New York & Company credit card

I have been a loyal customer, have always paid my bill on time. I went to do my xmas shopping in your store today and BEFORE I went into the store I checked my credit limit online AND on the phone, After trying to complete my purchase with my NY&CO credit card I was told I had to requalify right there at the register and told me I no longer have credit with you because I was just denied! I went from a credit limit of 2050 to 0 in 30 seconds and I was humiliated in the store! This was NOT on your credit card website that I had to requalify, it was on your website that my credit was in good standing. How do you do this to people? I was never so humiliated in my life! I will NEVER shop in your store again! I just had 5 months of cancer treatments and this is what your company does. Unimaginable.

Incident Date: December 7, 2017

Dear Customer Care Department,

I am writing to make a complaint. Yours is an organization of very good repute. It is known for great customer service, but recently, I came across disappointment with one of your employees.

I have been a loyal customer of your stores for the past 20 years, I have always received great service at your store which is one of the main reasons I shop at your store. But to my surprise, on the date of December 7, 2017, I was at the receiving end of some very poor service at your Chula Vista Mall, California location.

On December 7 my friend and I went to the store because I wanted to buy a whole set of clothes that I liked. Upon entering the store our reception was not pleasant, as the worker told us to hurry because the store closed in 8 minutes, when in fact there were 15 minutes to close. When she told us that, I decided to ask if she could tell me where that set of clothes was but the worker got upset and tell me to wait because she was having a conversation with another woman who was not buying anything and who did not have anything related to her work. Then I and my friend started looking. The employee finished talking and did not offer us help to the contrary she decided to ignore us. Then I approached and asked her what her name was, she talked to me very rudely and told me that she was the assistant manager of the store, and that she was closing the store now to get out, I was appalled at such behavior. Moreover, I told her that I was going to make a complaint because she did not have any knowledge of how to attend a customer and I do not think the company is paying an employee to go and keep long conversations with people that are not buying anything, and not help customers who want to buy.

Moreover, I am not sure her name is Ana because she was not wearing a name tag but she said her name was Ana Suarez and that she was the assistant manager of the store. The store address is: 555 Broadway #1050, Chula Vista, CA 91910.

I am sure that after knowing this incident, you will definitely take some action to educate your employee on behavior with customers which will prevent the loss of your business in future.
As I am sure that sitting on such a higher position in your organization, you must be concerned about the image of your store, I believe I have done the right thing by passing on this information to you.

I hope you would look into the matter, and make sure such an incident is not repeated. Your company has been known to provide good services, and such events tarnish the company name, so please address this issue soon.

New York & Company coupon

I received some NY city dollars from a purchase i made during the Black Friday sale, wasn't expecting that so I was excited to received them. The sales associate gave the details on redeeming the city cash during the dates of Nov 28- Dec 7th. I return to NY & Co this weekend tried to redeem the dollars, but was told I could not since the dollars cannot be applied to any sale item. That may not have been a problem, except every item in the store was on sale, therefore I was told by the sales associate those dollars are in valid. I would like to know what kind of con you are running, I was not aware NY & Co was into deceptive sales practices. To say I am an unhappy customer is a gross understatement. I was shopping at the Willow Bend mall in Plano TX.

New York & Company online ordering

I was on the NY&Co. site for an hour choosing Christmas gifts and personal items for myself and not once was there an indication that the items were no longer available. Imagine my disappointment and frustration when after ordering 9 to 10 items, entered my credit card information, excited about my find only to see "your order was cancelled due to NONE of the items no longer are available"! I was in shock and stared at the screen for a few minutes before I realize that my efforts were in vain. I WAS a huge New York and Company patron; however, after that experience my feelings have drastically changed. I would have been ok if while searching for these items I would have received some indication that they were unavailable.

The manager of New York and company in Brandon Florida at Westfield Brandon mall was very rude to me today she told me I could exit her store if I didn't like the level of customer service given in there then she proceeded to also tell me that I cannot use my 25% off coupon because of the way I ask for customer service which was in a very pleasant way I'm assuming that she was in a very bad mood and took her actions Out on me

I would love to know who has the bright idea of coupons in this store! Absolutely everything is excluded all the time it makes no sense. Do you believe that the customers that shop in your store is stupid? I just went online and 99 percent of your items are NY deals which are excluded. This is the case every time I walk in the store too. Why have them if you don't want people to use them?! It's your company's way of tricking people to come in. Show a little respect to those who shop in your stores.

