Stalled Microwave Replace/Repair
After 5 months of use, my microwave stopped working -- highly charred on the inside with shattered glass platter and burned out magnetron. Now I realize any first reaction diagnosis would be: something was on the platter that caused concentration of microwaves, and I got what I deserved. However nothing else was in the machine, there was no loud flash or explosion. I further realize that having used the timer feature earlier that day simply reinforces such a diagnosis -- in effect saying we just pushed the wrong setting and we got what we deserved, and therefore its not covered under warranty. However I think we would have noticed smoke billowing in the house, had the lights dim, or heard a boom and that did not happen. That tells me something turned on while we were away. Of course there's no way to prove how it got turned on.
A stalemate has been going on for 12 weeks as of this writing between Panasonic's customer service and the authorized repair center I took my microwave to. The repair center has forwarded documentation to PUSA, and PUSA claims they are waiting for the documentation. Repeated calls (now over 5 each to the repair center and PUSA) have not helped. If this is resolved, I will try posting an update. TTM Aug 14, 2012.
Update [protected]: I was informed today (and two weeks ago) that Panasonic has decided to replace my failed microwave, but to allow another 2-3 weeks for delivery to the authorized repair service center where I took my failed unit. (If there's been progress, its that an internal Purchase Order has been generated.) On the bright side, Panasonic called me, not vice versa, and they've promised to update me when the new microwave is shipped and delivered to the repair service center.

Not honoring rebate, not cooperating
Purchased a Panasonic digital camera on April 6, 2012 with a print ad of the same store offering a $50.00 mail in rebate. I was told to claim online. However, the rebate was not found online, had to make 3 trips to the store, still it is not resolved. The store appears to have a policy that the consumer will eventually give up. I think this is a fraud and...
Read full review of PanasonicItem paid but later declared out of stock and then refused to issue an immediate full refund
My son spotted an LCD TV with a price tag of Php 5, 999.00 from their website and he bought the item April 15, 2012 paying with his PayPal to which their system accepted the payment. He followed up the next day on his purchase and the customer support told him that they are processing the item, and again followed up on the third day April 17 and customer support of LAZADA said the will be shipped tomorrow which should be the 18th of April. The next day my son was surprised to get a phone call from an unknown cellphone number saying he was a rep from LAZADA and that they wish to inform him that the item was already "SOLD OUT"!
My son disputed and argued them about the item for 1) Their website had posted the item and 2) They have accepted the payment made on the item and 3) Only after 3 days and after telling him that it was for shipping, then suddenly the item was sold out! Anyway the worst is yet to come. After my son decided not to pursue the item from them, he then demanded for LAZADA to return/refund his payment made through PayPal. Again, another one of those "I think you're stupid and you don't know how Paypal works" was the answer given to my kid; and they told him that it would take SEVEN DAYS for them to process the refund! Now what the hell was that? These jerks don't know that in the business we're in and I mean me and my kid, we use PayPal on a daily basis and doing a refund wouldn't take much more than a "MINUTE" and I mean not even "60 Seconds" of their life to initiate and make the REFUND! Wait...there's more to come.
My kid called them again and told them it was unrealistic for them to tell us that it will take SEVEN FRIGGIN' days to do the refund, and that the fault was not on out end but rather their's. Again the customer support told him that it will take them a couple of days to issue the refund but again my son told them that it's still unacceptable and telling them that we know how PayPal works and everything, even if you're in SLOW EFFIN' MOTION, it still wouldn't take you an hour to issue the refund. After soooooo much apologizing and talking...the customer support informed us that the refund was done and gave us a transaction number of the refund...and also gave us a voucher code worth Php 500.00 for the inconvenience! Again we checked and still the refund has not been issued! He again called customer support, it was a different person on the line, and demanded his refund and they again issued Another Transaction Number that was supposedly the refund made in PayPal, he even told us to disregard the previous number that they gave. And the following day as we checked, there was still no refund in my son's PayPal. My God we know how PayPal works and if you really issued the refund, theres no need for you to be sending us the transaction number since it will be sent automatically by PayPal to our email. We already brought the issue to PayPal since your are blaming PayPal for the delay and they replied there wasn't any refund issued! These people from LAZADA are schemey and liars and they wont give you a direct and honest answer.
At this point I could say that Lazada is a legit online selling company and they have just started operation here in the Philippines and they're still at a stage of resolving and ironing out issues with their operations like their fulfillment end or their shipment provider. We've purchased other several items from them at one time after the TV but they've been arriving at different dates, so they do have problems with their fulfillment. And although I am resolved that Lazada is legit, you just need to do some really good followup when you have done some purchase from them at this stage to get your items immediately. And for everybody out there, it really pays to be skeptical and be cautious always when purchasing online coz' it's a fact we are in a crazy world and there are a lot of crazy people out there.
Well my experience is my experience and It's everyone's right to air what their experience is about their online shopping is and definitely my right to post here. Bottom line here is this is a lesson for any online shopping company. They should learn a thing or two from this issue.
After all the fuss LAZADA decided to ship the item and we're glad my son has received the LCD TV. So you see what a little sincerity can do to make things better. I commend RHEA for going out of her comfort zone and getting in touch with my son directly to inform and assure him that everything is being done to correct this. We know LAZADA is a great online store company and we definitely would be buying again from them and I do mean that "DEFINITELY". But one thing that they must learn from this is they do need to polish on how they handle customers in situations like we had and make the shopping experience with you a more pleasant one.
I apologize to LAZADA for my rant and honestly if it was me in my son's shoes, I would have let this thing go. But it's my son who's involved in this case I will not take anything sitting down, and it's instinct for us parents to act on their defense. So forgive me for my "Father's Wrath Moment". I also apologize that this post could not be deleted and I know for a fact that it will greatly affect any SEO efforts your company is doing, but I'll do everything to get in touch to the admin of this website to have this deleted.
Again, I thank you RHEA for the great effort and I truly can say that LAZADA has a gem in their staff. I thank you LAZADA's customer support for patiently listening to my son's complaint and doing what needs to be done.
It's now 2014. And based on my experience just this month, LAZADA is a SCAM. They are not willing to accept returns and eventually refund what is due.
I was about to order a Sony Ericsson phone from Lazada and I was checking and researching first WHO REALLY OWNS Lazada, I found out that its owned by a certain Rocket Internet Gmbh which means it is a German-based company. Their website is http://www.rocket-internet.de and they were just established in 2007 and states that they support about 20 startups around the world. Nonetheless, I also found a local address which is dubious I might say to just indicate #50 Jupiter St. in Makati City Philippines. It's very risky to put your good hard earned money on a company whose existence is suspect. So I'd rather do a personal face-to-face transaction. Thank you though for airing this out. But everyone out there, beware!
After what happen you still apologizing? Anyways, , I ordered at lazada and almost 1 month now. not very expensive cost but I say they are annoying. Already pay thru paypal. Damn Lazada. Karma will revenge.
Like with any company, issues such as these can happen and can be resolved without the need to post here... nevertheless, your experience just goes to show, how Lazada is doing their best to provide good customer service..

