Powertrain Products Junk engine and dishonest warranty

Sold a new engine from powertrain, imminently had multiple problems with multiple leaks and their installations of sensors... upon conversation with powertrain they took it upon themselves to call and take care of issues with mechanic companies directly...upon payment of mechanic (about 4k in warranty repair on a 200 mile driven engine) and 6 months of trying to get paid back by powertrain on their approved fixes they called mechanic directly on was finally informed today that I can piss off and get my money from the mechanic as they forgot to tell the shop they called directly to send the parts back...needless to say. Backbone automotive, O'Halloran, shoneys auto and loveland auto have all agreed after their deals with powertrain that they will never speak yet alone use their [censored] parts or dishonest warranty...RUN FAR FROM THIS COMPANY!

Recommendation: RUN FAR FROM POWERTRAIN TRASH

Powertrain Products Dishonest thieves

Thousands of dollars in repairs on a new engine with less than 500 miles! Powertrain products called the shop directly and approved fixing their problems in China made parts...at first I thought that was helpful, turns out they "forgot" to tell the shop to return the parts and in return denied all the shop costs leaving me with their bill!
RUN FAST AND FAR FROM THE POWERTRAIN PRODUCTS INC. JUNK!

Powertrain Products Powertrain - known problems

Be careful about purchasing from this company. Investigate local installers prior to purchasing. Local installers refuse to work directly with Powertrain due to poor reputation. I purchased an engine which failed within 6 months, and less than 1K miles. Per Powertrain warranty department this was a known manufacturer issue. Company did replace engine, however, did not cover new install cost; which I had to pay. Powertrain defaulted to limited warranty language (4 months later); rather than step-up and cover full install, as this was a known problem.

Recommendation: Do not buy from this company

The remanufactured transmission I ordered from PowerTrain Products is performing magnificent. My 2010 Hummer H3t pickup truck feels like it's brand new, at 228,000 miles. The replaced transmission was rebuilt or worked on three times in 14 months. I was afraid that the truck was junkyard material, BUT y'all saved my truck. I can't thank you enough. I'm so happy that I did business with Powertrain Products.

First and last dealing with Powertrain Products. I only wish a 0 stars was possible. We ordered a transmission for a customer's car on 11/16, it shipped 11/30 and 12/5 found that they sent the wrong one. Called 12/7 and told they'd look into it and call right back in which they never did. I didn't hear until 12/6 that it would be another 7-10 business days. It is now 12/22 and I have been calling since yesterday to find the status. It is almost 1:30 in the afternoon and I still know nothing except that we were to keep in mind apparently that they do not work on Saturday or Sunday but my math tells me that not including the weekends that it has already been 12 days! This has been a nightmare and they will not do anything for me or my customer to make it right because they said they did not make any money off of this. I see they have had some good reviews and I don't know if something has happened since but this is certainly not how a good business should run.

We just need to know when to expect the transmission for our customer.

This business sold me a transmission. When it arrived it looked like someone had beat it with a hammer on the side. This was not shipping damage! The replacement they sent was installed by my ASE Master mechanic! The transmission was fine until 6000 miles were on it and it started to leak from the from the front seal. They sent a replacement. It was installed and the vehicle did not make it out the door. It made a huge clunk in reverse and the vehicle didn't move. I called the company and asked for a refund on 1800 dollars I paid for my first transmission! I decided to go with a different company for my transmission. They wanted to send another transmission to replace the broken one. I said I did not trust there rebuilder and quality control. I talked to Ashley at Powertrainproducts.com and I have never been so mistreated from a Warranty person before and was rude and no apology at all. I complained to them that their quality control was second rate and was not going to spend more money for an install that would not work! I was told that they do not have back to back failures! I was poorly treated and with no remorse or helpful solution. I explained because of these failures I had thousands of dollars because of their poor quality of work. This did not matter to them at all! I told Ashley and her response was my complaint was not going to get me a refund. Beware of this company they may help you but their quality control is the worst I have ever experienced. The warranty department is rude but they think they are being helpful by being rude. This company has cost me money and time with no remorse or accountability on their part. Ashley should be at least demoted and retrained to work in the rebuild facility just to see that their work and transmissions are less then substandard! If I were the owner of this company I would take a long hard look at what is happening to his Eddie Symonds powertrainproducts.com company! Believe me Eddie you have a serious problem on your hands!

