I live in Riis complex on Avenue D and 10th street. The employees in the Management office are beyond rude starting with the receptionist. the man that is in charge of my building is hard to get a hold of him. I took him prove of change income and the birth certificate of my newborn daughter to be put on the new lease a month before he said the lease was going out. When the lease came nothing had change. When I went back he said he had lost my paperwork. Very unprofessional.
I am would like to make a complaint about the graffiti outside of the elevators and inside the elevators
My name is Victoria Dawson and I live in the Smith Houses at 182 South Street. It is a very nice building yet there is graffiti on the outside of the elevator and the elevator doors in the lobby and there is graffiti in both elevators. Please have someone remove the graffiti, I work and would like to see a nice clean elevator free of graffiti. Thank you.

My mom lives in 975 Tinton Ave apt 3d bx ny 10456 and I moved last year. I am still on her lease. I have provided her with the required documents and the management office isn't doing anything. We 1st provided these documents in Oct 2016. My mom waited a few months and because no reply she went. They said wait for your lease. A letter came saying they want to terminate her lease because she has not provided her required documents. She went to the office and was given the same paperwork again and asked that I get it notarized. She went today and was told come back next Thursday. Even though she was given until today to bring proof that I moved. I called the office and I was told the person I needed to talk with wasn't available. I asked to leave a message and was placed on hold for 13 minutes. I hung up and called back and had the same thing done. My mother is extremely worried she will get in trouble and she is trying get the paperwork to them again but they won't take it. Please help. There little to no water coming out of any of my forcets, this problem been going on since i moved here a couple years back and its getting worse. Every morning i wake up for the last two years there is no HOT WATER! the only time the water gets hot is like 12 am till bout6 after that there is no water coming out the force when i turn the hot water on. its really inconvenient for me. I've even got video footage of the water pressure how it is EVERY SINGLE MORNING!

There is a leak in the outside hallway when you exit the elevator to the left-hand side.
That leak goes all the way into my living room and down my wall. Damaging all of the paint and ceiling work that was just fixed less than three months ago.
There's another very strong leak in the middle closet which has been recurring and this time water has broken out all over the place and has damaged all of my things which were there.
I need someone to come and fix this leak asap. This continues to occur throughout the years over and over again and no one pays me for the damages, work that it requires to clean this up.
My husband and I are elderly and cannot continue cleaning up all of this water that comes down all of the time.
The water also loosens the tiles on the floor. I just had my floor done less than two years ago for the same reason.
I need someone to come and do something about this asap please.
terrible apartment paint job
I am a 83 years old senior. Tenant ID# 167-037-16G. My apartment was painted approximately on December 18, 2016. There was 10 years since the last paint. Two painters showed up. The female was about 4'9" tall. . She painted the bathroom. I felt she was just two short to do a proper paint job without a ladder. Because the bathroom was in poor condition I told her the ceiling needed two coats of paint. Which wasn't done. The tiles were painted, but I can fix that. The ceiling today almost looks like it was never painted. The remainder of the bath could have been done better also. My bathroom really needs to be repainted. Please look into this matter. The overhead clothes rack was painted over in spots and she did not rehung it properly. The other two rooms I'll give a B.

I have been living at the Wise towers housing development for about 25 years. On December 23rd I put in a complaint due to a stoppage in my bathtub, I was in shock when maintenance appear at my door the next day. This person checked my tub and he tried to clear it with the snake for about 30 minutes but was unsuccessful to fix it. He did informed me that he was going downstairs to get another equipment stronger because he couldn't do any more than what he's already done..."This guy did not called me to let me know one way or another weather, he was coming back ". The first work order was-[protected] which is right now close without even a courtesy of a phone call or at least a note at the door, to let me know anything. I have been taking bath and after I finish I had to empty the tub with a bucket. I'm a disable person with asthma and RA, so is very difficult to do all this. Please help me out it's been since just before Christmas I can't do it any more!
no heat
There is no heat for over two weeks already. My grandparents live at 1927 University Avenue, Bronx, NY 10453. My 80 year old grandfather now has an pneumonia. We called Kraus Management office [protected] to complaint but it seems like nothing is being done. They decided to put a new boiler in the middle of the winter. Very smart. They also claim that they have a replacement boiler outside that provides heat but it does not reach the 6th floor where my grandparents live. 311 does not provide me with an option to make a complaint because it's NYCHA but also privately owned. I don't get it. Rent is being paid and this is how they are living. I pray my grandfather gets better so we can sue. I really want my grandparents to move as soon as possible.

