Beware of Pigeonly: Unauthorized Charges and Poor Customer Service
I gotta say, I'm not too happy with Pigeonly. They keep charging me $34.99 without my permission. It's happened 11 times in just 30 days! I've tried emailing and calling them, but all I get is a bunch of nonsense. I even spoke to a supervisor who promised that they wouldn't charge me again, but here I am with another pending charge.
Update as of 3/30: After weeks of talking to supervisors, they promised to refund my card and the charges they stole from me. They charged me $25 every time they charged my card, which caused me to overdraft. By the time we got to that point, they had charged me 10 times and only refunded me nine. They also promised me three free months of service, which I never received. In total, I lost $289.99 and a lot of time.
If you're looking for a service to send pictures to an incarcerated loved one, I recommend Pelipost. They have different options for photo quality, but if you just want a basic picture sent, you only pay for shipping and handling. I just sent 10 pictures for under $5. It's worth the peace of mind knowing that I won't be charged monthly or every 3 months.
If you still want to use Pigeonly, be careful. I've seen hundreds of complaints similar to mine.
Pigeonly Review: A Total Rip Off Scam!
This company is a total rip off! They claim to offer "unlimited access" to their services for $19.99, but in reality, you can only send one item at a time until it's delivered. And even then, you have to wait for them to mark it as delivered before you can send anything else. It's been over three weeks since I sent something on May 10, 2021, and I still can't send anything else because they haven't marked everything as delivered yet. It's a total scam!
To make matters worse, they offered me a free phone line provisioning for a phone number that my loved one can't even call because the number doesn't work. And then they charged me twice, totaling $52.01 in just two days, for something I didn't authorize! When I tried to chat with them, it always said they were offline. So I had to call and wait for a callback, which took forever because they're never available. When I finally got a callback, I had to explain the situation twice, and they promised to refund my account. I did get a refund three days later, but they charged it back to my account the next day! I never authorized this, and now I have to wait for yet another callback to deal with this rip off company!
My loved one has only received a few things in the month that I've sent through this site, and the first letter that was mailed from them got denied because of an unknown substance on it! When I called the company, they said they would reset my letters for the week, but they never did. This company is a total rip off, so be forewarned! I found much better apps and sites for communication with my loved one that are much quicker and a lot less expensive! And these other sites actually help other families that are in need. Unlike Pigeonly, which basically steals from people and doesn't deliver!
Pigeonly Review: Company Steals Money from Bank Account After Service Cancellation
I paid for Pigeonly's service for the first month in March 2019, but I decided to cancel it in April 2019. However, I was surprised to see that Pigeonly started drafting money from my bank account 14 times in July 2019, three months after I closed my account. They took $7.99 from my account each time. I was really upset when I found out about this, so I called them right away. They apologized and refunded my bank for five of those transactions. But I was still owed money.
I've been calling Pigeonly since November 2019 about the remaining money they owe me. It's now April 2020, and I've been given every excuse in the world as to why they haven't refunded the total amount yet. They asked for my new bank account information because I had to change cards to prevent them from stealing more money from my account. But then they said that since it had been more than 90 days, they couldn't refund the whole amount to my bank. I don't understand why they didn't refund the whole amount in the beginning.
Then they said they would mail a check, and I should get it in 30 days (February 7). But when I called back to see where the check was, they said I had to fill out a form, and billing would email a form to me. They have two emails on file, but I've never received a form or anything from them. I've asked them to email it while on the phone with me, but they say they cannot do that. Only billing can, and they'll do it within 24 hours, but they never do. I've also been in contact with two different customer service people via email, but they just give me the same lies and run around.
I've never experienced a company stealing money from my bank account several months after their service had been discontinued. I don't understand why they won't give the money back they stole from me. I've called them no less than 75 times regarding this. I made a claim with the BBB, and Pigeonly replied several times stating they'd call me, but they never have.
I suggest NOT using their service! If you do, check your bank statements daily, and order a brand new bank card after you cancel your service with them to keep them from stealing your money later on. You can Google Pigeonly claims, and you'll see that I'm not the only one! They're definitely known for stealing people's money from their bank account.
Terrible Experience with Inmate Communication Service: False Promises and Frustration
This service ain't working at all, been waiting for more than two weeks now. I've been calling them multiple times but still no progress. I'm so frustrated because my inmate hasn't received the postcard with my phone number yet. They told me to give the number to my inmate but how can I do that when they don't even know who to call or what number to dial? They keep giving me excuses and even offered me an extra month for the inconvenience, but I don't need that. My inmate will be out by then. I just want to know why it's taking so long. They blamed it on COVID-19, then on the facility being slow, and then said it should be there tomorrow. I received several texts saying that my inmate has received the postcard, but they never did.
Finally, my inmate accidentally got through to me on someone else's account and I was able to give them my phone number. But when they called, there was a revolving recorder that kept saying "press 2" and then starting over again. My inmate had to hang up because they have limited time on the phone. This has been a terrible experience and I asked for a refund, but they keep giving me false promises. They even said that a picture was sent, but I never sent any picture.
I got another text saying that my inmate can call me now, but they still couldn't get through. I asked for a refund again and they said things will be better tomorrow, but it's still the same revolving recording. I doubt I'll ever see a refund and I hope they don't charge me multiple times on my card. I'm so disappointed and unhappy with this service. I'm planning to report this to the Better Business Bureau.
Pigeonly Review: Billing Issues and How to Secure Your Payments with Privacy.com
I've been using Pigeonly for over 2 years now and I have to say, I've had some issues with their billing. Back in July, I noticed that they had overcharged me over 60 times since October of the previous year. They changed the name that appears on my bank statements and charged me varying amounts of 99 cents, 2.99, and 7.99. It was a real headache trying to get my money back, but after 2 months of calling them back and forth, they finally refunded me. However, instead of just cutting me a check for a single amount, they did like 60-70 transactions refunding me over $260 they had overcharged me over the past 7-8 months.