Powertrain Products Inc is great, and one thing that makes them great is their staff.
Daniel in sales and Ashley in warranty went well beyond what I consider normal customer service. They took away my stress in selling, servicing, delivering and returning the cores of awesome products.
Their immediate answer to my needs were impressive. I can't express my pleasure enough dealing with such professionals.
Thank you Powertrain Products.
Will recommend you to the world.

Powertrain Products I purchased an engine from them for 2447.54

I purchased an engine from them for 2447.54. I got a tracking number and a website for the shipping company. Everyday I check the status. Until one day I do and it shows delivered. I'm a bit panicked because I don't have my engine and its showing delivered. So I call them. After being transferred to 3 different people, a nice woman got on the phone (she's the only pleasant thing about all this) and told me that it was delivered to their Stevensville location Maryland location. That's probably something someone should have told me. She also told me that someone would try and deliver it on Friday 4/2. This was after 2pm when I spoke to her. I got no call that someone was on the way, that they came by, no text, no email, no note on the door...nothing. I don't know this company, had no past dealings with them. I have no ax to grind. This annoys me, no I post a negative review. Rather than performing good customer service, Ed, get argumentative about how he's trying to imply its my fault that I don't have my engine. Goes on to tell me that I wasn't home. I was home. Me and my wife were home, thanks to COVID. Tells me about how he's taken on expenses shipping it and how a bad review hurts a small company like theirs. WELL NEXT TIME DO YOUR JOB! Do what you promised and stop debating and making excuses for why its everyone else's fault, which you did in just about every negative review. Just take the money and do your job. It's simple.

Powertrain Products Motor

I purchased a motor from them about 2 years ago. The motor never cranked. The said it was oil starvation. The motor never cranked I said. They would be responsible for labor had that excepted responsibility. I had them to ship the next motor to the dodge dealer. They sent a completely assembled motor. That made me think they sent a used motor. I purchased a remanufactured motor. They denied sending it. Once the motor was installed it had a ticking sound. The dealer said it’s likely a pulley. I oil them real good an it was still there. I contacted Powertrain. They picked the motor up an again blame the dealer. I was told my motor was gone be cored out an rebuilt. I told them no I purchased that motor an it’s mine. I told them I would contact the dealer to find out what they needed me to do. It took the dealer a few days to get in touch with them. They was already rebuilding my motor. They decided they would just keep my motor. They didn’t honor my warranty but kept the motor too. Everything they have told me is a lie. I got over $15000 in that motor an what they owe me now. I want all my money paid back so I can be done with them.

Desired outcome: I want the money I have already put in it. $15000

Powertrain Products I purchased a motor and transmission from this company on January 25

I purchased a motor and transmission from this company on January 25. I also purchased the 7 year promise pure care warranty for both products. After installation, the transmission presented a hard shift. As per my warranty, I took it to a certified mechanic transmission shop for a diagnostic on November 1. The mechanic stated that the valve body was cracked, essentially making the transmission useless. The mechanic has been in contact with PowerTrain, and has run multiple tests which the truck has passed with flying colors. PowerTrain refuses to honor their warranty after the certified mechanic has told them the problem and run all of their requested tests. Now PowerTrain is requesting the mechanic fix fuel trims before proceeding, but he has stated several times that he will not fix the fuel trims because nothing is wrong with them. I just want my warranty honored as it is very clear to everyone but PowerTrain that the transmission they sent is a dud.

I bought an engine from powertrain products. Paid over 6 grand in Sept. The shop received the engine in December. Installed the engine. They told they were concerned about noise. I drove the truck for a day and informed powertrain of the issue. Was told to drive it and should get better. After another day it was worse called again and sent video of noise. Kept driving truck for a few more days waiting for response. Finally got response was told not to drive. Took to the shop they did diagnostics powertrain asked. Was told need to send new engine out. ( Keep in mind this is having less than 2 weeks) Told shop on the phone the would 110 an hour plus 2 hour diagnostic. Now are telling me only will cover 75 dollars an hour per warranty. Which would be understandable if I ever had a good product! Do Not use these A-holes> and Ashely will them is the rudest person I have ever dealt with!

