I recently made a purchase of 9 LP's from Oldies.com and unfortunately, only 2 of them were playable. The other 7 were so warped that they were beyond playability. I was really disappointed and frustrated with the situation. However, I decided to give their customer service a call to see if they could help me out.
I spoke to a representative who assured me that they would hand pick the best copies of the 7 unplayable records and send them to me within a week. I was relieved and satisfied with this solution, so I hung up the phone. However, to my dismay, no records ever arrived. I decided to give them a call again and this time, I spoke to Bernie who runs this particular department. Bernie also assured me that they would hand pick out the best copies of the 7 cereal bowl shaped records that they sent me. I waited patiently for the records to arrive, but once again, I received nothing.
Feeling frustrated and disappointed, I decided to call a third time. However, this time I was told that I needed to wait and call back when Bernie was there. At this point, I had lost all confidence in Oldies.com and was convinced that they were just not interested in helping me at all. It was really disappointing to have such a negative experience with a company that I had high hopes for.
If you're looking for damaged and unplayable albums and enjoy being lied to, then Oldies.com might be the place for you. However, if you're looking for a company that values their customers and takes pride in their products, I would suggest looking elsewhere. Mixed Experience with oldies.com Vinyl LP Records: A Review
I was looking for some good old vinyl LP records and stumbled upon oldies.com. The prices seemed fair, so I decided to order 6 albums. However, my experience with this website was not entirely positive.
First of all, I received 2 identical albums instead of the 2 different ones I had ordered. To make matters worse, one of those albums was so badly warped that it was unplayable. The other one was also warped, but not as badly. Then, when I opened the Night Ranger "Big Life" album, I was shocked to see that the record looked like someone had taken a bite out of it! The previous owner must have known about this, as the broken pieces were nowhere to be found. The Sad Cafe album I bought was also cupped so badly that I could have used it as a dog bowl. And to top it all off, the Tony Banks album, which was still in its shrink wrap, was filthy and the wrap was literally baked onto the album cover. I had to clean it thoroughly before I could even think about playing it.
Needless to say, none of the albums played properly and I was very disappointed. I gave oldies.com a poor review on their site, and to my surprise, I was contacted by Bernie, who apologized and promised me a full refund. I received the refund within 24 hours, which was a relief.
Although I appreciated the prompt response and the refund, I am now hesitant to order from oldies.com again. Maybe I'll wait until I see more positive reviews before I give them another chance.
All in all, my experience with oldies.com was not great, but at least they made an effort to make things right. If you're looking for some old vinyl records, you might want to consider other options before giving oldies.com a try.
Poor Customer Service and Lost Package: My Experience with Oldies.com
I done ordered from this company a few times. I got me the Godfather Trilogy and a book about movie speeches. They sent me an email saying my movies was delivered to my mailbox. But when I checked, they wasn't there. I waited a few days and went to my local post office. They tracked the package and saw that it was near my apartment complex but didn't know which box it was in. I called Oldies and the first person I talked to was real mean to me. I asked to speak to someone who might care about my little situation. They put me on hold for a long time, so I hung up and called back. The next person was a little nicer but still said it wasn't their problem and I had to talk to the post office. But I already done that! I went back to the post office and they couldn't do nothing except look in the back to see if it was there. It wasn't. I called Oldies again and the person said they wouldn't send me another set of DVDs and wouldn't give me my money back. It was only $18, but they didn't care. I don't recommend buying nothing from these rude people.

I asked to be transferred to someone who could help, but was only sent to a voicemail box. I left a message and never received a call back. I understand that it was the holiday season, but December 30th is a regular working day and I expected better customer service.

I placed an order on November 22nd, 2015, a month before Christmas, for a book called The BMW Book which was priced at $90. The website claimed that the book was in stock and available with 4-12 day shipping. However, around the first week of December, I realized that my order was still processing. I sent an email to customer service to inquire about my order. A few days later, I received a response saying that they were forwarding my concerns to a supervisor. Unfortunately, this supervisor never got back to me, so I sent another follow-up email. But, it went unanswered.
On a Sunday, I decided to call customer service and spoke with a representative named Jenn. She was nice but couldn't help me since the warehouse was closed on weekends. I was disappointed that no one was willing to help me. The next day, I called back and talked with Bernie. He was also very well-meaning and apologetic, but no one was offering any real answers. He said he had to check with a supervisor about my order and he would call me back. When he did call me back, he was very apologetic but still had no answers for me other than to call back tomorrow and talk with a supervisor in the morning.
A few hours later, realizing I now have only SEVEN days to get a present instead of a month and a half, I called back requesting a refund from Todd who told me the item was indeed out of stock. I was extremely frustrated that they put something for sale on their site when they didn't have it. They should have contacted me on November 24th to tell me this. Upon requesting a refund, I was informed that he could not do PayPal refunds and I would have to call back the next day to talk with Dennis, the ultimate supervisor who can handle PayPal returns. He seemed unmoved like this was common practice.
I am very upset with the way this company handled my order. They offered nothing in addition to keep me as a customer, and their apologies were dry. A month ago, a few other places had this book in stock, but now nobody does, and I'm stuck without a Christmas gift for this guy I really wanted to charm.
This company lacks organizational structure, refuses to empower their customer service reps to actually help, and practices shady business practices (listing items as in stock, when they are actually not). I would advise others to avoid this company like the plague. They still have my money, but thankfully PayPal should be able to back me.

