The above is from scout.
*please reply to my 2, yes two, lifetime memberships that have no longer been honored. National home gardening club and north american hunt club.
Both now are part of this scout.com and have no means of magazine subscriptions or honor system.
I, too, am a lifetime member of both the Gardening Club and the Cooking Club, since 1999. As I recall, it was not inexpensive but for a lifetime membership, it seemed well worth the price. We all know how life interrupts what we want to do, so I did not follow up when I stopped getting the magazines and other mail. Over time I guess I forgot about it. Just ran across my Gardening Club card the other day. If they are going to change formats or shut down or be sold to someone else, some notification would have been nice. And no, I don't think I got my money's worth from the membership.
I've been a "lifetime" member since September 13, 1998. The last I heard from them was in October 2000 when I purchased 2 books. I have bought 37 books from them. Not a word since. If a lawsuit gets started please include me!
I've been a "Life Member" since 2004. My email access has been denied. Please add me to the long and growing list of disappointed members.
We all seem to have the same or similar problem. I don't like just giving a company a few hundred dollars for a few magazines. I have been a life member since 1999 and still kicking. Any lawyers here? kate.somogyi@yahoo.com
I'm also a lifetime member since 1996. I have moved several times since and kinda forgotten about it until I was going through some old boxes today and came across my membership card. So I did a Google search to see what was going on with the club and came across this web site. Sad to hear that it no longer exist. I did a lot of product and seed testing. Still have the books and most of the plants, I've made sure to take them with me every time we've moved

I also just came across my membership card and also the National Cooking Club since 2004. It was expensive to join and I did not realize they had stopped communicating with me till I found the membership card. I can't believe that some Attorney General from one state or another has not looked into this. I think they made off with a lot of money from a lot of us. I do hope they get tracked down and are made to make some kind of restitution to all that has lost money on this scam.

I do paid for this membership I also paid for the cooking club of america I paid like $300 or more for both clubs like over $600. I just thought about the clubs when I was outside gardening and was looking as to how I can change the address for my account bc I have moved twice since I have gotten anything from them. So I haven't seen anything from them since way before my husband died 6 years ago. I am kinda upset because that's ALOT of money.
Well, I find I'm in the company of a lot of fellow gardeners who've been buried in the woods! I am a lifetime member since March 2004. I guess it was a shorter lifetime than I thought. Sad, the magazine was good and the trial tools OK. But they seemed to just disappear and I forgot them until I found my card and started to look for them again. Bad business, no follow-up and a rip-off.
Looks like I join many other lifetime members that are left out in the cold. I joined National Home Gardening Club in 1997. I only received a set of gardening tools to test. I loved the magazine. I discovered my card while cleaning the desk of old papers and decided to see what was new with them. Sadly...just taken advantage of. They no longer exist and I never received a mailing of any kind from them. Would be nice to know that they should give out some compensation to all of us who paid a pretty price for the membership. karenbran@aol.com
Yes I also paid for a lifetime membership and received nothing
Same problem here; paid for lifetime membership & nothing happening. I, also, joined the National Cooking Club for a lifetime & don't receive anything from them either. I lived in Minnesota at the time I joined both clubs & I thought Minnesota people are so honest, this will be a nice thing to join.

Yes, I joined and paid for a Life Membership to National Home Gardening Club on January 28, 1999. I did some testing on products, received magazines, and bought books. Since then, I moved but always kept up to date with everything until a couple of years ago. To my horror and many surprises like many other people, no notification that they sold to another outfit/closed their doors.
Much disappointed.
If there will be a class-action lawsuit, let me know, and I will be glad to be part of it.

I have been a Lifetime Member since 07/97. Received some garden tools, that were suppose to be lifetime guaranteed. They have finally started falling apart. The tree loppers handle broke, the handles on digging tools have gotten loose. I kept in touch online for a few years. Was sorting through some business cards and found my membership card. If they closed their doors it was a short lifetime. I want a refund. I moved since then a few times but I can send my new address and phone number along with my Membership number.
Ditto to all of the comments above by another lifetime member from 2009.
Double Whammy here! Gardening and cooking. Damn.

Add me as well. Charter Lifetime Member of Cooking Club of America and National Gardening Club. mhoward1451@hotmail.com
Yes, me as well for BOTH of these "lifetime membership clubs". It wasn't cheap to join either of them! Yet now it's as though this kind of membership doesn't exist! There's gotta be SOMETHING we can do...?!?
What do we do about this? I also had a lifetime membership since the late 80's to mid 90's. I had forgotten all about it (got sick for a few years) until this spring when I found my gardening gloves with the logo and lifetime member status on them. This is very disappointing.
I have a lifetime membership as well and forgot about it until I saw my membership gloves today, June 14, 2022. I have since moved and remarried. What can I do?
I, also, signed up for a Lifetime membership. What does it take for a Class Action Lawsuit to happen? Any lawyers in this group?
Me too, ripped off.
Life Time Member since June 2001!
I've moved a few times, always updated my address. Now - I get nothing.
Very sad.
The picture I attached was obviously the wrong one.
Here is a copy of my membership.

I joined as a lifetime member back in 1995 and it was not inexpensive, but I thought it was worth it for a lifetime. I enjoyed the magazine and trying out new gardening products. Then everything suddenly ended and it was impossible to get any results, just silence. Eventually I found out it was one of the biggest scams in the U.S. Who ended up with all the money? And why there was never a class action suit? All the life members received no justice! no compensation! Someone got rich and justice looked the other way!
Lifetime member since July 27, 2008. No contact in years. No money back. Nada.
Same here. Wondered why everything just stopped when I too, have a Life Membership. I did enjoy the magazine and tested a couple of products. Came across my card but after investigating and finding the club defunct, I threw it out. I do have some of the magazines and some tools though.
I had forgotten about this company until I ran upon my old membership card and a gardening book. I remember being promised multiple gardening items for testing and free entry into any garden in the US. I don’t think I’ve had any mailings since I paid it off in like 2002ish? Just the stupid binders and cards of plants.

I have been a Lifetime Member since 08/04. I moved since then a few times but I can send my new address and phone number along with my Membership number # 9309283. Are they still in business or was this a scam too.
