was several hundred dollars.
Desired outcome: Refund of membership fee.
The magazine that I had a lifetime subscription t0
I paid for a lifetime subscription to Gardening-How-To Magazine. Then it quit coming. Plus I was told I could keep accessing it on-line. I have searched and can never find it. I have found old articles, on-line, that I can pull up, but they are only the one article. So what is the deal?
So where is the magazine? Where is the on-line address? I have googled many times and always come up empty handed. I want my money back. I paid over $125. for the lifetime subscription. I have an ID# [protected]
I feel like I was scammed.
Sincerely,
RaeAnn Pittman

Totally agree
We were promised many things with Lifetime Membership
But, after fulfilling our obligation & paying the dues, they just up & disappeared! Amy Sitze was the Executive Director & should refund everyone who fell for her promises.
Lifetime Membership
I joined in the 90s, upgraded to Lifetime Membership. WAS LOOKING TO GET SET UP WITH PRODUCT trial and find out the club is extinct. I am all for CLASS ACTION suit if we can get a lawyer on this scam. Why was their no refunds or notifications by the company? I am more than willing to sign on to a CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT if that is needed for satisfaction.

Desired outcome: Reimbursement for membership fee
Same, no product, no emails, no magazines. Took our life membership money and ran with it... :(
Same for me. No refund. I feel I was scammed.
Life Membership
I just found my life membership card and have been a member since 02/99 and now come to find out ther is nothing. I am so made about them taking my money and closing up shop. Some one should have to pay and return our Money to us. We believed and trusted in you and you failed majorly in your job as a company. Because of a company like you I will never believe again.
Robin (Powell) Combs
Desired outcome: Someone should be responsible to pay us back
The executive director was Amy Sitze & she should be paying everyone their Lifetime' dues back
My membership
My name is Anna Gifford and I've been a member of this club since 2000 along with the cooking club The Creative Arts Club and North American hunting club I have become a lifetime member and all these there are all paid off since 2013 I've got my first initial of all of them prizes but that was it I paid well over $1, 000 tree in the three clubs and don't get nothing anymore do not test it out half the products that I was supposed to be able to protest out that's pretty rude and it's wrong if anything I think I should get some of my money back if not at least half of it