Powertrain Products I purchased a remanufactured motor from this company in March and sent them my core

I purchased a remanufactured motor from this company in March and sent them my core. I have since put in the motor with a technician with over 45 years experience and the motor install was verified correct by a certified Ford technician at the dealer later. The motor was running rough and when I contacted them I was sent to take it to a Ford certified technician to diagnose the issue. Upon diagnosis they stated and I have a copy of the technician notes where he denoted the internal components are the source of the problem. I then sent this to the company and they then wanted me to continue to spend money in diagnostics when they stated they will not reimburse this money when if the product they sent was properly built it would not have required those services. I have put $3600 in the motor $850 in diagnostics and yet the company is unwilling to replace or repair my motor unless I spend more money to diagnose the motor when these costs should be paid by the provider of the product.

Powertrain Products December last year I purchased a transmission for my 99 f250

December last year I purchased a transmission for my 99 f250. A few thousand miles on the first transmission before I lost reverse. After going through their warranty steps I finally got another transmission, several hundred miles in and the transmission cracked causing damage to the flywheel and transmission lines. Went through the warranty steps once again and they sent another transmission but I had to pay for the labor install. Third transmission did not make it 120 miles and the torque converter came apart. At this point, I realized that this wasn't a warranty issue but yet a lemon issue. I took the transmission to a transmission shop near by, he stated to me that the parts in the transmission weren't torqued correctly, several bolts were even stripped. I've called powertrain but the representatives are none the less useless in helping with the matter. I'm behind frustrated knowing that I've been ripped off. I ask that they refund the money or pay for the transmission shop.

I purchased a motor from Powertrain Products in 2019. My first motor blew a head gasket at around 7500 miles. I contacted the company since I also purchased the 5-year extended warranty on top of the motor. The company failed to do anything until Complaintsboard.com contacted them. The company ended up sending a new motor and I had it installed. The new motor has 2000 miles on it (miles attached) and lost compression in all 6 cylinders on my way to work on Friday. I emailed and spoke over the phone with multiple people in the customer service department and the result was that I needed to tear apart the motor and find the issue and they would send me replacement parts (I attached the emails). I do not want to tear apart and diagnose a motor that I paid for an extended warranty on. They want me to check the timing chain which would be a building defect, which is apparently covered under the warranty I purchased. I would like them to send me a new motor.

On August 10th my transmission, which hadn't lasted 6 months was replaced again. It was sent back and received and the issuance of a check for 649.08 was to be issued(the cost of repair). I have been in contact weekly since with no check. I have made calls, sent repeated emails with no check but lots of promises that it's being handled. It is now past 60 days later and still no check. I have a warranty that I paid for with the first transmission. Where is it?

The date of the transaction was on August 6 of 2021. I payed them $4213.31 for a 68RFE transmission for my 2007 Dodge Ram 2500 purchased their pure care no-fault warranty. I was asked if there any aftermarket parts to my transmission system. And there was not in the transmission remain stuck programming the engine is also stock programming. And when I had an issue with the transmission and it only lasted 400 miles they told me my warranty is void and there is nothing they can do.

Powertrain Products Faulty engine they provided me with caused vehicle to overheat and now they won't respond or return item even with warranty

Faulty engine they provided me with caused vehicle to overheat and now they won't respond or return item even with warranty. A complete and utter joke what this company has put us through over the last 7 weeks. That's right SEVEN weeks. We had a new engine replaced early February on a 2008 F-350 and spent close to $16,000 on it with a no fault warranty. On 4/15 barely two months later the head gasket failed and it was determined by the mechanic that it was the fault of the engine head. At first we were told they don't cover engines that over heat without knowing any facts as to why it over heated. Finally the mechanic convinced powertrain it was the engine head and they agreed to analyze it themselves. So here we are 6 weeks later with no answer from them or returned calls. This truck is crucial to my everyday business... every phone call is someone different and still no answer. Unreal that they can keep us waiting for 2 months on my vehicle after I spent $16,000 and am clearly not at fault. They have left me no choice but to sue at this point. I wouldn't recommend power train to my worst enemy.

