Sunny cabs perth airport duty of care.
The taxi driver TAXI 5254 when I have entered the taxi has declined my address (Aloft) hotel because it was too close and he refused to take me this is a re occurring issue with these taxis and if you can't get the first taxis the rest will also decline this is unexceptable does perth airport not have a duty of care to provide safe transport?
I was then late to my destination i had to find other means of transport and unable to order dinner as it was too late. this is a safety issue what if a young person gets refused by these taxis and cannot call an uber or get any other means of transport? Why has nothing been done about this why is there no signage letting the taxi drivers know they cannot do this? I have informed department of transport and will be lodging a formal complaint with Sunny Cabs and Perth airport until something is done for the safety of people.
Kind regards
Liam Marshall
Claimed loss: $60 the money is not the issue this is a safety issue.
Desired outcome: For the perth airport taxi service to be managed so that no distance to short or too long is not refused and if so these taxis should not be aloud to park at the perth airport this is a safety issue.

International immigration clearance at terminal 4
I would like to file a report regarding my bad experience at Terminal 4 International Immigration Clearance on 25/11/23, at 11.20am. There were two Indian officers, one female and one male who were literally showing really very bad attitude to us during our clearance at the counter. The incident happened when we didn’t realise the two bottles of honey we...

You have enabled the ridiculous situation at the terminal where disabled are unable to transfer to a vehicle in Acrod because wheelchairs are not permitted. This is completely unacceptable in this day and age, particularly at an International Hub airport. It might be a very good idea to send one of your representatives to Adelaide to see how it's done in the real world. Wake up !
Desired outcome: Action. We need to use this Airport again unfortunately.

Security
They confiscated my alcohol (decorative bottles from Amalfi) a 600gm sealed Jar of pistachio cream and 2x sealed jars of cherry jam that you can only get from a village outside of Rome. I had them in my carry on because I didn’t want them to break. At Rome airport I had asked if it was ok to store in my carry on and they said yes providing I’m not changing...
Read full review of Perth AirportSupplied sushi at various stores
When I arrived at Perth airport before my flight home which was about 3-4 hrs wait I brought 2 packets of sushi valued just over $13 each as I was starving and I don’t eat most meats etc so there wasn’t alot to choose from. Anyway it was so dry I couldn’t even eat the rice part and just picked out the middle section . I was pretty disappointed which how much it cost and the fact that it very clearly wasn’t fresh and was the same sushi supplied at both cafes so it’s most definitely not made on site and could be a real potential for food poisoning.
Taxi rank
We landed in Perth yesterday, after dark. With a lot of luggage and our young daughter.
We went to the taxi rank and found a car large enough. We got in and gave the driver our destination.
He then refused to take us and tried to kick us out of the car because the trip "was too local".
It was scary, we are from the UK and have no idea of the area, it was dark and I had no idea what the driver might do.
He charged us $50 for a less than 5km trip. It was that or be stranded with our child.
He also drove dangerously.
Once we arrived I was dealing with my daughter and he drove off so fast that I was unable to get his details or licence plate.
It was an extremely upsetting welcome to Perth.
It should be illegal for taxi's to behave in such a way and threaten families in a vulnerable situation.
You should be able to trust an airport taxi's!
Desired outcome: For family's not to be ripped off or put in such a scary position.
Arrival / custom
I must express my utmost dissatisfaction with the deplorable and dictatorial customs practices at Perth International Airport. These self-proclaimed kings of the land believe they possess the power to arbitrarily scrutinize and quarantine anything that doesn't align with their limited comprehension (or their microscopic intellect, if you will).
Apparently, their checklist of hazardous materials is the holy grail of knowledge, completely disregarding the fact that weary passengers who have endured grueling 15 to 20-hour journeys don't deserve such treatment. Oh, but let's not forget about their particular fondness for targeting non-English speaking elderly individuals who struggle to communicate. They must be their prime prey during these stubborn customs checks.