A faulty TV set
The Managing Director
Panasonic India Dated: 27/01/2012
I behold a last ray of hope which is why I decide to narrate my grievance here and anticipate that the higher authorities of the so called multinational giant (Panasonic India) would ponder asymptotically and do the needful.
1. I purchased a Panasonic Plasma TV (Model 42V20) from Paarth Electrotech Dwarka Delhi on 09/03/2011. For the past few days I have been beholding an extremely hazy and blurred picture, with faulty primary colour mixing.
2. As a matter of fact, this TV set had exhibited a series of such problems earlier too (Please refer to the complaints through mails of 14/05/2011, 15/05/2011, 16/05/2011, 17/05/2011 and 18/05/2011 and a complaint No. 014055). The faults prevailed even after the visit of Mr. Ashvini Kapoor of Panasonic India, however on his assurance of complete care of the TV, I continued with this set.
3. When the picture quality and the colours combination got deteriorated to zero tolerance level, I registered a complaint with the company (mail dated 18/01/2012 Ref. No. PI-CS-[protected], and a complaint No 0410070). Consequently, a technician Mr. Shailendra from I-Care workshop visited my premises on 19/01/2012 to examine the TV set. He agreed that the colour amalgamation was faulty, but transferred the blame on airtel, however I had already called the airtel technician on a paid visit to check the connection/signal quality/signal strength and every thing was found to be perfect. I requested him to get my comments on the job sheet but he replied in the negative.
4. Meanwhile my three mails to the company and several calls to the customer care were ignored, and after a tiresome perusal I got a call from Mr. Negi of Panasonic India but by then I had gone for short holidays. I requested Mr. Negi to visit on 27/01/2012 to examine the TV set.
5. I was shocked to receive an SMS from the service centre (i care) on 23/01/2012 that the work against the complaint number 0410070 has been completed to my satisfaction. This implies as if the service engineer had either accomplished the task by a magic stick or would have broken the lock of my premises to complete the job. This exhibits an utter mess and unprofessional attitude of the service centre authorized by Panasonic.
The visit of Mr. Negi on 27/01/2012 was a terrible experience for us. During his nearly 30 minutes stay at my premises in front of the TV set, he tried his level best to befool me and my wife and attempted to prove that the colour mixing was correct though his first impression was that the TV screen was reddish, which in fact is and can be verified.

