food
Bought a steak and cheddar sandwhich on lunch break which I only get 15 min for and they gave me something inedible. Looks like some piles 2 slivers of cold steak and dropped a bunch of some odd tasting onions. I don't complain about anything. But when I pay 7 dollars for a piece of bread that looked like the employee wiped his [censored] with I'm gonna be angry.
I ordered a bowl of soup for pick-up with other orders today (order #966311)
I ordered a bowl of bistro French onion soup - in the additional/special instructions it was stated that I wanded a French baguette and 4 butters.
Got the soup and nothing else.
I know you get busy at lunch time, but I don't eat the onion soup without dunking my bread into it. So needless to say, no lunch for me today and out $'s.
Very disappointed in the mistake of such an easy order.

deteriorating service at fargo panera
Service at this location is steadily declining & I am considering discontinuing my almost weekly (or more) use of this facility. Probably this poor service is related to an almost complete turnover in staff in recent months. Not only are wait staff/counter people unfamiliar with what is being ordered & how to ring it up, but they seem unable to understand & follow through on the most explicit of orders. For instance,
1) No matter how much I emphasize to the cashier that I want a bread side, the wait person sometimes delivers chips. Even if the bread is delivered, the wait person never brings butter &/or a knife.
2) Yesterday the food preparation staff "forgot" my friend's order even though we ordered at the same time.
3) Today at 11 AM after the breakfast rush & before the lunch rush, crumbs the floor littered the floor.
4) While I was slowly pulling out a parking spot, a delivery car (a new service at this location ) turned into the aisle so fast that it nearly hit me. (No one should be going that fast in a parking lot even when hurrying to deliver an order.)
5) Coffee cups need to be checked for residue before they are used.
I love Panera's food but if there were any other location in Fargo, I would go there
potential food poisoning
I recently purchased takeout from the Panera Bread at 16th Street Mall. I noticed that both the Autumn Squash soup and the Pumpkin Cookie I bought tasted strange but I thought nothing of it. Unfortunately later that day I began experiencing severe digestive issues, which continued on for the next two days, dehabilitating me. I'm hoping I just got sick but it is very likely that I may have gotten food poisoning and would recommend testing the ingredients going into both the soup and the cookies. Thank you for your time.
unethical behavior
I'm always at this Panera and most of the employees are very nice but there's this one manager who is always rude. I just assumed she was having a bad day but her rudeness was always there. One day I was ordering my lunch and she forgot to give me my cup so I asked politely and she rudely said "Here" and slammed it down on the counter and walked away before I could thank her. There was another time when I was waiting for my food at the counter and I heard and saw her just start yelling at another manager and being so rude to her. She also has a tattoo on the back of her neck, not sure if there allowed there. Its sad to see she is rude to her other employees and plus customers.
napa almond chicken salad sandwich
on 10/23/2018, I'm currently 33 weeks pregnant and cannot consumed mercury fish. I ordered the Napa Almond Chicken Salad Sandwich from Panera. They gave me Tuna Salad Sandwich instead. I didn't noticed it until I ate most of it. I thought it was a new recipe until I noticed it was tuna instead of chicken. They are willing to exchange it for me but complained that I ate most of it before returning.
The last time I went there about 4 months ago and ordered the Chipotle Chicken Avocado Melt Sandwich. They served me with raw chicken. I was also pregnant at that time. They insisted their chicken wasn't raw but it's the color of their smoked chicken. I asked my coworkers and all of them said it's raw. I just feel that Panera is so irresponsible and keep pushing the blame on other people for their mistakes. Maybe you guys should check out their yelp review. I saw complaints on raw meats and molded avocado.
I want to shout out a job always well done by Mel in the Mashpee MA Panera. I go in early on week day mornings for coffee & sometimes a breakfast sandwich or bagel. This is not an easy time of day for anyone but she is always smiling, knows everything about all of the foods & beverages & makes each person feel they are the only one she waits on. Not sure how she has done this but very grateful! She is either running the entire front of the store by herself or cooking. Mel has been there for a few years & I hope Panera knows what an amazing employee they have in her. Thank you Mel for putting the “ good” in morning! Barbara Robbins
grilled cheese in pick 2
Store located at 116 N 6th St 63101
The four cheese grilled cheese:
#1 was not grilled.