Just recently, my poor parents had the pleasure of experiencing Perth International's finest hour. Their entire luggage underwent an hour-long inspection, resulting in a staggering two-hour delay for their exit. Can you believe it? The cause of this entire fiasco was a minuscule soap dispenser (yes, empty) that offended the delicate sensibilities of the customs agents. Apparently, the harmless tube responsible for bringing the soap up was considered hazardous. Bravo! I salute their ability to detect peril in a Chinese-made plastic soap dispenser. It's truly remarkable how they prevent the imminent threat of an explosion caused by a tube that dispenses soap. Not to mention, once again, it was empty.
I find myself utterly astonished and at a loss for words when faced with the extraordinary intelligence of Perth Airport customs. They possess an unparalleled talent for discovering hazards in absolutely everything, or so it seems. It's high time Western Australia initiates an investigation into such incidents. It's truly disheartening and exasperating to realize that these customs officials lack any form of supervision. I can't help but feel as though I'm living in a nondemocratic regime.
Desired outcome: NEED A CHANGE replace those idiots
Departure screening on Tuesday 25th April at approximately 3pm
I was travelling with my husband, and two friends. We proceeded to the screening area where there was no que, and no other people around. Very abrupt and curt behaviour by all. Details can be provided. The lady in a very abrupt voice and pointing her finger to indicate to put your bags in there. I proceeded to go through the screening arch and again abruptly told - take your jacket off, of which I did. There was some alert so I was taken aside and swopped, and repeatedly swopped another twice. This resulted in a perfume reading. The gentleman asked me - how my day was going? I replied, 'Fine until now - as everyone around me is abrupt and rude". He responded - Yeah - it has been a long day. I then waited for my bags, and my jacket was sitting behind the screen out of my reach, I indicated to someone if I could have it. The male staff member pushed it to me without making any eye contact.
This was an awful customer experience
Desired outcome: I would like an apology - which is easy. Staff TrainingRefund mean? This behaviour has affected me, in after seeing a friend dealing with Cancer, and I am on my way home :(
Ground staff on the 7/2/23 checked in my hand luggage without my consent
On the 07/02/2023 myself, my elder daughter and younger daughter were boarding the flight SQ224 at approximately 06:20 am. My younger daughter had my hand luggage with her however she was called in different row after myself. My younger daughter explained to the ground staff female worker that the third hand luggage was mine ( it was also within the 7kg limit). I had already started to board onto the plane. However the ground staff female on right side forward facing counter advised it had to be checked in. Then she checked in my HAND luggage without my consent or notification to myself. A simple call to the plan for me to come collect it myself or allowing my daughter to contact me to come collect my bag would have resolved the matter easily.
We filed a formal complaint with Singapore airlines and their airport whom agreed that any bag to be checked in should be consented by the owner and any valuable or important medical items taken out.
Never has this happened to us in the past and very unjustly to act without any communication or consent . The hand luggage also has no lock and it was also checked in under my daughter’s name. The lady is liable for any damages this may incur and is unfit to baba ground staff.
Customer service for wheel chair elderly
I, as son in law, tried to ask a Perth airport staff member - seemly from Singapore Airlines - where my mother should be as she is in a wheel chair and is elderly. The staff member tried simple to literally just walk past me and ing or me. She pretended not to hear me and as I walked beside her her she propped and looked at me and then held her watch up so as to intimate I was taking up her time. She continued to try to walk away as I endeavor to ask where my mother in law should be as she is in a wheel chair and was to be in a place that we did not know and was not signed. You upset me as you treated us a worthless - thanks so terribly disappointed in being treated so poorly.
Desired outcome: Staff with some emotional intelligence
Perth airport check in around 10pm is way too slow.
I am currently (19/1/2023) check in at the Perth international airport with Malindo flight OD156 to Kuala Lumpur. I have been standing in the same line for an hour. There are people lining up as far as the front entrance of the airport and there are only 2 open counters. At some point, there was only one open counter and it took around 20-30 minutes to check in 1-2 people. This is way too slow to check customers and not enough open counter. The flight is currently delay 20minutes. It was supposedly to be departing at 1.20am but now is showing 1.40am and the line is still at the entrance. The time I am making the complaint is 11.34pm.
