I disputed a transaction for $359 on September 3rd 2019, but It was a miscommunication with my boyfriend and figured out what it was. I paid the payment on August 29, 2019. So I called NetSpend to let them know not to dispute it any longer because it was for my car payment and it's not paid my car will be repossessed. They gave me a claim number told me it would be 5 to 7 business days but the money was never on there. So I called them back now they are saying I can't take the dispute back because it would have been too long and I have to wait until October 1st which is well over a month. I do not understand! This is my money! If my car gets repossessed I'm going to freak. I'm calling in the morning to speak to some supervisors again. But if this is not resolved I will let everyone and their mother know NetSpend is nothing but a scam! They are claiming I couldn't resolve the dispute because it had been longer than 10 days but that's not longer than 10 days. They're really not giving me a real reason as to why I have to wait. Capital One said they never got the payment in the first place. So I'm very upset! Needless to say I will never do business with NetSpend again! Beware!

netspend card locked money froze!!!
I called and spoke with Netspend three days ago about my account! I was issued a refund on my card and they said supposedly it was locked due to that! I have never had this issue with any other card I've ever had in my life. They still haven't resolved this and the lady said 6-10 hours they'd be looking it over and should unblock it. It's been 3 days! WTH Netspend sucks and I will make it my duty to inform everyone at my job of this since majority of them use Netspend - get chime or another card instead. Can't even feed my kid because of them!

Hello I Athena Upshur went to use my card at Burlington coat Factory, I had $62 or 63 dollars on my card.when I went to use it it kept declining.So I came home and called netspend.To my knowlegde found out that there were purchases to roblox a game for kids.I found out my 10yr old was purchasing whatever I have no clue on this game without my consent or knowing.So here I am disputing this matter.I am hoping I dont have any problems as I read a lot of bad things about disputing with netspend my child was purchasing without my knowlegde.The num that was given to me [protected].my claim num is 5447503.

Skylight one/netspend is a complete joke! They randomly locked mine and my husband's account and wouldn't tell us why?! Because they have absolutely no reason! They have the worst customer support service. We worked hard for our money and trusted netspend to secure it. They took every dime! Now we have to go without until next payday! Legal action will be taken... Do not trust this company!

So this one day I was just going to look at my beautiful cash that u got paid for the week until I notice I can't get in so I wonder if there going through some maintenance so id figure just back off and don't worry for 4 weeks. Now I felt like it's time to do something and keeps saying that my account is locked and I've done absolutely nothing wrong. Man I am so frustrated cause all a sudden I can't believe it just happened like wtf the money makes the world go round and round but nah right now it's been [censored]ing lame cuss honestly what's life without money you can't do anything but stay at home . I applied for a NetSpend card about 2 weeks ago. I received an email stating that my card is in the mail. Today, the card still hasn't showed up in the mail. I tried calling customer service but couldn't get connected to them. The NetSpend system stated that it doesn't recognize my SSN. Huh? So where is my account and card? And why isn't my SSN recognized by NetSpend? Why is it so difficult to reach someone who works for NetSpend?

My boyfriend has a personal prepaid card that he hasn't used in over a year. He has loaded $4, 000 onto the card thinking it was still active. Before using it, I tried calling to see if the funds were available for use but it said the card wasn't activated. He called to verify his information and tried to activate the card. The woman said it'll be activated within 24 hours. A day went by and it still wasn't active so he tried again just to be told to wait another 24 hours. It has been 3 days after the last phone call and the card still isn't activated.

On 8/22/19 I purchased a Netspend prepaid card to pay a bill online, I asked the clerks at Walgreens about the card I was told all I had to do was call the number and activate my card and could use it immediately, I deposited all the money I had which is $200 on the card under the impression that I could activate my card and use it immediately. I called the activation line and was sent a link via text to complete my activation, I followed all the steps and was denied activation. They stated they needed to verify my identity. I called customer service since this is a time sensitive matter asked how to verify my identity they said they needed a copy of my ID and a copy of my social security card. I will not provide my social security card on something that is prepaid. I am not asking for credit this is MY MONEY that I deposited on the card. I spoke with a manager who was no help their only solution was to make this a gift card which I could only make in-store purchases with or send me a check which will take 7-10 business days. Are you kidding me?! This is MY MONEY that I need to make a payment TODAY so now I have to wait until they decide to refund MY MONEY. This place is a joke and I will tell EVERYONE I KNOW NOT TO PURCHASE THIS CARD! They need to 1) educate their retailers that are marketing their card about how this process works 2) have better refund options for customer satisfaction 3) have more compassion for the consumer who works hard for their money. They couldn't even provide me with a check number or a tracking number to verify when MY MONEY will be refunded to me. I WILL NEVER purchase another card from or through Netspend and after telling family and friends they won't either.