Despite this, I still use Pigeonly because it's the only way my friend can call me. However, I've found a way to make things easier and more secure. I highly recommend using a free service called Privacy (https://privacy.com/join/E49E8). Full disclosure, this is my referral link. I get a $5 credit and you get a $5 credit to use on anything when you use my link. The service is 100% free, there is a paid tier but it's 100% functional without paying for it.
What I do now is use a privacy.com credit card as the payment method at Pigeon.Ly. I then pause the card (a feature of privacy) and put a $8 limit per month (another feature). This way, I can control how much they charge me and prevent any unauthorized charges. This month, November, they charged my privacy card 7.99 as normal but I got a text saying that my subscription is going to end. I ignored it because I figured it was a mistake since I saw the charge. Within a day or two, my friend couldn't call me. Sure enough, logging into pigeon.ly, it said that my account was past due.
I contacted live support via chat on their website and they said that it was a mistake and they would issue a refund for the original 7.99 and I would have to pay another $7.99 but I wouldn't have to pay again until Jan 21,2020 and he said I get a month free. I have the chat log to prove it.
I unpaused and raised the limit to $20 on the privacy card and the 7.99 went through. It's only been 2 days and it's a weekend so I don't see the refund yet. However, yesterday, Saturday Nov 23, I got a message from privacy.com that they declined a charge from Pigeonly for 14.99! What? That's double what I normally pay and why did they try to take money from me when I just paid and wasn't supposed to be charged until Jan 21,2020?
I have to say, I'm really frustrated with Pigeonly. They seem like 100% crooks. But, because it's the only way my friend can call me, I have to deal with it. Thankfully, Privacy.com has made it so much better and more secure.
Captivating and Heartfelt: A Review of The Kite Runner
Pay with ONLY PREPAID CARD. DELETE CARD AFTER USING IF AT ALL POSSIBLE, ALTHOUGH THERE IS NO OPTION.
I have already had a $5.00 balance left on my Pigeonly.com from September. October rolls around, and Pigeonly automatically takes off $14.99, I'm assuming like auto pay, problem is, there is NOT an Autopay option. I have 4 kids, 15, 12, 10, & 7. All of which are in school. I can NOT have money being removed from my card/cards, regardless of the sight/matter. I am fully aware that where it showed my balance of $5.00 before the month of October, it stated on that website page, NON-REFUNDABLE. Therefore I just assumed, maybe I could add something extra or what have you. But NO.
I get an alert saying that Pigeonly has just received $14.99 via PayPal. Which was never an option, nor did I know anything about. Besides Pigeonly taking $19.99 total, of my earned money! It's also took me this long to maybe even get my message across. As well as, I CANT SIGN IN MY ACCOUNT and haven't been able too. Being a business of your statue, I do have the knowledge that you may pull up my account and plainly see that it's been a month, give or take a few, since I've actually got to use it. (Logging in wise.) This is extremely wrong in all ways. And makes me furious! Further more, the mail that I did send to my in mate, took a good 10 whole days to be sent/received, when being an ONLINE site means. Faster. Easier way. To communicate with friends and loved ones... ESPECIALLY IF PAID FOR! PIGEONLY IS NOT LEGIT in my eyes. I will not speak of, nor will I EVER recommend this site to anyone. Money hungry scammers, think nothing of themselves. At least having the decency to give a/the customer the OPTION of being charged almost $20.00, Instead of just simply STEALING out of there bank account.
It comes down to... Me, NOT BEING ABLE TO SIGN IN PERIOD! Probably wouldn't have went this far, if I could still use the site, (my account). Period! I want my $19.99 deposited back onto my card. And my card information deleted from all files. Of course, I would if I had that option as well, I would have done so myself and I wouldn't be having this issue. There again, saving my personal info without my discretion/consent is a Federal Offense, a Felony, among other charges. I hope you take into consideration, families that do NOT have much to begin with, that may have lucked up for one month and decided to try your website. Not expecting to keep being charged as a regular bill each month without him/her knowledge. #REFUND$19.99!

Pigeonly's Best Rate Phone Number Subscription: A Disappointing Experience
So, my man is in a place that uses CTC Telecoin and they charge me a whopping $3.95 for a 15-minute call. That's crazy! So, I did what any smart person would do and Googled "How to make CTC Telecoin calls cheaper" and Pigeonly popped up. I've used them before for sending cards and photos, and it was all good. So, I decided to try their "Best Rate Phone Number" subscription to save some cash. But, when I signed up, they made me do a 3-month subscription, which I wasn't too happy about, but I figured it would be worth it in the long run. I paid for it and also paid the $25 provision fee for them to add to my phone number. But, after 3 days, my account was still not funded on CTC, so I called Pigeonly to see what was up. The rep told me that their system was having issues and offered to refund me the $25 and told me to deposit it myself onto CTC to speed things up. I was happy to take the offer, and the refund came through the same day. I added the $25 to my new CTC account and told my man he could call me now. We were so excited that our calls would be cheaper, so we did two calls back to back. But, when I checked my account, I was charged $5.25 for each call instead of the $1.44 advertised on Pigeonly's website. I paid $10.50 for two 15-minute calls when I should have only paid $2.88 for both calls. I called customer service again, and the woman apologized and issued me another "Best Rate" phone number. She said they didn't know why I was being charged more and that the new number should work at the discounted rate. She asked if there was anything else she could help me with, and I asked for a refund of the $10.50 or at least the extra amount I paid. But, she said they couldn't do that because I funded the account through CTC instead of them. I reminded her that I only did it that way because THEY advised me to do that. I asked to speak with a supervisor, but she said her supervisor was in a meeting and would call me back. It's been a few hours, and I'm still waiting to hear back. Customer service was terrible, and I would NOT RECOMMEND Pigeonly.