Desired outcome: Open more counters and train the check in staffs to be more efficient. Not to take about 20minutes to check in passenger. Prior to Covid, it has never been this bad and this is beyond ridiculous.
Security
There is a Indian bloke using the bomb detected in Perth airport at 10pm on the 28th December disrespectful little tiny man obviously had small man’s complex as born Australian I don’t appreciate the amount of disrespect this little midget gave me if he’s still working he when I return I know Perth airport dosnt care about the people they ment to be servicing
Desired outcome: Fire terminate his employment
The whole airport
Once checked in and cleared customs, I was faced with 2 places to eat, my children only had 1 option the food and service was very bad. Chicken was like rubber, other people had their food served cold! Pizza over cooked and cold! Drink choices were limited and gin and tonic was premixed! Not what I would expect from an international airport! Perth needs to change it is very very bad and would not recommend to any one. We should have stayed and had hungry jacks as this would have been a 5 star meal compared to what we were served!
Sort it out!
Desired outcome: Change the facilities and upgrade the standard of food and drinks.
customs and biosecurity staff
On 13 dec 2022 at approx 2100hrs while passing through security to board an international flight, my adult daughter had 3 miniature bottles of whiskey taken from her. the officer stated that it added up to more than 100ml as each bottle was 50ml. and the liquid allowance was 100ml. These small bottles were packed in a gift box and were obviously a gift. she had to ask for the box to remain in her possession as the officer was initially going to take the entire gift.
CASA rules clearly state that the liquid limit for hand luggage is 5 litres. no more than 100ml per item. alcohol must be no more than 70% proof. All of these rules were followed, and she was not in breach of anything, yet an over zealous, possibly improperly educated person took it upon themselves to remove these 3 bottles while leaving her with several other bottles of liquids , each over 50ml but no more than 100ml. thus making limit the claim void.
Desired outcome: reimbursement for the cost of replacing the incorrectly removed items $32.99 and proper education for the people staffing the stations
Baggage check
yesterday (7/12/2022 at 12:30pm QUANTAS Departure T4) I had just put my luggage on the conveyor for scanning then waited in line to be scanned. When it was my turn, I was stopped and had to wait for 6 men (behind me) to be passed through before 3 other women, and I.
Great finally I am allowed to pass through, I am immediately advised that my groin had a problem (?), maybe your system detected that I did not have a penis. The person who stepped up to check out my groin asked me if I wanted privacy while they checked my groin. I asked if this was to be an internal examination, they said no so I was walked to the back of the scanning area where it was determined that my leggings and underpants did not present a threat to life and limb.
How about when you put in a new system you test it before you waste the time of women trying to get to their flight. If the scanners cannot handle people without penis's they don't get it, just a thought.
Desired outcome: Apology
Sexual harassment
I was recently a passenger on a flight from Perth to Esperance ZDHEIM ZL2373, I was in a rex supplied wheelchair as I had just been discharged from hospital from a serious ankle operation. While I was pushed through security I had a gentleman with 2 colleges approach me to do a security check and asked the mandatory question can we frisk you and would you like to do this in private in which i accepted to have the search just there on the spot. Ive been travelling for over 35 years so have had this before but this gentleman was very thorough, put his hands all over me and touch my penis TWICE! I assuming he was trying to teach his colleagues how to do a thorough search like they were learning but he has touched my private bits without my consent, made me feel like he was making an example of me to them.
I was flying home from surgery, to a country town in Western Australia where i live. I was groggy with a cast on unable to walk and this [censored] must of watched too many movies, like what was i suppose to be carrying to Esperance? to get manhandled in this way? I have a witness, the rex attendant who even commented it was over board.
Desired outcome: The man should be stood down
I am very disappointed with two immigration male staff members who are from Indian descents. I was scanning my passport and the gate has opened and closed behind me leaving my 6 year old behind me.
I was totally anxious about my daughter. While I was looking for my daughter a male immigration officer with a very rude voice was literally yelling at me and asked me to stand aside. And then a kind lady officer took my daughter's passport and helped my daughter with the process.
