Nextdoor Neigborhood App
Nextdoor, refuses to allow you to choose to be unlisted in their directory. In addition, they try to force you to reveal your full legal name, disregarding that you have been a victim of identity theft and stalking. They are completely violation any right to privacy and in doing so promote nefarious activity. I have only posted 2 things in 5 years, which was a man trespassing through my backyard, and someone allowing their dog to take a larger than normal poop on my yard without even attempting to clean it up. Nextdoor's response was to deactivate my account for using an aliases and remove the posting of the nefarious activity video. Seems they are on the side of the bad guys.
Desired outcome: For them to allow privacy protections by allowing to be unlisted in the very public directory and by allowing you to use an alias to protect you from identity theft.
Next door is a public forum.
Next door is a public forum., but it's being treated as a publication.
Desired outcome: My account back
Nextdoor bias
This site practices bias and censorship for anyone who posts anything conservative. The bullies report the post, the left-leaning Moderators then ban that person for questionable and weak reasons, then ban them indefinitely. Their policies are purposely vague and ambiguous, they hide behind left-leaning opinion. I was recently banned indefinitely for posting a link to a news article from the Daily Mail that is in the Public Domain, because it reported questionable financial transactions to the President’s son. It is a news article, there is nothing in the “policy” that disallows news articles, many left-leaning news articles are posted. It’s selective enforcement, theget away with this on a daily basis. They have a 1.07 out of 5 rating from the BBB. Pathetic.
Desired outcome: Don’t advertise, delete your account don’t financially support censorship.
They're behaving like Nazis, because that's who they are.
Nextdoor app
This app censors conservative viewpoints and subsequently bans these users permanently without warning or opportunity to withdraw a comment or post they’ve deemed unacceptable. It needn’t be profane or threatening, only against the far-left mainstream narrative and while we’ve all seen much of this on these types of platforms lately, in their case there is no appeal process and you will not be able to create a new account.
This type of censorship is rendering our society incapable of intelligent dialogue.
Users be aware that you are interacting solely with the opinions and persons in your area who their owners choose to allow you to.
Desired outcome: Just to inform users. I am no longer interested in their services.

Indiscriminate CENSORSHIP
Hello I live in Saint Augustine, FL 32084 next-door app client. There is so much random indiscriminate political comments made by many many members. The administrators have removed my membership as I was commenting no different than anyone else on a very lengthy post that should have been deleted around 170 comments. It’s blatantly ridiculously hypocritical. Nalani Briggs is one I have spoke with. This is not what Nextdoor was started as but has become. It’s sad.
Desired outcome: Stop with the indiscriminate censorship. I can look and see the ones that keep posting political medical false information miss information and it gets left alone. It’s annoying. Do something about it. Please!
Next-Door
Next-Door canceled a fund rasing effort for Ukraine. What is wrong with the leads on Next-Door?
Banned for no reason
I went to nextdoor and my account was Account temporarily disabled
Your account has been temporarily disabled for a violation of this Community Guideline:
Do not discriminate
We want all neighbors to feel welcome, safe, and respected on Nextdoor. When conversations turn disagreeable, everyone on Nextdoor suffers.
Our Guidelines prohibit posts and replies that discriminate against, attack, insult, shame, bully, or belittle others.
The only thing I said was Brandon was bringing in illegals.
Please Advise
Desired outcome: I would like an apology before I get my attorney involved.
The leads of Next-Door
The leads of our local next door take great pride in joining forces and targeting anyone who disagrees with their conclusion of facts. They routinely define truth as to how they conceive it. No open conversations are allowed which opposes the views of 2 specific leads. When someone does share a view or opinion, which is not in agreement with one of the two leads the call goes out to other leads to sanction the poster. Next-door provides no way for a persons grievances to be heard or reviewed. The results are a systematic trail of kangaroo court actions of like minded people which Next-door has selected without having any direction over their biased actions. Convenient for next-door I suppose, no knowledge, no responsibility. Owning a business requires management and oversight unless you do not care.
Desired outcome: I would like Next-door to contact me to discuss the issue to demonstrate they are not just about the money.
Absolutely the same in the UK. Turning apolitical posts into political, when the rules say such is to be under a specially formed group. Then these bigots gang up & troll all who have a different view, they are nut-jobs & their leads are also bigoted. I find it odd that a site has 'neighborly rules' and protects racist comments, but then their former CEO did not follow them when leaving the scene of an RTA he had caused, nor did he as required by law, report it, he even stepped down, but is still on the Board. I suggest it is the twin evil brother of Twitter. I am leaving it, it avoids me visiting the culprits.
Banned yet again for no reason by NextDoor.
