Bad care!
Bad care! So bad! My mom went to the ER and they had to do emergency surgery for her gallbladder. The room was a mess and nobody helped her. It was a terrible experience! What happened to this big hospital? They don't take care of their patients! She will never go back there, never! It was dirty!
Our Lady of the Lake Hospital is a mess
Our Lady of the Lake Hospital is a mess. I went there for a urinary tract and kidney infection, and I waited almost 3 hours to be seen in the emergency room. I arrived at 2:00 pm and left after the pain got much worse. Later that night, I received a call at 12:30 am asking why I left. Can you believe it? I would have waited for 10 and a half hours to be seen. This hospital needs to be closed down!
The nurses in the ER are not good
The nurses in the ER are not good. They are mean and don't care. I know they are busy but they should at least pretend to care. They just wait for the doctor's orders. The nurses don't check on you. They just walk around and talk to each other. They won't even give you water. I was in the ER for 7 1/2 hours and talked to 6 different doctors who didn't know what they were talking about. I had to wait for the hospital doctor to come in and admit my mom. The nurses only bring pills every 2 hours. They don't give you food or drinks and they don't give you anything to clean yourself with. They left my mom in CT for over 1 1/2 hours. They didn't even know she was gone. The janitors don't clean the rooms properly. The room was supposed to be clean but the trash can was full. They use the same dirty mop water for each room. They didn't give my mom the right equipment but luckily I had my own. Now my mom is back in the ER because she fell and hit her head. She had a small bleed on her CT but they won't do an MRI. My mom is confused now and they won't help her. I will sue them for this.
I went to the hospital 'cause my heart was racing, I was feeling tired, nauseous, and my feet hurt
I went to the hospital 'cause my heart was racing, I was feeling tired, nauseous, and my feet hurt. I was confused and slow. I told them it started a couple of days ago after work when I was trying to sleep. I thought it was tachycardia 'cause I had it before.
They did an EKG, chest x-ray, and blood tests. On the way to the x-ray, I had a bad cramp. I waited in the waiting room until they had a room for me. A PA came in and checked me out. When I sat up, I had another cramp. She said she'd order fluids, but they never came. I was in pain and couldn't move.
Dr. *** came in and said I was having a panic attack and my symptoms were in my head. He said I needed to see a psychiatrist and gave me a prescription for Vistaril. I told him I didn't think it was a panic attack, but he didn't listen. He said I'd have a real emergency one day and wouldn't get help 'cause of my panic attacks.
He left, and I was told to leave. I felt bad but went home. The next day, I had a headache, dry mouth, cramps, and nausea. I went to work but felt worse. I realized I was dehydrated and got better after fluids.
Dr. *** didn't think of dehydration and said my symptoms were in my head. I'll complain to the hospital and other places. It's not malpractice, but it's not right.

Lakes change in policy
I have been a patient of Dr Whitfield‘s for 20+ years during that time. I have a pinched nerve that he had prescribed a pain medication for. Recently, the lake has changed and now I need to see a pain doctor problem is I was sent to the wrong doctor it’s been almost 2 1/2 months. I still have no medication nor doctor to help me, Dr. Whitfield’s office has been very helpful and tried to assist me with this problem. However, it is your policy that is caused my issues! I do not know who decided to take away pain medication from patients who have been taking it for over 20 years I do not abuse my medication and less her person would’ve probably become an addict by now as I am in pain, but have no assistance with it. it was very irresponsible for you to make these decisions without thinking about what it would do to the patient
Desired outcome: I really would like a doctor to talk to me about my pain and my medication needs

Our Lady of the Lake Hospital billed me for something my son's insurance already paid for
Our Lady of the Lake Hospital billed me for something my son's insurance already paid for. I found out they put me in collections for $2,651.00. My son had Medicaid and they used it to take him to a treatment center. They shouldn't be billing me and Medicaid.
I was in the hospital since 6/29 and got a letter in December saying I was 200 days late on my bill
I was in the hospital since 6/29 and got a letter in December saying I was 200 days late on my bill. That's not true. I called Billing on 1/28/22 and talked to *** who was rude. I asked for a manager, but she said no. I called again and talked to *** who was nice. He said he was a manager. I asked why they said I was 200 days late when I wasn't. He said he couldn't see the letters. I asked again and he said okay. I asked a third time and he said okay again.