Approximately May 5th -ordered a replacement 4.7 Magnum V8 engine for my 2003 Ram truck. I was asked for the VIN and the number of plugs on the vehicle's ECU to ensure the correct replacement engine was selected. I was told the amount to pay, I paid it in full and everything was set up. The engine arrived and it's an EGR engine, mine was a NON-EGR equipped engine, they said "it didn't matter, install it anyway." At a little over 300 miles, the engine began a hard metallic "rattling/knocking" in the valvetrain for several minutes on EVERY start up and it goes away after several minutes. The engine has an oiling or drainback problem. I reported the issues and it's getting worse but they won't agree to pay to swap the engine until they inspect it for a problem. Nothing is broken YET, It's just "excessive and abnormal noise that WILL cause failure in the future" (per Dodge Dealership techs.) They won't agree in advance to pay to swap out the knocking motor.

Powertrain Products Around the end of Nov 2017 my engine went in my f250

Around the end of Nov 2017 my engine went in my f250. I searched online and came across powertrain products inc.I ordered a remaned engine from them. All was fine until July. It wouldn't run correctly. So i took it to *** and he diagnosed it. And then contacted me and I let him know that the motor was still under warranty. Then he contacted powertrain products inc. They okayed him to fix the problem. He paid for them out of his pocket. Then the motor was diagnosed with another problem. Power train sent parts this time to fix problem. Parts were installed and on test drive the new parts broke. So powertrain products inc requested for the mechanic to send very first broken part back so they can inspect it and it has now been 3 weeks and the only answer we can get is the parts haven't been inspected yet. This has been an on going problem with Powertrain products Inc since July and 6 months later my truck is still not fixed and and im sure that the bill from the garage just for having the truck on his lot for this long will be an astronomical bill. Im tired of getting the run around.

Powertrain Products I made a purchase of a drive axle assembly

I made a purchase of a drive axle assembly. The parts did not fit and I they had fedex pick up the shipment but I still haven't received my refund. The purchase was to replace the drive axle assembly for my 95 Chevy impala. The company sent it in two separate shipments so when my mechanic received it the pieces did not fit. I spoke to several reps explaining the circumstances but no one had a real solution. So I found another company that could restore my current one, but my mechanic was going to have to charge me for putting on the part as well as taking it off. That cost was $400.00. Then I requested a refund so I called and spoke to Sara and she arranged for fedex to pick up the package but they couldn't pick it up because they didn't have a label. I called the company back and explained and they arranged another pick up this time they had a label. This process took several days and last week they finally picked it up. My wife called on Friday the 6th requesting the refund because the part should have been received or at least in route. The person she spoke with Jill said that she couldn't locate the part and would need a tracking number but I find the hard to believe when are the ones that scheduled the pick up. My wife tried contacting the general manager Ronnie but only gets his voicemail and he doesn't return calls.

Powertrain Products I've order a reman engine from Powertrain products

I've order a reman engine from Powertrain products. Bought the extended no fault warranty. Ever since the engine was bought August , the motor has been consuming oil. I figured because it was because of a new motor. Months passed by and still consuming. Called to open a case but then have trouble finding a mechanic that speaks English and willing to deal with warranty. The third time I called I finally found a mechanic willing to deal with warranty. He states the valve guide seals is the issue. Warranty says it was the pvc system. So we replace the entire pvc system, but it is still consuming. They are still saying it's the pvc system and for us to add a catch can. But the entire pvc system is new oem parts. Ive already spend $1300 on pvc parts. Not including labor. Powertrain products will not listen to the mechanic. And I feel as if they keep giving us the run around. The mechanic believes the engine is the issue and the warranty should be honored. Mechanic says catch can is only a bandage but it will still consume oil. Here is my documentation of oil changes Engine 3/26 193922 Oil 1/24 206521 Oil 5/09 208700 Oil 11/24 211140 Oil [protected] Oil 4/15 7 qt 213563 Top off- 1 qt 4/24 214091 Top off- 1/2 qt 5/2 214406 Top off- 1 qt 5/4 214910 Top off- 2.5 qt 5/17 215505 Top off- 1.5 qt 6/12 216212 Top off- 2 qt 6/28 217225 Top off- 1.5 qt 7/15 217728