This is the worst social platform out there. If you do not agree with their bias leftist liberal agenda or talking points then they ban you. They will allow neighbors to publicly attack and shame conservative and Christian neighbors in some of the worst ways possible. 3/10/22 I was banned for not being "respectful to your neighbors". I was attacked by several people who could not understand simple reasoning because it went against their point of view. These people insisted on putting words in my mouth to bait me into an argument. I remained respectful and purposely kept my comments to facts. I did not comment with any personal opinions on the subject discussed. The subject was about a flyer that was distributed to all neighbors. It was an opinion based flyer/group. The initial post was to call out that flyer as racist and homophobic. It was not. The people commenting were trying to incite outrage amongst the neighbors. I used reason to try to point out that this was nothing to get people riled up about or upset about. They continued. I then used private messaging to address the people who personally attacked me. They attacked me some more there and then said that they were done talking to me. It is these types of people who are hurting others yet they are never banned. There are a couple of people who continually do this in any post that is not within the leftist liberal agenda. They are inciting hate amongst neighbors. Here is the website to the group that put out the flyer, https://southbayeducationalliance.org. This group seems to me to support Christian Values and nothing else. I cannot find any direct racist or homophobic statements on their website.
Desired outcome: I would like a public apology and I would like Next Door to stop their disgusting censorship and banning of conservative ideals that are based in reality. I would like them to remove the ban on my account.
That website is racist, homophobic, and bigoted. You are either too naive to understand that you’ve been conditioned to believe this information or you yourself are racist, homophobic, and bigoted. Try to support your community instead of rallying under the banner of GOP at any cost.
How many times were you banned and for how long each time?
How long are you in ND Jail for?
Member over reacting to a comment, and reporting me for no reason, resulting in my account being blocked
A member posted bunnies for sale. I commented that I hoped they sold to responsible people because bunnies and chicks sold around Easter grew into adults that weren't cute or wanted at full age. I said chicks had a high mortality rate. The comment wasn't meant to be mean however this member called me "karen" and basically said I was stupid. I deleted my comment since it offended her. Shortly thereafter a member of her family called me "A karen" for removing my comment. Then they filed a false report that resulted in the suspension of my account for 4 days. Now I really don't mind the suspension, even if it was not warranted because of two things: First I don't need this site, Secondly this site will block people without proof. The mean spirited, lying people that post there have shown their lack of intelligence since all they can do is insult, ridicule, and falsely report people. The site that blindly bans members based on fake information is in danger of violating a persons rights, and are asking for legal retribution. As for the member filing the fake report, and engaging in slurs and name calling, she should be banned. And perhaps animal control or other state agency should be called to make sure her breeding facility is humane and up to date.
Desired outcome: An apology from the member that filed a false report and her being banned for a reasonable time.
Post Removal
I recently posted the following: I pray that God protects and blesses Ukraine and sends his mighty and terrible wrath upon the Satanic Russian invading horde. This post was taken down by Next Door. While it was true that some responses tended to be political, that was no cause the remove the post and all of the other responses that were in solidarity with Ukraine. Removing the post makes it seem that the Next Door organization doesn't approve of references to God, or wasn't in sympathy to Ukraine, or worse was siding with Putin.
Desired outcome: Replace the post
ND is unfortunately anti America & Anti God.
Helicopter circling SMU. Any news?
Deleting posts, suspending, censorship
First one of my biggest complaints is content is all determined not by the neighborhood but by the algarots running it. I continually am harassed, not only for sharing my conservative opinion in a discussion, but for posting information about local neighborhood scammers/pandhandlers. Nextdoor has gotten to be a mess; no one I know goes on there anymore because it is citizens panhandling for money or photographers wanting to show their work. I went through this morning and the first four posts are all photos; birds, coyotes, pelicans, hawks etc... People use this as their personal facebook page. PLEASE put a page for photos. People rant and rave about dog poop. Their is not control over the site and I keep getting suspended simply for sharing my views such as a lady recently posting to get people to pay all her cat's medical bills... without having gone to doctor yet, not knowing how much. There is another lady who posts every year stating she had a house fire. if you are a patriot at all - you are censored! This has become a platform for people who sit home all day on their computer, trollers, liberals. God help anyone who posts otherwise. The complaints are rampant and nothing happens. You are losing "neighbors" which means no one is seeing your advertising! Forget if you lose your dog or their is imminent crime in the area, no one will see it through all the garbage! I get banned or suspended just for sharing links because it is not liberal. Not even what I said... just links or news!
Desired outcome: Get new monitors for our neighborhood, north county san diego, country estates and surrounding areas. Diversify the base. Create categories for photos just like crime, safety.
terrible censorship biased app only supports leftist, radical positions, anti conservative, ant Christian, anti traditional morality .