#2 had very little cheese and barely melted
#3 supposed to have 4 cheesed but barely had any
#4 looks like a pre schooler made it.
I'm sure the store was busy, but slow done and do the job right!
This was an online rapid order which was ready when I got there.
salad
The last three times I've bought a greek salad at the Panera in Catonsville, Maryland, it's been loaded with "rusty" lettuce, and by the time I pick all of the bad lettuce out, I have half the salad! For a place like Panera, there should be NO bad lettuce. Also, there was very little Feta cheese in it as well.
Now I'm wondering if Panera even washes their lettuce. Ugh.
unethical behavior
Last night went to eat at Panera Bread in Salisbury NC. Asked if they had bread bowls (yes) and did they have broccoli cheese soup (again yes). Ordered two orders. Went back to pick up order - no bread bowls. Asked the people fulfilling orders if they had broccoli cheese soup (again the answer was yes). Went up front and said we'd take the soup in bowls, and please add baguettes (which we saw in the basket where the people fulfill order). Went back to get the soup, now there were no baguettes. I told them I could see one baguette, and to give that to my husband. I would take a croissant. Had to go back up front to get my croissant. Went back for the soup. They were now out of broccoli cheese soup. Mind you, we were the only people placing orders. We received no apologies, no compensation with a free dessert or anything. Very disappointed. Will not ever return to this Panera.
customer service and wrong orders all the time
My name is Ms. Diego and I live in Glendale, Queens right across the street from Panera Bread, Cafe 4403. The telephone number for that store is [protected]. Every time I go this particular Panera Bread I am always having issues with rude employees that work there or a really messed up order. On Friday, October 19, 2018, I went there to order a sandwich (turkey and Cheese) I told the employee no mayo (I'm allergic) and when I got home it was enough mayo to put on 4 sandwiches. Another occasion, 2 weeks prior, my order was incorrect once again. I spend over $100.00 on Panera Bread and I think that it's unfair that incompetent employees (Managers included) are not accommodating the customers. Very, very upset.
poor customer service
I went to Panera Bread in Augusta, Maine today (10/21/2018) and ordered a mac and cheese and a smoothie for lunch. I was waiting by the cafe for my smoothie to come out and after about 5 minutes my buzzer went off and I went to grab my food. There was NO ONE even near the smoothie station so I asked the staff member by where the food came out and they said that my smoothie will come out by the cash registers. I went and put my food at the table and waited for my friend to get her food so I didn't have to leave my food unattended. Once she came back she said she asked another woman, named Theresa according to her name tag, about my smoothie and she told her, "That's not my job." and walked out back into the kitchen. At that point, it had been 15 minutes and I was upset that I had to wait this long in general when there were no other customers ordering or in line. I again went up to the counter and asked a young gentleman named Alex about my smoothie. He apologized immediately and said that he had just punched in and he would make sure it was made ASAP. At this point, Theresa came back out and Alex gave her the spinach needed to make my smoothie. She placed it in the blender and turned it on. She then turned to another staff member and asked if he knew how to make a frozen mocha and that she would teach him. They both then began to make two other drinks while mine sat in the blender (while the blender was off) for 5 minutes. I was standing there the entire time waiting for them to simply put it in a cup. Theresa then asks, "Are you waiting for the green passion smoothie?" After saying yes she put it in a cup and on the counter for me without saying another word.
First off, I am angry that I had to wait TWENTY minutes for a smoothie. There were two other people behind me in line and both were served their food and one woman was even made a smoothie before mine came out. Secondly, Theresa was extremely rude and unfriendly to myself and my friend. Her behavior was completely uncalled for and just rude.
hair in salad
I ordered a You Pick Two sandwich and salad. The salad I ordered was missing the cucumbers and extra dressing that I ordered and as I took my first bite out of my salad I found hair! Two pieces! This would not have happened if Panera Bread complied with Section 14-1.72 of the New York State Sanitary Code - Employee consumption of food and use of tobacco, hair restraints, stating "All persons within a food service establishment who work in areas where food is prepared are to use hats, caps or hair nets as restraints which minimize hair contact with hands, food and food-contact surfaces."
