We jus had 2 furnaces, 2 air conditioning units and a new hot water tank put in by *** the Plumber. From the time we got the quote to when they finished the job, we were so happy. The installer, his helper and the electrician were on time, pro, super respectful of our space and got the job done so fast that they finished half a day early. We would def work with *** the Plumber again and tell our fam and friends to use them too. Thanks for a great job.

Pete The Plumber Ltd. is the bomb! Our water heater croaked on Fri at 5 pm and we were in a pickle. I called the company that installed our new furnace and they said they'd call back pronto. But by 1 pm on Sat, still no word. I called their emergency number and the dude who answered was a total jerk. He said they don't do weekend emergencies. What the heck?! Why didn't they tell me that on Fri? Luckily, Pete The Plumber saved the day. They came over and fixed the problem in just 1 hr and 15 mins. Thanks, Pete The Plumber! You rock!
Had a hot water handle on bathroom sink which was loose a/c it wasn't tightened securely under the cabinet. Fiddled with handle and looked under sink and declared he couldn't tighten since he didn't have proper tools. Suggested we get new faucets. If we do, that same nut will have to be removed so he just wasn't willing to go to the trouble. Charged us labour and a service call. A waste of time and money. I'll never use Pete again. Still have problem and am looking for someone with some responsibility. Ken

They knew their stuff too. We met Pete and Sarah at the home show and we're glad we did. Pete was easy to talk to, dependable, and kept his word. We definitely recommend Pete the Plumber and we'll use them again. We also want to give a shoutout to Bob for helping us with the Tikmar invita thermostat and being patient with us while showing us how to use it. i had a new central air conditioning unit installed in my home this week and was truly impressed with all aspects of the process. i really appreciated the professionalism, the level of experience of the team and their willingness to educate and provide straight-forward guidance, the attention to detail in the installation and the fact that they cleaned up afterwards! truly exceptional service! they were also able to take care of my request very quickly especially in the middle of a heat wave in calgary during which they were super busy! ill never forget the words of the primary serviceman who said to me that he was just happy to make as many people comfortable in their homes as possible even if it meant long hours for the team. a team that cares! i couldnt be happier! great work guys!

Last month, my water softener was acting up and running every night for a whole week. We tried to fix it ourselves but it only worked for two cycles before stopping again. So, I called Pete the Plumber Ltd. since it was still under warranty. The service guy couldn't fix it on the spot, so he took it away. After two weeks, I called to check on it and was told it was being serviced at Western Plumbing. They said I had to pay $145 for the repair and the labor and transportation costs. I didn't even know they were sending it to a third party and was surprised that Pete the Plumber couldn't fix it themselves. Finally, my water softener was delivered and installed on February 8 and I was charged $460.

So, I had a guy from *** the Plumber come check out my furnace on Nov 19/21. It's been making some weird noises, like a car engine or something. The tech said he never heard anything like it before and didn't know what was causing it. He suggested I replace the inducer for $500, even though he couldn't see anything wrong with it (it says that right on the invoice, not the inducer). Or, I could just turn up the radio and hope for the best! For this amazing advice, I got charged $122. I don't feel safe ignoring a potentially dangerous furnace, especially in the middle of winter. I emailed the company and asked for a service manager to call me back, but I haven't heard anything yet.

I had a water line leak and called Pete The Plumber Ltd. to make an appointment, but the office was closed. I left a message on the machine and got a call back before business hours. They gave me an appointment for later in the day. I asked how to get water running until then and they said the office manager would call me back. Someone named '***?' called me back and said what I wanted to do was okay for a temporary fix. He told me some things to watch out for. I got my water running until the plumber arrived. When the plumber (***) got there, I showed him where the problem was. He told me what he was going to do and treated me with respect like it was his own home. He worked fast and answered all my questions. Great job, very thankful.

Pete the Plumber sent out a tech to check my furnace. After 20 mins, he gave me a list of repairs and rates. He said he couldn't do it today. I thought he was doing a "tune-up". I asked him what he did and he said he gave me the list. He said it's like a car tune-up. I told him he should have said it's a quote. He didn't say sorry and blamed the admin staff. Then he charged me. I called the manager and it took a long time to get a refund. I won't use them again. Thumbs down. No refund yet. So bad.

Bought a new water tank just over a month ago
Bought a new water tank just over a month ago. Have already had four service calls and a new igniter, which means we have been without hot water repeatedly over the last month. Finally thought we had it resolved during the last call (the service tech levelled the tank and said it had been installed incorrectly originally), but then we got a very strong gas smell. We were told a tech couldn't come out same day, so another night without hot water since we had to shut off the gas. Tech came today. Couldn't find anything. Four service calls and 5 days without hot water in the last five weeks. Completely unacceptable for a full price, brand new tank. The people are friendly, but the product is beyond terrible. Why do they continue to try to fix a brand new tank? At what point does it just get replaced? Absolutely not satisfied!"

We had to have our water shut-off valve replaced
We had to have our water shut-off valve replaced. As this also required the water to be shut off at the street, our first call to Pete the Plumber got us the information within 2 minutes to have the job coordinated properly with no difficulty at all. Unfortunately, when the job was scheduled, the City was unable to get the water shut off due to the street valve being frozen when our tech arrived. A second appointment was necessary after the street valve was unfrozen. That also was scheduled easily. For both trips, our tech, Steve, arrived promptly and with the tools necessary to do the job. When he was able to do the work on the second trip, he worked quickly and efficiently in a very cramped location. He got the work done, checked to make sure that the water was flowing properly, and cleaned up, taking the old parts with him. He answered any questions asked and made sure to tell us to call if there was a problem. He is a credit to himself and to Pete the Plumber. Oh, yes, there was no charge for the first trip, and the final bill was less than we had expected.

I got a furnace put in by Pete the Plumber in late October. I went with their fancy "high end" model for $6.5. But then, about 6 weeks later, I left my house for 48 hours during a really cold snap and when I came back, the furnace was busted, along with some appliances and pipes/toilet. I called Pete the Plumber because they said they had a "12 year" parts and labor warranty. They sent out some guy who wasn't trained in HVAC and he couldn't fix it. The next day, they sent out a guy who was trained in HVAC and he got it working again. He said it was covered by warranty because it was a "factory defect". But then, when I turned on the water, the pipes behind the shower in the master bath burst. I called Pete the Plumber again, but this time they said it wasn't their problem and it would cost a lot of money for a call out. I tried to explain that the pipes burst because the furnace broke down and the pipes froze, but the service manager didn't see any connection. So, I called another plumbing company who fixed it for free. I wouldn't recommend Pete the Plumber to anyone unless they want to waste money on a bad product from a bad company.
