Marlboro provides its customers with codes on the inside of every pack of cigarettes. These codes are added up inside your account on their site, and you can use them to purchase rewards/items from their catalogue. Realizing each pack is 100 points and the cost of a sticker is over 1000, I'm sure you'd agree these are very expensive points. I received an email from them with the opportunity to earn 100 extra points for watching an ad and correctly answering a question. I did. I answered. It said I was wrong and gave me 50 points. Knowing this was incorrect, I snapped a screenshot and took to Google. I researched the answer, and discovered I had actually gotten it right. I reach out on their automated system, but was told they were not able to help me without proof. I had proof, but understandably that was too much for the system. So, I called. I was told to send proof to an email, but the email address was wrong. I called back. I was given another email address, it too was wrong. I called a third time during which I was spoken to very disrespectfully and after requesting to speak to their manager I was placed on hold. I held. I was still holding 25 minutes later, yes I am a very patient person, the line clicked and I was disconnected. At this point, I give up. It's only 50 points, yes, and it will not affect my life either way. But as a loyal customer whose in the right, I felt so unappreciated and so disparaged. I miss the days when loyalty counted for something.
Claimed loss: $.01
Desired outcome: Then, my 50 points. Now, I would appreciate an email apologizing offering me 1 item of my choice in the overpriced catalog. Then again, I would rather have respect and appreciation.
