Oak Creek Homes is the most unethical company I've ever dealt with. We went to the Huntsville TX store at the request of a friend who had recently gone to work there. He is a good guy and had, at that time, not seen the bad side of this company. I didn't want to do business with a friend so we opted to work with the manager. We were told that the house we wanted to build/buy was a "go" and were given the price. During this entire process, getting our salesperson to return calls or texts was a nightmare. When we did get her, we were told that all was good and the house was in line to be built. We closed last Wednesday, contract signed and money down. The closing documents had the wrong demensions (we added a 4" stretch) so they just marked through them and hand wrote the correct ones! Two days later we're told 1. Our salesperson had quit and 2. Oak Creek would not be building our house and where should they send the check. They had our money since Thanksgiving and this occurred Jan. 20th. We closed and signed a contract! We called all the way to the top and were basically told we were [protected]@&$ outta luck. My family and I wasted 3 months with this unethical company. Don't fall victim to the same thing. Go elsewhere, these folks are crooks.
After purchasing the manufactured home from Oak Creek in Houston, TX in Feb of 2019, they delivered and set the home in March and sent out multiple crews to assemble and make-ready the home throughout March and April of 2019. We had a major leak in May of 2019 through the kitchen vent hood that was reported to the office on May 9th, 2019. They put me in contact with the warranty dept and sent out a subcontractor to assess and repair the leak a week later. It leaked again on September 19, 2019 in the same location and we contacted them again. They did not respond nor send anyone out. I paid out of pocket to patch the leak myself. I contact them again 2/8/2020 through 8/10/2020 and again 2/1/2021 (and multiple times after that) before they responded but did not send anyone out again until 10/3/2021. Another subcontractor came out and made repairs to the roof. At this point there were 3 different areas with signs of a roof leak. 12/18/2021 I contacted them again as the leak was not repaired and water was coming into the house once again, not only in the same place but two others as well. I have reached out multiple times with their last response being 12/30/2021
“Mr. CXxXXX,
I’ll reach out to the technician I assigned this work order to so we can get you an update on his schedule and when to expect him at your home.
Thank you, Audrey XXXX”
After posting this, contacting their Corp office, and a lawyer, they finally sent out another crew and fixed the leaks. So far so good…no evidence of leaks after the last downpour on Tues 1/25/23
They look beautiful when they show them to you, but when they are delivered to you, they are pure cheap material, they are given to you with many imperfections. I am disappointed in this company
I feel very disappointed 😔
All the material they used for the house is very poor quality, cabinets, moldings, toilet , shower , I have only lived there for a month and they are damaged
Looks like poor work on the make-ready crew. Did you already sign off on the completion ticket? If not, call them back out to fix all those items. I’d “blue tape” everything and have them fix it. Recaulk, repaint, adjust the door, etc.