Powertrain Products powertrain required me to make repairs to their product before replacement would be sent and then wouldn't pay me back in full for those charges

powertrain required me to make repairs to their product before replacement would be sent and then wouldn't pay me back in full for those charges. i brought transmission from prowertrain that had 5 year warranty. i had immediate problems after installation with transmission shudder. rather than sending out new transmission they wanted me to replace parts(which they supplied at n/c) on old unit. i ask for replacement but they said take truck to any garage and they would cover charges to have parts replaced. it's not my responsibility to pay to have repairs made on their products. my responsibility on warranty was the pay for *** on transmission and they will pay $60.00 per hour for labor. my mechanic isn't a transmission specialist so i took truck to *** salem va to have parts replaced. they charged me $261.60 to make repairs. my bill for *** was $506.00 which they reimbursed me $450.00 which is correct. but the bill where i was required by powertrain to do and pay was $261.00 and they only paid $105.00. like i said they wanted to replace parts, not me. they(Lester) told me and my mechanic they would cover all charges to garage of my choice to have parts replaced. like i said IT'S NOT MY RESPONSIBILITY to make repairs on product that has warranty. i'm sure if i had made repairs on my own they i would have been responsible and they would have told me that voided my warranty.i just want my other $156.60 that they owe me. this has been going on since February, just want my money and we can move on.

Powertrain Products I purchased an engine from Powertrain Products on 11/12, INVOICE# ***, ORDER# ****, REG# ***, The engine was purchased with 5 year

I purchased an engine from Powertrain Products on 11/12, INVOICE# ***, ORDER# ***, REG# ***, The engine was purchased with 5 year Promise Warranty. The engine was driven approximately 13,000 miles and began to have engine noise and power issues. I brought the truck in for repairs to original installer of the engine. The mechanic explained that there was engine knocking and needed to be replaced. The warranty process than began. Powertrain had mechanic shop perform multiple tests to diagnose and came to conclusion that engine was warrantable. The mechanic shop receieved replacement engine and then asked Powertrain to send payment for diagnostics. Powertrain warranty department employee was Lester, he handled the warranty claim and advised the mechanic shop they would reimburse them for the diagnostic work. When payment was not recieved the mechanic shop put a hold on work to my truck until payment was recieved. When payment was not recieved, the mechanic stopped all work and sent replacement engine back and refused service to my truck for failure to pay from Powertrain. I received my truck back and began calling Powertrain for them to send me the replacement engine so that I could have my mobile mechanic remove and replace. I have been refused a replacement engine and have been told I now have to send existing engine in for a replacement to be resent to me. This is unacceptable and different from original warranty claim that had begun. I would like the replacement engine sent out and I will then send back the core. Please assist in this matter. Thank You.

Powertrain Products On 9/23 I purchased a new remanufactured unconditional warranty GM engine 5.7 from Powertrain products (invoice # ***) at a sum of $2468

On 9/23 I purchased a new remanufactured unconditional warranty GM engine 5.7 from Powertrain products (invoice # ***) at a sum of $2468.52. In less than a year in August the engine started to malfunction. Contact was made with Dan from Powertrain Products warranty dept. on 08/12, he requested the vehicle be taken to a mechanic. Vehicle delivered to a GM dealership in Saline MI. on 08/17 for diagnosis: Dealer concluded it was possibly a head gasket or cracked head due to the coolant in cylinders 3 and 5. This information was relayed to Dan in warranty dept. for possible repair, Dan requested additional diagnostic testing on the engine at my expense, I ordered the testing in hopes of having my engine repaired and vehicle back in service quickly. Results, failed compression test and had coolant leaking into cylinders 3 and 5 causing misfires. Contacted warranty dept. Dan, with results on 8/30, engine not repairable and new engine to be delivered appox. 8/31 to the dealership. I questioned the cost, Dan stated " we reimburse the labor costs up to 18 hours, new fluids and the extra diagnostics preformed". Vehicle repaired and released on 9/23 for a total of $2215.66 charged to my visa. Spoke with Dan again, " forward bill to us so we can send it over to accounting and get you paid, approx. 20 days for processing". Complete dealer detailed service invoice sent over to the Dan at the Powertrain warranty dept on 9/24. Hearing nothing from Powertrain Products, I called Dan on 11/04 in the warranty dept., He stated I was not being reimbursed, "it had some crust on a gasket" ? WHAT ?, " well you almost got a year use and almost 2000 miles out of it, and its a free engine". That"s not a warranty, that"s fraud.