I bought a NetSpend card on 8/8/2019. on August 9th NetSpend told me there was a problem with my account. They said that I needed to prove my identity. I told them at that time I could not prove my identity until I filed for my new social security card as well as got my new ID from the state of Kentucky. My husband and I had just moved from the state of Maine to Kentucky. My name did I sign up with was different from my married name. I signed up with my previous name and with the address from the home we just sold because we did not have a permanent address yet and I had not changed my social security card yet. On August 10th I got a new ID and a new social security card being issued. I then reached out to NetSpend with my documents they said that it was not good enough. I waited until August 19th when I had proof of my address, social security card, and identification to show my new proof of address and my identity. I was contacted by someone from NetSpend she said I would only need to provide a marriage certificate to show my name change. Even though the letter from the social security administration shows that my previous name was different in a match my social security card. I then sent them my marriage certificate to show that I went from that name to my new name. Then they contacted me again and said that my name does not match my address that is on my my mail. They did not review my documents thoroughly. They then said that I need to prove address for where I was before. I sold that home I have submitted the quick claim deed and the settlement paper from selling the home that is the only male that I have or documents that I have to prove that I had a different address. They have still not released my funds. I was contacted by somebody on August 20th a supervisor and when I explained to him that I've done everything that I can I asked to speak to a manager. He then put me on hold and I was on hold for over 45 minutes until I finally hung up. I do not believe that there was any intention on answering my call because 15 minutes after he said he was transferring me I received an email denying my documents. they have been uncompassionate I am about to lose my truck because that is my truck payment on there and people get married and people change their address everyday it happens. The fact of the matter is I have proven that the social security number, which is my identifier, and my birthday, which is my identifier, and what they ask for when signing up belong to me. I should not have my funds held any longer there is no more documentation I can give them I am ill and this stress is causing me an extreme hardship. I have been in contact with the lawyer am I next steps are the FTC. As well as the better business bureau (which BBB does not back them). I expect my money to be released immediately! This is THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE AND CONSUMER EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD! I WILL NEVER EVER USE THIS COMPANY OR RECOMMEND THEIR SERVICES AND IF I DON'T GET MY MONEY SOON THIS IS GOING TO GET VERY BAD!

atm doubled my withdrawal
I took out $300 from the ATM with 1 transaction. Netspend charged me $600 for 2 transactions. They claimed it was the ATM error. I contacted the bank who owns the ATM. I filed a dispute with Netspend. The error is clear it was not me. The cameras prove I did 1 withdrawal. The ATM reconciliation proves I did 1 withdrawal but 12 days later I am still fighting for my money. The error was with Netspend's computer system. Not that ATM. I've contacted my local Senator because I should of immediately been given a provisional credit as this is a Reg E issue. I still don't have my money, even though Netspend is aware it was their own internal issue. They hold onto your money and ignore you. They are predatory. I will continue to escalate until my voice is heard and they understand this is wrong. How many people have they done this to?

For some reason the account was not accepting my password and now I'm locked out and now I have no clue if this will also affect my card? On July 31 I noticed 721 dollars was taken off my card. And when I called NetSpend cumster they told me they will look into it and I will hear something by the 15 of August. And I haven't got a call or email on what's going on with my money. When I go to my account to check if they said anything on the account, but it won't let me get I to my account because it's been locked for some reason.

July 30th at 12: 55 I received a text message from netspend stating there was a problem with my card. At 1257 am I received another message from netspend stating a block has been removed from my account. Later that morning I'm witnessing 250.00 being withdrawn by a Christopher Eubanks. Then a other 130.00 and the place this guy was drawing my money from charged me 4.95 for a transaction fee. I called netspend on the first transaction that was stolen and while they were cancelling my card this guy was still stealing money out of my account. I filed a police report submitted screensshots of their text messages stating something was wrong with my account and I was told netspend was going to investigate. Well the investigation is complete and netspend didn't find any foul play exact words were no errors occurred. I like getting paid on Wednesday but not to the tune of 399.00. They don't secure your money or identity. They don't report breaches. This is bad business. No more.

I have verified my identity twice and was told that my funds would be unlocked within the hour. That was at 8:45 last night. It's now 4:04 in the morning and I still have zero funds. I'm not happy. That is my only income, I live alone so if I don't get my money, I'm going to be homeless. You [censored]ers have 3 more hours to release my funds, or were gonna have a go in court. I'm not the one you wanna [censored] with, NetSpend. Give me my money, or you're getting sued big time. You're playing with my life, and that ain't right. I was approved for provisional credit of 947.00. Was told it would be in my account on july 22 2019 was lied to getting run around. The ftc was notified and they also said it s to be put in account. You were sued over this . I want my credit today! I've read the ftc report on netspend promising credit but lying and never giving it even when I'm approved for it. I bought this card at family Dollar and I put $450 on it because I have a savings account and I can't buy things online, I went online and activated it and set up my account and then I went to Amazon and I ordered the things that I wanted to get with it and it said the card was accepted, but the next day I went to check the shipping and it said I needed to revise my shipping method, so I went to login to my NetSpend account to see what was going on and it said my account was locked and I tried to reset my password and it didn't send the email and it also said that there was no account under that email, like what the hell, that was a months worth of pay and if I don't get it back or my account fixed I'm going to be calling a lawyer and I'm going to get my money back that way, I then went call customer service and they said that my card didn't exist and that my social wasn't valid, so I emailed them twice so far and no response, I wish they had a number where you could talk to someone who could actually help and not some [censored] robot
My name's Levi, I got an email from the support team and they said I need an ID and bills with my name on it to be able to get my money out, I'm 18 and in highschool, I don't have a driver's license, I still live with my parents till I get out of highschool so I don't have any bills with my name on it, so what does that mean I won't ever got my account back?, All I wanted was to be able to go to family Dollar pick up a prepaid card, and them buy some stuff on amazon and then throw it out, I don't wanna open a bank account with you, I don't want you to send me a personalized card, I just want my account unlocked so I can buy the stuff I have on Amazon waiting to finish being ordered and then throw your card out and go back to buying the card I normally get.

I run a fixture installation crew and a couple of my guys had no way to receive there deposite so I called netspend and added them as secondary users on my account... finally one of my guys deposits came through, then I had trouble flash paying the funds to another card. I called back had the limit adjusted sent him his money. Then all of the sudden I received an alert saying theres problems with my account low and behold I'm locked out cant access my money or my other crew members money it's been a full day of submitting documents and re submitting documents, only for the result of my account to still be locked. I have three of my guys per diem I have to get out and one members full paycheck this has been an awful experience!
