Have you stop making diet Pepsi in the 24 oz bottles? Why would you do such a thing. Diet Pepsi is all I drink, besides water and tea, and I spend ALOT of money for this drink because I love it. But I do not like drinks in a can and I don't like the smaller bottles. The 24 oz bottles is perfect size to take to work and last all day, easy to handle, not like 1.5 liter or the 2 liter. If you have quit making the 24 oz, please reconsider the terrible mistake you are making. Profits could drop.
Thanks,
Ann C. Nowland

I have always been a loyal Pepsi customer. But, to stop selling the 24 oz bottles of Pepsi Max or Diet Pepsi is going to cost you money and loyal customers. It's a complete rip off to sell 6-packs of 16.9 oz bottles for the same price you were selling 24 oz bottles. Plus, it makes no sense to do away with flagship Pepsi products but still offer Mt. Dew in 24 oz bottles. That defies logic! And if for no other reason, 24 oz bottles fit nicely in your car's cup holder. The 16.9 oz bottles do not. If Pepsi does not come back to there sense very soon, I'll be forced to only drink MIO,

Pepsi, you are making a HUGE mistake by ceasing production of the 24 oz. bottles of Diet Pepsi! I understand that the soft drink industry has been hit really hard and profits are at an all time low. I would think that you would NOT withdraw such a poplular product from the market. After all, if we can no longer get our 24 oz. bottles, then we might as well go back to Coke products

Things like this have been going on for years. I first noticed it with a type of bathing soap I use. Companies have been downsizing their products and charging the same price to keep from having to increase their prices for the same product so they claim. I have been drinking Mountain Dew sense 1985 when I went to Yuma Arizona and could not find Mello Yellow. I drink at least one 24 oz. Dew and carry an extra 20 oz. every day to work. Yes I know I also drink 2 glasses of tea, 2 glasses of milk and a 24 oz. Dew bottle of water from the previous day through out the day. I have tried carrying 3, 20 oz bottles and have found that Pepsi has achieved the desired affect. I am spending more money and drinking all three at work and sometime drink another when I get home. Hate I can't find them in Richmond VA. anymore.

We are all idiots, don't you know? Reducing the size of other products isn't as noticeable as it is with all the bottled drink products. They are charging the same price for the 16.9 fl oz but we weren't supposed to notice this. We were told that they (Pepsi) was losing money making the 24 fl oz ... something about people taking the plastic containers they're shipped in and is why they made the switch. Really? So raise the price (as they have every year anyway) instead of discontinuing the product. I emailed Pepsi and I was told that they are NOT nationally discontinuing the 24 oz however, your local bottling company/distributors might stop producing them. I'm in VA. I wouldn't have been so upset about the switch IF they would have reduced the price! Ok.. yes I would have... the 24 oz size was perfect! All of the other companies have changed to the smaller size. Being the idiot that we are, I would think that Pepsi would KEEP the 24oz. More people would switch from the other brands to Pepsi just for the size. DUH

I'm not buying the 16oz bottles EVER. If the idea is to force us to purchase smaller bottles for basically the same price, it's not going to happen in my house. I will buy the 20oz competitors brands, if I have to.

Everywhere that I shop is no longer selling the 24 ounce bottles. They are being replaced with 16.9 ounce bottles but the price is the same or in some instances higher. I'm sick of products downsizing their products but not adjusting the price. We buy a lot of Pepsi products but are considering not purchasing unless either price adjustment occurs or they bring back the 24 ounce bottles!

HAH! It is true. It's your local distributing company who has made the switch. I live in Norfolk VA and went to Leesburg VA (3 1/2 hours away) to check out a venue for my son's wedding and they (Food Lion) had the 24 oz Pepsi products there @3 for $11.00 ! It's not worth driving that distance just for the 24 oz but you better believe whenever my son or daughter in law to be goes there, they will bring me back massive amounts of the 24 oz. I purchased 31 of the 24 oz 6 packs while we were there! I was told that NY still carries them too.

I HATE these new 16 oz bottles. Not only are they too small and fall out of the cup holder because they are too tall but I find there is a lot more plastic going in the trash .The new bottles use the same amount of plastic and energy to produce but we have to pay more to get rid of the waste. HEAR US Pepsi; get rid of these bottles! BAD move GO Back to 24.