Pigeonly Review: Promised Relief, Delivered Stress - Beware of Hidden Charges and Poor Customer Service
This company, Pigeonly, claims to help people in stressful situations, but in my experience, it only added to my stress. They promised to make calls cheaper, but instead, the cost doubled, and it took me four days to get it corrected. Even after being promised a call back, I never received one, and I had to call multiple times to get a resolution. It wasn't until I spoke to a manager that my money was refunded, but I still had to wait an additional 24 hours to talk to my husband, making it a total of five days.
Weeks later, I noticed two charges on my bank statement from Pigeonly, even though I had canceled my service with them. When I called to inquire, they blamed it on new software and promised to refund the money in three to five days. However, it's been more than three weeks, and I still haven't received my money back. When I called again, the representative told me that the money was refunded on January 17th, but I could see on my bank statement that it wasn't. After being put on hold for a few minutes, she promised to call me back in 10 to 15 minutes, and she did. She told me that my money had been refunded and would be in my account by Tuesday or Wednesday of next week.
I asked for her name and employee number, as well as a confirmation number, but she told me there was none. She suggested that I tell whoever I spoke to her name because she's the only person there by that name. When I asked to speak to the billing department or a manager, she told me they were unavailable. I decided to let it go for now and hung up.
I'm writing this review to warn others about the stress that Pigeonly caused me. I've never filed a complaint or written a review before, but I felt compelled to do so because I'm a customer, and I would've appreciated a warning to avoid this situation altogether. When I asked for a complaint department, they said they didn't have one. I hope this review prompts Pigeonly to make some changes to improve their company. While their services may work well for some people, they need to listen to those of us who have had negative experiences and grow as a company that wants to help people in stressful situations.
Pigeonly Review: A Disappointing Service for Communicating with Incarcerated Loved Ones
If you're wondering whether to use Pigeonly to communicate with someone who's incarcerated, my advice would be to think twice. Unless you don't care about the person, it's a waste of money. I'm from Ukraine, and my loved one is in California. Sending snail mail in this case would be a waste of time and money, as it takes about two weeks or more for a letter to reach the US if sent by registered mail.
Last year, I used Pigeon.ly, and the service was pretty decent. However, I switched to Jpay because it was quicker and cheaper. Earlier this year, Jpay's contract with CDCR ended, and the facility still doesn't have tablets. So, I decided to try Pigeon.ly again, but it turned out to be a great disappointment. Their service has turned into a joke.
First of all, they claim that you can send an unlimited amount of mail for a monthly fee. However, in reality, you have to wait until the previous piece of mail is delivered. I'm okay with that, but after using them for a month, I realized that the service has turned into a mess.
They didn't send my photo order for almost a month, so it turned out to be one photo order in an "unlimited" pack. I argued with customer support a lot about it, and they finally told me that they were overwhelmed with photo orders, causing a delay in processing. They're telling this BS to people who are paying them money for orders being processed on time. Why should customers have to care about it? They should get a couple more printers!
My man didn't receive any of the five postcards I sent to him through Pigeon.ly, which is suspicious. I would believe that the facility would lose a couple of those, but all five? Pigeon.ly claims that the postcards were all delivered, and it's the facility's fault. However, postcards that I send through Ameelio are reaching them in time and without any problems.
I sent a letter to customer support, reminding them that my order from August 9th, which is a greeting, is still marked as "printed" and was never sent. It's been 20 days. My order from August 18th, which is photos, is still marked as processing, and it's already been 11 days. My order from August 19th, which is a letter, is still only "printed," and it's been 10 days.
Of course, I'll get a bunch of empty excuses again and assurances that my orders will all be delivered and sent. But I already know that's just lies, and it won't happen anytime soon.
If you're looking for a company that allows you to send mail to your loved one in prison faster, don't even think about Pigeon.ly. Jmail is expensive, but they've been perfect when you need to send something quickly. They're saying Ameelio service has become better since they've switched into more of a paid app, but I haven't checked into that yet.
Unreliable and Useless: My Disappointing Experience with Pigeonly
I gotta tell ya, I had a not so great experience with Pigeonly. I was tryna find a provider to help me with my loved ones who are in jail, and ended up clicking on Pigeonly's website. Let me tell you, it was a bit sketchy, and I had to reconnect twice just to figure out what was going on. And when I finally got connected, nobody could give me a straight answer to my questions.
To make things worse, I found out that Pigeonly's service wasn't even gonna be useful to me. Can you believe it? I was so annoyed that I decided to cancel the whole thing. Ain't nobody got time for misleading and useless services, am I right?
Now, I ain't tryna be negative, but it's already hard enough dealin' with those 5-0 pigs, so why bother messin' with Pigeonly unless you really like the way their whole system works. And let me tell you, the people that profit off of sufferin' and jailin' folks ain't no fun to deal with either.
Honestly, my advice to y'all is to try to find a different provider that's more reliable and easy to work with. Pigeonly just ain't worth the hassle.
Pigeonly Review: A Total Scam - Don't Waste Your Money!
This website called Pigeonly? Ugh, what a scam! I mean, seriously, do they even know how to spell? But that's not even the worst part. They don't give you a straight answer on the price, they just keep saying it's a great deal and then BAM - they take your money. And let's be real, if you want to talk to your loved one who's stuck in jail, you don't have much choice in these companies. It's not like you can just pop in for a visit. And if you want to send them some food, forget about it. They charge you an arm and a leg for some ramen noodles that cost way less at the store. It's a total rip-off!