Powertrain Products I have puchaised an engine from Powertrain Products

I have puchaised an engine from Powertrain Products. I got the quote from them i paid the amount they asked i paid for the no fault warranty. It was supposed to take 6 weeks to get. It took over 3 months. I was told that there is a shortage of parts with Covid 19. I thought ok i get it no problem. I finaly got the engine got installed started right up ran really smoth. It sat there idleing for about 45 min. My mechanic got in it to bring it to me and about 5 min it satrted making noises. Upon further inspection there were 2 valve rods that bent. One in cylinder #3 and one in cylinder #8 deeming the engine faulty. After i send back the faulty heads i was told that the failure was caused by exccesive exhaust heat blaiming my mechanic. Everyone knows that there is nothing you can do to make the exhaust heat up just from installing all the accsesories on the engine. I talked to Powertrain and they said to file a warranty claim. I did and at this point i'm still fighting to get paid for what i paid for the repair and parts. I just got a check that is $195 short on just the labor itself. They are refusing to pay for the parts because they don't like the cost or they want a receipt or they don't like this receipt. Shoud have sent the parts with new heads than. They are looking at this like in the perfect world my book said this and that is what i'm going to pay you. Regardless of what it cost me. here is a time frame to show how long it takes. Oh and Ashley at Powertrain is the rudest person i had delt with and she keeps up with the talking point from Powertrain. They don't understand that nobody owes them parts at cost. I ordered the engine on August 31st Received engine in December On December 10th i filed the warranty calim for the repair on the engine that failed. It is March 15th 2022 and i'm still fighting to get my money back from the work i have paid for. I like to get the money that i have paid for the repair back. The engine was faulty

Powertrain Products I purchased a transmission for my 2000 Chevy Silverado that less than 500 miles the front seal of the transmission started leaking

I purchased a transmission for my 2000 Chevy Silverado that less than 500 miles the front seal of the transmission started leaking. I contacted Powertrain and displayed photos of the transmission fluid leaks. I believe that was December 20 20 I received another transmission from Powertrain That I had installed by my mechanic and paid the labor cost out of my pocket $632. I was told by Powertrain warranty department that would be refunded back to me upon receipt of the tracking number of a core transmission So I received the bill of lading for *** to pick this transmission up. The core transmission was secure in the box provided and a bill lading in the envelope on the box waiting for pick up I got a call on 7 January that the transmission was picked up by FedEx! Why FedEx pick this up is beyond me according to the driver he had a door tag to pick up the transmission The driver didn't even look at the bill of lading on the box nor did he leave a tracking number with the repair facility I had to track him down to get a tracking number from him which he provided FedEx tracking number *** which was provided to Powertrain products Inc. along with the receipt for $632 the labor cost for the warranty transmission install when I contacted Fed X I was told somebody from Powertrain told Fed X to pick this up at ***, Fed X just doesn't pick up a package because it's there. Now Powertrain products Inc. is telling me that it's my problem that Fed X picked up his transmission and it stuck outside of Atlanta Georgia this transmission was picked up on January 7 I still have yet to get my reimbursement check for $632 and Powertrain is saying that they still don't have his transmission It seems to me that this is between Powertrain and Fed X I had no control of Fed X picking this up Powertrain will not reimburse me the $632 the labor cost for the install on a warranty transmission Fed X #*** provided by the FedX dri

Powertrain Products Complaint regarding non communication and response in fulfilling reimbursement of warranty claim that PT made me pay up front for their bad

