This company has the worst customer service i have ever experienced. The claims department is horrble and the agents never return phone calls or answer the phones. I had an accident on july 3rd and i didn't get a response from the company in three weeks. I had to hunt my agent down in order to speak to her. The supervisor received several phone calls from me asking him to please call me and i never heard from him. Over this company is quick to take your money but is a nightmare when it comes to making a claim or customer service.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.

Joe Chelli Extention 170 and Christina Extention 185, will never return your call. I too have had an unsatisfactory experience with this company. A man, who was insured by Ocean Harbor Casualty, ran into my parked car. I have left countless voicemails without a return phone call. I have also faxed four times requesting the same information that I call for without avail. After two months of this I have filed a complaint with the Insurance Commissioners office and I will give this a chance. If not, I will file a claim with the court house against the Insured.
We are having the same problems. No returned calls. I am going to file a complaint with Insurance Commissioners office as well. They seam like a fraudulent company!
I am also having trouble with this insurance company. Their insured customer wrecked her into my house! I have been trying to speak with a CSR since Nov 2010 it is now Feb 2011 no one will take a call and I have left more than 50+ message, They do not call back! Sent me a letter stating they would pay $1500.00 to have my house repaired if I sign a release! The damage is SO much more than that! They are UNFREAKING BELIEVABLE!
I also have had a horrible experience with this company! I am living on the west coast of Florida and their company is located on the east coast, making this process all the more difficult. I was in an accident while stopped at a red light hit by a young girl who was on her phone not paying attention. This was in mid-December of 2010 and it is now about April of 2011 and they have not once picked up a single phone call nor returned a phone call! Its madness, I must have called 50+ times! I am dealing with Hermi (ext 160) and have also left numerous messages with her supervisor! They did send out an appraiser 3 weeks ago (the company the appraiser worked for contacted me, never the insurance company) and I got an estimate on my car and within a week received a letter stating how much money they would be allowing for fixing the damage on my car. At this point I assumed things were finally going to get rolling. So right away I went in to a local collision place and made a date to bring my car in and was glad to get this over with. Both I and the collision center faxed the Pearl Harbor the signed acceptance letters of the damage saying we accepted their offer. Mine stated to send the check directly to the collision center, theirs letting them know that they would be able to fix car for said cost. Anyway, come to find out today that the letters that were faxed 2 weeks ago have not yet been put in the Pearl Harbors records and I have therefore "not accepted" their offer. I took my car in today to get fixed as I had scheduled but am now going to have to 1. pay the costs myself and (hopefully) be reimbursed at a later time, and 2. I am not able to get a rental car through Pearl Harbor until they recognize that I have accepted their payment offer.
Bottom line: they are ridiculously slow about putting information through, and their customer service and contact with me has been horrendous and ultimately, nonexistent.

I got an estimate for my vehicle 4 weeks ago. I still have not heard anything back. I have called numerous of times leaving several voice mails. No return phone call, I spoke to a customer rep and they told me that they were waiting for their insured driver drivers info? They can not send out the check unless they get that info. IT IS THEIR DRIVER, THEY HAVE THE POLICE REPORT, THEY NEED INFO ON THEIR DRIVER? If she doesnt send in the info I will never get my check to fix my vehicle. i have been dealing with Pearl Holding Group since Dec 27 today is Jan 28 and i think i have called my assigned adjuster (hermi) ext 160 well over 100X documented i have left tons of messages and i have NEVER receivd a call back from her or her supervisor or anyone else. This company is the biggest piece of garbage EVER... i was hit by one of their drivers and have not received any information from this ins. If you are currently insured with Ocean Harbor Insurance/Pearl Holding Group, you better hope you don't get into an accident! They have no interest in providing you with coverage. They only want your money! It will take you months of litigation to get anything out of them. They will put up every obstacle and make it impossible for you to get your car repaired and your medical bills payed. These individuals should have their state insurance license investigated and or revoked. These people are nothing more than white collar criminals using state laws to rip you off! 10/10/13 was rear ended and have left 63 messages to supervisors ad claim adjuster. Customers service is rude. I was told my vehicle will get fixed when it gets fixed. I will soon have to pay storage on my car at the shop. This is the wost customer service I have ever experienced. my car lender is even calling them, and they cant get threw. They wont let you or give you a corporate executive to file a complaint with. what do you do at this point who do you complain to. I was told if I kept calling and complaining they would put off fixing my car. Im pissed.
I recently got into a car accident, causing property damage to a landscaping business and fracturing my clavicle. When i called to claim the accident, Ocean Harbor tells me that at this moment I'm not insured with them and that i can not claim the accident since my policy has expired, which in turn was brand new information. A few arguments later i find out that the renewal money i had sent in two months prior to the accident was late and they did not accept it for the new policy. My first response would have been an understanding sure, that can easily be dealt with, but it is two months later i sent in the renewal money, with no calls or statements, paper notes or even my money specifically back in my hands. During the stressful phone calls with the claims department, they argued saying they had sent the money back, but i had not received anything in the mail. So, i asked for the tracking number, tried to locate the lost money, and still nothing, basically telling me they have no idea where it was. Moments and more arguing go by and finally they put me on hold, come back and tell me, "ah yes we have it here, we will send it to you now." Which, helps my situation in almost no way possible since they still claimed me as an uninsured motorist and refused to claim the accident, but held my renewal money without my awareness for a longer period of time then it should have. Ocean harbor's only argument was that they mailed it to the address they have listed, but with my moving IN THE BEGINNING OF THAT YEAR, i had requested the post office to send all my mail to said location, and of course that is where i receive all mail sent, giving them no excuse for not properly mailing back my renewal money on time when apparently they should have had my new said address since that is where i send all my mail from. Nevertheless no other paper, document, or money form sent was "never found" or "misplaced" before, but all of a sudden my renewal money gets lost? This company and their rude customer service, inability to call, lack of attentiveness, and amazing ability to refuse people's claims but hold onto their money is simply disgusting and shameful.