Yep ND is Anti America & God. I am suspended for at least a year now.
Account Disabled Indefinitely
NextDoor,
I am the person being defended here after speaking out against false attacks specific to the pitbull breed. In fact, where pitbulls were falsely identified as the breed that took part in an attack on another neighborhood pet. Where cries of extinguishing the breed, demands to throw their owners in jail, and where doxing of the owners took place.
On 24 February I was told my account was suspended indefinitely, and that I could come back in one year to plead my case. I am not alone in my "punishment", and this is much bigger than me. Nextdoor is supposed to represent the town square where neighbors share information and have discussions. Instead, it has become an intolerant tool for retribution for those with differing opinions. Bias runs rampant from neighbors to Leads to Corporate teams who delete comments and vanish neighbors for having a certain opinion, or defending themselves against personal attacks. The power of the 'Report' button is endless, arbitrary, and subjective to everyone involved in using and enforcing it. It is completely absent of logical reasoning.
The world has faced social isolation for more than two years, and NextDoor provided a place for actual neighbors to interact with others, form bonds and share camaraderie in a local community. A very unique construct. A neighborhood application that was supposed to bring neighbors closer together, communicate, discuss concerns, needs and opinions, provide information and help has turned into the disappearing grounds where neighbors are ghosted as if they never existed. The irony is palpable.
Your 'Be Kind' mantra has the opposite effect, and has essentially pitted whole neighborhoods against their neighbors, in fact, entire cities. It has created an environment of hostility under the false guise of kindness or preventing misinformation. It is a place of zero tolerance for many, while others have free reign. A place where the entire process is veiled in anonymity, kinship in specific ideology, and corporate rebuttals receive no response. A game of strategy used to disappear certain opinions. It is an iron fist void of common sense. Lastly, it is neither a neighborhood, a town square, place of kindness, nor a place where differences are respected and celebrated, but a place of biased suppression filled with personal glory of 'Report' button silencing of thought. As others have said - an echo chamber.
Shame.
Desired outcome: I would like Nextdoor to do the right thing. There is no need for me to explain further.
I was supsensed for a year now after my 7th suspension. If you want help getting back on ND please email me qktreasures @ gmail or text 708943QKTS (7587) God Bless You.
2 Timothy 1:7 (NLT): 7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.
Banning Members
On February 24, 2022, a Nextdoor member was banned for one year due to voicing her opinion. She was commenting on a post regarding a dog attack where the comments were calling the pit bull breed of dog dangerous, and she was defending the breed. People reported her comments and she was removed for one year. She had been reported in the past, which is why her suspension was so severe. As you’ll see below, her being reported in the past may in fact have been due to Nextdoor’s policies, not because of the content of her posts and comments.
Nextdoor has become an echo chamber. The reason it's an echo chamber is that any time a post or comment is reported for one its rules, many of which are very subjective (e.g. "Uncivil or unkind", "Goes against my beliefs, values or politics", "Misinformation" (generally, which commenters often cite from public and legitimate sources), "Supporting or promoting a hate group" (what constitutes a hate group is never defined)), are quickly reported by another user. Upon reporting, I'm told that, depending upon the complaint, either local moderators will remove a comment and/or the corporate office will "punish" the offender by suspending the user's account for a number of day, weeks, months, or permanently.
Here's the problem: By removing posts or suspending users for subjective reasons that offend another user's senses, those offended users are enabled and become, for lack of a better way of putting it, power-hungry and quick to complain, knowing that there's an excellent chance they're complaint will result in removal of the comment or suspension of the commenter. In fact, I'm nearly certain that it's a relatively small number of people in any given neighborhood area who, because they've discovered how they can affect the users on the Nextdoor platform and how responsive the moderators are to their complaints, are setting the "tone" and "narrative" for thousands of other users in any given neighborhood area. It's the Nextdoor equivalent of those who seek the greatest number of "Likes" on Facebook or "Retweets" on Twitter.
I've read recently that Nextdoor is engaging in a campaign to increase the amount of "kindness" on its platform. I would submit that "kindness" is in and of itself very subjective, and is only "kind" to those who share the same opinions as the small group of complainers whom Nextdoor is enabling. Essentially, Nextdoor, due to its reporting policies, is creating an atmosphere of groupthink, which is anything but kind.
Desired outcome: I'd appreciate a response to this complaint. I'd also like ND to visit its reporting policy. Aside from removing the subjective reasons a user can complain, I'd also like to see the number of complaints any user can register limited, perhaps to one complaint per month. Those who are "habitual complainers" will be forced to be very selective in which other neighbors they choose to report, and they will quickly learn that they always have the option of either exercising tolerance for their neighbor's opinions or skipping over any comments or topics they may not agree with. This, to me, is a far kinder solution than simply silencing other users.
