inadequate bagels at 11:00 on sunday morning,
Incident at:
899 Atlantic Blvd
Date: 03/11/2018 Atlantic Beach, FL 32233
[protected]
Placed online order #[protected] for 3 plain bagels and 3 everything bagels. Arrived at 12:00 as scheduled and was told they ran out of these bagels. Asked Paulo to call the Jax Beach store to see if bagels were available and he said
"they won't answer the phone". This is not the 1st or 2nd time I experienced this issue. Question: How do you run out of Plain and Everything Bagels on a Sunday at 11:00. Would of been nice to get a phone call so not to waste my driving time. Seem you have an internal problem with inventory.
entire order
I stopped in a store in Ballwin, MO with my sister and mom and we ordered $47 worth of food to-go. Not only did it take 20 minutes to get our food but not everything in our order was correct once we had left.
I had a full medetteranian veggie sandwich (with no tomatoes) that only had the ingredients on half the sandwich and was missing onion. The lettuce was also limp and discolored so I had to remove it.
I had a half Greek salad (with no tomatoes) and I was given a salad with tomatoes and no dressing. I was not able to turn around since we had somewhere to be.
Before we left we checked the bag to see if everything was in there and they forgot to add our pastries so we had to wait in line again to get our pastries.
Luckily my sister's grilled cheese and soup was correct and my mom's steak sandwich was correct too.
The flow of the registers was chaotic and people were being taking care of in the wrong order instead of whoever was next in line. The drink/napkin station was missing lids and dirty.
I love Panera since I am from St. Louis but now that I live out of town and don't have one where I live, I eat there often when I am in town. When I spend $45 on 3 meals, i would expect it to be clean and made correctly.
I was very hungry and barely got half a meal, very disappointed.
salads & portions - "mini-ization"
It's March 10th, noon.
I'll say that they are consistent! Every time I buy a salad, it's always like a half salad. Today, the full salad looked like a half salad.
Honestly, I want them to make a profit to operate - but where it the wisdom of the management team in balancing 'fair portions' with prices? Sometimes the salad bowl is full, other times, like today, it's only halfway up the bowl.
This franchise is bottom-line oriented, not focused on customer perceptions. They must assume we are all mindless [censor] - just wait until the new restaurants open this summer!
So, they are moving with the industry trend of 'mini-ization' - rather than give good portions and charge more, they are given less and charging more.
All the computers and financial statements might just cover a chronic and developing problem with consumer attitudes.
Customers complain, all the time, about the shrinking size of toast, sandwiches, salads - it's becoming a joke.
Wake up! Arrogance is the beginning of decline.
rapid pickup
Let me start by saying this isn't the first time I've had issues with this location. This morning I ordered Rapid Pickup. When I went to pick it up, my order was not there. They deduced that someone else must have taken my order. I don't blame them for that. When my order was to be re-made, the manager asked if i wanted my bagels toasted. I said no, but I'd like them sliced. They were not sliced when I got them home. Second, I ordered avocado to be added to my breakfast, and it was not added. I paid extra for that. When I called to speak to the manager, the phone rang through when I chose that option, then it was clear someone picked up, then hung up the phone.
wrong order, overcharged
I went thru the drive thru on February 19th and did an order...when I got home I noticed that the salad I ordered was a small side salad... My grandkids love paneras and I was busy giving them their lunch... That night I was looking at my receipt and noticed I was charged for a full salad. I called the next day to complain and was told they would send me a voucher for a salad. That was February 20th and I haven't received a thing. What kind of customer service is there at the Whitehall PA store... I am so disappointed in their service...
incorrect delivery items
I ordered and paid for the lentil quinoa chicken bowl on 3/8/2018 in Valparaiso Indiana order #921213 and received the vegetarian bowl without chicken. Unfortunately the flavors of the bowl weren't very good which made not having the chicken even worse.
