Regency Furniture Distributing bed footboard, bed dresser damaged

3048768 call the store and they ask for me to foward pictures to REGENCY furniture.Regency serves .biz . This is the second attempt to for this information I would like for this matter to be clear up as soon as possible being as though I am paying on this 2nd payment will be January this is not good business you have emailed me and called about my complaint and asked to submit more information I have given you the ticket number set pictures and emailed you 2 times I would think that its more then enough information that is required. The furniture was delivered only a week ago the delivered person broke down before getting here, that is all that I can give .you as far as information.

Regency Furniture Distributing leather sofa

I purchased a sofa and a love seat from your largo store, my sofa have a split in the arm look like dry rote. I have five years warranty, when i call the store they said i have ti take a picture of the damange part and email it, so i tryed severel times no scuess, i recived an email stating regency furniture havr recived my email. That was all i heard from them.

Regency Furniture Distributing queen bedframe

Purchased this bedroom set in June 2015 bedframe cracked in August 2015 filed a claim with GBS Enterprise the warranty company that they were currently using. Claim was denied b/c the crack could not be repaired. I notified Regency to see what was cover under the factory warranty. Of course the crack was not covered. How can you sell defected furniture that does not hold up for at least 6 months after purchase? Don't shop at Regency in Brandywine Maryland the furniture is no good and the customer service is horrible.

Regency Furniture Distributing will not repair items

My first time at Regency Furniture, I purchase a leather reclining sofa and love seat, the following year I purchased 2 bedroom sets, and each time I was convinced to buy a 5 year warranty for any damages caused to the leather sofa and love seat and bedroom sets. Two years after purchasing the furniture the supposed to be leather PLEATHER started to peel. I called Regency Furniture for someone to fix it and use my insurance, they told me I did not purhcase real leather and the warranty do not cover faux leather. I told them first, I was told by the sales person that I was purchasing insurance to cover the furniture. I understand this was not real leather when we purchased it but he said that the insurance would cover it. Why sell insurance for furniture that insurancce company do not plan to cover the items in question.
I would have not purchased insuarance for fake leather. There were not recommendations given on how to repair the items and no person was sent out. I was told it was my problem. They did the same thing for a bedroom set I purchase, the wood on the headboard ripped apart from the slate as I was moving the bed into a different angle in my kids room. It was an accident I think maybe in the way that we were turning it. But it looks like supporting bed frame broke apart from the head. I called about that, they told me it was wear and tear, the bed can only be covered if a dog urinated on it or keys ripped it. I only had the bedroom set for since 2013. I did not realize that the manufacture warranty had expired because the sale man claims that it will cover it for 5 years no matter what. Why offer insurance and the insurance claims department are ready to turn you down the moment you open you mouth. Warning! This store sells you insurance that they know they don't plan to honor.

Regency Furniture Distributing false advertisement

My first time at Regency Furniture, I purchase a bedroom set, a pull out sofa, and a leather reclining sofa and love seat 3 years ago and was convinced to buy a 5 year warranty for any damages caused to the leather sofa and loveseat. I called about that, they told me it was wear and tear, the do not cover wear and tear. I only had the bedroom set for about 6 months at the time. I ended up supergluing the frame to the footboard. I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THAT CHEAP CRAP REGENCY FURNITURE MAKE! THEY ARE A RIP OFF!

Regency Furniture Distributing deception

I once worked for Regency, and I am here to vouch for every negative comment posted! After working there for several months, I could no longer take the verbal, and mental abuse that Fela and Ahmad along with the "mattress mgr" Darryl! The three of them will tell a customer ANYTHING to close a deal and insist that the sales person's do the same. The way they think is, once they're got your money, it's a done deal. All I can say is really read the back of the contract and if you don't agree with something in the verbage, PLEASE walk away and don't sign, it won't be worth it in the long run! Also, please note that I am not a disgrunted ex-worker, I am really happy to have worked there, and now I really know the truth for myself. If you like them, then by all means, continue your relationship with this company, if not, move on!