Desired outcome: Reinstatement of member and review of biased leads and corporate personel.
I have been supended 7 times too & now its for at least a year.

I've been suspended for at least a year. Now.
Banned from nextdoor
I was banned from nextdoor indefinably for voicing my own opinion. They say misinformation. I ask what specifically was misinformation and the refuse to tell me. How can you defend yourself it it is one sided? I said in a comment to someone else that posted about Kids getting the vaccine that I felt it was child abuse and that a kids immune system was much better than the jab. This has been also stated by leading doctors and virologist! This is a well known fact. I also said I pray that they get what is coming to them. My opinion and stand on it. They can take it or leave it. I have the right to state it.
Desired outcome: Account reinstated and an public apology in writing.
They are a bunch of Leftist Commies. I just got my 7th suspension which is now at least for a year. If you wanna get back on there perhaps I can help you. Please email qktreasures gmail com or text 708943QKTS (7587)
Biased nextdoor moderation
On January 20, 2022, my account was disabled for 30 days because I posted an article from the Journal of the American Medical Association. Nextdoor said it violated their guidelines against misinformation. This is the article: https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jamanetworkopen/fullarticle/2788172
It said that most reported adverse vaccine effects were due to a placebo effect.
I wrote to Nextdoor and pointed out that the article was debunking misinformation about vaccines, and they simply repeated their baseless assertion that "the ... content could discourage other's [sic] from getting the vaccines."
Desired outcome: I want my account restored immediately.
ND is a bunch of Leftist Commies. I was suspended for at least a year now as it was #7 lol.
Handyman
I hired a "handyman" from Dream Catcher Homes - his name is George. I retained his name from Home Advisors/Angie's. The jobs I needed done around my home were minimal: painting one side of a wooden fence white . . and I provided the paint, putting a small latch on a screen door (he had an extra in his van), screwing a safety bar into my tub area (I provided the bar). He quoted $200.00 which I thought was quite reasonable. When he was through for the day and said he would put another coat on my fence in the next few days, he never returned! He charged me $375.00! The assumption (my mistake), was that he was coming back to give the fence another coat. He always had one excuse after another for not being able to come back to finish up. With any service job the individual should present himself neatly and professionally. The bottom line is: Do NOT hire this man for any jobs you want done efficiently and correctly . . . he is not to be trusted! Another important lesson to learn: Do NOT pay until the job is complete . . I have learned a valuable lesson!
Banning for so-called "misinformation" or "conspiracy theories" for mentioning peer reviewed scientific data.
Twice I've been banned, this time for 30 days. No proof of accusations on Nextdoor's end. They give certain people too much power to get opposing views banned. They seem to be at war with logic. And it's always one particular political persuasion who is exercising this power. Blatant abuse of power, especially when it comes to the pandemic. If they can't prove you wrong, they just have you banned, just like Twitter, YouTube and all the other agenda driven social media sites.
Desired outcome: At least identify the accusations in called into question, so the "banned" are able to either learn or adjust, or abandon this blatantly biased site. And then reinstate, if Nextdoor can't PROVE that you in fact posted misinformation.
Same thing just happened to me. Someone on ND was claiming that so many children were dying from Covid. I explained to her that the numbers are actually very low for children and posted links to the data on the CDC and WHO's websites. I also pointed out that multiple people formerly considered experts in their fields (including 2 Nobel prize winners, the inventor of the mRNA technology platform and a cardiologist/epidemiologist with 600+ peer-reviewed publications, 51 of which were on Covid) are now considered quacks for disagreeing with the government's Covid response. My comment was deleted, and when I commented on the thread again asking what I said that would get my post deleted, I found that I was blocked for 31 days.
Nextdoor
I was suspended for 3 days for "misinformation". I merely posted an article of something true & accurate. After that suspension I have had my account permanently deactivated. I joined a closed covid discussion group in which I thought I could freely post and discuss information.
Well someone once again turned me in and my account was deactivated indefinitely. How is this OK? What happened to having a debate. OR how about letting adults read information & make up their own minds.
This site has become a kindergarten for adults, when someone doesnt like something that goes against the narrative they turn you in.
I reached out several times to ask to please reinstate my account as I honestly didnt know it was against guidelines to post info on a covid closed group. NO reply.
I am a disabled Veteran and moved to a new area where this site has its usefulness. I also use the site to help others in need.
Desired outcome: Account reinstated
ND is a bunch of leftists Commies. I am suspended now myself for at least a year because it is #7 lol. If you wanna get back on there I might be able to help. Email me qktreasures gmail com or text 708943QKTS (7587)
