Makro Makro's bad service

Almost 2 weeks ago we purchased a watercooler online. On our end the payment went through, on Makro's end, not. We phoned them and the said they have not received any funds, whilst we have proof of the payment and send it to them as well.

Friday we phoned again about our situation and they said our case (**********) has been esculated.

Today (8th of April 2024) we phoned again, only to be told that we are still on the list of cases escalated. So for nearly 2 weeks, you cannot answer or help a customer. If we don't phone about the situation, there's no communication whatsoever from your side? Pathetic! Really.

Resolve the matter (within in this week) or refund the R2499.

Makro Order late/No response from customer service

I placed and paid for items at Makro on 17 Feb. Delivery as advertised by them should have been in 2-5 days. After 7 days of no receipt of goods, I lodged a query through their customer service. After 2 days of no response from customer service, I lodged another query. A day later I received a "response" from customer service that (didn't tell when i'll receive my goods but) told me that they will escalate my complaint. So its now the 29 Feb, still no goods, still no response from customer service. I ordered goods on Temu in China. It came across the sea, cleared customs and was received earlier. I don't expect any response from them, so i'm probably going to wait a few days and take the complaint to the consumer council. I'm only making this so people are aware to be careful when buying from them

Recommendation: Dont buy online from Makro, you wont get your delivery on time and they don't respond to complaints

Makro Order not received/refund not received

I did a big order on the 13th of December and received everything accepted the Bestway swimmingpool. On the 20th someone phoned me and told me that the swimming pool will be delivered before Christmas but that did not happen. On the 29th of December I tried to cancel the swimming pool but I never received a refund or communication that it actually was canceled. So I started enquiring about it again

Makro Poor service delivery

The was a special of pan cooking oil on makro online then I purchased them on the day of collection they told me the order is canceled because there was an error they made a mistake on the price this is really so annoying and they do this all the time misleading us with wrong prices and cancel order I deice there with my petrol and they didn't even refund me immediately they told me about 2 to 5 days this is not so on. Makro Gentech hybrid-inverter

Purchased product 6 JAN 2023 ,not working as it should ,took it back 18 FEB 2023 they advised I will have to wait 21 working days they will send it to Gentech to check it out ,they don't refund or exchange.

Today 3 APRIL is the 3rd time I went back there with no luck ,they refuse to give my money back and I still don't have my inverter. 31 Working days today

This is the worse customer service I have ever received.

I have complain on MAKRO complaint website ,never received any e-mail or phone call

Desired outcome: I want my money back ,I don't have any confidence in their product,MAKRO should not keep any GENTECH products on their shelves.

Makro Order not received

Order number mak3779788 from makro was delivered incomplete so I returned it with the courier guy, I called makro online and spoke to 2 different agencies who told me matter would be resolved and someone would contact me however no one has contacted me and my order is still havent been received, now their lines are not working, im angry and annoyed.

Makro No pricing on products

Last week I visited Makro in Germiston to purchase cooking oil. Not one of the products on the shelves were marked with pricing. I had to run up and down to the service desk to enquire about each of the prices. When I complained I was told that they did not price their cooking oil as "the price changes every day".

I told them that in that case they should change the price labels every day.

Today I went to purchase cooking oil again and found that they still did not have any pricing for all the cooking oils on the shelves.

I complained once again and was told the same story. When I told a person by the name of Sergio that it is illegal to not price goods on display he merely shrugged his shoulders and did not even bother to respond.

I therefore conclude that Makro Germiston is a badly run store in that the management don't care and the staff are too lazy to bother changing price labels. Furthermore they don't care that their customers are inconvenienced by having to run up and down to the service counter to find out prices. Shame on you Makro, why do you bother to exist at all?

Makro Bosch 13 dishwasher extra silent

Bought this product 16/12/2021 at Makro Gape Gate with an exstra extended warranty where the technicians of Bosch will come out to my house should something go wrong.

3weeks ago I Contacted Makro to inform them that the pipes are leaking where the little compressor is. They told me Bosch will be in contact with me. This is the 3rd week in a row where they have not contact me back. I have to keep make contact from my side to ask what is going on. I keep getting messages to say that the ticket is logged and a day later it us canceled. I went to Makro personally on the 23/04/2022 to hand in a copy of my invoice, my adres and all my contact details. The Rep of Bosch Contacted me 25/04/2022 to tell me that they will sort it out this week. Today a technician called me they want to come out but the address is completely wrong. WTF! I will take this Bosch13 Dishwasher back to Makro Cape Gate on 30/04/2022 back for a full refund. This is pathetic services. Not happy at all!

Desired outcome: I DON'T GET ANY SERVICE. THIS IS GOING ON FOR 4 WEEKS NOW!!!!! Come to my house and sort out the problem. Swop the unit as it is just over 4 months old or come and fix it already!!!

Makro Firdge

I purchased a fridge online on 25 November 2021. It was delivered on 27 November 2021. I only opened the fridge on the 29th as I needed to get the old fridge out first. On the 29th when I opened it, it had dents on the ceiling inside the fridge. I logged a return on the same day (29/11). I have emailed and called customer services numerous times and the fridge has still not been collected. I am now without a fridge for 8 days and have given up hope.

I was also told the fridge needs to be assessed before they can decide if it can be fixed or replaced. all of this happened on day 2. the policy clearly states within 7 days it should be replaced.

Customer services keeps saying they have escalated the matter but nothing comes from it. I have wasted, time energy y, food and airtime on this nonsense.

Desired outcome: Replace the fridge

Makro Delivering of order

I have placed an order with Makro online on June the 30th 2021. They gave me a delivery date of the 2nd of July 2021, which is the normal waiting period for their orders to be delivered. The payment for this delivery has already gone through and when I checked on my delivery status just now it showed that the order hasn't even started.