I've always enjoyed Panera's salads, but this bowl was a total flop (the chips were good). I will go back to the salad menu, but would request a store credit for this disappointment.
unprofessional and unethical employees
My wife had pins removed from her feet on March 7, 2018. Because she was told to eat soup, I had her to call Perimeter Place Panera Bread at 4531 Olde Perimeter Way, Dunwoody GA to get the Department Health food score. Nichole answered the phone, my wife asked her their food score, Nichole asked who was asking, my wife responded that her name should not be a factor in getting the food score. Nichole responded saying that they are not allowed to give that information over the phone. My wife stated that she had never heard anyone say that never. Nichole told my wife to hold on and when she came back to the phone, Nichole told my wife if she comes in; she would be glad to discuss the score with her the score and Nichole hung up on my wife.
I pulled over an and called back. Nichole answered the phone. I explained that my wife had just had a medical procedure and want to get some soup but wanted to know the food score and you hung up on her. I asked to speak to the manager. The manager Shameka came to the phone, I explained to her why we called, and she as well stated that they are not to give the food score over the phone and the score is a matter of public record. I told her that I understand that, but I was driving and wanted to know the score prior to coming there. After I asked for the Corporate's phone number she have me the score (91). And she gave me a bogus phone number. 1800.501.5566 for the Corporate Office.in addition, when we got to the restaurant it was closed due to a water break. Very unprofessional to tell someone to come in for a discussion knowing that they were closed. Also, I called the Dekalb Health Department regarding Nicole and Shameka's claim that the Department of Health told them they are not allowed to give food scores out over the phone. This Health Department stated that they would never tell anyone to say such a thing.
food/service
First time eating at Panera Bread and it was awful. The manager was playing with what we assumed to be his grandson instead of taking our order. We explained it was our first time eating at Panera Bread and we asked him if he had any suggestions. He comes out from behind the register, walks over by the entrance/exit doors and grabs a paper menu and hands it to us. We definitely felt like we were hindering him from being able to visit with what we assumed to be his daughter and grandson. After we ordered he went back and sat down to finish eating with them. Me and my husband both got potato soup in the bread bowls and something tasted like it was old. We ate only a few bites and put the rest in to-go containers to feed our dog when we got home. Thats how awful it tasted. The man that took our order I assume is the manager. He looked over at us and saw that we had an issue with our food, but he just kept on visiting and eating with his family. We purchased a pecan cinnamon roll that was very dry and hard. We also purchased another cinnamon roll type dessert that was actually soft and fresh and had a good taste to it. Our over all experience was horrible and plan to never go back. I have co-workers that ask me about Panera Bread and i tell them about our experience. I also have other co-workers that told me they had a bad experience at Panera Bread too. So I'm letting you know Panera Bread is getting a bad reputation in my town. Thanks for your time. Have a great day!
Oh for hell's sake, if you're not adult enough to be able to decide for yourself what to eat from looking at a menu, I'm not sure what the manager can even do for you. And your food tasted horrible, so you gave it to your dog? You are horrible, horrible, people.
He would have gotten cussed the [censor] out. Then I would have taken his name down and called corporate on his [censor].
mediterranean egg white sandwich
I order this breakfast sandwich all the time. I have never received it like this. I really like Panera. Now I have to check my food before I leave. Disappointed because Panera is not around the corner for me. This is not the quality service that I usually receive from Panera. If they did not have the ingredients, they should've said something. All I have is egg whites, cheese, and spinach. Where are the other ingredients which made me love this sandwich!?! I really hope this doesn't happen again. Fyi, it taste horrible on wheat bread.
customer service
My children ordered a large amount of food for delivery today at the Highland Park store in st Paul mn 55116. when the order arrived, it was missing a large mac And cheese. my daughter (14) called and politely explained to Brie, the manager, that it was missing. she argued with them and told them it was not. my daughter, again, explained that it wasn't there. Brie, told her very rude and condescending that she was lying and if she wanted another one delivered that she wound have to pay for it. being the nieve child that she is, she paid again. Annie was totally belittled by your manager. That is completely unacceptable. Highland Park is a very tight knit community and word of mouth is how business work or don't work. I sincerely hope that you take this seriously. Brie had no customer service skills and is so incredibly rude. I've been in this business for 25 years. unreal.