And don't even get me started on their emails. They're so fake and sappy, it's gross. They act like they care about you and your family, but all they really care about is getting their hands on your cash. Like, they kept emailing me even after I cancelled their service. It's like, leave me alone already!
I'm never using Pigeonly again. It's a waste of time and money. There are plenty of other ways to stay in touch with your family and friends in jail and I'm sure they don't charge an arm and a leg for some basic necessities. So save your money and avoid this scam of a site.
BEWARE: My Terrible Experience with Pigeonly - Unauthorized Charges and Poor Customer Service
Hey, listen up! I wanted to let you all know about my experience with Pigeonly. I gotta be honest, it wasn't great. I had to block them from my bank account because they kept takin' my hard-earned money. But get this, they just used a different name to get around it and snatched some cash again this month. I mean, come on, that's not right.
To make things worse, they tried to say it was all good when I cancelled my account on March 4th. But guess what? They still tried to take money outta my account in March, April, and May. After they said I wouldn't be charged again! What kinda nonsense is that?
Their customer service team tried to tell me to call 'em to sort it out, but I ain't got the time for that. I just want my money back and for them to stop messin' with my account. It's frustrating as heck.
So yeah, I gotta say, I won't be using Pigeonly again. And y'all should be careful too. Don't let 'em take advantage of ya like they did to me.
Pigeonly Review: A Total Scam! Beware of Sneaky Charges and Fraudulent Transactions
So, I tried out Pigeonly and went with the option where you pay as you go. I only made one transaction and it was for $24.99. I didn't want a subscription or anything like that. But, oh man, did things go haywire. They charged me over 14 times for $39.99! Can you believe that? And they never even contacted me to let me know what was going on- they just kept on taking out $40 from my account. Sometimes even three times a day! It was nuts. They ended up taking out over $600 from my account.
The worst part is, they claimed that I never ended the subscription that I never even signed up for in the first place. How sneaky is that? And to top it off, they label their charges as "inmatesvc" on your bank statement. How sketchy can you get? No wonder I had no idea what these charges were for.
So, I had to dispute the charges with my bank and ended up having to get a new card because of all the fraudulent charges. But guess what? A month later, Pigeonly disputed my dispute and recharged my bank account! Can you believe that?
Overall, I'm pretty convinced that Pigeonly is a total scam. My advice to you would be to never enter any bank or card info on their website. You'll never get your money back and end up like me, out $600 for something I never even agreed to. Keep your money safe and avoid Pigeonly at all costs!
My Experience with Pigeonly: Decent but Watch Out for Double Charges and Account Deletion Issues
Yo, I gotta tell you about my experience with Pigeonly. It's not the best, but it's not the worst either. I mean, there's not a lot of options out there so I figured I'd give it a try. The product itself is pretty decent, I gotta admit that. But there's a catch. Sometimes, for no apparent reason, double or even triple transactions would show up on my card! And it's been happening since 2017, can you believe that? It's crazy. Just a heads up, you'll be charged multiple times for your subscription, so make sure you check your bank account regularly. They do give you a refund after they do their little investigation, but still, it's a hassle.
Now, here's the kicker. I cancelled my subscription 10 months ago, right? And I find out that you can't delete your account or card info. And guess what? I got charged for a subscription I didn't even want or need! Can you imagine? I know they'll probably give me a refund again, but it's just annoying, you know what I mean?
Overall, I'd say Pigeonly is decent if you don't mind dealing with some transaction issues and not being able to delete your account. But hey, it's better than nothing, I guess.
Stay Away from Pigeonly: A Nightmare Experience with Customer Service and Illegal Practices
So, I gotta tell you, my experience with Pigeonly has been a hot mess. I thought I cancelled my membership back in February, but turns out I've been getting charged a whopping $100 for a service I don't even use anymore. It's been a complete nightmare trying to get a hold of anyone in their so-called "customer service" department. Don't even get me started on the email back and forth. It took two weeks just to get a response. And when I do finally get someone on the phone, I'm waiting for what feels like hours on hold.
Honestly, I wouldn't suggest using Pigeonly unless you have a lot of money to burn and a ton of free time to wait on hold. It's just not worth the headache, ya know?
But guess what? That's not even the worst part. Seven months later, Pigeonly thinks they can just slide right back into my life. They've started charging me AGAIN. THREE times within the last week, to be exact. I'm honestly disgusted by this company and the way they choose to do business. It's criminal, really. They should definitely be held accountable for their illegal practices.
All in all, I wouldn't recommend Pigeonly to anyone. Stay far away from this shady company.
Pigeonly - Stay Far Away: A Review of Thievery and Negligence
I got some serious beef with Pigeonly (pigeonly.com). I thought I had cancelled my account back in July 2021, but boy was I wrong. Starting from December 13 all the way to January 4, 2022, they charged my card a whopping fifteen times with two different names. And get this, they stole $39.99 each time. That's a grand total of $599.00 and change, folks! And let me tell you, I ain't a baller like that. I rely on my social security payment, and that's the card they charged. So not only did I miss out on Christmas, but now I'm completely broke. I don't get no food stamps or nothin', so I'm frickin' starving over here.
Now, I done read some of these other reviews, and it seems like this ain't no one-time mistake or computer error. No, siree, this is downright thievery! They done stole my hard-earned money, and they done it on purpose. Well, I ain't one to take this lying down. I'm gonna get me a lawyer and I'm gonna sue these scammers for every penny they swindled from me. And not just that, but I'm gonna make sure they pay for the pain, suffering, and hunger they caused me with their gross negligence. I refuse to let these crooks get away with it.