Duplicate charge for one item
On July 12. I ordered the "Blaze" blu-ray for $23.97. Then on Wednesday July 19, was charged again. I emailed them twice to complain about the SNAFU. They blocked my email. How do I know? 'Cause it kept going to trash. I already reported them to my credit card agency. I'm this close to filing a fraud charge against them if they don't refund my 2nd charge of 23.97 back to my account by next week or the week after. That is illegal. It's fraud. I'm not playing with them! If I have to, I will sue.
Desired outcome: Just gimme my 23.97 back okay so I don't have to file charges.
The 2nd charge was refunded. Simply put.

I then tried to cancel the order altogether, but was told that it couldn't be done once it had started being processed. The customer service representative informed me that I could return the product once I received it, but I wasn't too keen on that idea. I mean, if they couldn't process the order, why couldn't they just cancel it? It seemed like they were going back and forth on the payments, which was causing me a lot of frustration.
Eventually, the money was put back into my account, but a few days later, it was removed again. At this point, I was getting pretty fed up with the whole situation. I mean, if they couldn't process the order, why were they still trying to charge me for it? It didn't make any sense to me.
I even considered canceling my card just to stop them from removing and adding money from my account. It was just too much of a hassle. I was told that the order couldn't be processed, but then I was told that it couldn't be canceled either. It was all very confusing and frustrating.
In the end, I never did receive the product, and I never got my money back. It was a disappointing experience, to say the least. I wouldn't recommend Oldies.com to anyone based on my experience.
Karate kid & big trouble in little china dvds
I purchased over 10 DVDs from this website to set aside for my daughter each year for her birthday. Upon opening her gift, Karate Kid, there was no dvd inside! On top of that, I didn't receive one of the DVDs that was "in stock" until 6 months later because it was backordered. Lastly, Free Shipping isn't free to Hawaii no matter how much money is spent.
Talking to customer service agent, Lynn, is like pulling teeth. This company will take your money and run. Their customer service sucks! This company is bad! Buyer beware.

I recently purchased two DVDS from Oldies.com. For some reason, the U.S. Postal Service claimed the address I provided, which is my home address, was undeliverable. Even though I do not understand this, I do not blame Oldies.com. However, Oldies.com has refused to provide me with a full refund. Instead, they have charged me the shipping fee for a package that was never delivered to me.
Desired outcome: I wish to have a full refund.

Ordered the blu ray special edition of after we collided on february 17th and haven't yet had it shipped and when asking for a refund they couldn't proved one for me.

I have waited ten days for an order to be shipped. After calling I was informed that the order would not be shipped for at least three days. That is totally unacceptable. Upon requesting the order be canceled the customer service representative informed me the only recourse was to deny the shipment. The bottom line is this company has very poor service. False advertising and fraud
Seller offers shipping insurance at an additional cost with purchases, then refuses to honor said insurance when parcels get lost in transit. I purchased an item with FULL shipping insurance, and the item did not arrive. When I contacted the seller, they claimed that the insurance does not cover losses, only damaged items. This supposed "policy" is not listed anywhere on their website, and the insurance does say FULL shipping insurance

They ship orders selectively. You never know whether your order arrives or not. And it sucks.
I ordered from them 4 times and 2 out of them were failed, because these cowboys didn't ship anything and it meant I paid money for nothing.
Each time I opened disputes and it was the only way to refund. If I didn't do it, it would take a long time to get the money back.

Placed order by phone on Dec 8th, still hadn't received order on Dec.15th.Wife placed call to find out when we could expect order since it was a Christmas present. She was told it was being sent through "media mail" and would take 2 wks. I am familiar with "media mail" and would have UPGRADED the shipping if I was told that the order was being shipped "media mail"! She asked gentleman if the order had already shipped and was told he "had no way of knowing because there wasn't any tracking # he only knew it was billed on the 14th." That's 6 DAYS AFTER the order was placed ! Then, I receive a e-mail today, the 17th of Dec. that my order was shipped today ! (media mail of course). Oldies.com customer service SUCKS ! PERIOD. Incompetence.
They don't deserve your business. I am not writing this review to get a coupon or some other B.S. from them. I want the public to know their service sucks. I live in Pennsylvania not far from them, and it wouldn't cost piddly to ship 1st class. I wouldn't have cared about the extra cost anyway, since it was a gift. Bill in Pa.

I placed four or five online orders with Oldies.com over the past year, but I won't do it ever again. My last order was screwed up, with an extra copy of one item I had requested, and missing another item I had wanted. When I called customer service to straighten out the problem, I was on hold for a while, and then the guy I finally did get to talk to had to keep putting me on hold and asking me the same questions over and over again in order to try to understand what was wrong with the order. Eventually, he assured me that the item missing from the order would be replaced. That was weeks ago, and guess what? The lost item has never been replaced, and now they've lost a customer, too.