I use to be Coke only but about 12/15 years ago switched to Pepsi just because of the 24 oz bottle. In my region Coke never had that. So it was a no brainer. Now? Back to Coke. Why? Why not. If Pepsi is going to stop giving us that awesome choice then I see no reason to reward them.

I have been buying 24 oz. bottles for years, i live on the tn va border in bristol. Now all the stores tell me pepsi has just stopped making them.I would like them to reconsider that decision. I on any given week purchased 15 to twenty six packs .If they don, t bring back the 24 oz.i too will switch to something else..This was a poor decision on pepsico's sales managers. My thirty to forty dollars a week will go to someone else if this is not brought back

I live in Winchester, VA and am in Leesburg, VA quit often. In last 3 weeks, 24 oz bottles have disappeared. I hate the 16 oz bottles, too small and way too much recycling. Seriously thinking of switching to Coca-Cola. Hate paying the same price for less product. I guess they don't think we read the price per quantity posted in the grocery store. What a boner move

Miss Nancy,

I believe you have missed the entire purpose of this conversation: the need to know what is the status of Pepsi Max in 24 oz. bottles. I do not believe it is NECESSARY to point out someone's spelling error. Your need to correct a post on something so trivial in comparison to the purpose here is simply appalling. Stick to the matter at hand or don't post.

What is Pepsi doing? My wife drinks nothing but Diet Pepsi in the 24oz bottles! She probably drinks at least a 6 pack a day! She doesn't like the smaller bottles! She said they don't last long enough. Pepsi is doing a bad thing by just stopping the 24oz bottles and not warning the customers! I think they should take a poll and see what the customers prefer!

I live in louisville, Ky. I also hate the 16 oz. Bottles and refuse to buy them. I found some 24 oz. Bottles at big lots and bought up almost every 6 pack they had. I kept about 10 of the empy bottles and bow I will boy 2 liters that are on sale and I wash out the empty 24 oz. Bottles and refill them from the 2 liter. This is what it has come to. I know of no one that likes the 16.9 oz. Bottles! What ever happened to customer satisfaction? I can't switch to Coke because I hate the taste of Coke, besides they did the same thing. We all know why this happened, make a smaller bottle and charge the same price. Did you ever stop to think that people would have accepted the higher price to just keep the 24 oz. Bottles? If this is some social engineering from Liberals that we have had to put up with, I would think the last landslide elections would let you know what people think of those policies. PLEASE GIVE US BACK THE 24 oz. BOTTLES !

I totally agree - 24 oz. bottles are great. I can't stand the cans and re-filling the 24 ounce bottles from a 2 liter bottle seems to leave the product "flat". Maybe it's time for Coke to run a "Pepsi Challenge" campaign. Based upon these posts it seems that a whole lot of previously loyal Pepsi fan’s allegiance may be up for grabs. I know that I have been sampling other products. (Coke Zero isn’t bad – IMHO). I wonder if PepsiCo follows posts like these?

I just went to the Giant Eagle grocery store here in Brunswick, Ohio. My husband and I get the 24 ounce bottles of Pepsi, in the 6 packs. They are currently 4 for $11.00 with your Giant Eagle Card. The shelves are now stocked with the 6 packs of 19.8 ounce bottles, and they are charging 2 for $7.00. There is NO WAY I'm going to pay $3.00 more for 100.8 ounces less. If the 24 ounce bottles are being discontinued, we should have been told. I will be changing my drink choices if they are discontinued, unless they bring the prices down. It's utterly ridiculous the mark up on the pop industry, and to gouge us now, when gas prices are down, makes NO sense!

My only difference from the comments here is that not only is the 24 oz not available any more, but they are not even selling the hand holdable bottles (10, 16, or any size) at all in my local stores. As with everyone here, the 24 oz bottles lasted, fit my hand and my car cupholder just fine, and I am shocked that they are not available. If the price had increased I would have (probably) sucked it up, but for now they have driven me to Coke Zero. I figure I'll eventually get used to it.

I ran into the Pepsi guy at the store today and he said that a few products, including my beloved Diet Mt. Dew, will not longer be available in the 6 pack of 24 oz. bottles. His next comment was "and I do not know why, it is a good seller." I suspect that retailers are somewhat involved in this, they do not want to stock 12 oz cans, smaller bottles and 2 liters of all the Pepsi varieties, so Pepsi made some cuts to its line up. I was a huge Diet Mt. Dew consumer, but will not buy cans or two liters, or whatever is sold individually in the convenience store. Bye Bye Pepsi!