Regency Furniture Distributing shady delivery practices

Ordered furniture from their Langley Park, MD store back in Nov. 2011 & utilized their [layaway] to make my payments. Delivery/Shipping was included in the final price & I was directed to call in a week prior to my final payment to discuss delivery. Received a call the week of 1/15/12, to tell me that my furniture was in the warehouse and that if I wanted to, I could have my furniture delivered. When I shared that I would be paying by check, I was informed that I would have to wait 10 days for it to clear & that if I was able to come in to make a payment or call-in w/ my credit card, that could speed up the process.

I called the store on 02/01/12, (after seeing that the check had already been processed/cleared), & spoke with Victor, (after speaking w/ someone else who at first told me that my furniture could be delivered in two days and then telling me, no I had to wait), who directed me to call in the AM & speak with "Mr. Dana" to see about expediting my delivery, (as I had paid with a 'Bank' draft and not a personal check). On 2/2/12, spoke with "Dana", who informed me that he could not schedule delivery before the 11th, (and wasn't sure why Victor told me otherwise). He assured me that someone would call me on the 10th to give me a 4-hour delivery timeframe.

By the time I realized that no one had called me, it was after the business had already closed on 02/10/11, so I called this morning (02/11/12), at 9:00am and was told my furniture was not in the store/warehouse and so, there would be no way that I was told that my furniture would be delivered today. When I challenged the young lady, (who later told me that she was the Supervisor on call as Dana wasn't in), and told her that Dana himself had scheduled my furniture delivery, she continued to tell me that she wasn't sure why I would've been told that as there was no furniture in the warehouse/store.

When I shared that I had seen that they have a history of issues when it comes to delivery, (and other issues), and I am willing to file a lawsuit if I have to, the young lady told me to feel free, I'm still not getting my furniture today.

I'm serious about attempting to file a lawsuit, as it seems that they have no regard for their potential customers. They currently have an "F" rating with the BBB, as they fail to respond to and/or resolve complaints brought to their attention.

Complaint Miss-Leading Furniture Price / Bootleg CD / Movies

Mr. Hammand (32 yrs. Old ) running Ad with missleading price with a very bad nasty attitude no training or what so ever when it comes customer service; also his main sale person selling bootleg cd and movies; while selling furniture; receipt price do not match on ad selling price; customer service very bad and the Regency Furniture Store Manager; do not know how to speak with customer; very irate. Reminder to all customer before buying make sure do not signed if your not sure if the furniture you bought is the same product number check yourself as there are no returned.

Beware---it's a cash and carry business. They accept personal checks but it takes two weeks for them to clear it. I was approached by salesman offering bootleg CDs when i walked in the door. Save yourself the frustration and go to reputable store like Haverty's. The quality is much better and customer service is great.

Regency Furniture Distributing poor customer service

I purchased furniture on 3/12/2011 and it was THE worst experience I have
ever had! I wish I would have went to Room Store, not only did my furniture
go to the wrong house, they NEVER confirmed my delivery time, I had to call
myself for that, they called the wrong phone #, were at the wrong house, AND
on top of all that when they opened the box they SLICED THE COUCH! THE
LEGS AREN'T EVEN AND THE STORE MANAGER-Ahmad Ayyad gave me a piss poor
attitude, SAID HE WAS GOING TO HAVE CUSTOMER SERVICE CALL ME ON 4/25/11 AT MY
JOB-DEFENSE INTELLIGENCE AGENCY, THEY NEVER CALLED, I HAD TO CALL THE STORE
AND HE REFUSED TO COME TO THE PHONE! I WORK M-SAT AND NOW THEY CAN'T EVEN
GUARANTEE ME A DELIVERY TIME FOR SATURDAY 4/30/11 BECAUSE THEY DON'T CALL YOU
AND/OR LEAVE A MESSAGE! THIS IS THE WORST STORE TO PURCHASE FURNITURE,
THEY SAID THE OWNER WAS OUT OF THE COUNTRY, YET I JUST SPOKE TO HIM LAST

