Horrible, horrible service. This is not a professionally run company.

They told me weeks after they had cashed my check and a week after they told me my order would be sent that they didn't have my product. They delayed my opening and cost me $$$. Were they apologetic? Nope. They offered no compensation to the fact that they had screwed up my order and then continued to delay the shipment by their lack of communication within their company.

I was told the owner would call me. It's been a week and no call. They told me contradictory things like: one day they say I can get a refund and the next they say its going to be a problem AND my order will ship on Monday, then I'm told on Monday that its a Jewish holiday . Not only is this a horribly run business but this company is very shady. I think they operate under multiple websites like affordableseating.net. I could be wrong but there are so many similarities it's a little weird.

I will never use this company again and I will recommend other businesses stay away.

I saw your compliant and felt compelled to respond. I have done business with RestaurantFurniture.net multiple times for 4 different locations in FL. Shipping was fast, the staff was informative and the products are excellent. I did wait on the line for at least 5 minutes every time I called them but that happens also when I call AT&T...

I do not agree. I have dealt with many furniture companies. RestaurantFurniture.net is by far the best company I ever dealt with.

I am dealing with restarauntfurniture.net right now. It is HELL. Currently they are 2 months late on my order...about to cost me big big bucks. When I call they see its my number, they dont answer. No one there has answers and they actually yelled at me the other day. The CSR keeps saying how poorly the company is run. I have fully paid them. This company is a nightmare DO NOT FALL victem to this companys "Made in our factory" and other lies. All of thier stuff comes from China. These guys are the slimiest people I have ever done business with. I feel right now they do not even have a manufacturing facility and are 4 people working out of some beat up office in Chicago. They will not allow me to speak with a manager, and have lied at every turn. I ordered standard items from them that they said would originally take 4 weeks delivered to my door we are in serious.

I am petrified as to what the quality will be...I will keep this posted and if they make good, I will dually let you all know.

RestaurantFurniture.net have made my life a lot easier. I ordered my furniture originally from another vendor who never shipped anything - RestaurantFurniture.net delivered my goods within 5 days. I'm guessing the fact that I'm very close to Chicago helped, but nevertheless, it was very fast. The futniture is very nice and the Mahogany finish matches exactly with my decor.

i am dealing with them right now, i have delayed my opening by 2 weeks so far, i've been talking to them in the daily bases and was giving the wring tracking number through Saia.com i am thinking to to get me off there back ... it's the the 2nd week end that i am not opening and dont have to start talking about the $$ it' costing me and still not even sure if i will get anything from them, they are very very bad to deal with i am even looking for other furniture and will never ever ever ever use them or recommended them to anynody more than that i will mkae sure to tell everybody about how bad they are and also called my bank incase i have to dispute the charges.

Well like a few of you I was a little concerned when I had read complaints on this page but I have since received my order etc...They didnt have the booths in which I requested so they gave me a more expensive booth at the same cost.Which saved me $ since I did buy 7 of them.

I also had an issue in which I had shot them an e-mail and the owner was quick to respond:)

The funny thing about these boards(and I am as quilty as the rest) Is that we in the restaurant buiz seem to forget how many times people left with wrong orders.We also have no idea how many times in which people have left frustrated or dissapointed.That's the customer service business. We all make mistakes .Sometimes it falls on the help and other times it's our own fault. These folks have done right by me...

I don't know about RestaurantFurniture.net but under the original complaint above it says Company information: Selected Furniture LLC. Now these sorry &@$!@%&$ I do know about. I am an upholsterer and was contacted by a representative for Selected furniture to look at 170 dining chairs in need of repair in a local restaraunt. It was the worst upholstering job on new furniture I had seen in my 25 years of upholstering. none of the foam rubber was the same size and 90% of the foam was in 3 to 4 pieces not even glued together. The foam was laid on top of plywood that had a large crudely cut hole in the center, leaving very little wood at the edge to prevent bowing and strips of cut burlap (not burlap straps) were ran across the hole. These burlap strips were not even pulled tight so sitting in these chairs felt like sitting in a bucket. Then they neglected to put dust covers on the bottom of all 170 chairs, so when you walked in the restaraunt you could see on every chair bunches of strings dangling down from the fabric and fraid burlap strips. The fabric pattern on at least 20 of these chairs was running sideways. Also the metal frames had chips and scratches in the baked on finish and they had forgot to put the plastic stoppers glides on the bottoms of many of the metal legs. Now as an upholsterer who does a lot of repair work for many furniture companies and manufacturers I normally do not talk about some of the bad work I see and I repair it anyway and the company pays me and everyone is happy. But these lowlife chumps are not only sorry manufacturers or wholesalers but they are crooks. I received 50% of the amount I charged them upfront as I always do with out-of-town clients (this was after I agreed to do it for about 20% less than my original bid). But, when I completed the job they stopped taking my calls and stopped responding to faxes, emails, and letters and never paid me the remaining 50% owed. Now you may say I'm just disgruntled. Well I am disgruntled, but nothing I have stated here is untrue. My 10 year old neice could have done a better job building seats for these chairs than what they tried to pawn off on that restaraunt owner. It's extremely hard to believe the positive reviews above unless the furniture they got came from a different factory or someone other than Selected Furniture LLC after the work I saw. You could not have given me those chairs to place in a restaraunt nor would I had accepted them off the truck.

