magazine debt
My 90 year old aunt received a Debt collectors letter from North Shore Agency for the magazine The Nation for 29.00 on August 2, 2017. She has not ordered this magazine, nor does she owe any money to you. In addition she was in the hospital for 3 weeks during the time the letter came to her. She does not owe any money for 34 issues as she never ordered the magazine. Please delete her account, and Stop scamming the elderly. Reading these posts including previous complaints, informs me that this NSAgency needs to be reported to the General Attorney, of which I have no problem doing at this point.
NSAgency gave her an account # [protected], Type NA5.
Asking as a resolution that NSAgency stop sending debt collection letters for services not owed Immediately.
Thanks
alleged delinquent account status
I just received a letter from a company identifying itself as North Shore Agency stating that I have a delinquent account with Harper's Magazine in the amount of $12.97, that I did not pay for a subscription, and that NSA is seeking to "collect" the money that I allegedly owe Harper's Magazine. I never subscribed to this magazine. I replied to an offer by Harper's for a free issue, which I received, and then, in accordance with directions provided by Harper's, wrote "Cancel" on the first bill I received and mailed it back, assuming that would be the end of it, particularly since I received no other issues. This is absolutely ludicrous and raises concerns about fraudulent activity. Worse, I understand that NSA could report my "nonpayment" to the major credit agencies. NSA claims that it was "informed" by Harper's that I had not paid. Where this is true or not, I have no way of knowing but I am inclined to doubt it. The only resolution of my complaint would be for NSA to send a letter retracting the content of the letter I just received.

debt collector for magazine
This company is trying to collect a debt for a magazine i never asked for, requested, and ever read . you can not talk to a company rep. They appear to be a bogus company . i am thinking they possibly maybe fraudulent . I never subscribed to the magazine I am being billed for (Popular Science ) .
i have called so many times it is not funny trying different times to speak with a live person.
collection notices (reference proactive)
I had an ongoing 6 month renewable program with ProActive which I requested be cancelled because I was not using the product as much as previously. I continued to receive products after placing this request. I had one past due payment that I received bills for from ProActiv as well as some from North Shore Agency. I submitted my payment directly to ProActiv (with a letter indicating this account had been requested to be cancelled along with a check for the balance that I was responsible for payment. ProActiv cashed the check; however, I still receive their company sales literature (which I have no problem with).
However, my complaint is with NORTH SHORE AGENCY because I am still receiving collection notices from this company even after this account has long since been cleared up with ProActiv. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!
I tried to reach a live person to tell them that they are to STOP IMMEDIATELY sending me these notices and if they do not I will file a complaint with the appropriate government agency for harassment. However, it is impossible to reach a person live. I do not want to waste the cost of a stamp on this creditor since they should have long stopped sending me notices. I wanted to inform them that I was recording the conversation to make sure they know I mean what I say, but all their "customer service reps" hide behind unanswered phone lines, a clear sign of a scam operation. I will research the appropriate agency to contact to file a legal complaint if this is not resolved immediately.
I will provide photos once I know this complaint is being handled appropriately
unethical behavior/collection fraud
Received a collection notice for a magazine bill I never received and for a magazine I had already payed for via publishers clearing house! On their notice their is no actual contact info just a number to blindly send payment info to. They have been sued for fraud in the past. Here is their actual contact info [protected] N Northsight Blvd Suite 111, PMB 308 Scottsdale Arizona 85260
They also run some secrete stay anonymous website set service for other scammers. www.domainsbyproxy.com
Do not send them payment info and check your credit! When calling their legal listed contact number, you will be put on hold by an answering system claiming the are assisting other costumers. No one will EVER pick up, left it on hold for 4 hours plus on numerous times. On fourth try a man picked man only saying thank you have contacted sales. I asked sales for what company, he replied we do not give our info. But of course they will gladly take money from you on a bogus bill. Report this ASAP! To the BBB