Plasma TV Poor Quality
I purchased a Panasonic 50" Plasma TV, model # TC-P50G10. The TV only lasted just over 2 years, and it wouldn't turn on again and the power light blinks 5 times when I attempted to turn it on. Bought the TV to one of the authorized repair shop suggested by Panasonic, found out that 3, YES, 3 BAD circuit boards, estimated the repair cost for almost $700, just ridiculous! Panasonic wouldn't stand behind their product, nor cover a portion of the repair cost due to the POOR quality. Ended up throwing that TV away since it's not worth of spending the money, and bought another brand new TV, of course, not Panasonic again! I owned quite a few Panasonic product, but this one just disappointed me. From now on, I would stay away from Panasonic product (other than those Made in Japan), hopefully this can be helpful for some of the people that are looking into buying a Panasonic Plasma TV.

Same problem. Panasonic TC-P50VT25 bought March 2011. Powered off and blinks 10 times. Panasonic phone tech could not tell me what the 10-blink indicates from the diagnostic and says its out of warranty take it to a repair site, they will know. Repairman says its $385 plus parts if I wil bring it over.
I bought my Panasonic 3D Viera TV model TC-P55GT30 on July 6, 2011 (date the TV manufactured in June 2011) from a Best Buy store in Reston, VA. Today I have the same problem, no power, screen blank and the power light blinked. I called Panasonic Customer Service and they said the TV is not cover warranty after a yr. So to this date, the TV last 1 yr and 4 months. Who would think a Panasonic 3D TV last only 1 yr and 4 months? It refused to take responsibility to fix the problem. I would never buy nor recommend anyone from buying any of Panasonic product. After talking to a friend on FB, he said his friend who bought a Panasonic TV also had the same problem. So PANASONIC products been manufactured bad lately? People please check before you buy it.
Customer Gouging
Purchased a HDD Camcorder. Upon getting a new computer and not using the camcorder for awhile I have misplaced the software disc. Panasonic doesn't put their software on their support site for download as most major companies do. They would prefer that you pay them for another disc. I told them about the other companies but no we want to gouge you even more. Stay away from Panasonic products. They're not that good as far as quality goes and it you need any replacement items be prepared to be raked over the coals to pay for them. Needless to say I won't be buying any further products that this company makes.
Stops working/noise sound
I purchased this microwave/CONVECTION OVEN DIMENSION 4 the Genius NN-CD997S in 2009. This was with the CONVECTION/COMBINATION/GRILL/2 LEVEL CONVECTION.and it STOPPED with a very weird noise i don't know what happened but i was frightened, with its last noise & it ceased to work . After contacting Panasonic service center in Riyadh phone no [protected] we took our microwave to them for repair . This was in February2011 !they checked & said to changed the fuse with the Some kind of(parts) Board to be changed which will come dircetly from Japan they took 480 Saudi Riyals from me. I got the microwave back in march...with the same noise coming off & on, now again i took it to them & they are going t fix it with more 350 saudi riyals. now i have finally decide to write Panasonic to refund me my money back .i don't want your any panasonic microwave anymore because you people are not sincerely making things durable & longlasting with quality parts like use to make before .who is responsible for this .I was happy to buy it because it was made in JAPAN.But what the use of it wen its not working?& i have to keep on fixing it even wen i am not mishandling it too. They seem to have inferior products and are very LOW QUALITY PARTS. I will NEVER buy a Panasonic product ever again. Lessons learned TO ME NOW!This situation is with all your cordless phones also which i purchased & repaired too.!