please stay away from selected furniture. i just have to tell it the way it is my order five weeks late and to top it off wrong. tryed to call tom seilf many times he never called back. i think he is one of the owners not sure on that one. i was so mad i went to there so called factory in chicago what a joke. it is a wearhouse at 5000 west roosevelt road in chicago illinois. very bad very much a mess . and the people there are true rats. sorry but i will never tell anyone to go there. agree or not there just big trouble.

I believe another group that sells under their name is affordableseating.net. Same thing happened to us. Chairs ordered in January for a May delivery were 3 weeks late. We had to rent chairs for the opening and I have it in writing that they will reimburse me for the rental. Nothing to date. 6 months later. I went by the factory and although they have a TON of inventory, I don't have a good feeling about the company. Afraid to do any more work with them even though 7 of 8 jobs have gone 'ok'.

Selected Furniture may be the worst company in Chicago. We ordered chairs and stools for our restaurant in March 2011 for our opening in June. There website www.affordableseating.net looked great and made many assurances and had low pricing. Well it just goes to show you, you get what you pay for. After giving them a deposit, we tried to call in May to check on our order. The calls were never answered and messages were not not returned. When we went there, the factory was a dump. There was crap everywhere. No manager or anyone with an explanation was available. We were told someone would contact us. Needless to say, we never received our chairs or stools from them and are still fighting to get our deposit back. They are ###, they took our deposit and never delivered the goods. We are taking legal action against them. The good part is that we bought our chairs and stools from a reputable company in Addison, IL, Regal Seating Company. We did have to go through a furniture representative and pay a little more, but Regal delivered our product on time for our opening and the quality was EXCELLENT. They were great to work with. Stay away from Selected Furniture. BAD BAD BAD.

WARNING! Stay away from Restaurantfurniture.net, they are dishonest. I ordered chairs and after waiting 2 months they finally arrived. When we opened the boxes they were the wrong chairs! I called customer service and was told there was nothing that could be done. I said I would get a lawyer to handle this, and was told this is a free country do whatever you want. STAY AWAY!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

Horrible customer service (I was yelled at, interrupted and insulted several times). I received half of my order 6 days late even though I have a promised receive date of 4 days before Mothers day (cost me around $10, 000 since I was not able to open on Mother's day). Once I received the furniture, all the tables were chipped or scratched and they tried to cover it up with magic marker, my chairs shipped without seats, 3 table bases were defective and 2 table bases were shorter then the rest. It has now been 1 month since I originally placed my order and I am still waiting for my seats, they still have not shipped them.

I got my stuff in 4 days - don't understand what the fuss is. My salesman, Sharon, practically saved me $500 because she helped me select the correct bases for the tables :)

Run Do not order. They cashed my check in a timely manner. That was all they hurried to do. I ordered over $10, 000 dollars in chairs tables and booths. Multiple chairs arrived damaged. My booths had cuts in them. I have been calling and writing them for 6 months. They will do absolutely nothing. They did offer to sell me a min of 28 yds of fabric for my booths. I only needed 2 yds and even offered to buy it. They wanted $580 dollars. Customer service rep is named Donovan. He is absolutely worthless. Also, I failed to mention my order was placed in Dec 2011. I received my damaged products in March 2012.

