False advertising and theft of payment
I purchased a rim off their website which was supposed to be on sale. They offered it to me with a 12% off discount which the code I was given didn't even work. 2 weeks went by and I hadn't received anything besides a confirmation of my payment. I spoke with customer service and I was told that it was at another warehouse and they had to get in contact them and to give them 2 days and they would get it out to me and that they would send me an email when it was sent. Then almost a week later I received a email stating the price was going to up from the manufacturer and that I would have to pay more. I contacted them again and I got a response from them staying that they would make this right and give them 48 hrs and they voided my order and took my money and changed the price on the site after they did it . I still haven't heard anything from them nor have I received my money back. This is not good business and I won't be using them ever again.
Desired outcome: I would've rathered them honor the sell price and send me the rim because I needed it. If not, just please refund my money and have someone fined for this. I thought this was illegal in California..
They are the worst ever! Never again!
I was a long time customer of Online Car Stereo but they disappointed me a lot and I will never buy anything from them again. I've purchased a speaker system and it broke after a month! I went online and found their phone number. Their rep promised they'll fix everything so I paid for the shipping and sent everything back. About two weeks later they contacted me and said that they were not able to fix the system and offered me to buy another one! Are you kidding me? I asked for a refund and they said that it was already too late. They are the worst ever! Never again!
Almost all stuff is unavailable
Don’t order from the scamming company www.onlinecarstereo.com. I ordered from them stereo and it was mentioned that it was in stock. After I paid and got the confirmation info, it turned out that my order was sold out and the seller couldn’t tell, when it would be available. I decided to return money, but the seller found different excuses and promises in order not to return my money. These people are scammers and liars, who take money and provide nothing. Total waste of time and money
Received JL Audio G4500 amp without having a serial number attached to the amp or it's box. The amp was defective when received and had to be sent to the manufacturer, JL Audio, for repair. The amp was repaired as a non warranty product with added charge to repair due to the unit being without a serial number. Would have been less expensive by initially purchasing from an authorized JL Audio dealer, as the cost to ship and repair by JL Audio was relative to initial cost of unit from onlinecarstereo. Total waste of time and money.
I purchased a speaker from this company. It took two weeks for me to get it. After having it professionally installed the speaker proved to be faulty. I contact the company they told me to send it back to them and that I was responsible for return shipping on a 35 pound package across the country with insurance and confirmation. I sent it back to them. Two weeks after they received it I called to see why I hadn't received my speaker back yet. They told me "they hadn't even scanned it in yet and it would be another two weeks before it got scanned in and then they would make a decision as to wether or not they would send out a replacement." It has now been five weeks since I placed my order. Meanwhile I have been dying to get this speaker in my car has no music until this speaker is reinstalled.