collections - shady business practices
I have received a notice from North Shore - but they are very difficult to connect with -- only an automated voice recording that will only accept payment. They give no indication of what the item was except White Paper, or when it was ordered. This seems very shady to me. The website is highly suspicious as well.
unethical behaviour
I received a letter from this company in reference to collecting money for the Hamilton Collection Figurines. Not only did pay this money but the letter this company sends is the most disrespectful letter I have ever received. I never try to claim the company forgot about me paying them. I feel the North Shore Agency should research the claims before sending a nasty letter like the one I received. Unfortunately when trying to contact the agency the only telephone number they provide is to pay the amount owed. One can not speak to someone from the agency. My account number is [protected].
letter of collection
I received a letter that I owed 39.97 for a three year subscription for psychology today. I have subscribed to that magazine before but paid what was owed. I don't trust this agency in that there is no phone number that you can call to talk with anyone. I am on disability and can't afford my medicines let alone three year subscription to a magazine. The letter also states that I received letters that I didn't respond to. The only thing that I received was a bill months ago that I wrote cancel on and returned to psychology today. I am going to file a complaint with Better Business Bureau and that insurance company that you say you are insured under. Acct #[protected]. Because of a nasty divorce 9 years ago I had to file bankruptcy because my ex did before we were divorced. My credit is good now and I wouldn't ruin it over 39.97
debt recovery
Received dunning letter for Cruising World Magazine on July 2 and Sep 17 2015 saying I owe $24.00. My first call was to Cruising World - they verified that I had cancelled subscription in 2014 and had no record of asking NSA to collect a debt. This is mail fraud (or extortion?) pure and simple. I'm surprised the Federal Government hasn't gone after them. As a matter of fact, I will copy this and forward to appropriate agency. In the meantime, I will ignore the letters.
magazine subscription
Today 10-15-2015 I received a notice from NSA that says they are collecting a debt for Shooting Times Magazine. I did a one year subscription a few years ago but did not renew, sent the notice to renew back that I cancelled the subscription. Now I get this notice. I believe they are a scam and am not paying it. Tried to get on their web site to check them out without any luck. No luck calling them either. I will try their email.
received collection letter / don't have subsription
Received collection letter stating i owe 19.96 for a magazine i have never heard of nor do i have any subsciptions with them or this magazine country sampler.
Very pissed off that there is no i mean no human to answer questions just a recording
this better not go against my credit...This looks like
a scam
I have never ordered this magazine and have never got a copy I the mail...
I keep getting a bill from NSA North Shore Agency saying I owe $15.00
scam collection notice
I am experiencing the exact same thing about Gun Tests Magazine as OldBethpage. Trial subscription rolled into collection notices from North Shore Agency (NSA). No direct point of contact to anyone alive. Website only available as payment point. I immediately suspect fraud and identity theft. Emails to Gun Tests to resolve appear to have been ignored or bumbled…they replied once that they "needed my address" which seems really odd since they have it for the trial sub, and the NSA (Pseudo-) folks have it. I had eventually knuckled under and bought a 1-year sub, paying Gun Tests on line at their website just to get them from bugging me. The NSA notices still arrive. I replied to Gun Tests again to call off the dogs and with it I included my mailing address on spec that they were that incompetent that their database couldn't resolve a name, email and address. Still no resolution and Gun Tests is now sending the magazine AND advertisements for early RENEWAL! I suspect the Gun Test reply was either fraudulent or a stall tactic and is either hacked by NSA or in collaboration on heavy-handed bill-collection scam. The FTC has avenues for recourse here.
wrongful collection
August 12 1015
I received a notice stating I owe $29.95 for Rolling Stone Magazine which I DID NOT ORDER! I called North Shore Agency to discuss but it is impossible to speak with anyone as it is an automated system. I selected Magazine not Received. Upon trying to locate another phone number on the internet I found there are MANY complaints and accusations indicating this is scam.
Is their any advice I cane provided?
magazine subscription bill
Received mail stating that we owed Field and Stream $11.97 for subscription that we did not take. We had previously received this magazine but had decided upon subscription expiring not to re-subscribe. Tried to contact the company both by telephone and website for credit card payments. Unable to both of these, recorded message and website never came up. Upon further investigation I found this site suggesting complaint be filed against this company as a scam.
trying to collect $ for subscription
They're trying to collect money for a subscription I did not renew. When I call the phone # on the letter, it is strictly automated with no option for human contact. I resent that the magazine is spending its money on a collection agency for a meager $10. If I wanted the subscription, I would have paid months ago when they first solicited the renewal. Waste...

incorrect billing
I have received a "statement of collection" stating that I owe triverex us$85.88. I contacted triverex in 2012 and told them to stop sending me any suppliments, and as such I do not see why or understand why I am being billed for products which I do not want to use anymore. Please stop this immediately. Account# 254489

magazine subscription
I accepted a free trial subscription of gun tests magazine. They sent me two issues and started billing me for a subscription. I didn't want their magazine so I ignored the bills and didn't recieve any more issues. I never agreed to any more than the advertised free trial subscription. Now i've received two collection notices. I complained to gun tests magazine after the first one and received another notice this week. Absolut bull!

a best friend's mother makes $66 every hour on the internet. She has been without a job for six months but last month her pay was $18859 just working on the internet for a few hours. Here's the site to read more. LazyCash35.com

I initially ordered the Nation but decided I did not want to continue with my subscription. When they sent me notices telling me to pay my subscription fee if I wanted to keep receiving their magazine I responded by writing please cancel my subscription on the invoice, followed by my initials.