So, y'all listen up and take my advice: stay far away from Pigeonly. Don't let them scam you like they done me. Spread the word and let everyone know that these folks are nothing but a bunch of thieves. And to Pigeonly, if you're reading this, you better watch out 'cause I'm coming for my money and I ain't stopping until I get it.
Pigeonly Review: Shady Business Practices and Inaccurate Information
I gotta say, my experience with Pigeonly was one of the shadiest that I've had with a company. They promised me inmate location service, but ended up giving me a bunch of incorrect information. And then, get this, they started billing me a bunch of times a month for no reason! Like, why would anyone want to give you their money if you can't even provide the service you promised?
I tried reaching out to them multiple times, by emails and messages on their website, to tell them to stop billing me. But they never listened. I'm talking April-May, 2021. And they just kept doing it until I had to cancel my credit card to get them to stop. Like, c'mon guys, is that really the kind of reputation you want to have? To be known as a business that can't take no for an answer?
And you know what's even worse? Just the other day, I got a notification from my bank saying that Pigeonly was trying to charge my cancelled credit card AGAIN! Like, seriously, can these people not take a hint?
Honestly, I think the folks behind Pigeonly should be held accountable for their actions. Maybe they should even be thrown in prison themselves. It's just not fair to take advantage of people like that. So if you're thinking of using Pigeonly, I would think twice. There are plenty of other companies out there that won't scam you.
Beware of Pigeonly: Poor Customer Service and Unwanted Charges
This company called Pigeonly is not the best, let me tell you. They charged me some money that I didn't want and then it just keeps coming. You can't get out of it easily, they make it really hard. And when you talk to customer service, it's like talking to someone in a foreign country, which I guess is because they are in India. It's not that great though because there are no managers or supervisors to help you out.
If you're in the same boat as me, please reach out to me at ***@gmail.com, and we'll sue them together! You have to make sure to get them to email you while you're on the phone and make sure that they say that you're getting a refund. And don't forget to record everything. You don't want to get in trouble with the law in your state, though, so make sure you can legally record calls.
I think it's important not to close your bank account because they can still keep charging you, and actually, the more they charge you the better for our lawsuit. Be careful with these guys, and don't give up until you get your money back. Trust me, it's worth it.
Pigeonly Review: Stay Away - A Scam Targeting Those with Loved Ones in Jail
Man, I was really hyped about Pigeonly, but dang it was a real letdown. I decided to give it a shot 'cause I wanted to keep in touch with my friend who's locked up. I paid for the monthly service so I could send 'em as many pictures and letters as I wanted. But when I searched for my friend's name on the website, it came right up and seemed like everything was good to go, but then the prison wouldn't accept anything from Pigeonly and all my stuff got sent back to me.
So I tried to cancel and get my money back, but man oh man, it's been a hassle. They said they'd refund me, like, three times now, but I still haven't gotten my money back. And every time I email 'em, it takes 'em forever to respond and they just keep tellin' me the same thing over and over. I tried calling them too, but their customer service number just rang and rang with no answer.
I feel like this is all a big ol' scam. They know that people with friends in jail are usually strugglin' and don't have a lot of money, so they prey on 'em. And once they got your cash, they don't care if you're happy with the service or not. It's sad 'cause if they did things right, Pigeonly could be a great way to stay in touch with loved ones who are incarcerated.
And don't even get me started on their "free" trial. You get three days to try it out, but then they get ya. They make you give 'em your card info and even if you write a letter during your trial, it doesn't get sent out for four or five days. So then you're stuck keepin' the service just so your letter will get sent, and they got ya suckered.
Overall, I'd say stay away from Pigeonly. If they ain't even gettin' mail to people in prison, what's the point, ya know? If I could give it zero stars, I would. It's a real shame that they ain't doin' things right, 'cause they could be helpin' a lot of people out.

On June 23 I had 2 transactions of 34.98. I cancelled this over a year ago. And now I get charged twice without my permission they said it's an update that just randomly hit some customers cards. They would refund in 7 days. I have received 3 emails saying I would get a refund asap. Well it has now been 15 days. Still have yet to receive my refund.

Pigeonly Review: A Complete Rip-Off! Stay Away from This Scam Company
This company, Pigeonly, is a complete rip-off! They have been charging me for months for services that I never even used. I had no idea that my car information was saved on their site because I never saved it myself. When I tried to go back to the site to see what was going on and delete my card, it kept saying "error, please call the 800 number." But when I called, no one answered or I was put on hold for long periods of time. When I went back to the website to try again to delete my card info, it was already deleted. I tried to start a chat with a representative to voice my concerns, but they were not online. I tried calling again with no answer.
I never signed up for any auto-pay because there's no auto-pay option. Who the heck would sign up for auto-pay to send pictures? Nobody is sending that many pictures when it takes damn near three weeks for your loved one to get the pictures, and you can't send any more until they receive the first batch. It's supposed to be unlimited, but it's a complete lie!
I decided to do some research on the company, and it turns out that it was started by a guy who was in jail. I'm not saying that all people who do time are trying to scam people, but this one definitely is. I'm currently trying to contact the BBB because I want my money back, and this company should be shut down. Conveniently, their comment section is closed on their website.
Stay away from this company! Not all companies are bad, but this one definitely is.
Unreliable and Untrustworthy: My Experience with Pigeonly's Inmate Communication Service
So, I started using Pigeonly (pigeonly.com) in October 2021 and I was pretty excited about it. It's a service that helps you stay in touch with your loved ones who are incarcerated. I thought it was a great idea and I was happy to give it a try. However, things quickly went downhill.