From our dealings in ordering 85 chairs from this company, I would have to say that anything that is good written on here is one of their customer service reps pretending to be a customer. They have no problem with lying. They are the worst business we have ever dealt with. The final straw came when (after giving up all hope of even getting the chairs, they finally came) there was rust and chip marks on 25 of the 85. I contacted the company and was told to provide pictures and they would send a kit to repair. We have a painter on staff so we thought this would work. THEY SENT US 3 BLACK MARKERS... They go by both the names listed above so if you don't want the headache DO NOT ORDER FROM EITHER PLACE.

I wish I had researched this company before I ordered from them. I've had much the same experience as others. I was required to order a minimum of 25 chairs to get them custom made to counter height. This basically means they cut the legs off bar height chairs. They told me the lead time was 4 weeks. After 4 weeks I called to see where my chairs were. Nobody knew where my chairs were. After several calls someone finally told me they were sent a different style than what I ordered. They asked me to sign and fax back a new copy of the invoice (with the original date and invoice number on it) with the style of chair they had received, not the ones I ordered. They promised to email me the"new" invoice within half an hour. It took several calls to get the invoice actually emailed to me. Seemed a weird way to do business, but I wanted the chairs, so I did. Now, 9 days later, I called to ask about my chairs. I waited on hold in "#2 in que" for 10 minutes. First I was told there was no one in customer service (oh, how, true!) and someone would call me back within 2 hours. Surprise! No call. This time 13 minutes on hold to be told that the "service" rep would have to email the warehouse to check on them and then email me the update by the end of the day. I'm getting a bad feeling about this. I'm calling my cc company to check the charges, hoping they didn't charge me a second time, and to start the process of disputing the charge if I don't get an answer- and my chairs- soon. BUYER BEWARE!

Lots of complaints on here and add one more. I've had to borrow tables and chairs from people I know just to open. They're going on 3 weeks past when they told me it would be delivered. I used them last
year with one of my other restaurants and was told they were moving their warehouse and the product
would be shipped soon. It came a month later, I was pissed but thought when ordering this time, we'll they are in their new ware house and they should be more organized now. Terrible customer service they have a laundry list of complaints with the better business bureau and there is no doubt in my mind that the few good comments on here are employees or owners trying to save the business. I think we all need to get together and do something to stop these jokesters from screwing people over!

Thanks for saving us from making what could have been the worst choice ever! We're a small restaurant just starting out... loosing money to upgrade the old worn out furniture in the building we took over could have really caused us a setback that we can't afford. So glad we researched before plunging right into a nightmare. To all you business owners that got ripped off from this company, we wish you the best and hope you're able to get your money back from these jerks.

I'm dealing with them now as well. Waiting on 28 chairs was told there would be a 10 days lead time and week to ship. Its been over a month now since they took my money and five phone calls later I'm still waiting for them to be shipped. They just keep pushing the date and all this after I initially told them I had a horrible experience with another company affordableseating.net and wouldn't be quiet about it if they jerked me around. Apparently they want to be reported to the bbb. My experience so far has been horrible to say the least. When I asked the last rep on the phone what I could do to help things along she told me to pray!

I am currently dealing with this company and wished I had read this forum first! While I may have saved a few bucks on the prices, the customer service is HORRIBLE! I have been waiting 9 weeks for a credit for an item that was not delivered and for a credit for $500 for rush shipping that did not happen! I can't get a straight answer out of anyone. And I really think the call center is in India because I have a difficult time understanding the "service" reps.

I should have done more research before ordering from this company. I ordered 5 tables, bases and 25 chairs. When my order arrived the tables and bases were missing. After 3 days of calling they informed me the tables were damaged at the warehouse. When asked why they did not call me to inform me that the entire order could not be fulfilled they said they don't communicate with the warehouse and didn't know this until I informed them. I asked for the chairs to be picked up and returned at their expense for the mishap and was told that I did not specify that I did not want the chairs if the tables did not ship. I guess it is my fault for not thinking ahead that I would not get my order as placed. I should have known something was up being the order did not get to my business until 6 weeks after I ordered it. No effort was made to help me. I was told I could pay for shipping and the restocking fee if I did not want the chairs. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY. IT IS A SCAM. I WAS REDIRECTED ON CALLS AND ASKED MY NAME AND ORDER NUMBER BEFORE THEY WOULD "TRY" TO PUT ME IN TOUCH WITH THE PERSON WHO TOOK MY ORDER NEVER TO BE ABLE TO SPEAK WITH THEM. I feel stupid for not doing research before ordering just to try and save a few dollars. Which after shopping around for a new table, to go with my chairs that I look at in disgust now, I found that they are not any cheaper. If this post helps just one person decide not to order from this company it was worth the time to write it. -Rob Renfroe

Dealing with them right now! I had a large order but decided to only order 2 booths which is 3 pieces first to see if I was happy with them before giving the rest of the order! I was told 4 weeks and it is going on 9 weeks now. Each time I call I'm told its being shipped and I'll get an email with tracking info! This has happened five times still no tracking number! I have asked to talk to the manager and I'm told the General Manager is Alberto, but he's always in a meeting and too busy! I hope there product is worth the wait and terrible service! I don't know what I would do if I was waiting on them to open a new restaurant! Also there only an hour away! I could go and pick it up!