Complaint regarding non communication and response in fulfilling reimbursement of warranty claim that PT made me pay up front for their bad engine. 1. Purchased a replacement 2009 Chevy Truck engine in 12. Within less than 20,000 miles I was on the side of the road with my hood rocking like everything was going to fall out. This is of course after a certified Gmc mechanic installed, broke in, and maintained the engine. 2. I contacted PT.net and they started a diagnostic check with my mechanic which resulted in the engine lifters and rocker arms being damaged. They approved a replacement engine. 3. I did not hear anything for 4 weeks during the Thanksgiving holiday and surrounding time at which I wasn't sent the tracking promised and blame was shifted back and forth from PT.net and my mechanic on when the new engine arrived. This is troubling, but not the cause for review. 4. The new engine was installed again and PT.Net was contacted for payment at which time I was told I would have to send invoice and the mechanic shop would hold my truck until payment was received. I went over labor rates, work orders, notes, and sent in invoice to he paid 30 days ago. I also requested core to be picked up and did not receive a reply for a week at which time on 12/15 they stated the old core would be picked up and the invoice was being processed. 5. I have called and waited on hold for 45, 45, and 60 minutes and was encouraged to email and got no response since that time. I got through on the phone one time and was told the shipping order had been in and not been fulfilled although they advertised quick shipping. I suppose this is only when you are paying them and they don't owe you something back. 6. They owe me over $2,700.00 and This is the starting place to give information to others. Products are only as good if they last and warranties aren't anything if the company doesn't fulfill them. Especially when this is a core part of their branding. 7. At this point, unless you are local and have physically seen their facilities, I advise you to use a company that has positive warranty procedures.

Powertrain Products Every portion of business with this company has gone completely wrong

Every portion of business with this company has gone completely wrong... Unfortunately when submitting these issues you are asked to select one item from the drop down list to show what type of issue you are having with the company. The problem for me is that I could select several items from the list (customer service, sales, product quality, warranty, etc.) and yet I am limited to one. I purchased a motor from PowerTrain Products for the 2009 Ford F150, 5.4L 3V. From the beginning we had issues with this company because I was told it would be delivered on a Monday and when it wasn't I checked the tracking information that they sent. Well, after several calls it was determined that they sent me the wrong tracking information and it was eventually delivered that Friday. My mechanic installed the motor as expected at the shop rates that are standard across my area of $125 per hour. Within minimal miles, during the test driving, the newly replaced motor started having issues and missing. It was taken back tot he shop and determined that there was zero compression on Cylinder 8. We contacted PowerTrain and their warranty department refused to allow a compression test to suffice that there was an internal failure of the motor and I had to pay another $125 worth of labor to complete a leak down test out of my pocket, an a motor that they just sent me. Since this is a 3V motor they technicians had to remove the valve cover to complete that test and it was obvious that a valve spring was snapped on cylinder 8 and we sent pictures to PowerTrain. I begged them to not send a replacement motor becuase I would have to pay for the labor again (21.5 hours worth at $125 per hour) which I had already paid the first time. However that is exactly what they did, another replacement motor was sent. Since PowerTrain only includes $75 an hour for warranty reimbursement on labor that means that I am responsible for the remaining $50 an hour to cover the actual cost, which again is multiplied across the 21.5 hours. So because I was sent a faulty product, directly from PowerTrain (just installed and test drove the motor before failure) I am out of pocket over a thousand dollars after they reimburse their portion (which they still have not done). I have been dealing with this for months now, I was charged for a core charge even though I notified them the core was ready for pickup. They still to this very day have NOT picked up the core (months later) and have not refunded my core charge of like 5-6 hundred dollars. I have requested to speak with the GM on multiple occasions and only once was I given the number by Ashley to call and leave a message. I have left 7 messages to be exact, and not a single message has ever been returned by the manager. In Ashley's words, "they do not talk to customers, that is what they pay me for..." There is only two people that work in the warranty department, Lester and Ashley and I have spoken to both of them several times throughout this debacle no less than 20 times combined, and I have the phone records to prove it. Speaking of records, PowerTrain apparently has not expectation of logging contacts with customers on warranty issues, becuase every time I call in I am starting over and Ashley says something like "I have no records of that..." and it is VERY frustratiung to tell the same story over and over and over. Recap - 1) Original motor purchase was delivered late with wrong tracking information 2) The motor that I purchased from them was faulty on delivery, bad valve spring 3) I am out another 1K because they sent a bad motor to me to begin with 4) I was charged for my core even though it was ready to pickup within their time frame and I notified them as expected. Months later they STILL have not picked it up and I still have not received my core charge back. 5) They received the return warranty replacement on September 11th, and confirmed faulty hardware on September 14th. Today is October 23rd and Ashley confirmed today on a call that they still have not mailed out a check...