New York & Company shipping/customer service

I have not received the order I purchased 9/15. I received a notification on 9/16 that my order was shipped. It’s 10/1 and I don’t have my order. The status is still pending. I called C.S. four times and received four different explanations with no definite answer. I asked to speak a supervisor, but the CS rep would not connect me. I don’t understand why no one know why my order has been pending since 9/16. Every time I called, I was told it would 7 to 10 business days from the day I called. Which day? I called four times and all the CS rep can say is that my order is pending. I KNOW ALREADY KNOW THAT. It’s funny that my money was taken out on 9/16 but I still don’t have my order. I need a resolution NOW or give me my money back!

New York & Company treatment at a new york & company store

I was shopping at the New York & Company store in Columbus, GA at the Peachtree Mall location on Sept. 3, 2017 around 2:00pm. I had found my items and I was ready to check out. I was the next customer in line to check out. Ahead of me were two females in their twenties. They were told that they still had some money left to spend during their transaction when they were checking out. They decided to go back out in the store to see what else it was they were going to buy. Instead of the cashier putting their items to the side or doing something else like taking the next customer while they continued shopping, we had to wait in line for them. I had my seven year old daughter with me. After a few minutes, I asked the cashier if someone else could check us out as we shouldn't have to wait until they continue shopping. That then prompted another cashier to come up to begin to check me out. In the meantime, the two girls in their twenties did not like that I said that and began to tell me that "I can wait"! They talked about me in front of my daughter, the other employees and the other people in the store. They said things like " she's gonna make me drag her [censored] in this store", she's too scared anyway", "Honkey", "she don't want none of this" and plenty more! I was embarrassed and disgusted that they were saying these things in front of my daughter. Everyone just stood there and never said a thing! The employees (not once) tried to tell them to stop or call security. They were wanting to fight with me in the store and I knew that I did not want that to happen in front of my child. They finally left the store after saying so many horrible things to me. After they left, one of the employees told my daughter that I handled myself well. All I could do was look at her! None of them did anything to help me!
I would like some kind of compensation to help in the acknowledgement that this should not have happened! The employees were wrong for not handling things right initially in allowing the two girls to go back out and shop and have the rest of us wait. I could see if they were running to grab something but they did not even know what else they were getting and for not intervening in some way. I spend a lot of money at New York & Company and I deserve better treatment as one of your loyal customers!

New York & Company online ordering

I went into your Florence SC New York &Company Store. I purchased items in the store and placed a order with the sales associate for items that were no longer available in my size. I received a order by mail at my home about a week later. The package looked really small, but I thought they maybe they really folded it really good. When I opened the package, it was nothing that I ordered and several sizes too small. I also noticed a print out picture of my items that I ordered in the store, but that was not in the bag. The person who package the the bag didn't take time to check or just didn't care. I immediately contacted the customer service number that was on the packing slip, which has been a total disaster. The rep told me that my package went to another customer and I would have to contact the customer to make plans to get my package back, really! I have been calling since 7/31 and haven't received not one call back yet. I've spoken with Bridgette who said she's the manager and will locate my package and resend it to me, yea right. I just called her today and was told that customer service said they would give me a call to let them know that they were not able to locate the shirt I ordered. Never once has she apologized for this circus and the lack of communication. I've shopped at New York & Co when it was Lerners. I've spent thousands of dollars at your store and to receive this treatment is totally unacceptable. No call backs from anyone and never received my order. It's obvious that the manager needs retraining and the warehouse workers need to be fired. They could careless if you get your package or nothing. Even the store where I made the purchase tried to help, to no avail. They apologized profusely! Why am I calling daily looking for my package? They said today after keeping me on hold that I should have received a refund, not yet!

I would like to hear back from management about my experience. This has been going on since 7/31.

New York & Company customer service

Today me & my daughter went shopping at the Brass City mall in Waterbury CT. My daughter and I love to shop at New York and Company they have the best selection of clothing, but what was supposed to be fun shopping day turned out to be the worst shopping day. As Im purchasing my items the cashier was very rude tried asking questions about the merchandise she answered in a why are you bothering me tone.I also asked her to place some of my items in a seperate bag she had an attitude. slamming my jewelery down on th counter, and also when I asked for a larger bag she got mad and threw the clothes on the counter. Not sure what was going on with this cashier but there is a thing called customer service and she did not have any friendly skills. I also notified the manager and she was extremely passive saying she never noticed anything like that of course because you came at the end of the transaction. I spend a lot of money in this store, and should get better service it felt like there was a little racism as well. Very bad experience with this company today!