thank you
Siobhan
order filled incorrectly
We are new to Panera, but I was so excited about the Brioche egg sandwich on the breakfast menu. Having a little surgery today, my husband ordered an Brioche egg sandwich to go ( a little treat for me). He is adamant that he stipulated a brioche roll. Imagine my disappointment when I got home, opened my breakfast box to find an egg sandwich on some kind of limp brown bread. Not what I wanted! The who thing was icky. Lesson learned, don't go through the drive thru, don't order food to go, open all containers and inspect content. First order from Panera was a big miss. And it's really tough to get feedback to you folks.
My receipt no. is [protected]-24
First order at Panera filled incorrectly. This is an inauspicious beginning. I have been so excited about your advertising for the brioche egg sandwich on the breakfast menu. I was having a little surgery today, so my husband got me a brioche egg sandwich for a little treat. When we got home and opened the box, ick, no brioche roll instead a soggy, limp brown bread of some sort. Very unappetizing. In fact, I gave it to the dogs - they'll eat anything. But still, a big disappointment. Lesson learned, inspect every order before leaving the store ( my husband ordered in the store) and in the drive thru lane.
Also, it's way to difficult to register a complaint with you folks. Clicking on Customer Care got me nowhere. Not a stellar business practice
health issues
I come to this panera a lot in gellert, but this time it was not a good experience. One of there workers sounds sick and looks sick and yet she is still working around food? Instead of getting my tomato soup I just left. I didn't wanna get sick and I wouldn't be surprise if the other customers gets sick. Maybe the managers are not train well and maybe don't care for people's healthy at all.
cancelled order#[protected]
On February 15, 2018 I placed an online order#[protected] for rapid pickup after work. Went to your Panera location on Erie Boulevard, Dewitt, NY and picked up my to go order and went home. When I got home, my son started eating his salad and found a bug in it. He immediately felt ill and threw everything out. I had not started eating my meal yet but also threw mine out. I called the Dewitt location and was put on hold for 15 minutes so I hung up and called again and asked to speak with a manager. The person on the phone said she was a manager and apologized and said she would cancel my order and I would be reimbursed within 3 days...well today is 3/3/18 and I still HAVE NOT been reimbursed for
my order totaling $26.96. I cannot tell you how frustrating this is. So, not
only have I not been reimbursed for my order that we had to throw out, but the manager did not ever consider earning our trust back and offer a gift card or anything for that matter to ease our mind. I am VERY disappointed with this event and expect my refund ASAP. If you need any further information, please contact me.
manners
I visited my used to be favorite spot to get a yummy sandwich and soulful soup until one worker gave me attitude, and dirty looks. Not to mention she slammed my food onto the counter when it was finished being made, making the spoon and apple fall off the plate because it was such an aggressive slam. I'm not positive what her name was but it started with an S
shift supervisor ken morris @ chelmsford ma drum hill panera bread
Shift Supervisor, Ken Morris at the Chelmsford, MA / Drum Hill Panera Bread location is the rudest and most unprofessional individual one can encounter. I went to buy a coffee, stood at the register for about 10 minutes, with absolutely nobody in line just me. There was a female chatting and flirting with the cook in the back who saw me waiting there and completely ignored me, and with an attitude yelled: "we are closing shortly, after rolling her eyes"; I mentioned, "I am just getting a coffee to go".
Shift Supervisor, Ken Morris clearly saw me waiting for a long period of time ignoring as he was joking around with coworkers and wondering around the store; when I asked if I can finally order my coffee to go, after unnecessarily waiting for so long, the unpleasant and arrogant shift manager gave me the nastiest attitude; acting as a "though guy", as if he was going to fist fight me, mind you I'm a female; that even demanded yelling at me in front of other customers that, "if I didn't like his attitude, to get the hell out of HIS store". I felt threatened as a customer by what is *supposed* to be a *professional*, I thought this "though guy" was going to drag me out of the store!. What kind of supervisor says and act like that with a customer!