extra bread charge
In largo, FL tonight I was charged .75 for an extra baguette. With the continally raised prices, I'm not sure why you're charging for an extra piece of your least expensive item to make. I worked for this company for years as a teenager/young adult. Both the given and extra piece of bread were stale and neither were hot. How do you explain this? I've seen an increase in pricing, and a decrease in quality in both services/food. This is ridiculous. I understand limiting the amount of extra bread being given, but .75 cents is steep considering a baguette used to be about 2$ and is now above 3$.
sandwich
I ordered through Rapid Pick-Up at a location minutes from house and got the most disgusting sandwich I have ever had. I took one bite and immediately threw it out. It was put together so poorly and sloppy that the bread was so soggy and ripping apart. When I picked it up it completely fell apart that it was inedible. I would like a full refund since I threw it out and didn't even eat it.
discrimination
First Starbucks now Panera Bread? I am a frequent customer at the Pelham Manor location, I am there maybe 3 to 4 days a week. I routinely come in, grab a table and open up my laptop and order my 1st meal directly to my table, most times I would choose the "You pick 2" option, because I know I would be spending multiple hours there. The floor staff knows me, and joke with me, they even know my name. Anyway today 10/19/18, management decides to walk up to me and basically say that I just came in from the street to sit in there and take up space. However, (no I didn't go black girl crazy) I politely explained to her that I did order food, actually 3 items, a sandwich, soup and a pastry. After she went to verify she then came back and said that the time I purchased it was 11:22am which arrived to my table around 11:35, and I was approached at around 1:50pm. However I explained to her that there are many people that I can point to, that have been here before I was, and only spent $2.39 on one drink. So now I need to see what the policy is in regards to how long you can sit in the dining area from time of purchase. Because this is DISCRIMINATION!
pitiful sandwich
On Oct 17, 2018, I ordered a 1/2 pulled chicken sandwich through "Rapid Order" on Panera's website, which I do quite frequently. I had a coupon for "You Pick 2". The picture shows exactly what I got. I requested No BBQ sauce, which is fine. but the remainder of this "sandwich" is really pitiful. I will think twice before going to Panera again, and I WAS a loyal customer.
cream cheese
Dear Panera, I am currently a pregnant woman who was craving one of your plain crispy toasted bagels with plain cream cheese. One morning I woke up extra early to get to the Panera located near my job so I can get my plain bagel with plain cream cheese and get to work on time, when I reached the counter to place my order I was told that there was only walnut honey available I persisted to ask for chives because I was unable to grasp the fact that there was only walnut honey cream cheese available and nothing else but yet the racks were stacked with all kinds of bagels and was told it was an order mishap.
wrong meal order
This is the third time my order has been wrong for pickup at panera. I was looking forward to having my favorite sandwich, when I received it there was no avocado, it was on the wrong bread, there was barely anything in the sandwich and my baguette was as hard as a rock. I had gotten it to go so I could not return to complain in person. I'm just frustrated because I enjoy Panera and choose to eat there and pay a bit extra for their fresher options. I know it was most likely a rushed dinner hour but I handpicked each item of my order using the self service screen. I'm just frustrated because this isn't the first time my to go order has been wrong. Panera is one of my favorite places to eat and these experiences have been disheartening and disappointing.
service
I purchase coffee every morning from this location. This Panera is beside our medical center (The Ohio State University). Routinely, there is one person working the front counter and the line is backed up. The manager is around bringing out online orders or refilling the coffee. It appears that they cannot hire enough people to work the shift (pay more to get people). It is ridiculous that a location cannot have more than one person working the front counter. I understand there are times that only one counter person is needed. A manager should be monitoring the front situation and if it is busy, then put another person on the front counter. I have completed surveys about this location and this is not the first time I have made this complaint.
fuji apple salad with no fuji apples
I am nearly always pleased with the service and quality of food at Panera Bread but would like to see the organization institute a system for informing customers when they can't fill an order because they lack some of the ingredients. For example, on 10/13/18 at one of the stores in Myrtle Beach when my husband and I ordered a Fuji Apple salad with chicken, we were not informed that they were out of the Fuji apples that are a main ingredient of the salad. Had we been informed we would have ordered something else. When I brought it to the manager's attention, she just explained that they didn't have anymore apples and offered no substitution. Again, I have no complaints about the quality of the food but was disappointed that the item still appeared on the menu and was not informed that I would not be receiving the salad that I ordered. I hope the organization can develop a system for informing customers when they are not able to provide the menu items they order.
