On Friday I accidentally drilled through a hot water pipe. I submitted a claim via my Nedbank HOC. I received several SMS advising me the claim No. (C10231029983362) and that their approved plumbers, Brackenfell plumbing would contact me the following morning (Saturday).
By 10am no-one phoned so I phoned the number I was given (twice). No one answered, but I noticed the number was based in Cape Town and I live in Johannesburg! so I phoned the call centre [protected] and had to sit and listen to irrelevant information (and tinny horrible music) before I was automatically transfered to another number. The call was promptly dropped so I had to go through the whole procedure again. I eventually got through and was told I could use my own plumber if urgent which I did. He arrived 20 mins after I contacted him.
Then I was called by the plumber in Cape Town and also by another plumber, Simunye Plumbing Works, another plumber recommended by Nedbank but by then it was too late, the job was done.