I really don't understand why these people are still in business. My husbands van was parked and at 3AM their insured driver was driving under the influence of alcohol/drugs and ran into my husband's PARKED vehicle. We were not in town at the moment and the police ordered that the van be towed because they said it was clearly a total loss. The police took their insured driver to jail for DUI and property damage. Sounds like an open and shut case right? NOOOO they are giving my husband the run around. Herminia at ext 160 does not answer her phone, they refuse to handle the situation, no rental van/truck for my hubby, and they are not paying the storage fee. Now the towing company is threatening to sell his van which by the way is full of tools. I am so disgusted!
Go to SUNBIZ.org, search by name Ocean Harbor Casualty, select the active name, you will see the names of the officers, one is here on Fisher Island, the others in NY: can write/call them! That may get their attention. I am having exactly the same problems, no responses after sending all the info. Their insured, who hit me while I was stopped at traffic signal, is not in the country. I have filed a complaint with the BBB for the South Fla area and sent an inquiry to Florida Dept of Insurance, asking how to file a complaint with the Insurance Commissioner against this company.

My car was stolen, and recovered 2 months ago. It got smashed on the drivers side by the cops while trying to stop the thief. I called so many times left so many messages, no one called me back. I have done everything they asked me to do. I got a letter from Ocean Harbor on the 25th saying I had till the 28th to go get my car out of the place they were keeping it or I will have to pay the tow and storage fees. I have Progress Insurance and the claims adjuster knows this company all too well. Said I should just use their insurance and pay the deductible for peace of mind.. My daughter was involved in an accident where Ocean Harbor's insured ran a red light and totaled her car. Today has been exactly 30 DAYS and I'm still getting the run-around from this company. They are he RUDEST, NASTIEST AND IMCOMPETENT BUNCH OF IDIOTS that I have ever spoken to. Their excuse is that there are "conflicting stores" because their insured said my daughter ran the red light when A WITNESS AT THE SCENE TOLD THE POLICE THEIR INSURED CLEARLY RAN THE RED LIGHT. I had to do all the "investigative" work for them from obtaining the long form police report to getting in touch with the witness (the adjuster said she wasn't able to reach him). These people act in BAD FAITH in violation of Florida Statutes 624.155 - Google the statute to read it in it's entirety. Well, here it is 2015, and I see comments since 2010 of people going through the exact same thing we are dealing with. I work for a plaintiff's personal injury law firm and in my 25 years int the business across the south, I have never encountered such incompetence in an insurance/adjusting company. Pearl Holding Group needs to be fired by Ocean Harbor. Although, if they can't see that by now, I have to assume they are in on it with Pearl Holding Group. People, please do your research before you buy auto insurance, or ask questions to your agent about everything that you do not understand before signing your name to something. You may think cheap insurance is the best, but in the long run, you will pay. They will continue to not answer or return your calls (they don't even answer or return attorney calls), they will continue to make up excuses to deny your claim, and you will end up being the loser. Clearly the Florida Department of Insurance will not close this business down, or revoke their license, because the same complaints have been happening since 2010 (at least according to this site) and zero has changed. They even have complaints on the BBB and nothing has changed. All we can hope for now is karma to get all of these people (Celli, Riley, etc.) because clearly the proper channels and agencies can't even get them to change their ways. It is a sad situation.
I have been doing some research on ocean harbor insurance because I have not had the best experience at all. I was recently involved in an accident by their insured and their insured was issued a citation because they were at fault. I called to file a claim and they blantly told me that a rental would not be provided until they are in possession of my vehicle, which that is something that I understand. However, my vehicle was towed from the scene to a tow yard and sat there for a week in a day. They finally moved it but they did not advised me as to where they moved it to. The only reason why I knew the vehicle was moved was because I called the tow yard. The representative from the tow yard advised me that my vehicle was moved but they did not give any information as to where the car being towed to. I have called numerous of time only to get the run around. My claims adjuster is Luis Velez ext 197 he never returns any of my calls although I left numerous messages for him and his supervisor. I have hired an attroney to step in as I am not getting any where with them. How do you tow someones car and not advised them as to where you are taking their vehicle. I agree with everyone who has posted here. This company needs to shut down for poor business practice. I pray that everything gets settled as it has been very expensive getting around with no transportation on top of the fact I am still making payments on a car that I am NOT in possession of at the moment and I do not know where it is. I am going to do further research and continue to make complaints until something is done this is ridiculous and people should not be treated this especially if their insured was deemed at fault. We should be rendered proper services instead of being treated as though we are an inconvenience.

An Ocean Harbor Casualty policy holder smashed into my car and totaled it on Nov. 4, 2015. Harbor sent a representative out to take pictures of my car and deemed it totaled. It is now Jan. 18, 2016 and I have not received a response from them (I've probably left 50+ messages). When I do call, I'm placed on hold for 30-45 minutes before being told that the agent managing the case is not available. What can I do?

This insurance company is a JOKE! Debbie Muniz statement coordinater was the most distasteful woman I've ever encountered in customer service! I do not recommend this company to anyone!