Fire Hazzard
Replacement Microwave caught on fire too!
I under stand that mistakes can happen. However two in a row. About 7 years ago my son cooked a pan in the microwave trashing the microwave. We went to ABC Warehouse and bought our first over the range microwave made by panasonic. One night about 4 years later we went to bed when we woke up next morning the touch pad was melted. Seems touch pad had cut fire sometime in the night but the melted plastic had covered to burning circuit and put itself out. Upset with this I contacted panasonic who at first did not want to do a thing was out of warranty. Well alot of angry words were exchanged they had me drop microwave off at RSI appliance center . A few weeks went by didn't hear anything so I called service center. Was told unit had to sent to panasonic and I would not be getting it back. I called panasonic gave claim number they then offered to send me an upgraded model free of charge as this one was defective and no longer in manufacture. Which I accepted. New model at first all was working great. As time passed I noticed cooling feature coming on for longer periods of time. I did call was told not to worry. About 3 months ago I called manufacture regarding a slight buzzing noise. Was told no longer under warranty probably turn table gear sticking or something on track. So tonight 8/8/2011 we were making dinner and using microwave which has not been making noise in a while. Then we hear a loud grinding noise daughter standing in front of micro starts yelling what is that? I reply did you turn garbage disposer on by accident turn it off...Wasn't the garbage disposal. Microwave started pouring black smoke out of vents. Needless to say even though fire was small and contained to microwave wiring again. Fire deptment left but stated as long as it is unplugged won't catch fire again. I just want it off the wall and outside cause I don't trust it. Anyway I would love to send this non warranteed microwave to a lab to dismantle and find the defect. I unsterstand microwaves don't last forever but come on I am back to using a model that is over 10 years old from a different manufacturer. As I sit here in a house filled with the scent of burnt plastic and melted wires I catch myself wondering how many others are having this same issue?

I have a panasonic 1100w I purchased over a year ago from walmart. Everything was fine then last night I set the timer for 4 min and went to do something else. I left it figuring it would finish its cycle and shut off allowing the food to cool. I heard a snap from the other room and even though there was no time on the time the microwave had continued causing the food to actually catch fire, burned the inside of the microwave and set off all of the smoke alarms I had to unplug it to get it to stop. Th e appliance is no good and even if it was ok I do not trust it and will not be replacing with another panasonic when I go to get another one tonight

VHS to DVD Recorders fail way too soon
I copied exactly 34 VHS tapes onto DVD discs with my brand new Panasonic DVD Recorder DMR-ES30V when the VHS heads failed. Panasonic charged me $70 to replace it with a REBUILT DMR-EZ48V, basically a model that had already failed before for someone else. The rebuilt machine heads failed after copying only 16 tapes. I called Panasonic technical support and was told by a technician that the VHS portion of this recorder model was known to fail early. However, they wrote to me and refused to help me since the rebuilt machine was only covered by a 90 day warranty. Well dah! If the original machine had not failed early, then I would not have had to pay for a replacement machine that also failed. Now I'm stuck.

will not play Blue-Ray discs
Purchased a Panasonic Blue-Ray Disc Home Theater Sound System in Oct 2009. By Dec 2009 it was back in the store purchased to send in to Panasonic for repairs. It will play DVD's but not Blue-Ray discs. Returned almost 2 months later, no word of the work being done or if anything was found. Returned in Feb 2010, by March of 2010 I was emailing Panasonic, it played 2 Blue-Ray discs & stopped playing again. I even put back in the same Blue Ray disc it just played & it wouldn't play it! Panasonic send a Firm Ware upgrade disk, it was installed. Tried to play another Blue Ray & it won't play. Emailed Panasonic again with another upgraded Firm Ware disc sent. I installed it - and again Blue Ray discs will not play. The error is "no disc found" or "disc not compatable".
How many times do we have to contact Panasonic before they realize its a lemon & they replace it? Customer Service says they will refer my request & I am just to sit & wait. Now the warrenty is out, how do I get a replacement for an item that no one wants to help with?
NOT FUNCTIONING PROPERLY
I purchased a Panasonic Home Theater (Model SCPT 470) from Sarat Bose Road’s Panasonic Shoppe, as the sales person Mr. Kunal told me that 470 is better than 480 I completely trust him as Panasonic man and bought 470 model but your this system is not supporting most of the CDs (Original), these CDs are playing normally on other DVDs but PT470 cant read it or some picture is coming in smaller size in my new Panasonic Plazma TV where as other DVDs playing normally (SONY / PIONEER / SAMSUNG / HAIER ETC) YOUR SERVICE PERSONNEL ALSO SEE THE THING, HE TOOK THE DVD, BUT NEXT DAY HE CAME AND TOLD ME, PANASONIC CANT SOLVE THE PROBLEM, I ALSO ASKED HIM THAT PLS SPECIFY WHAT TYPE OF DVD WILL PLAY IN YOUR SYSTEM, HE CAN NOT GIVE A REPLY – I LODGED A COMPLAIN ON YOUR TOLL FREE NO 18.10.2010. (Complain No. is 022555). My only fault is I bought your product while all, yes all the leading retailers of Kolkata told me not to by Panasonic Sound System and worst service amongst electronic companies, I did not listen to them.
Is there any solution?