The latest piece of furniture we were buying was a king storage bed and a chest. The initial transaction for the storage bed was on May 5th. Since then I have been told by this store that the mentioned storage bed was scheduled to be in on these dates: (June 5th, 15th, 30th, July 6th, 8th, and finally sometime in August). On June 5th, I was actually told that my storage bed was in the warehouse, and on every other occasion I had to come in to find out why my piece had not arrived. I stated to the younger manager that my fiancé and I were sleeping on a mattress on the floor, and with her having a new baby, the need was urgent, but the younger manager at this location was very condescending and acted like my business was not really important. After receiving numerous calls stating that my furniture would be in the next shipment, I asked if I could trade for another king storage bed. The younger manager agreed, so a salesperson and myself found another set I liked and I made a deal with the younger manager to exchange the original king storage bed for the one I selected for another $99.00, and it would be delivered for free. This was Saturday, July 9th, 2011 when we both agreed to this purchase exchange. On Monday July 11th, 2011, I came in to finish the deal, but now the younger manager stated that he made no such deal and had not talked to me at all about this; even after the sales rep stated that he had. I felt that my time, and the sales reps time, had been wasted for months and no satisfaction was offered by the younger manager, so I requested my money back for the king storage bed. The younger manager offered no apology, nor did he honor any of his agreements to me.

When I complained to the company headquarters, the only person I ever heard from was the Largo’s stores the Administrative Assistant- who gave me the same deal offered by the same manager, who gave me that same original deal and backed out, in the first place. I politely turned that deal down because my time and gas had been wasted numerous times going back and forth to that store. I received no other responses to my complaints. This experience, to me and my fiancé, has deterred me from purchasing anymore furniture from any of their stores, and will cause me to not recommend their furniture stores, to any of my family, friends, and associates again. I will NEVER shop at any of these stores again.

If you shop at Regency Furniture "BUYER BEWARE" Any customer service ends as soon as they have your money in their hand. I will not go into detail regarding our horrible experience of receiving damaged furniture that they refused to replace. I threaten to sue them and that is how i got my money back after a battle of may be 3 hours or so. I will never ever go to any of their stores ever again.

I work for the US Government alsoa and completely 100 percent whole-heartedly agree with everything said in this comment. This company in Maryland is a complete rip off. Customer service is a BIG JOKE. They delivered a recliner to me that had been dropped and was broken in several places. It leans to the left. After almost a year of trying/beggin to get the recliner replaced they informed me that it was not a factory default and they would not be replacing my recliner. The tech they had finallysent out after a hundred attempts, confirmed the recliner had to have be dropped to have the damage it had done to it. But they said they would not be replacing my recliner. I spent close to $10, 000 in this store to be treated like this. Never again will I ever spend one cent in this store cause once you're out the door they don't care anymore. They also need to hire quailifed experienced personnel that are experienced in delivering your furniture instead of the Mexican immigrants that deliver the merchandise that don't speak aword of English.

Regency Furniture Distributing poor customer service/non-disclosure/

DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS ESTABLISHMENT. Their customer service ends at the time you purchase and leave the building. My wife and I experienced a litney of issues: (1) false advertising- free stereo with purhase- none available for an entire year after purchase; (2) insurance sold and no disclosure that they will charge you an additional amount above the insurable amount of $100.00 for delivery- the customer must pay all amounts above $100.00 (This is a "standard delivery fee" whether or not it is a pillow or an entire bedroom ensemble- RIDICULOUS); (3) Terrible customer service: (a) receptionist is unhelpful and rude; (b) no notification when your product(s) arrive- you have to call and have it researched; and (c) no manager on duty most of the time to deal with issues the bored and rude staff cannot be bothered with. Customer service STARTS at the purchase... but in the case of Regency--Expect it to end there.

Regency so far has the lowest prices in the surrounding areas, they beat Marlos, way better quality then Value City and better service then Room Store. I was quite satisfied with the exceptional service. Would shop there again.