My daughter was literally shaken with the rude behavior of the staff. She was in tears. And after that when its time for the body scan, a immigration officer instead of telling her how to stand was yelled at my daughter. I quickly interfered and told the lady immigration officer that we are travelling after 6 years and its her first international travel.
So she she helped my daughter. Thanks to the kind ladies. But the the rude attitude of the two indian man was apalling. Some thing needs to be done with the attitude of the staff.
suggestion for improvement
We visit Perth regularly but this was our first experience here with the body scanner. This is significantly slower than the other walk through screener so it is pretty infuriating when one scanner is closed. There appeared to be plenty of staff so it is frustrating for passengers to have to wait, what would seem unnecessarily. The conveyor belt for hand luggage is also much slower where trays get left out of reach and when I indicated to the person behind the counter she just looked and turned away and I had a further wait until the conveyor started again. I agree that staff need to be treated with respect at all times but so do passengers it should not be one way courtesy.
Please consider some privacy around the body scanner as some people find it quite humiliating.
Ensure all scanners are operating when it is busy or at least apologise for the delay.
Have a sign that indicates that passengers will be treated courteously and that security staff expect the same.
Taxi stand close to domestic airport
1. Taxi bays are numbered but most taxis took passengers at the end (NOT from no. 1)
And then caused traffic jam when taxi drivers refused to give way to taxis ahead (too many bad drivers)
2. Rude taxi drivers and we have to ride with them when pointed out their mistakes
Suggestions:
1. Queue system guarded by metal railing
- Taxis who wants to pick up passengers MUST drive to the front
- one staff to be available during peak periods to make sure other traffic gives way to exiting taxis
Desired outcome: Suggestion:2. Points system for taxis who flout the system- banned from entering the Airport pickup area (easier said than done but that’s where the staff should manage)
Pick up drop off area
Tonight I arrived back in Perth T2 terminal at 7.35pm from Leinster. At 8:50pm my wife arrived to pick me up only for us to be trapped in a build up of vehicles trying to get out of the drop off pick up area, this was absolutely ridiculous. It took over 10 minutes to get to the exit boom gate and had to pay $12 to get out. I am very disappointed and frustrated with Perth Airport, it's not surprising that people walk out the access road to catch their ride to avoid being ripped off by the ridiculous drop off pick up area.
Desired outcome: Please refund
No clue how to run anything REAL except a ball-pont pen
Useless technocratic bungling as per usual
Drop off zone term2
This morning I dropped my partner off at 4.28am for his fifo job. A small white car was stopped in the middle pay barrier at this time. The traffic was backed up. It took me 20 minutes to reach the barrier and therefore I was charged an overstay fee of $18. I’m sure you’ll receive a lot of complaints, there was a lot of abusive people out there. The call button would not connect and i wasn’t going to sit and be abused by other drivers wanting to also get home. I have a receipt and can prove my registration number etc. I would like my $18 reimbursed please.
Thank you in advanced

What's wrong with the security team at perth airport???
Is being rude part of their job description or what? Also, they should consider checking their scanner. According to their machine, I had something on my butt on the left. They padded me and of course, there was nothing. Whatever. But then, my 15 year old son had, according to their scanner, something suspicious, right on his private area. They put him aside, had him put his hand in his pants (in front of everybody) to then use their particle detector on his hands. Seriously? Oh, and did I mentioned the guy that couldn't stop laughing while I was in the scan and who kept saying "I'm not laughing at you, hahahaha, I'm not laughing at you". Soooo professional.
We travel extensively around the globe and this is a first.
Way to go Perth! We went through your outbound security twice and we had problem twice. How about some self-reflection?
Desired outcome: How about you pull your [censored] together and start treating passengers like people, not livestock.
Check the adds for the airport security employment .
Says a lot
They are definitely on a power trip , had one of them definitely signal to her colleague after I said that why can't I leave my sunglasses and reading glasses in the x ray tray .
I had to do
The explosives test and also had a pat down
After going through the x ray machine to enter departure .