I got a lil postcard in the mail, all wet n torn up from the Denham Springs post office
I got a lil postcard in the mail, all wet n torn up from the Denham Springs post office. It was a check from FMOL Health Systems for $116.79. I tried to open it but it was too damaged. I took it to OLOL Hospital like they asked and they pieced it back together. I been tryna get a new check but they keep tellin me to wait 2 weeks, 3 weeks, 5 weeks. They say it's from a 2018 EKG and mighta been an overcharge. I been callin and callin but they just keep givin me the runaround. I got 3 doctors there and more to come but I can't deal with this poor service. They admitted they got the damaged check but they ain't doin nothin bout it. This been goin on since before 10/8 when I brought the check in. I'm so frustrated and they don't seem to care. Please help me out and let me know when they send the new check.
I got approved in 2019 for 100% financial aid and they said they'd pay me back
I got approved in 2019 for 100% financial aid and they said they'd pay me back. But now I'm in collections and I need help. I was in the hospital in October and I didn't know my parents were getting divorced. My insurance was supposed to cover everything but then I found out the next year that they dropped me. But they said everything was already paid for. Then in April , I started getting calls and letters saying I owed thousands to OLOL. I set up a payment plan and paid as much as I could. I called them every day to try to figure out what to do. They stopped billing me little by little but I still got some bills I shouldn't have. I complained and talked to supervisors but nothing happened. Then in April , I got sent to a debt collector and they won't leave me alone even though I sent them the letter that said I was approved. Lady of the Lake knows what's going on but they don't care. I sent emails and voicemails but they won't respond. The debt collectors asked me to call them but I get the same answers as before. I really need help now. The letter I sent shows that they owe me money for anything that's not a non-standard deposit. I paid a lot of money and I'm pregnant and I spent so much time dealing with this. They should give me my money back.
I paid OLOL RMC over the phone in 12
I paid OLOL RMC over the phone in 12. But now, in 2020, Transfinancial debt collector is after me for the same payment. They say that OLOL gave them the bill as unpaid. I paid $173.28 on 12/26 and it was taken from my checking account on 12/28. I even have proof of the cashed check and bank statement. But Transfinancial says OLOL doesn't have a record of payment and that the bank doesn't match. I talked to Capital One and they confirmed that the payment was made. But when I called OLOL billing department, they said they don't know if it was paid or not because they have a new system now. They transferred me to Transfinancial and they said they have to go by what OLOL tells them. I called Transfinancial again and they said their computer system is down. I don't know what to do now. I might contact the ComplaintsBoard.com. I don't want this to affect my credit.
hey, so i went to our lady of the lake hospital on 11/18
hey, so i went to our lady of the lake hospital on 11/18. they said there would be two charges, one for the doc and one for the hospital. the doc charged me $341 and the hospital charged me $659. the doc gave me some options and i decided to do a diagnostic surgery since i already met my deductible. i had the surgery on 12/10 and had to go back on 12/21 to get the stints removed. then i had a follow-up on 01/06 and the doc charged me $176 but the hospital charged me $3,700 which seems crazy. i messaged them on 02/25 and they said they would review it. on march 15 they said the charges were right and to call if i had more questions. i had another appointment on 03/17 and called them because $3,700 is too much. they said they would review it and call me back but they never did. i called multiple times and they always said the same thing, that they would review it and call me back. i had another appointment on 07/21 and that was more reasonable. but then in september i got a letter saying they were sending the bill to collections. i called and they said they would put a 30-day hold on it but then they sent it to collections anyway. i've talked to collections but they never call me back. i finally called the doc's office and they explained the charges to me but it still doesn't make sense. the lack of communication and the way they've treated me has been really frustrating. i'm still trying to get this sorted out.