New York & Company poor customer service

I am a frequent shopper at your NYC store. Most of my shopping is done online. My complaint is when I return a purchase, your employees are not friendly at all. They do not greet you when entering the store. And when you make a purchase in the store, there is never thank you. This is very poor customer service! I shop at your Valdosta Georgia store. New York & Company customer service & fees

I visited the Fresno Fashion Fair mall store today around 12 noon on 6/29/2017. I spent approximately 30 mins browsing the store and picking out clothes. At no point in time did any associate in the store speak to me. Once I made my selections I stood by the fitting room door awaiting an associate, i made eye contact with one and she waived me on to go on in. I tried on my clothes and exited the fitting room. I got in line and proceeded to the counter. Once there the associate was very blah and not speaking at all. I then asked her if she would be able to tell me if there was a pair of these particular pants I had in a 12 petite vs 12 average which is what i had on the counter. She looked at me and said no we do not have any boot-cut petite in the store. Um yes there is a stack of them just not a size 12. She then told me I needed to grab a petite pair and she would look for the size. So I walked over and grabbed a pair of boot-cut black petite pants in size 10 and explained I needed a 12. She then informs me another store has them it was almost 2 hours away. I said No thank you can you just order them please and have them shipped to my home. That seemed to be a task for her and seemed irritated that I asked. She then told me it would be 2.95 for shipping. I explained I would be paying with my NY&C reward credit card and she said OK. I then said will you please remove the shipping charge It states here in your pamphlet that Ask Us shipping is free when using the NY&C rewards credit card. She said no sorry we do not have that option. And that was it. Nothing more she just blew me off processed the transaction and was done. NY&C use to be one of my go to stores for all of my work essentials but after visiting this store I will no longer be shopping there.

New York & Company customer service

Dear Mr Scott,

I saw your episode on Undercover Boss and you made customer service a priority. I wanted to make you aware of two incidents that I encountered at two different stores in Miami Florida. I shop at NY and Company every week and my purchase is always around 150.00 dollars minimum. On April 23, 2017 at 4:43 pm, I visited your store at Dolphin Mall in Miami Florida. I approached an employee to ask her the price of a dress and she replied to me that she was on break but she was fixing the accessory/jewelry area . As I walked around the store, I still saw the employee fixing the jewelry area but she had told me she was on break and couldn't help me. I was very upset to see that she couldn't take a few minutes to give me the answer to my question if what the dress price was. I approached the store manager Neomi Yalina, I explained to her what had occurred and her reply was she was on break mam. I told her if she was on break why was she fixing the accessories and couldn't stop a moment to address my concerns. She never apologized or try to make me feel better about the entire incident, she infuriated me more . That's when I asked for the number to the complaint department.

My second incident was on 6/10/17 at 14:52 store 895. I went to the register to pay and I made a purchase of 172.12 dollars. As I payed I left the store but decided to buy the sandals on sale for 6.99 so I went back to the register to pay for the sandals. As I was paying, I see the cashier giving NY Cash dollars to a customer. So I inquired why I wasn't given one so the employee gave me two. I asked the employee what the criteria was to receive the cash dollars and immediately the manager Claudia responded not in a nice way that it's one for every 50 dollars. Well I received 2 NY Cash dollars instead of 3 and I told her that. The manager didn't even apologize for her abrupt response. I went over to the store manager and told them about what had occurred . She went over to inquire what happened. As I walked over to the register I told the Manager Claudia that it was very unprofessional how she responded to me and in front of the store manager she didn't try to correct the situation she had done. She continued with her attitude and turned her face and continued helping a customer at the register. I said to the store manager, it's incredible how she conducted herself so unprofessional in front of you. I told her I was going to call the corporate office because she sees me there every week and I'm not a brand new customer. I would like to make you aware of both incidents that you would not allow for this to occur in you stores. Thank you and I hope to hear from you.