My name is tony bobet that I live at 1710 seward avenue, apart#5g, bronx, new york city 10473. Everyone was waiting for someone to check the apartment. Their is lot of that need to repair that no one come to check the apartment. They do not check on smoking alarm. They fix the front door of the building and in the same day. They are broken. painting problem
I am writing this letter of complaint to request help. I live in Coney Island Development for 13 years and never have had general repair. Recently, plasterers came and made their part of work, after many years of my waiting. It was in December. Some days later the representative of NYCHA came to my apartment to verify the necessity of painting. He assured me that after a short while painters will come to finish general repair of my apartment. I repeatedly called [protected], have a lot of ticket numbers, tried to reach my local management assistant. No response. I am disabled and have serious health problems and situation described above deteriorates my health. I am an excellent payer. Please help me.

I know a christina mcclam that stays with nycha in brownville, brooklyn, ny. She is currently living with three kids, two cats, another female adult who makes about 1500 a week, and her child in a one room apartment. I feel it is a health hazard to the children who are staying there but also against application regulations that two families that make over 2000 of income a wake is staying in city housing. I am very concerned of the children's conditions.

Fire Dept and Con Ed came and shut stove off on 8/22/16. Con Ed red tag my stove and said that I would need another stove. I spoke to a Mr Storks, who stated as soon as i entered his office, that i wasn't getting another stove, no matter what the fire dept and con ed said. I questioned his actions and he said read your lease. He was very belligerent to me. I want to state that i am a senior citizen and the way he spoke to me was not necessary and also very unprofessional. If Mr Storks can't deal with the public, in a professional way he doesn't need to be in authority. I am complaining about my problem with a faulty stove and mainly complaining about the way i was treated by Mr Storks.

Reside at 2960 west 24th street across the street from carey gardens city housing. Every friday, saturday and sunday evening starting at 5-6 p. M. And on through to 5 a. M. Some people have decided to make the sitting area on the east side of west 24th street an all night mucisfest. There are at least 25 people (Children included) who come outside, play music loud enough to be heard in my apartment on the 15th floor, drinking, smoking, marijuana use, and all in the presence of children and right next to a children's play area. The amount of garbage left behind must be apparent to nycha by now. I'd like to be neighborly and talk to the people involved; let them know how they are affecting not just me all the way up on the 15th floor, but ask if they even considered how loud that music is on the lower floors. I have contacted the police.. They haven't shown up in the past month. How do I know this? The music and ruckus continues into the break of day. I have closed my window (Which I ought not have to do) and turned on a fan which will run up my electric bill. This behavior is happening on your property nycha! Last I checked property owners are responsible for what goes on on their property. I am certain if the police frequented this location, it would no longer be as popular for this conduct. Isn't that why the city put police presence in areas with undesirable behaviors. Or does that only matter when drugs are being sold or shootings? Playing music, summer time, outdoors having a nice time is great! Why does the music get to be a shared event for people like me who have to get up early, want to watch a movie, or just go to sleep? When I called and complained the officer was able to hear the music all the way from the 15th floor and no that racket is not from the amphitheater either!~