In November 2021, I noticed that I had five charges of $39.99 on my account during a 10 day period. I was shocked and confused. I emailed Pigeonly to ask what was going on and they told me that it was a "system upgrade that double charged". But my account was not $39.99 a month so it could not be a "double" charge. It was just random charges. I was really frustrated and I didn't know what to do.
Even after I reported the unauthorized charges, more charges were added to my account. I was really upset and I decided to cancel my credit card to ensure no more charges. I read on BBB and on this site that others, even years ago, were having the same problem. I couldn't believe it. Why is this company still operating after doing this for years?
They did eventually refund my money after a lot of back and forth, but it was a really frustrating experience. NOTE: The charges only show up on your credit card, NOT your account, so you need to check your credit card regularly. I kept asking for a proper invoice of charges and they refused to ever send it (I asked at least 5 times). The other odd thing is that on the site there is no list of what services you get for what fees. It's a very sparse website, I think for a reason.
In any event, I strongly urge people NOT to use Pigeonly. If you do decide to use it, make sure you check your credit card regularly. Also, if you see random charges and they say "wait a few days", you likely will just get more charges while you wait, as I did. I had to cancel my credit card and it was a huge hassle.
Overall, I was really disappointed with my experience with Pigeonly. I think they need to be more transparent about their fees and they need to do a better job of communicating with their customers. I wouldn't recommend this service to anyone.
False Advertising: My Disappointing Experience with Pigeonly's "Unlimited" Service
So, I recently tried out Pigeonly and I have to say, I'm pretty disappointed. I kept seeing the word "unlimited" everywhere on their website and in their emails, but when I tried to send a second item, I got an error message. What gives? I feel like I've been falsely advertised to and I want a refund.
I was really hoping that Pigeonly would make my life a little easier. With my husband away, I'm taking care of our three kids and trying to keep up with everything around the house. I thought that being able to send letters, cards, postcards, and pictures to my husband whenever we wanted would be a huge help. But now I'm stuck having to buy stamps and address envelopes to send to the jail. It's just one more thing to worry about.
It's frustrating because it feels like Pigeonly is taking advantage of people who are already going through a really tough time. I only signed up for one month of their services because I thought it would be enough, but now I'm regretting it. I wish I had known that their "unlimited" promise wasn't actually true.
I guess the joke's on me for assuming that Pigeonly would actually follow through on their promises. I just hope that other people don't make the same mistake I did.
Pigeonly Review: Poor Customer Service and Refund Policy
So, I decided to give Pigeonly a try and signed up for a 3-month subscription for $57.99. However, I quickly realized that I didn't fully understand what I was getting and decided to cancel on the same day. I was told that it would take 7-10 business days for my refund to show up in my account, but when I called on May 20th, I was told by a representative named Shane that they don't do refunds and that it was a final sale. I was never informed of this policy before making my purchase.
After some back and forth, Shane agreed to expedite my refund request, but I still haven't received any confirmation or my refund, even though more days have passed. As someone who has worked in customer service for many years, I am extremely disappointed with the way I have been treated. I have a loved one who is incarcerated, but the prison he is at doesn't use Pigeonly's services, so there was no point in me keeping the subscription.
I just want my refund, but it seems like I'm getting the runaround from Pigeonly. I called again on May 30th and asked to speak to a supervisor, but was told that one would call me back within an hour. I never received a call or an email, and when I followed up, I was told that they needed to work on their training. This is unacceptable. Where is my refund? It's long overdue, and I'm tired of being lied to by this company.
Overall, my experience with Pigeonly has been frustrating and disappointing. I would not recommend this company to anyone, especially if you're looking for reliable customer service.
Mixed Experience with Pigeonly: 7-Day Free Trial Review
So, I decided to give Pigeonly a try with their 7-day free trial to see if it's worth the $40. I sent my first letter right after signing up, but the next morning, they tried to charge my card twice for the full amount. I was taken aback by this, especially since it was only the second day of my trial. It made me question if this site is trustworthy or not. However, I was lucky enough to have used a prepaid card with no funds on it, so they couldn't charge me. I tried to access my account, but I couldn't until I called customer service.
When I spoke to the lady on the phone, she kept apologizing for the inconvenience, but she didn't seem to know how to help me. She stumbled through her words, and it was frustrating. Eventually, I was able to access my account again, but it left me feeling unsure about the site's reliability.
As a single mother, I rely on Pigeonly to keep in touch with my husband at an affordable price. I hope they don't try to scam people, especially during such a difficult time in their lives. I'm still waiting to see if my husband receives the letters I sent, and that will determine if I continue to use Pigeonly or not.
Pigeonly Review: Unacceptable Service, No Respect for Families or Loved Ones
I had to get in touch with someone I care about and decided to use Pigeonly. I set up my account, paid for the number, and put in an initial deposit of $25.00 on Friday. Today is Sunday and my loved one has tried to call me six times, but each time I've been asked to enter my card number due to low funds. I called Pigeonly this morning to ask why I can't use the service I paid for and their answer was that my payment won't be processed until Monday. MONDAY?!?!
So, let me get this straight. I paid for a service, I paid to load funds, and because I don't have multiple cards to use, the card I used to initially fund and purchase the plan can't be used because it's being processed? What the actual hell? I'm sure they realize how much pain, anxiety, and frustration they are causing not only the inmate but their families and loved ones. The biggest problem is that they don't care. They are awarded a contract to perform services that are desperately needed, and even the representative on the phone agreed with me when I said that they are causing additional and unnecessary stress, leaving me basically "$#*! out of luck" until it's processed.