New York & Company customer service

Today I went into the Westfield Topanga store (store 785) today to make a return and the manager at the time whose cashier number is 326947 was VERY rude to me and my family. She did not listened to my request and instead did what she wanted to do. She yelled at us for not having one of the tags but we had the receipt for all the items. She also called me a liar and kept giving us a really bad attitude the whole time. She made it clear that she really did not want to help anyone.
After completing our transaction she just threw us the receipts and went to the back of the store without a word.

New York & Company city cash

I received 20.00 in city cash that was to be used between January 17th to the 30th. I went shopping on the 30th so I didn't lose out like I usually do. Everything in the store was 40% off. I went to the checkout and was told in order to use the city cash I had to pay full price. REALLY?...Your prices in the whole store was 40% off but I had to pay full price to use it! That is just ridiculous ! I have been shopping there since they opened that will be my last time!

I went shopping in the Stonecrest Mall New York and Company store on today, Monday October 3, 2016. I entered the store at 10:00am, when it first open up. I admired a pair of checkered-board balk and pink pair of slacks. I look at the sign above the pants rack and the sign, very bright and red; $20.00. I got my size and went to the register to purchase the pants. The store salesman said out very loud, that will be 454.00 ma'am. I showed her the sign said $20.00. She looked at me and said, "Oh, the slacks are not on sale, I just haven't had time to take the sale sign down yet". I feel that if she did not take the sign down then she should sale me the pant for what the sale sign have on it. I was very disappointed, she failed to take the sign down before I entered the store, for that reason, the slacks should be the sale cost.

New York & Company my daughter's purse was stolen from the store.

I was in your store 4211 Camino de la plaza San Diego, CA 92173 July 20th 2016 around 5pm pst, my 11 year old daughter's Coach bag which contained her iPhone and coach wallet along with her bank card and a few dollars was stollen from this store. I inquired about a security camera and was informed that the camera was located in NY. This is unsatisfactory. I work hard for my money and the things that we purchased and to be told that we are basically out of luck because your cameras are decoys is rediculous. I was told to go to the security and maybe they could see outside of the store to see if someone left the store with it. Someone left the sore with it but it's done small that it would have been put into a bag prior to leaving. The phone has now been turned off by whomever has taken it. I am so upset with how I was basically dismissed and am now left with nothing. I would like the number to corporate because if there had been an emergency in the store and you needed to see footage of what happened in the store how is that possible if you can't access the cameras? Too much money has been lost as well as my daughter being upset that someone would take from her.

Good Evening. I Paula Cobbins send you the necessary info to process my claim. My leg is broke I am on no weight bear period . I sent u guys what I had now if you would process it would be appreciated . my credit card number ends in 8659 . if additional info is needed I am not going to do further damage you can call Hinsdale hospital and request info. [protected] I sent you the hospital discharge notes have you ever had a broke leg quite dibiltating . process this right away otherwise you gone have another lawsuit on your hands I am not going to go against what the orthopedic specialist say for you s.o.b you charge me for it now take care of it

New York & Company credit card issuance

Suddenly I get notice thru the mail that I can have insurance placed on my Comenity Bank, 300 dollar charge card to NY&C. I called and told them I did not know what they were talking about, they said since I would not give them my account number they could not help me. I told them I had nothing except for the notice that I could get disability insurance on the card. 4 - 10 days later packages forwarded to me from an address I moved from over 2 years ago. I call and they send me this fraud letter telling me to fill it out and they will look into it. 5 days later and I get a statement showing a payment then the removal of the payment and a little nasty note they have closed my account. I called them again and they inform me that they had just sent out a letter to me. 4 weeks have pass and today I get one of their catalogs and I receive constant email about sales, Come on who is the biggest rip off Comenity Bank, NY&C, plus a lot more.

I have been ordering online and in- store from this company and have usually have not had to much trouble, but that changed Wednesday night, January 27th, I placed an on-line order and checked and double checked to make sure the sizes were correct, like I always do, but on Thursday, January 28th, I received a email that it was shipped out and that is when I noticed through this email the size was wrong, I called the store in which they stated I couldn't return being they were changing to an outlet, then proceeded to call customer service which I was told I could order the same pants but at regular price, no exchange in which that was all I wanted to do I am so disappointed with this company, I spend a lot of money with this company, I am going to pay off my card balance and discontinue shopping with this company, and I will be, if asked about this company, tell everyone what I endured.
