Doorbell in the apartments; installed the one in
Dear Sir/Madam:
My name is Tony Bobet. I resided at 1710 Seward Avenue Bronx, New York City 10473, Apartment#5-g. I am firmly filing a complaint to New York City Housing Authority in Soundview Houses that is located at 1720 Seward Avenue, Bronx, New York City 10473. The reason of the complaint is everyone in the building have installed the doorbell in there apartment. And, The Management Office knew and the Superintendent and The receptionist, Marilyn know about that, too. They're two apartment door have the doorbell in there apartment.
These are :
Apt# 1A - they have a Ring doorbell
Apt# 5-g - they have a regular doorbell in the apartment door.
If they could put on a doorbell in the apartment door. I am going to put on, too.

conditions at 244 West 104th Street in Manhattan attracting rats on sidewalk and stairway outside NYCHA building
On Saturday evening, November 5, 2021 there were three large (about ten-inch) rats lying on top of four plastic garbage bags that were laying on the public sidewalk in front of 244 West 104th Street. As I approached, the rats fled from the garbage and down a front stairway down to the basement of 244 West 104th Street where they continued to hang out near the bottom of the stairway. The garbage is not stored in steel garbage bins to prevent rats from getting inside the plastic bags, The basement area at the bottom of the steps is filthy and full of debris, also a condition that attracts rats.
NYCHA should purchase enough rat-proof garbage bins to contain all the garbage for 244 W. 104th Street, and all garbage should be kept off the sidewalk near the street until after 4:00 Pm on the day before garbage pickup. There is no garbage pickup on Sunday morning and this garbage was in plain site on Saturday evening. There are also other conditions attracting rats at 244 W. 104th Street such that previously exterminators have placed bait traps at the top of the stairway to the basement and in the front where trees are growing and bait traps have been placed inside where trees are growing but are doing nothing to stop rats. Holes in ground where trees are growing must also be sealed as rats can be seen going in and out of them.
Desired outcome: Krauss Management, which manages the building, should purchase enough rat-proof garbage bins to contain all the garbage for 244 W. 104th Street and seal holes in the soil where trees are growing outside next to the sidewalk.
Tedious transfer! Help!!
I live in Polo grounds towers in Manhattan. I was approved for an emergency transfer in Feb. when I asked to be transferred within my development. I was finally approved for a transfer within my development. There are a few vacant apartments in my current development. My family is living in an over crowded apartment in need of repairs. When I first was shown the apartment the cabinets weren't cleaned out. I was pressured into taking the apartment by threats of longer waiting times or no new selection at all. I was told the apartment would be cleaned out. After five years the apartment has went thru flooding my sink was removed, I had a big hole in my wall and no sink for over a year. My cabinets are still not repaired I can not use my cabinets. They have mildew from the water damage. My walls in my bathroom and kitchen continue to bubble up and paint peeling off. It horrible having my children without the space we were approved for. Why does the process take so long when there are vacant apartments. Development assistants need to be trained better they can not handle tasks for residents. Its very discouraging. All we need is substantial housing. I feel like my basic human rights are being violate. I am supposed to have a 3 bedroom because of my family composition. Please select me for my apartment. Please communicate better with tenants who have been waiting for answers. The tenancy and applications division need to be ran like chick fi la because we deserve better. I don't think its asking for much to be transferred. I will remodel my own apartment. I just need to move!
Desired outcome: To be transferred to a 3 bedroom apartment in my current development Polo Grounds Towers in building 2 on the 23rd floor. I believe thats the vacant its one in building 3 on the 4th
Lack of Repair.