This company has absolutely no respect for families, no integrity, and no compassion. I'm absolutely livid right now because he has called me twice while writing this and both times my card was rejected by the company. Not my bank, but Pigeonly. The owner, CEO, and executives should be absolutely ashamed of themselves. This is completely unacceptable and immoral.
I understand that mistakes happen, but this is not a mistake. This is a complete disregard for the people who rely on their services. I hope that they take a long hard look at themselves and make some serious changes. Families and loved ones deserve better than this.
Disappointed with Pigeonly: Order disappeared and money taken from account
So, I decided to give Pigeonly a try and ordered a phone line. I patiently waited for a couple of weeks to receive the number, but to my surprise, it disappeared from my orders. However, they took the money from my bank account, which left me feeling frustrated. I checked my account, and it said that the card I sent to them was delivered, so I hope that's true and that it gets to him. I must say that it's a good service in that perspective, but I was disappointed that my order disappeared.
I needed to find a way to communicate with my loved one overseas, and since he doesn't have JPay anymore, I thought Pigeonly would be a great alternative. They only allow physical mail sent by USPS, so I was happy to find a service that could help me communicate with him. However, after this experience, I'm going to cancel my subscription and try jmail.cc instead.
When I first found the website, it told me that greetings cards and other items were 7.99, but when I made an account, it wouldn't let me buy things as a one-time purchase. I had to buy the $25/month subscription, which was a bit more than I wanted to spend. I'm not sure about this website, and some of the reviews on here seem sketchy. All of them have the same title like "awesome," which makes me wonder if they're genuine.
I won't bother with customer service because I've seen bad reviews in that perspective, so I'm just going to accept that my money is gone and move on with life. Personally, I wouldn't recommend Pigeonly due to the fact that they took my money, and then my order disappeared. It's frustrating, and I don't want anyone else to have to go through the same thing. Be careful when using this service, and make sure to read the reviews before making a purchase.
Pigeonly Review: A Disappointing Service That Only Cares About Your Money
I gotta say, Pigeonly is a real disappointment. It's like they don't even care about you being able to talk to your loved ones. All they care about is getting your money. I made the mistake of prepaying for their service, thinking it would be a good way to stay in touch with my husband while he was away. But boy was I wrong.
The number they provided for my husband to call me was a total disaster. He had issue after issue with it, and I called Pigeonly multiple times to complain. But they just kept telling me that the number was working fine and they didn't know why he was having problems. What's the point of paying 21 cents a minute if the number doesn't even work most of the time?
After two weeks of this nonsense, I'd had enough. I demanded a refund and told them to cancel my account or fix the issues. The lady on the phone said she'd have someone look into it, but a week went by and I heard nothing. Then I got an email saying my account was closed. What about my money? I called again and talked to Angel, who promised to take care of the issue. She said they'd been doing some work on the system and that's why my husband was having problems. But nobody bothered to tell me that! After 45 minutes on the phone, Angel said she'd call me back to fix the issue. But of course, she never did.
This company is a total joke. They claim to care about keeping you in touch with your loved ones, but all they care about is taking your money and cancelling your account. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from Pigeonly. They're a terrible, terrible company.
Pigeonly Review: Good Idea, Poor Execution - Confusing Website, Hidden Fees, and Limited Services
Pigeonly is a pretty good idea, but they need to work on their execution. The website can be pretty confusing. For example, they say that letters are only $2.99, but that's not the whole story. Once you click on the letters button, they hit you with a $4.99 premium fee. And if you want to pay in advance, they don't break down the costs for you. I signed up for three different prisoner accounts and the prices were all different. I tried to get some help from their chat, but the agent was just as confused as I was.
Another issue is the postcards. The pictures are really small and the ads take up most of the front. So you're not really sending a real postcard picture. And they don't offer refunds, ever. They also won't contact the prison if your mail gets returned. And they won't tell you if the prison will accept postcards, but they won't give you a refund if they don't.
They do offer a free video with each postcard, but most prisons won't accept it. So you're paying for a lot of services that you might not even be able to use.
Overall, Pigeonly is a good idea, but they need to fix some things. They need to listen to their customers and make some changes. Until then, it might not be worth the trouble.
Pigeonly Photo Service Review: Disappointing Customer Service and Slow Processing Times
So, I decided to give Pigeonly a try with their $0.99 trial to send photos for the first month. I was excited to send a photo of my cat to my friend who is currently incarcerated, but unfortunately, it has been two weeks and the photo has not been received yet. I read some other reviews and it seems like there is a chance that the prison may never accept the photo. I was disappointed, but then I realized that I could send multiple photos at once. I set up a new order to send photos of both my cat and dog, but it has been two weeks and the order still has not been processed. It's frustrating because places like CVS can process photos in just 60 minutes, but Pigeonly can't seem to do it in two weeks.
I tried to reach out to their customer service department this morning, but the email was returned as undeliverable. I'm starting to get worried that the email address may not even exist. I'm keeping a close eye on the calendar so that I can cancel before my month trial is up. I don't anticipate receiving any photos by that time. I've read some other reviews and I'm already calling my credit card company to protect myself from any further charges from Pigeonly. I'm surprised that there are actually some good reviews on this site because my experience has not been good at all.
I understand that Pigeonly was created by someone who spent time incarcerated and wanted more contact with the outside world. The intentions were good, but the customer service and operations are just not up to par. I wouldn't recommend this service to anyone and I'll be canceling before my month trial is up. I hope to prevent them from trying to charge my credit card any further, even if I have to cancel it and get a new number. Buyer beware!
