Shipping
I placed an order to New York and Company and put in an address for billing with a separate address for shipping. When I received the confirmation, it had the wrong address for shipping. When I called them, the CSR stated that they could not make any changes to the shipping. We would have to wait until the package is returned or considered undeliverable. When I asked if my money was going to be returned if the package was returned. He stated that we would have to investigate that after it is delivered. This unacceptable and I will consider canceling my card and no longer using them as my clothing store. I have used them for 20 years. Now, I am running the risk of being out $220 worth of clothing.

So back in November of 2017 I went to the NY and CO store in Knoxville TN at West Tpwn Mall. They placed and order and took money for a shirt I wanted that they did not have in store. I got an email stating the order shipped but the order and purchase number never worked. I reached out 3 times already and have heard NOTHING! This company's customer service is crap! I have been trying to get an answer from customer service since December 1st 2017 as you can see almost 2 months later I sit here with no answer, no shirt I ordered and out my $$$. This is by far the worst customer service experience I have ever had. A simple response would have been nice a simple we are looking into it would have worked but to completely be ignored is ridiculous! I am outraged and will be continuing to call/ emailed ect until I hear back or get my money sent back. At this point I do not want the shirt I want my money and to NEVER shop at this store again which is sad considering it was one of the only places I used to shop!
Use of birthday coupon
I would like to file a complaint regarding the service I have received while trying to redeem a coupon that you company sent to me to celebrate my birthday. I have tried for the better part of two weeks to use this coupon and yet have been unable to do so. I have tried to find something in the one store that is within 300 miles of my home which is nearly impossible considering there is nearly no stock in your store so I am left with trying to redeem on-line. Yet I can not because everything is one sale and apparently even though there are no exclusions written on the back of the card you are unable to use if the item is on sale which of course every item is on sale on line so therefore I am unable to use the coupon. I have tried on multiple occasions to get assistance from customer service both by chat and by phone and am continually treated as if I am stupid and can't read. I am neither. There are no exclusions written on the back of the coupon card. I do not appreciate being spoken to as if I am stupid. I have over 25 years in retail and retail management. I am well aware of how coupons, etc work.
My problem is do not send a coupon to someone that can not be used on-line especially given you have so few physical stores left. If I could use the coupon in store I would but I can't. I should not have to purchase something at full price just to use a coupon. I have been a long time customer of your company but over the years I shop there less and less mainly because you product is not what it used to be and because I am continually treated like then when trying to use discounts and coupons. It is 10 dollars - I mean really. If you are that hard you for 10 dollars you really should not be sending them out to customers. Must less a coupon that is supposed to be a thank you and best wishes for their birthday.
I will never step foot in one of your stores again. I will be filing a complaint with every organization I can think of regarding your policies and I will make sure that any one I know is aware of how you treat customers over a 10 dollar discount.
You have lost a long term customer. You should be ashamed.

I purchased this in November for my daughter for Christmas when she went to return it asking for full price store credit she was told she would get 4.99 well under the amount I paid we weren't asking for cash just the amount paid so she could buy something that fit. She was 7 days over your return policy. Which is by far the worst of any store I have ever shopped in. Especially at holiday time. I will go to discount stores from now on as long as I have my receipt they at least give me store credit. I've done this at places and one thing I returned after 6 months. I will make sure when I see people entering your store I will tell my story! I have had all the tags, bags and shipping labels for her to return these things. I wish you luck but with policy's like this you stores are short lived.

My daughter wore this shirt for the first time yesterday, she is a athlete, so her size isn't the issue. It was a Christmas gift.
She wore it for picture day, for the school yearbook, she's a senior. She a editor. She stood up for her photo, and her shirt, your product ripped open in the back. Because of this, she missed the photo OP. Cause SHE HAD NOTHING TO WEAR.

Within 30 days the die from the clothing come off of it when I called them ask can they replace it they said no I have to call the corporate office so I am going to call the corporate office this is bad service I don't like that . They would not help the customers they make the clothes nice but their service is bad they need to treat a customer better than what they do and now my experience with coat was bad enough it was a birthday present for me I'm very disappointed

Hi I'm Tia Kirk. I'm writing today because I'm a long time Ny&co customer and I'm really tired of the treating customers badly. Prices are much higher, & I recently was told that I could not use my bday$ 15 coupon and take advantage of the stores mass 20% coupon. Horrible! Why even send a coupon if you won't let me honor it along with the sales for all customers. I've spent so much at this store and yet I continue to feel insulted by these situations, along with no longer honoring veterans for the 10% off. No combining coupons and lots of rules with New York cash. It's totally not cool! Also the my sweater recent ripped on both sleeves my first time wearing. Quality has changed yet prices are rising. Stores are emptier than ever. No wonder why. Can you send me some real coupons that I can use please to show that my business is appreciated and to also to wish me a real bday?

I purchased a black poncho in mid October. I never wore the poncho, the tag is still attached and I have the receipt. I decided I no longer wanted the poncho because I do not like the way it looks on me. Today, December 4th, I tried to return it to the Massapequa store I purchased it in. Even with the receipt, the manager told me that it was past 45 days so if I returned the item I would not get the price I purchased it for which was $39.99. She said I would get less than $2.00 for the poncho. Apparently, my receipt expired yesterday December 3rd. I opted to hold on to the poncho as I was not willing to accept $2.00 for it when I had paid much more than that. I am very disappointed by New York and Company's return policy and how the return was handled in the store by the manager. I frequently shop at New York and Company stores, as well as online at the website. I also have a New York and Company credit card that I use often. After this experience, I no longer want to shop with this company and I want to cancel my credit card. This is a very poor way to treat loyal customers. Even more frustrating than the return policy, is the lack of customer service support. I called three different phone numbers in an effort to speak to a representative to help me resolve this return situation. Each person I spoke with told me they do not handle in store issues. I was told the only thing I could do was write a complaint online. I am in shock that a company as large as New York and Company would have such poor customer service. I can not support a company that takes advantage of their customers.

