I had hundreds of dollars taken from me on fraudulent charges two states away from where I live. I contacted PayPal Prepaid (2 hours later) they had the nerve to tell me that I could not open a claim on all of the transactions since they were pending and only one had cleared. I opened a claim on the first 50 dollar charge then the ext day on the remaining 6. At this point the people had exhausted all of my funds leaving me with no way to feed my children. So when i checked again the first claim had been repaid and my account was now 40 dollars over, I called the card company back and they were extremely rude and transferred me to managers lines where nobody would pick up. I waited for hours days and days in a row, if they did not transfer me they would just put me back in the queue. So here we are 3 weeks later and I still don't have any word on the status of my claim nor why I was given one transaction back when it was at the same time and location as the other 6. This has been a nightmare and managers will not even speak to me. The last representative i spoke with said 90 days. This is insane, not to mention it took over 2 weeks to get a card. They sent me letters regarding the initial transaction that i received in 2 days, but it took 14 days to get a replacement card? Does you survey in the mail really have such high priority that i get is 10 days before my new card? To top all of this off, since It was a fraudulent claim the 50 dollars they gave me on the second day I could not pull out, transfer, or use at all since there was no longer a card associated with the account. I will never again use a prepaid card. I have lost my apartment, my phone, and my time so thank you NetSpend.
Oh, and to make things even more frustrating outside of being able to get even one single answer, the only responses to my support emails are pre-made templates with nothing other than vague request to keep waiting and nothing more than somone not reading my email and just pasting in a response. I have never felt this lever of anger and helplessness in my entire life. I was a victim by someone taking my money, I can actually deal with that, its not even close to feelings of being a victim that PayPal Prepaid has made me feel. I feel more a victim of Netspend than anything else, how hard is it to make some who was robbed of ever dollar he had feel worse, well you did and I will tell ever single person I know and on my website never to ever use your cards or companies again.

I am disabled and unfortunately my provider stole my NetSpend card and made several unauthorized charges. I am on a fixed income and need the money to make it the rest of the month until I get my next SSI check. NetSpend is telling me that a answer to the disputed charges are a possible provisional credit won't be made until October 26, 2018. I wish something could be done to help me sooner.

Account randomly blocked with well over $300 on card and I became stranded at work due to the Lyft charge being denied! Contacted them and they claimed that there was a suspicious charge. I reveiwed all charges and all were at places I have frequented and used this card many, many times. All charges were by me! They have yet to resolve the issue and as it stands, I will not be able to get to work tomorrow as I use Lyft. I also had charges denied for purchases made for my son's birthday through Amazon! Netspend needs to do something immediately and can not withhold customer's funds! Something stinks here as I see many complaints about this same issue! Netspend is about to lose my business for good.

I've been working my butt off to stay off the streets but you lock my account and I can't pay any bill's, get gas, food. This is my only source of income on this card and for you to take it away from someone for activities that aren't even suspicious is ridiculous. Its outrageous. I had to move over jobs so on top of not having my money i'll have to wait to get paid from my new job which everyone knows takes up go two weeks, what am I supposed to use for money? disputing charges - not being credited
Someone stole from my account several days ago and this has been hell thanks to netspend. I did everything they said to do and i have not been give the credit that i was told i would get until the investigation is complete. They must think i am lying but they are fdic, it says that right on the card which means there is insurance for this situation and i should have been given the credit until everything was investigated. The card has the visa logo on it and visa gives the customers credit if money was taken from them. Having someone go into your account and steal from you is upsetting enough but to not have the bank card you use for years not believe you... Just makes it much better. Any other bank would give their clients a credit. Now i have no money, my account is closed and i cant not use the card anymore. I have nothing and i begged for them to help me out but i get no where. Please do not use netspend. Beware.