Dealing with these folks now- bought 8 chairs, 8 bar stools for a non profit Cafe- using donor money. Picked these because it was the only company that had the wooden set that everyone agreed on. Only after, did I find this site. The chairs were delivered without being scheduled - though I asked for an appointment to be there for unloading. Out of 8 chairs, 3 were broken- from the underside- took a closer look! One barstool back leg shattered when we turned it upright. Called customer service, took photos and sent asap. We were told to set the chairs aside, and "Claims" would contact us. Due to a low confidence level in their service, I called later in the day, spoke with "Lee" who said that they would get back to me 24-48 hrs with a "determination". I called at 48 hrs, was told by Customer service that they had until the cob to get back to me. Today, is Wed, after a 3 day weekend, and have not heard a peep. Called- told that the "claims" person is out, and a supervisor is not available, and they would get back to me tomorrow. Am filing a complaint with VISA after this review. Placed an order online-no problems. Received an email that payment was declined when they ran my card and the instruction I was sent said "Please give us a call to resolve this." I did not call, believing the order was cancelled. Turns out that once you give your card they will continue to run it until it goes through (weeks later) but they do not expressly tell you that. I did make contact with them and spoke with Zach who is poorly placed in the customer service department as that is not his skill set. From my conversation they have no intention of working with me but I do have the name of Alberto and will give him an opportunity to make things right, in my view.

Worst restaurant furniture company to deal with buyers beware held up restaurant opening for two weeks! If you want your restaurant furniture delivered on time and the company that will take care of its customers please look elsewhere. I'm sure there are a lot of good experiences with this company but if there is a problem they do not take care of it. We are forced to order from a different company. Restaurantfurniture.net told us that the furniture was on the way would be here May 2 never responded back as to any changes when I called May 5 they told me that they do not have her furniture in stock and it would be 4 to 6 weeks for our order to come through. Then told us we could purchase different furniture for more money and that was our only option. Wish I would've read this review I had of time.

Same thing happened to me! I've spent bout $7000 with this company. This was back in November of 2016. Received the shipment...but one piece was wrong...the dimensions of the corner booth was wrong. I had called them, and spoke with a bunch of customer service reps., Nick, Zach, Maria, Gabriella, Dave, and Cliff. to have the piece returned and replaced. Finally, they had a company pick it up. It's now May 5, 2017, still waiting on the replacement! One rep would say, "it will ship today, and we will email you with a tracking number". Never happened. It's so frustrating, because it's a piece that needs to be fitted with the rest of the booths...same color, measurements. I am at their mercy right now...and it has been 7 months! I am wondering if I should just take the company to court... I AM ANGRY AND FRUSTRATED AT THE SAME TIME! I should have done my research first before ordering from this company! Frauds work here. I am surprised that in spite of getting so bad reviews how they are still in business. Then I came to a conclusion that these guys prey on the new customers who have no idea about these fraudsters. Stay away as far as possible. they might come up with another name.

I am pleased with the quality of the tabletops I purchased. The quality is excellent, and they appear to be quite durable. Customer service was helpful in determining which tabletops would be appropriate for my burger establishment.

Excellent advise from knowledgeable salespeople and high-quality restaurant furniture. The purchasing process was quite simple; I finished everything on my phone! The delivery was really fast, and someone called me to set up a time and date that worked for me.

Excellent service! We appreciate Eric's assistance in selecting the appropriate colors and textiles. The delivery time took a bit longer than we expected.

Very happy with our purchase. The quality is much better than what we expected and also the design is sweet. The chairs were packaged really well to avoid scratches and damage. The delivery was a week late though…

Their website is one of the most valuable business resources we have now. From chairs to tables they were and will be our “one-stop-shop” for all restaurant furniture. I recommend that when you call them that you ask for Stan, because he will go out of his way to help you get what you need.
