A Disappointing Experience with NueGo Bus Service

On June 29, 2024, I, Santhosh, booked a ticket on the NueGo bus service from Perambalur to Chennai. Here’s a detailed account of my unfortunate experience with their service.
Booking Details:
• Ticket Booked Time: 6:46 PM
• Scheduled Boarding Time: 7:30 PM
• Personal Arrival at Boarding Point: 7:16 PM
• Message Received: Bus delayed by 16 minutes
Boarding Point Issue:
• Promised Location: Perambalur Bypass, Near Samy Air Travels
• Actual Stopping Location: Tata Motors Kaveri Garage (550 meters ahead)

Despite arriving at the designated boarding point well in advance, I realized that the bus had not stopped at the promised location. Instead, it had moved 550 meters ahead to Tata Motors Kaveri Garage. I tracked the bus and saw it picking up passengers from different points on the Perambalur bypass overbridge.

Communication Breakdown:

I made several attempts to contact the bus driver, but he was on another call and did not respond for ten minutes. When he finally answered, he claimed to be unaware of my boarding message, citing that he was new and refusing to acknowledge the mistake. He then instructed me to reach Tholuthur Toll Plaza, which was 22 kilometers ahead.

Additional Expenses:
To catch the bus at Tholuthur Toll Plaza, I had to incur an additional auto fare of Rs. 500, which was higher than the bus ticket price of Rs. 435.

Service Complaint:
1. Lack of Confirmation: NueGo did not call to confirm my boarding.
2. Incorrect Boarding Location: The exact boarding point was not accurately communicated.

Despite raising a complaint with NueGo, they accepted their mistake but did not correct the boarding point information. Both NueGo and Redbus, through which I booked the ticket, have denied refunding my money.

My journey with NueGo was frustrating and costly due to their negligence and lack of proper communication.