Dear sir,
My name is richard blackwell. I have been a satisfied customer for 8 years until 2 weeks ago. I am a disabled veteran with brain abnormalities and many physical diagnosis. I haven't had any income since january 2017. I finally got a check from social security in the amount of $2250/00 and $750.00.
On friday, sept. 1st I went to my usual store #0065 and gave the lady angela both checks signed and showed my credentials. I asked to receive 700.00 back in cash and to put the remaining balance on my card. The transaction went through and I received my money and the receipt and went home.
A couple hours later I went to cubesmart to pay my overdue storage of 409.00 and I handed him my card. It came back stolen. I didn't understand why until my wife looked at the card and discovered it wasn't ours at all. It was a gentleman named andy kimball. I raced back to ace and told them the mistake that I had made and the same teller pulled something up on the computer using the card I had and said "it looks like its being pulled off the card as we speak". Well I can tell you my heart sank and I asked her what could I do. She said there was nothing she could do and referred me to the ace offices. While on the phone explaining that I had just put my money on someone elses card I heard the people on the phone say 'it sounds like fraud on both parties". They told me they would look into it and to call later.
Apparently a friend of mine andrew (I didn't know his last name till later from facebook and determined how this had even happened) was at my house and gave my wife a gift card from his wallet. We can only assume that he dropped his son's ace card in our house, which was identical to mine, and my wife put in on our end table. When I got the check my wife handed me the card and without looking at it (and why would I since it was identical) took it to ace and did the transaction.
Before this was known to me I was on the phone all the time with the risk dept. The fraud dept. Only to find out they first froze my accounts, then unfroze them, and then closed them all together.in the meantime I was asked to send different kind of document which I did. I received confirmation that they were good and when I would call on the status of the investigation they would tell me to send the same documents sometimes adding more that they needed and I would comply.
I then went to ace on havanna to put 35 on my account and it came up closed. I explained to the young lady behind the counter what was going on and she was horrified. She then got on the phone and was transferred every where and she was quite vehement with them. She said there should have been no reason that money would go on the card and to call the fraud dept the next day and after her verbal assault on them I assumed it would be taken care of. More documents.
This time when I called the man who answered was so degrading and accusatory, my wife nearly lost it: he asked:
How do you find a card in your house?
Why would you put money on someone elses card?
Your being investigated for fraud?
Something don't sound right?
Why wouldn't you look at the name on the card?
Do you know the guy who owns the card?
Have you talked to him and have him call us?
The accusatory questions went on and on and he made no attempt to hide his sarcasm. He then asked: do you have proof that you went into ace and made this transaction?" I almost fell out. He then said if I wanted to see some of my money back that I would have to send him proof that the checks were even mine and it had to have an envelope with my address and something saying the checks were mine. I think he thought I wouldn't be able to produce it. I was stumbling over myself but asked him what he meant by some of the money. He only said he couldn't disclose that since it was not my account and send the documents, send the documents, send the documents. He just kept repeating the phrase.
Below are all the documents that I have sent. And now when I call the operator has no idea what I am talking about. Alll they say is my account is closed.
Please help me. I am in dire straights.

This is the letter that I sent thursday. To the president of ace cash express. I ve yet to hear back. However I di dcall the fraud dept again, as per there instruction after sending them the documents they continuously said they needed in order to return the money that is 'floating between accts" and after 42 minutes I was finally through only to be put on hold under the ruse that they were going to go into the file. I was subsequently kicked out and the operator or customer service lady when asked to put me through to fraud (as their instruction) when she pulled it up on her computer she stated that it was on the screen that our phone calls were not to be forwarded to their dept. There is no resolution to this case and the young man whose father dropped his sons identical ace card has been able to get any answers. All accounts have been closed and we are out our money 2250.00! Please explain how, because of a flook, it has cost me the only money I have seen in 18 months.

I purchased the card to use the same night for one online purchase having lost my debit card and not wanting to wait 2 weeks for a new one. After purchasing it, it turns out the card can't be used until after another activation process - even though I've already payed the $60 I used to purchase it. I then tried to activate it, but the website won't load and the phone number provided only says that it isn't working either. I'm thoroughly disappointed. Not to mention I'm not even sure if it will work instantly (or how this works anyways), it says something about receiving a card in the mail. The whole thing feels like a seedy scam. If I would have known about this i would have rather waited for a new debit card. I don't even have the option to speak with someone about it as the website and phone number are inoperable junk.
won't let me use the money I put on new card
I loaded my last $200 on a new card to pay my electricity bill and buy food for my exotic pet online. I called to activate my card and was told that I had to wait for one business day, weekends not included, to get an answer from the recovery department before my card could be used. I needed to pay my electricity bill by the end of the day or it would be turned off. I begged and pleaded with a supervisor to fix the problem and she wouldn't. She would not even put me on restricted local purchases only, that I was first offered, after our conversation went on. I had no way to pay my power bill and shut off that night because of this mess. I have medical equipment that I needed and could not use because of this. I was told that if they do not activate my card that I won't get my money back for 7 to 10 days. This will devastate me financially. I was out of work for 2 months and this was my first check in that time. My pet will not get their food, I can't repay the person that loaned me the money to get my electricity back on, and I won't be able to get gas to go to work. Can anyone please help me get this resolved asap. I am desperate.

Loaded $100, attempted to activate on line, received an error message. Was given a number to call, while attempting to activate, I find that it is no longer at $100 even though that is what I was loaded (already soaking me for fees!) I attempted to check my balance, and they quickly rushed through and before I knew it, charged me a fee just to check my balance! I didn't even have an option to hang up and do it on line where it would be free! Frustrated, I hung up, and attempted to reach the site, which now I am getting repeated errors that the site is down. This time is really crazy .I tried to get gas with my card and it was locked.

direct deposit not accessible!!!
My direct deposit from my employer has been inaccessible for a month! I finally received the permanent card and to my dismay, realized extensive background checks were to delay me from getting to use my hard earned money. I reported the issue and have been working with an eric holder via email to get even just a portion of my funds released. He is slow to respond and over promises things he can't hold up. He says it's a name issue; that my married name is not the same as my maiden name. No [censored]! I provided both my last names and various other information to still not hear a single word since 2 days ago. I have since canceled my direct deposit and will now receive a paper check until I find a good and trustworthy bank.
Don't even get me started on the automated system! You can't even talk to anyone real unless you dial * to report your card lost or stolen. I asked repeatedly to be transferred to a higher authority and he refused and kept telling me there was no direct deposit on my account. Yes there is because I gave my employer the routing number and account number and this is why I can't access my funds, because they are literally tied up in this [censored]ing netspend account! Clear enough for you? Someone at netspend please contact me because you already have a lawsuit filed and i'm thinking of joining the class action. I want my money!