When I purchased something everything was handled to my satisfaction; price was good, service was good, and it was on time. Received a follow up call when everything was ready to be delivered and then the morning of to get my time frame. I didn't go in on a sale day though, although I did receive a discount and from what the sales person told me the warranty is a third party and has nothing to do with them, correct me if I am wrong. But overall I was very happy with my purchase and Regency.

Regency Furniture Distributing mattress have bed bugs

Wow wow wow let me introduce myself my name is george roach i bought a mattress set at regency furniture the funny thing is that i have been living at the same address for at least 6 years and i never had any problems in my place before until i bought that goddam matttress from regency now i have bed bugs in my home look i got the set for me an my wife now my sofas have bed bugs my kids room has bed bugs so now my entire house has bed bugs i have calling all kinds of extermanator to take care of the problem and the ### is extermly hard to get rid of them i had to get rid of all my furniture, cloth, even of all my electronics, and the carpet in the entire house so just imagen how much money i lost over a dam mattress that was worth only $600. 00 thats not right at all and no one would do anything for me and my family icall the store they couldn't do anything called customer service the only thing they told me is who told you to buy a rebuilt mattress set now that ### drove me nutts sohen i got home i ripped the mattress open and that ### was true all it was is a new cover over the old one and that ### was very nasty i never saw any ### so nasty as that mattress so if anyone buys a mattress set freom regency furniture i really feel for you b / c i spent lots and lots of money to fix the problem and to let you know those dam bed bug go in every thing you have they can distroy you home like they did mine just imagine how big is there warehouse and all the furniture might have those bed bugs in them so all i can tell you is to be carefull when you buy from there thank you: george roach

I purchased a sofa and love seat set wot $ 1900.00 and they assured me of an insurance coverage for any cuts or damage happens to the furniture for 5 years, unfortunately i discovered a cut from the stitching area under the arm rest. I contacted the regency furniture, the lady took the phone gave me some wrong telephone Numbers contact the insurance company, those insurance company does not have my file .another interesting part is that i have never received insurance documents till today explaining what i am covered for, then i called again the other day and then she sais " Oh this insurance is provided by our shop itself, but i am telling you upfront that no claims will be accepted if it is not accidental " Tell me this who in the world will purposely cut or ruin your sofa unless it is something accidental ?. I send the pictures to her, she came back next day saying "It looks like not accidental it ie normal war and tear so insurance is not covered for ". I hate these lying people, to sell their product they say all kind of assurance, but once they have your money rest is a story. I suggest all the people who is reading this DO NOT BUY ANY THING FROM REGENCY FURNITURE, IF YOU BUY And THEY OFFER INSURANCE PLEASE CLARIFY THE COVERAGE YOU ARE PAYING FOR.
I have mentioned that lady from Regency furniture that I am going to put this up online ...she happily said okay... This is the response these people give you, then tell me how will they not loose the customers and get bankrupted.

You will regret doing any buisness with this company! You will be screwed. Terrible terrible terrible customer service! It is bad before they get your money, but once they have it, you might as well have never showed up! Super poor delivery experience, products are extra late, and delivered pieces are broken and regency thinks it is ok. Oh well, you get what you pay for. Want to maybe save money, then get screwed in the end. Go somewhere else before it is too late!

Did you have it delivered? Maybe a delivery person got bed bugs off of a mattress they took out and transferred them into your house. On their clothing is what I am thinking.

It's not impossible for a bed to be sold that has bed bugs. A new mattress that is.

Are you sure the bugs didn't come from your house? Because it sounds like once they were in they multiplied like crazy and led you to get everything fixed and cleaned. If that was the case the store would have been overwhelmed with bed bugs all the mattresses contaminated and furniture unsellable. Because I bought furniture from there I had no problems.