Pigeonly's Premium Plan Let Me Down: A Review of Inmate Services and Postage Deals
I ain't too happy with Pigeonly, to be real. I paid for that fancy pants premium plan-for inmates and postage deals and stuff-and it ain't even workin' right. I'm tryna talk to my boy on the phone line they got set up, but the darn thing don't work. It keeps sayin' I ain't got no funds, even though I just bought some! What's takin' so long? Makes me feel like I got ripped off or somethin'. And it ain't just the phone line- my photo orders ain't goin' through either. I pay up and it just says "processing". Really gettin' on my nerves, if ya catch my drift.
Pigeonly: A Complete Joke That Will Rip You Off
Listen man, I gotta tell ya, I was super disappointed with Pigeonly. You know, I heard all these great things about it and how it was gonna save me a ton of cash on phone calls to my loved ones in the slammer. But let me tell ya, it was a complete joke.
First off, the phone calls were exactly the same as the ones on GTL Connect Network. I mean, come on, Pigeonly rep told me it was only gonna be 10 cents per minute, but I only got 15 minutes of talk time! What kind of BS is that? I did the math and it came out to be the same price as GTL Connect - $1.50! I'm not saving any money here, man.
And what really grinds my gears is that Pigeonly wants to charge me $7.99 for a subscription. Like, what the heck am I even paying for?! GTL Connect Network is free, for crying out loud! This whole thing is just one big scam, dude. Pigeonly is totally screwing y'all over!
Oh, and get this - after I cancelled my services, they still went ahead and took $2.99 out of my account! What a bunch of scam artists, man. I'm telling ya, stay away from Pigeonly. It's a total ripoff.
Be Careful with Automatic Payments on Pigeonly - A Review of Sending Mail to Loved Ones in Prison
Yo, so if you're thinking about using Pigeonly, just make sure you don't put your card on file for the automatic payments. Trust me, they'll charge you a bunch of times and it's a real pain to get your money back. I've been through this a few times and they've taken my payment like three times in one month. It's ridiculous.
And here's the thing - I've complained about it, but it still happens. So I'm done. I'm cancelling my subscription and moving on to something else. Plus, they won't even let you delete your card from your account, so they can just take your money whenever they feel like it. Seriously, not cool.
But, all that being said, when they do get it right, the service itself is pretty decent. I mean, it's not perfect, but it gets the job done. You can send photos and letters and stuff like that to your loved ones in prison. And they have a lot of different options, so you can choose what works best for you.
So I guess my advice would be to use Pigeonly, but be careful with the payments. And if you do run into any problems, don't expect them to be super helpful about it. But if you can deal with that, it's not a bad service overall.
Efficient and Responsive: My Experience with Pigeonly Customer Service
I gotta come clean. At first I wasn't feelin' Pigeonly, but I gotta give credit where credit is due. A couple times, I noticed money was missing outta my account without my say-so. You best believe I was heated (I hardly had any cash in there to begin with), but I gotta hand it to Pigeonly - they're fast efficient and responsive. They said it would take up to a whole week to peel apart the problem and return the cash, but Pigeonly managed to get it all settled within just 3 days. Yeah, the money problem was a real bummer, but the way Pigeonly dealt with it was smoother than butter.
My Experience with Pigeonly: Pros and Cons of Inmate Communication Service
So, let me tell you about my experience with Pigeonly. Honestly, it was a bit of a struggle for me to figure out how to make an account and add some cash to it. I mean, I'm not the most tech-savvy person out there, but I was really hoping for a more user-friendly interface. After a bit of fumbling around, though, I finally managed to get everything set up.
Now, here's where things got a little strange. When I went to add my phone number, I ended up with a completely different number for Pigeonly to call instead of my own. That threw me off, for sure, and I'm still feeling a little confused about it. Plus, the fact that my inmate doesn't have that number means we haven't been able to connect yet. It's frustrating, to say the least.
Another issue I found was how long it takes to send photos. In my county jail, it usually only takes a few hours at the most, but with Pigeonly, it can take three to five business days. I understand there might be some logistical issues involved, but it's definitely not ideal.
All in all, I think Pigeonly has some good intentions and could be a helpful tool for people trying to connect with their loved ones in jail. However, there are definitely some kinks that need to be worked out. If you're willing to be patient and put up with a few hiccups, it could be worth a try.
Beware of Pigeonly's Unwanted Charges: A Review
I gotta say, Pigeonly ain't the best. I thought I had stopped the service with them back in April or March of last year, but then I saw some charges on my bank statement in January of this year. Turns out they were taking 39.99 from me 19 freakin' times between December and January! Can you believe that?!
So, of course, I gave them a call and luckily I was able to get 16 of those charges back. But those other three charges they haven't given back yet and I've been calling them non-stop about it. It's just not right, you know?
I ain't one to complain or write a review, but this really rubbed me the wrong way. And to think I trusted them with my time and money. Ugh. Just look at the picture below, that's proof of those charges on January 3rd. I wouldn't recommend Pigeonly to anyone, that's for sure.
Pigeonly Review: Disappointing and Unethical Service - Save Your Money!
I had the same experience as Cathy when I used Pigeonly. Months ago, I cancelled my subscription, switched to a new card, and contacted customer service about unauthorized charges, but they didn't help at all. I got the service to send articles and photos to an inmate but it turned out to be a wrong decision because the information provided by the website was incorrect. The articles and pictures that were sent were not supposed to be sent from the company. It was really disappointing because Pigeonly turned out to be such a scam.
Even though their service was bad right from the start, they still charged me months after I canceled my subscription. It's hard to believe that some companies can be so unethical. The customer service is poor and they didn't offer any refunds for the unauthorized charges.
In conclusion, it’s so frustrating to waste your money and time on a service like Pigeonly. They promise to provide a good service, but in reality, they fail to deliver. I would never use this service again, and neither should you. It’s a waste of your hard-earned money. I would rate this service -100 out of 10.