Be careful as a customer going to this store. You may get threatened and jumped by "tough guy" Mr. Nasty Attitude Morris, especially if you are a female.
poor customer service
I ordered the bagel bundle as I always do for a local Dr office. I am informed that their cream cheese is in backorder. The ialternative they offer me is ridiculous...pay $1.30 for a tiny Philadelphia cream cheese per bagel...$16.90 for just the cream cheese. I suggest honoring the the bagel bundle price and including cream cheese. I am a loyal customer and shop there often. The manager not interested in hearing what I say and continues to wait in other customers. This rude and disrespectful behavior is the last thing you need. I left and went to a grocery store where I could buy it for $1. What a ripoff.
I posted a comment earlier about an order that was filled incorrectly. Now, however, after reading others' posts, I think you can ignore my post (as that seems to be the default response anyway). The comments posted by other customers sicken me, and I think there is very little likelihood we will ever order from or eat at Panera again. Wow, how do you folks stay in business? And do you ever post follow-up to customer complaints, detailing what actions you take in response to customer issues? If these issues go uncorrected, you won't need a long term operating strategy, because you won't be in business long term. Really, what other customers and employees have experienced is illegal and immoral.
napa almond chicken salad sandwich
I ordered in Napa Almond chicken salad sandwich on white bread with no tomato through the drive-through at Panera bread. When I got home and opened up my sandwich there was hardly any of the chicken salad inside of it. I took a picture of it. It was maybe a table spoon of the chicken salad. The free pickle was more filling. I definitely overspent on this sandwich. Very disappointing ! I recently moved to Oklahoma from Kansas and the Panera In Kansas had much better made sandwiches.
arrogant drive-thru worker
Hello, I cannot find where to place a report for Panera Bread. Yesterday, Thursday, March 1st I had went through Panera Bread's drive-thru and ordered a bowl of soup and mac and cheese for my three year old daughter. She gave me a harsh tone of attitude, "Is that ALL?" She asked. I guess I wasn't spending enough money, or ordered off of their "proper" menu. I drove around and she glared at me, her face CAKED with makeup, and I feared the food would contain particles of it. She disrespectfully shoved my card into my hand, and almost THREW the food into my car. "Get out." She said, her face and expression crusty. I asked for utensils but she already left the window. I mean McDonald's is better than this. It doesn't matter. If I want cold soup I'll eat at Panera Bread again. I recommend Olive Garden over Panera Bread. Also, Gallatin TN is FAMOUS for rude, and arrogant people. DON'T MOVE TO TN.
the product cost and size
I ordered a Cinnamon Pecan twist that was not as big as my hand and thinner than a slice of Pizza with one pecan for $2.89 not to mention we have a 10% sales tax here in Washington, DC. The Panera Bread is located on the Campus of the George Washington University where our students go have their meals. If they are shortening the portions and raising cost the Parent will continue to have to upload cash onto the meal cards due to this behavior. I am a Staff member and I work very hard for my money to be robbed without a gun and with a smile. Get it together Panera before you have me and the students protesting for you to go away!
A displeased patron and member but not for long!
service wait time in store - hunt valley, md
Upon ordering a simple Outmeal and coffee, I waited 16 minutes to receive the oatmeal. It was apparent that there was only one poor guy (who was hustling as fast as he could) that was making the in-store orders, with 7 - 8 people waiting in front of me along the counter. The other 2 or 3 workers must have been filling on-line of phone orders, or starting to fill the catering request. Obviously very understaffed, and I noticed the manager just walking bye several times without helping to lessen the queue of the in-store orders.
I suggest an electronic, dynamic 'estimated wait time' sign be installed near the cash registers in all stores, as it is completely unfair to deal with this crapshoot every time not knowing how late to work I will end up being each time I go.