She is the blame that happen she accused us, ( me and my brother, Raul Bobet ), of stealing a check of $7000.05. On June, 2013, I thinking that she took the check. The HRA informed that no one didn't file a fraud complaint. The public assist do not care for the money. i am going re-file a lawsuit against her and public assist, for damaged. i am also, filing a complaint of not cleaning the elevator. i could tell that the New York City Housing Authority for laziness. security company at the fordham road office
I went to this office on 7-1-16 at 1:30pm, the main floor guards that there only job is to check ID were very nasty. The heavy set black women that's always ride n miserable went to take the ID of someone behind me, I said excuse me I'm next, she then rolled her eyes n screamed I can not attend u if you are on your phone, I said excuse me I'm not on my phone I have my headset on, she said oh well how am I suppose to know that . I then got rude back saying you people are the nastiest workers here . The tall skinny light skin guard then says to me you are so ghetto miss . I said excuse me I'm ghetto but u people sit there having personal conversations that are not work related n then got the nerve to think u can come n speak to people in any way and that's ok but when someone returns your nasty attitude you are upset . The fat lady then goes n says that I can not be seen today . I asked to speak to a supervisor n the tall skinny light skin one said he was the supervisor ... I then go upstairs asking the nycha staff for a nycha supervisor n she yells don't help her she can't speak to no one .. Long story short no one got me a supervisor, I ended up waiting n called 311 and housing to do a agency complain ... The security guards are not nycha staff so they can not tell someone they can not be seen . Then as big as that building is u going to say there is no nycha supervisor on duty ? The old man (Martinez) that sits at the desk on the 2nd floor giving the numbers said he couldn't give me a number to be seen because that was his order from the guard ... This entire thing was so inappropriate... That security guard always has issues with people when I go there, I just hope all those people do complains and they get her out of there . She is very unprofessional ! Then she even had the nerve to refuse to give me her name and to say to the other guard OH WELL SHE BETTER COME BACK TUESDAY CAUSE WE CLOSED MONDAY AND SHE NOT BEING SEEN TODAY ... I posted a video with a pic of her on instagram and I tagged nycha in it so they can see her ... It's now Saturday evening and the issue is still aggravating me
plumbing repairs not done
since April 12th 2016, there has been water, urine and other debris coming from the pipe and ceiling above the toilet in my bathroom. An appointment with the plumbers on May 23rd, 2016 resulted in a postponing of the work due to the plumbers not having the appropriate pipe needed.
As the days pass, the situation has become worse - what once was a drip has become a dangerous situation; the ceiling buckling as well as the amount of liquid falling has increased exponentially. In addition, an electrical socket is on the wall directly under the leak. On June 2nd, 2016 I went to the Housing Office and spoke with my Housing Assistant Ms. Mendez, offering her a solution - I would buy the pipe needed to expedite the work. However Ms. Mendez refused.
This situation is causing a toxic and dangerous situation for me. I am disabled and fear for my health and well being.
constant flooding in my apartment every month I must call emergency
I am 86 yo disable male, has my neiboor in apartment 6f who is using her kitchen sink to put some garbage, that why iam expirience a flooding every month in my bathroom sink because they are connected, this has been continuing since last year may. Today is may 21, 2016 I cant use my bathroom sink, tommrrow will cal nycha. Local mnycha management send me person to clean, but theguy is laughing on me, saying that this is only for one week, after everything comes back. Because nacha must do something with this lady from apt6f. I am very sick, did not speak english I can not advocate for myself in local management and they are always not available. My daughter in law who is writing this letter was trying to speak with them via the phone, lady was very rood, if you come directly to the office, manager is not availabel, you must do by appointment like to prime minister. maintenance/heat
On Oct. 26, 2015 I placed a work order for a knob on a radiator to enable my mother to adjust her heat, a no show. I called directly to Throggs Neck Management and was told maintenance had the ticket. I knew that, I needed to know when they were going there. On November 10 and 11, 2015 I called again and was told the ticket was still open, again Mgmt. said maintenence has the ticket.
On March 30, 2016 my mom called complaining of no heat. I went to her home, the apartment was freezing, I kept my coat on. I called next morning to put work order in, was told it would be honored between hours of 8 and 12 again, no show. At this time my mother told me she received a letter in the mail of upcoming apt. inspection scheduled for Wednesday April 6, 2016' This however does not excuse them from addressing the present issue.
Once again, called downtown, told work order is still open. At 2:24 April 1, called Mgmt office, told that asst. for that bldg, not in, asked for next person in charge, told they had a resident in office and would place me on hold. I waited 15min, then I heard a phone ringing and I counted 30 rings, no pick up, at that point the phone disconnected.
I called my mother to find out if anyone contacted her, she stated when she went to empty trash she found same letter of apt. inspection on her door. Once again I called downtown, operator called mgmt. of throggs neck and asked about work order, she was told, "If we find a technician today, we will send them over if not it will be Monday."
My issue, work orders are received in the morning. Why put inspection letter on the door when all you had to do was knock and do the job? the rudeness of the office staff, why this was never addressed? and what gives them the right to pick, choose and refuse? Just because it's Friday and you want to go home? My feeling is when they realized they did not honor the work order they put apt. inspection letter on the door to let her know it will be addressed Wednesday 4/6/? the ticket was in from 2015.
That is My mother in that apt. living there over 30 years, rent on time, but if that rent is not in they would be dragging her to court in less time it takes to fix a radiator knob. The same day I put four work orders for myself in, and all tickets were completed, timely fashion and I had repairs that took time, so what am I missing? anything?
I dont like the fact that they obviously don't think seniors are intelligent enought to figure things out/my mother has dates, times written down. Not only did they insult my and my mothers' intelligence but showed no regard for her health and safety. Yes we are in the season of Spring, and the weather will be adjusting, until then that apt. is cold and I don't feel NYCHA reserves the right to decide who they will service. You get paid to work so work to get paid. I will not allow them to sweep this under the rug with some lame excuse. How you they explain away a ticket from Oct. 26, 2015 tip April 2, 2016.