NYCHA has failed to repair a bathroom leak since I first filed a service request on August 23, 2021. Ever since then I have created 4 tickets [protected], 83637037, 84535405, and 159483520977) which have failed to produce any kind of repairs. The leak is in the bathroom above the shower and above the toilet. The source of the leak is coming from a bathroom drain pipe in apartment #13H, which has been confirmed by maintenance man George Campbell.
I have to place a bucket on top of the toilet bowl seat to collect the water and prevent it from spilling on the floor. The leak above the shower is constant. This is a health hazard because it's drain water which is unclean and contaminated. The bathroom and the kitchen wall has been damaged because of the leak, and the problem is getting worse each day. I have visited the office and complained about the leak, but nothing has been done. I do not understand why an emergency that requires immediate repair has not been done.
I am requesting that this leak coming from the bathroom drain pipe in apartment #13H be repaired immediately. This is a health hazard and is causing damage to the wall, and to the structure and integrity of the building.
Desired outcome: I am requesting that this leak coming from the bathroom drain pipe in apartment #13H be repaired immediately. This is a health hazard and is causing damage to the wall, and to the structure and integrity of the building.
The leak above the bathroom shower started coming down again two days ago. I placed another service request ([protected]) through the My NYCHA app. One of the maintenance men came yesterday to take a look. Still no work has been done to repair the leak despite multiple service requests.
P.S: I also wanted to add that every time I take a shower I'm exposing myself to that unclean drain water that's coming from the leak. It's a health hazard and I'm putting my health at risk.
10/27/21: And now the leak is coming down worse over the toilet. I've had to place 2 buckets over the toilet to try and catch the water before it spills on to the floor. It's also now coming down the kitchen wall and spilling all over the kitchen counter and the floor. I just called NYCHA maintenance. I've put in 2 more work tickets ([protected] and [protected]). The source of the leak has already been found and reported. I just don't understand why NYCHA doesn't do anything about it and why the plumbers haven't come to fix it.
Failure to repair
Since early last year I have been having issues with a leak that has been causing severe damage to my walls and ceiling. I spent my pregnancy with a leak and water damage to my bathroom, a rotted out wall in my kitchen, left with a hole in my kitchen wall that allowed mice to crawl on and in my stove, as well as a terrible case of mold. My entire kitchen wall was replaced, plastering and paint done to my bathroom and hallway, only for the problem to persist.
Me and my now 9 month old son have to live with a moldy kitchen wall that has attracted fungus flies, a kitchen ceiling that looks as though it will give way at any time, a large hole in my closet ceiling that hasn't even been looked at by maintenance in the month since I put in the ticket AND made a call to management, as well as two constant leaks in my bathroom that are causing the tile to lift.
Since the return of the damage I have stopped making payments on my rent and I will continue to withhold rent until these issues are fixed.
That leak has now caused an electrical fire in my bathroom. Luckily I woke up in time to catch it. Had I not, god only knows what would've happened with my 9-month old son sleeping in the next room. I've been dealing with this issue for over a year now. Since it continues to persist and has become life threatening, I will be reaching out to news outlets and counsel with the photos and videos I've accumulated since last year.
bathroom shower wall being replaced
Good day, i am writing to file a formal compliant regarding my 75 year old disabled moms shower wall being removed in June of 2021 and to date not being put back up despite my numerous calls to management office.
50 paladino avenue - apt 15f in the Wagner Houses.
My mom has been a model tenant for 55 year
i may be reached at d917-822-6429
respectfully submitted
Desired outcome: shower wall to replaced
My kitchen cabinets
I have put in a ticket for my kitchen cabinets to be replaced a dozen times. They come take pictures and nothing ever gets done. There is a leak, that hasn't gotten fixed either so the water from the leak has cause a large amount of mold growing under the kitchen sink. I have 5 children, and this mold growing on the bottom of my cabinets is dangerous for them.
Housing not doing there job

Complaints in general areas of bldg
have put in tickets about the lack of cleanliness at my bldg. My neighbor has mental health issues no one cleans up what she does or the hallways.
I put it in 3 weeks ago at washington houses and they have not responded or bother to clean generally so there is powder and grime on the floor/stairs. I was sneezing when 8b tenant poured water on it
Desired outcome: Introspect into general cleaning here at 218 bldg in the photos it is a constant think and lax in cleaning every time. Floods even.
Roof leak and missing mailbox
I've been experiencing leaks for 3 years. The leak used to be in only one room, now it is everywhere even in the kitchen. No one has ever come to fix the problem. We ask for help through their ticket system, contacted the supposed landlord, and even called 311 but nothing worked. The leak is so bad that when it is not raining, it is still leaking in our home. When it rains at night, my family members are unable to sleep. We use everything to catch the leaking water and spend the night emptying buckets of brown water. The nice floor we installed has been damaged by water. The sofa is now occupied by buckets and metal boxes to catch water. We have nowhere to sleep or sit because of these buckets catching water. We are desperate to have our lives returned to normal and our nights to be peaceful. We no longer want our lives to be occupied by buckets of rainwater.
NYCHA has also recently changed our mailbox without giving us a key. Now we are unable to access our mail. All the important mail are still stuck in the box. Bills to be paid are missing.
Desired outcome: Fixed roof
Stove replacement been waiting over a month
My father stove has been smelling like gas I called NYCHA they came next day and unplugged saying stove out of order with gas leak and unplugged said not to use and needs replacement and put service ticket in. We waited over two weeks and nothing. Filed two more tickets maintenance came but only to look at the stove never brought replacement. Second one came and said he would speak to supervisor and get replacement and nothing. Was supposed come next day never showed the rest of week nothing. I called several times and each time was told ticket was open they would come or call. It is now about month and half and no stove. My father is terminally ill and has not been able to eat at home only has a hot plate. We need this replacement stove to be arrive and installed and connected this week ASAP.
I can be reached at [protected]@gmail.com
Desired outcome: Stove replacement immediately this week
Constant dripping in bathroom above toilet
I have constant dripping above toilet for going on 2 weeks now. I can't sit on toilet without having a towel above my head which is ridiculous. This is urine and feces water dripping on us. Housing has come 2x and keeps saying they need to speak to supervisor. I cannot continue to wait. I have a 5 year grand child who now cries when she sits on toilet. I have some ticket #s 8270935, [protected], [protected]. I have been to office and all they say is the are going to contact the super. I need immediate assistance.

Rats infront of nycha building
I am a concerned resident of Clinton Houses in Harlem, Address is 1487 Park Avenue. We have complained for the past six months about rats running in and out from in front of the building and nothing has been done.
We have children that go to school in the morning, seniors that have doctors appointments that cannot use the ramp or walk by the building because of the rats in the daytime as well as the night!
The street light is broken it's been out for a several months now and nobody has come and tried to see what the problem is. So now the front of the lobby is dark and we have big rats running by all day and at NIGHT!
No human should have to live this way!
Something has to be done. Please! Please! Help!