my name is david lipscomb i bought a living room set, dinningroom and a bedroom set okay i thought every thing was good to go but you don't know the kind of ### i put myself through it was very hurible right about now i don't care about my spelling b/c i'm very mad but that little man that they have as a manager at regency in alexandria is the biggest {SPICK} i have ever seen i order all that ### from them they asked me to pay for it in full and it will be in very fast i said ok how fast he said longest time would be 6 weeks and thats a long time it should be here sooner than 6 weeks so i trusted that little {TERROREST }with my money so after 6 weeks i called he said that the furiture was on its way i said you told me at the most 6weeks and on the reciept it says the same thing the little man is brave and said thats not my problem so just wait for b/c i have your money and if you try to cancell i will charge you 30% cancellation fee itold him to go ### his little migget self when he saw i was mad and i explaind to him that i read the store sales terms and rules he know i had him by the ballz b/c he know i could take him to court so he gave me my refund i went to the store down stairs thats next to there store and bought the same thing for half the price and had it in my home in less than two weeks and with free delivery and setup regency only on delivery they were charging me aleast $380 only for delivery SO I DO NOT RECOMEND ANYONE TO BUY FURNITURE FROM THERE AND IF YOU DO I WISH YOU THE BEST

Regency Furniture Distributing do not shop at regency furniture!!

WARNING! Do Not Shop at Regency Furniture. They are a complete rip-off. This store allows you to lay-away and hold furniture and will not allow you to cancel. They will not return your money nor will they return a check that you are using to hold furniture.
Oh, and let's not talk about the fake free delivery offer. They say on the commercial that they have free delivery, but when you go in, it's free curbside delivery. They drop your furniture on the curb and you have to figure out a way to get in the house.

Here's the SCAM! You go to buy furniture, they pretend like they have the furniture and when you get home, they call you to tell you that they don't have it or its broken an it will take weeks to arrive in the warehouse, when you decide to cancel, they will not cancel or they charge you a 10% cancellation fee. In my case, I wrote a check to hold until 2/16/10 and then I was to bring the full amount of my order into the store so that I could schedule delivery. When I arrived with the full payment, they were to give me my check back (the check was for $1585.00). Well, when I found out that they didn't have the furniture in stock, and they couldn't tell me when they would have it, I decided to cancel my order, they decided to deposit my check anyway. This was after I called them and told them that I was coming to pick up the check and to cancel the order. No one ever called me back from customer service, they pretended like they would cancel the order and deposited my check anyway.

Thank goodness I checked my account in time and I put a fraud stop on the check at my bank so they won't get my money but buyer BEWARE! These Arab guys are scam artist and they are relentless and will not give you your money back period! The bad part about it is that they use black sales people as operatives to run the scams on black people. I am so appalled and ashamed at my people. There are black sales people and black women running the financial part all knowing how Regency operates. My advise to you is not to go to Regency! If you do, remember I told you so!

Did you guys read everything before you purchased? I got everything on time and in a timely fashion. You have to understand not everything can be exact 100% the way you want it, that's not how the world works. I understand when something doesn't go your way you get upset, but in my case and what seems like a lot of peoples cases that I've spoken to they go the extra mile to make things work for their customers.

it's really true they told me that if i don't need the furniture or if i found abetter deal some were else they would beat the price and it's all bull [censor] they only gave me a store credit but ok becouse this is one of my many complaints and i will make it my job to keep the complaints going for those who want go to www.bbb.com for a bigger complaint i sent mine you need to check bbb the complaints on there are extremly bad about regency i wish good luck for everyone that shops there and have fun

DO not do not do not shop their you will never get your furniture it takes 6 weeks to get and that only half of it you have to be home from 8 am till 6pm they will come any time and if you miss it you have to wait a week agian and pay again their is no refund the furniutre was wrong when I got it they told me to keep it in the house for 3 weeks till a new one comes and dont sit on it or they will not take it back what was I going to sit on after all was done it was 2 month till I got my furniture

Regency Furniture Distributing customer service is horrible!

For those who have intentions in purchasing furniture - DO NO BUY FROM REGENCY FURNITURE STORE in Largo MD. The customer service is horrible. The only time they show concern is when someone goes into the store to purchase furniture and after the purchase the agony of waiting and rude service begins from the store itself to the corporate office. I have personally experience this and would have never bought anything from the store. I am currently waiting on furniture I have purchase over 5 weeks ago and I cannot get a definite answer to when my furniture will be delivered. I spoke with someone from the corporate office who just happens to be the customer service manager and her “DON’T GIVE A DAMM ATTITUDE” was something I could not comprehend – some customer service.
I am completely surprised that the company is still in business. They are unethical and we should all take our money else where. This is the first and last time for me.