Subject Complaint Registration NO- 019680 Dated: 16.10.2010
Dear Sir,
This is to state that I hold one of your premium product- 42” Plasma TV purchased on June-2009.
Two days back I noticed that the interface of the plasma went blank. The switch (to switch on/off the plasma) red light was only blinking. I immediately lodged a complaint for the same. The engineer visited my house and without opening the plasma he told me that they need to take the same to the workshop for evaluating the problem and cost. I was surprised that how can one determine the cost without even checking the TV thoroughly.
My concern is as follows,
1. The guarantee period at the time of purchase was 1year, and now it is over by 3.5 months. I should request to be excused for any charges as guarantee is post 3.5 months.
2. The engineer didn’t evaluated the problem and cost at the site and was insistent to take the TV to the workshop
I would like to state that I come from a middle class family and irrespective of this I bought a costly TV because of Panasonic good brand image and paid for this through EMI and never imagined that I need to spend hugely in repair in 16 months of purchase. Earlier I used Panasonic Top Dome 21” and never had any problem with the set for whole 8 years of usage.
I hereby would request you to intervene personally and solve the problem.
Many Thanks in Anticipation.

Poor customer Service/Harrassment
Employee intentionally ignored me as a customer then when he had to deal with me I decided not to deal with him and told him no thank you I would find someone else to help. After I complained to the electronics department supervisor about the poor customer service that I received I was made aware that he was a panasonic rep. and not an emplyee of the KMCC (AAFES) As I walked away with my children this man apprached me to ask me if I had a problem I told him NO it was taken care of and he seemed unsatisfied with my response and procceded to tell me that he was an Army Reservists and that I need to ask for help next time. I told him at that point he needed to get away from me and he did not so I told him he was a piece of ### cause he was harassing me and at that point he said he was contacting Security, which he did. I did not get his name but if that is the type of employee you are outsourcing to the Military community in Germany you need to rethink the type of people you have working for you . I have a few panasonic products but from here on out I will not be making another purchase from this company and will tell friends and family alike to stay away.
Quality of Product - Custome Service
I bought a Panasonic microware oven to replace my old 18-year-old one. Three months later, the unit stops working with a H97 error message, which by the way, would I have done my homework, I would have known this was a very common failure with this product and definitely would have not bought it.
After calling Panasonic technical support, they tell me that I need to bring the unit to an approved repair site. The closest to my house was 1/2 hour away. There was no other option other than auling the bad product to this place. I dropped the unit on a Tuesday. After a week, I called the repair center on a Wednesday and they tell me I might not have my microwave oven back until the following week because the technicial looked at it the day after I dropped it off (Wednesday), the part was ordered the day after (Thursday) and it usually takes 5-10 business days to get the part, which means I will not get my repaired oven back possibly for another week or two. All together over a month without being able to use a product bought only 3 months ago. That is unacceptable and very poor customer service.
Needless to say this will be the last time I or any member of my family will be buying *any* Panasonic product. Not only the product quality is questionable but the hassles this company puts customers through in order to have something that should have not broken that soon to begin with is unacceptable.
I am going to pick up the broken unit and Ebay it to recover some of the money I wasted on this bad product and I will go out to buy a new one which will certainly not be a Panasonic. I am sure glad I did not buy a Panasonic big flat screen T.V.
Warranty, Customer service
Purchased a Lumix DMC-FS25 for my daughter. Midway through a trip to Europe, camera stops working and says "Incorrect battery". Cust. Service says it's covered under warranty, send to service center. Service center says it's scratched on the casing so warranty does not apply. Buyer beware. Unless you plan on leaving your camera in it's box, do not buy a Panasonic camera. Zero customer service. And by the way, camera was not dropped, kicked, thrown, stepped on, sat on etc. Just used normally. Stick to Canon or Nikon!
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