I went to the New York & Company store to buy some clothes for work and I was trying multiple items of clothing and I needed to get another size for a dress since it was too big for me and the minute I walked out of the dressing room to get another size leaving clothes in the dressing room since I was going to be right back I was yelled at and reprimanded by the store employee named Nina. Not only did she tell at me but belittled me basically saying "don't you dare leave the clothes there without hanging them up first." She was sooo rude and nasty that I almost walked out and leave the clothes there but since I really liked them, and I wasn't going to give her the satisfaction. And when I told her I was going to tell the manager she got very aggressive and told me I don't care go ahead! I have to say though that the manager was very nice and professional and apologized saying that she was sorry if Nina made me feel a certain way. But Nina was super rude with nasty and disrespectful attitude and I will never step foot into that store again.

When I saw a door buster sign, i entered store about 12.50 on 11/17/18. i picked up three pair of pants for 19.99 got to the counter, and the price was more. I told the cashier the pants are 19.99, her and two others stated this was not so. The problem is they had several pairs of this one type on the rack of with different sizes. i think its bad business spending all that time in the store to get to the register with false prices and the store attendees acting as if oh well.

I walked in the Little Rock, Ar. Park Plaza Mall Saturday November 10, 2018. I was the next customer in line to return merchandise. The cashier finished checking out the customer in front of me and she just walked away without even acknowledging that I was standing there. I had to say excuse me, then she came and proceded to check me out. She never greeted me, she never asked why I was returning the merchandise, she had a very nasty attitude. My name is Grace Nzameyo, and my account number is [protected]. I purchased a pink suit (style 7688, size 6, Dept 57) at NY & CO about three months ago. I never wore the suit. A few weeks ago I got sick and so I lost weight. I went back to a NY & CO (AT Newport Mall Center in Jersey City, NJ) store to see if I can have an even exchange for the same exact skirt from size 6, to size 4 but I was told that because it's been more than 45 days I could not have an even exchange for a different size. The manager added that all the item is worth at this time is $4.99, even though the same item is worth more in the store. I was surprised because I was asking for an even exchange, same item, still new, never been worn, tag still attached to it, just a different size. I was asked by the manager of the store name Bryant to send you an email while he is holding on the size 4 of the skirt for me while you are making a decision on this issue.
I feel that I have been treated unfairly because I'm not asking for a different item, or that the item that I'm bringing back is damaged, it is just an even exchange. all I'm requesting is for you to help me get a different size (4). I'm a very good customer of yours, and I understand that you have some policies in place, but I
m just asking you to help me and understand that I was sick that's the reason why I lost weight, it was not something that I could control. I hope you can make an exception and provide me with a good customer service so I can have an even exchange.

I have been in your store prior but lines be crazy.So finally I bring my return they tell me its over 45days.I have the receipt & all clothes tag with receipt.i told my mom got sick with Blood clots around her lung & my brother at 53y just found out Stage 4 Colon Cancer. I went to the New York and company tonight and was embarrassingly told by a representative that appeared distressed and very unkept that I couldn’t return my item that were in not worn with tags attached because it was passed 45 days. double charging my debit card
I have a problem with you all double charging my debit card. On 9/25/2018 I used my debit card at one of your stores. I was at the outlet in Colonial Heights, Va I bought three items and was charged 108.37 it cleared my debit card on 9/26/2018. How surprised I was to see that I still have a pending charge for the same amount again on my debit card this will put me in the negative once this is taken out. And to make matters worse I have been on the phone this morning with both the store it self and corporate and both said they can not help me.

Looks like a junk store. I was told by one of your employees they didn't have time to steam clothing before placing in store. I spent a lot of money in your store. Who would want to purchase clothing and have to go home and iron. People in retail and management should care what there store looks like and impressions are very important retail. I work in retail and we have very high reviews because we do care.

I placed an order then I noticed that I forgot to change the shipping address. I called Customer Service and they informed me that there was nothing that they could do about it. I was told that the order was already "processed" and I would have to make the changes when I receive a tracking number. I thought that this was ridiculous considering I had just placed the order 15 minutes ago. I have done this before with another company and I was able to change the shipping address. It is very annoying that I now have to wait for a tracking number to correct the address. My shipping was free with my order and if I change the address I will probably have to pay for shipment. I think your company should be a little more forgiving when a customer makes a mistake.

So I called my sister she give me her credit card number by phone by the way was a ny and company card so upset at that store I returned the item that I wanted to exchange and when home and got the rest of the items she brought me $ 500 of stuff from ny and company took everything back I am telling everyone don't never shop at New York and company
your return policies
I have been a loyal customer for 35 years! I have daughters that are now starting to wear NY&CO clothes. I brought items to be returned at my local store.
All the items had receipts with them.
Because of your insane return policy I could not even get a store credit and i am now STUCK with all these clothes.
My lifestyle and your lack of flexibility with returns has made it impossible for me and my family to continue to shop in any NY&CO. This is very disheartening to me because when I was 18 this was my first credit card and I have shopped there for the next 35 years.
I stand firm that I will not shop in your stores unless you allow me to do my returns for at least a store credit!
Most of the purchases was made on 6/1/18 or later.