To Regency Furniture I say SHAME ON YOU.

They delivered the wrong furniture over and over again to my residence.
Regency delivered the wrong mattress to me 4 different times. I mean FOUR different times. and I called the customer support/ service dept. the lady I spoke to was practically yelling at me as if I was the one at fault and as if I was inconveniencing her.

These people are bunch of stupid bombastic IDIOTS, I regret buying furniture from them... no apologies whatsoever.
Do not buy anything from them. they are rude and malicious.

I purchased furniture and when I finally picked it up got home within 1 hr and called them back that the furniture was damaged and they told me that since I picked it up I should have inspected it and there is nothing that they can do about it. I am going to call their corporate office.

Agree. Over 6 weeks and we still have not received our furniture. Sales person stated that it would only be 2 maybe 3 weeks TOP. We were only getting the in-stock item only because we didn't want this LONG wait but the sales person persuaded us to get the 'special order' item (combined the two sets for shipping). After all, it was only 2 weeks and we would have it ALL. House empty, no furniture, no proper response from Regency - They wouldn't even ship the 'in stock' item even after 6 weeks of waiting. I feel that I was ripped off and I will not shop at this store again. Customer service is by far the worst as well. F for this store.

I quite agree with this customer. Such poor service is unprofessional and persons working in customer service need to be properly trained. After all, its customers like us who keep these companies coffiers filled. Should no purchases be made ... REGENCY WOULD NOT MAKE A PENNY.

Regency Furniture Distributing cancellation policy is a rip off!

I visited the Regency Furniture Store in Largo on April 12,2007. I saw a bedroom set that caught my eye, so I put the set on layaway. The set was a 1,300 dollar set. The following day I went out and did some shopping and saw a set at another store that I purchased and I went back to Regency to cancel my layaway. I was informed that they would give me a refund minus a 10% charge.

I put $350 down on my layaway so they kept 142.00. I asked if they could give me a store credit for the 142.00 and they said no. I think that their cancellation policy is just a fancy way of them taking people's money. The manager that was on duty was no help and offered no solutions and was hardly listening to me. I will never shop regency again because of their unfair store policies. I could see if I had my layaway in for a while, but it had not even been 24hours and they charged me 142.00. It's not like the items had been ordered or anything so what is the 142.00 for?

man it's crazy how many people have complaints about regency after what happened to me i'm really happy that people are taken action against these scam's that regency are doning i wish they can send some to spy on them and shut them down and i found out that they own a few ashley home stores in the baltimore area so always do your research about anyone before you buy anything i will soon make a video and put it on youtube all about regency furniture then you will see how bad it will be b/c i got more to do for them i will make sure they close down watch me make it happen good luck everyone and do not i mean do not shop there or you will see what everyone is talking about

Someone help me out - I wish I would have done my homework before going to this store. I feel like I am about to get gipped. Can I just contact my bank and say my deposit is false and I will not even be recieving my merchandise? They sold a couch of ours and supposedly ordered a newo ne - but that does not make sense because when we were there - this couch was discontinued and they had no more - anywhere.

They have awful customer service and their policy is bogus. We have "two weeks" until the furniture shows up...I feel like it wont show up and if it does, itll be the wrong items.

DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING AT REGENCY FURNITURE IN YONKERS, NY 2350 CENTRAL PARK AVENUE. ALSO, DO NOT LET ANYONE IN THE STORE CON YOU INTO GETTING A GE BANK CREDIT CARD AT THE STORE. Not only their cancellation policy but thir custmer care service is not for caring the customer but themself only... Customer service will tell you taht Mr. LEE their GM will call you but he will never call... You have done the right thing not to go there. I am fighting for more then six moths for a sofa set I purchsed from them. It has bad workman ship/ defective