Your Call center Agents gives different information all the time, I have reduced my credit limit before fact based on History of my account.
Now cz you refused for me to decrease I asked for a settlement amount, I went to pay it o8 July 2021, I called to close my Account, You refuse cz now I have a credit owed to me, what nonsense is this, I am busy with credit regulator He said I need proof I have spoken to and you are still doing nothing, I have such services... Close my account NOW! but My credit in a Voucher Simple, Close it I drove to come pay, based on the amount you gave me. AaaaGGG Maaaan

Makro Poor service / management

And the time I waited to buy 2 thermometers, The salesperson had turned down three other sales due to not having a key for the cabinet the good were stored in.

I and three other people have now taken our business elsewhere.

Poor management in that there was no spare key, and I am an employee was allowed to leave the premises with the key.

Makro Claims department

I submitted a claim form for debt relief due to covid 19 on 28 May 2020. Since then I received numerous threats regarding my account. I phoned claims department several times. Every time I was told they still need forms which I immediately resubmit to their email address.

Makro Printer cartridge / files order mak2563204

I placed an order with makro online and paid for the products on 29 may 2020 todate I have still not received my purchase. I have phoned them emailed them ask for a refund put it on makro sa social media fbook page and still no response. It has cost me a fortune in phone calls and on outsourcing my printing. As soon as I ask for a refund they promise to deliver to my home but its just false promises! Please I want an immediate refund so I can purchase these products elsewhere. I work from home and my income is dependant on me working no work no income. Makro has messed with my income for over a month with false promises and keeping my money.

Makro ryobi 43 cc petrol brush cutter 2-stroke

Please note that I am a very irate client that has no words to describe how disappointed I am with the after sales treatment I received from Makro in Strubensvalley my frustration started on the 3012020 after returning a faulty Petrol Brush Cutter that only worked for one day and once we tried using it the second time the machine was not switching on, the faulty equipment was returned back within the 14 days that the policy states in black and white that we can receive a refund or do an exchange however the consultants seem to be applying a different policy to the one that has been written in black and white, moving on the machine has been booked since the 30th and we have paid for something we don't even have or cannot use but the money has been paid and to worsen the situation I still have to wait for the assessor and Makro to decide the outcome.In the meantime I'm being inconvenienced even more my disappoint is that I have been nothing but a good supporting Makro customer for the longest time and the one time I have problem with a faulty machine I'm being treated like a criminal trying to rob the store my request is for my money to be refunded so that I can purchase a proper working petrol brush cutter and get my problem resolved without leaving a further bad taste in my mouth .

Makro online delivery

I ordered a toy for my son on the 4th of January, they delivered the wrong item on the following Friday 10th january. I called to let them know and was told they would send the courier to collect and exchange. The courier came on Friday 17th but only to collect, no exchange. I called every day at least once since then, as on my online account it says the purchase and delivery has been completed. Twice I was told the correct item would be delivered the following day. It is now the 30th of January and nothing has been delivered. I called yesterday and was told they are awaiting feedback from the store director, so twice I was lied to about delivery. I am currently on hold again as this is what they do when they can't answer. They just put me on hold for hours until I give up. They wont give me a contact number of a supervisor or anyone that I can escalate this to.

Makro contact details never get answered

I have tried 4 times today alone (in fact I am hanging on curremtly and have been for 27min36sec)

It is not always easy or viable to go into the store. I would like to discuss an oven that I purchased. Other items I would like copies of the receipts mailed to me for accounting purposes as I have misplaced my copy.

Impossible to get hold on anyone.

Someone was suppose to call me to comer and sort out an oven I bought from Makro a couple of months ago. To date, no call not mail no nothing. I have had no oven for more than a month.

I have tried numerous times to call. I just hold and listen to how import the call is to Makro>>>>>>

How? I cxant talk to anyone.

Makro terrible service

Good day.

Purchased a vacuum cleaner and gazebo with Makro online with the Black Friday week special Makro was running.
That was on the 29th Nov. 2019
I have yet to receive the item. Though online it shows it has been delivered. This is really unbelievable. These people play with your money and time. Everytime I call theres excuses. And I'm the one spending my airtime money calling to hear these excuses.

I have no reason to believe that I will receive any response from this email, since my experience so far has been that Makro is content with taking money from online buyers, not delivering PURCHASED goods, and then washing their hands of follow-up customer service.

Makro samsung double door fridge /freezer

We purchased a samsung fridge /freezer and taken an extended warranty. I reported my fridge faulty-water coming ouit of the fridge on 16.07.2019. A technician was sent and he reset the the temperature and left. The problem occured again in october/november and now in december 2019. A technician was sent and one time i was told to switch off the frige for a day and they replaced some part, however the cpoblem still persists. I have been calling and leaving numerous messages for the manager nemmy who nhever returned one phone call. The fridge is currently not working properly and it is christmas.

Makro non delivery of product.

On the 3rd December I ordered and paid for a Defy washing machine via the Makro Online order system. Order # MAK2296622.

Under special instructions I gave a deliver date - 9th of October and the contact/delivery details of where the machine was to be delivered. Surely this was enough time to organise delivery.

I have tried on numerous occasions to get through to Makro via their call center. No one answer the phone. I have subsequently sent two emails to Makro and no response or even acknowledgement of my email. Makro is now sitting with my money and I have no item that I paid R4089.

If I had gone into the store I would have had delivery the following day, but as I was not able to do that my tenant asked for a specific date to be able to receive the item.

This is disgraceful service.
