Store Environment and Shopping Experience
3/30/2021:
Went into RiteAid in Clearlake CA. This is a small rural town in Northern California and until this date shopping at this store was a pleasant experience.
On this particular day, I went in to purchase a birthday card for a cancer survivor loved one. For the first time ever, the store had BLARING DANCE CLUB (hip hop?) MUSIC overhead, so incredibly irritating, unwelcome and distracting that I simply could not hear myself think or concentrate on my purchase for the card and several other medical items needed. As a result I headed for the door to leave this surprisingly awful experience when I stopped at the front counter to get the name of the manager to report this first time experience . At the counter I was greeted by a young woman who, in response to my request for the name of the manager and store phone number, didn't cooperate initially, instead asking me "for what?" as to my request. At that moment, another employee, a stocky, young Caucasian male named "David" who is ALWAYS rude but whom I have before complained of, looked over from where he was assisting another customer and stated the manager's name was "Mario, but I'm not giving you his cell phone number!" Well, I never ASKED for the cell phone number and so stated— he should have minded his own business as I wasn't talking to him. The young woman then provided the store phone number after I told her I'd get it online if necessary.
When I called for the manager within minutes of leaving the store (the incident was just after 5 pm), I finally reached the pharmacy and a woman with what sounded like an Australian accent told me Mario was gone for the day but to call back the following day and the pharmacy would connect me with him. Well, I called on 4/1 and only reached a live person there after THREE attempts, and when I asked for Mario the woman (a different person) put me on hold and NEVER came back on the line. Accordingly, I have never been able to speak with this phantom manager.
I have shopped at RiteAid for years. If RiteAid now condones blaring hip hop, dance club music in its stores while a customer is attempting to have a pleasant shopping experience, then I will NEVER shop there again. There are other stores where I don't have to listen to such intrusive GARBAGE while trying to shop.
Desired outcome: MAKE THE PEOPLE RESPONSIBLE FOR BLARING DANCE CLUB MUSIC THAT RUINS A SHOPPING EXPERIENCE CEASE IMMEDIATELY
Not having the item on sale when it should be.
I have a rite aid coupon for the Colgate toothpaste buy for $3.50 get $3.00 off the coupon it will expire today
3-27-21. I went to rite aid at 218-35 Hempstead Ave Queens NY 11429 around 3pm today, they did not had it on sale, i ask the store worker he went and check the price, he came back and told me it is not on sale. I check the shelves and they did not had any sign of it being on sale. This is not the first time I am having this issue with rite aid they would remove the sale price before the sale is finish.
Rude assistant manager at Corina
I've been every day regular customer for over 23 years in store number #05518. At 601 Pine Ave, Long Beach, CA, 90802.
As a business owner and real estate owner on Pine Avenue LB.CA., I'm always enjoyed Rite Aid, my favorite store ever! I even subscribed all my doctors prescription to Pine Ride Aid location only!
Always great stuff and friendly cashier clerks, always willing to help you))) every one in this Ride Aid is so super friendly! Lots of positive energy, lots of smiles from every one who work there:))
However after 23 years of being regular customer and gold member. This is the firs time I experience unfriendly and very rude treat from assistant manager?! name Corina... Not the only... she is very rude, and not professional at all..., acting so getto... only the best words I can describe her...Seems to me this assistant manager Corina, been picking on me, every time I'm shopping at rite aid, ... Every time she's behind registered she always asking me some weird inappropriate questions, please check the cameras, when she is not behind register, she was just walking behind my back while I was shopping...she is provoking and harassing customers, please check cameras on Thursday, March 18, 23:36. (Listen what she were saying to me when I was paying for my purchase's)
I am definitely going to avoid this Rite Aid because I don't feel friendly and safe at your store while she still working there...
I will bring this issue to my legal team just to make sure this kind of treatment won't happen to any one else, at this Rite Aid #05518, assistant manager Corina .
Me and the whole business Pine Avenue owners are very shocked to see such poor and unfriendly management at our favorite Rite Aid.

Horrible experience with a racist store manager, racial profiling or clear bias?
Unfortunately, entering Store 4819, has been a very unpleasant situation attempting to get my Amazon Boxes picked up. For those that are unaware, Rite Aid is a pick up stop for Amazon under their store locker program. It's a HUB for picking up your packages in lieu of having your packages delivered to your home. Ideally, this program allows a consumer to...

This store treated me like a piece of garbage. I paid for my daughter's prescription 2 weeks ago, but they did not have all 5 vials of insulin, so they gave me 2 bottles and told me to come back to pick the rest up. I attempted to pick it up today, but the pharmacist tried to charge me my copay all over again, even though I had already paid it 2 weeks ago...

I called my prescription in on Friday so I would not have to wait when I get there. On Monday (3 days) later I went to pick up my medication and was told that it was not processed yet. This has happened to me on several pick up of my medication. What is the point of calling in your prescription ahead of time if you still have to wait a half an hour? This store has very poor service to the community 4188 Broadway New York, NY 10033

Rite aid switched the company they refilled my prescription from that I have been getting for years without telling me. I got an allergic reaction. Medication
Rite Aid is knowingly accepting subpar medication. I have a legitimate prescription for Hydrocodone. Every time I have gone to Rite Aid to have my prescription filled, it is never the same company's product. You are now dispensing this medication from the Camden company. After I had a fairly unpleasant reaction to the medication, I began to research the company. The internet showed an aerial view on this archaic factory where the medication was being made. Several other people have had problems with the medicine as well. The report on Camden was, they were once the company that was responsible for making the demon drug Oxycontin, went bankrupt (They should have went straight to prison), and now they are up and running again in this rotted building in the jungles of the Philippines (I believe), and with all of that, Rite Aid is more than happy to dispense an unclean pill. I could feel it burning my stomach with one pill, I ended up at my doctor's thinking I had a severe, can not stand up straight, painful, UTI. My urine test showed that something was very wrong, but it can back as undiagnosable and negative for a UTI. I stopped taking your medication, and lo and behold, the entire problem went away. I can not believe that Rite Aid does not care enough to dispense non toxic medication. Keep it up and I will be one of the many that will be in on the lawsuit against your company. That was a very scary encounter, and even worse after I researched Camden. SHAME ON YOU. And by the way, as of 9/24/2020, your stores are still pawning them off on unsuspecting people. Are you getting a large kick back for selling these mystery medications?

I am 83 years old and have RBS (Restless Body Syndrome) after 20 plus years if brain scans and every medicine around the only two that worked were Bensodiaphines or Methadone. The side effects of the first were not sustainable to live a normal life. So have been on Methadone and I can function normally, and sleep without my whole body feeling electrocuted.
Rite Aid is getting bad Methadone. Within 4 days I was back to hiddeous leg and arm jerks and horrid feeling like ants all over my body. I had a few of my last RX left and took them and within hours was no longer withdrawing and sleeping again within a few nights.
The pill will not eve dissolve in water there is a paper cardboard like middle that stays in perfect shape of the pill and never disolves. You cannot taste any medication at all in these pills.
I cannot imagine what someone in chronic pain must be going through. And at my age getting off of this medication would likely end up very badly even though I do not take it for pain. Another factor is I am treated like a drug addict when they have no idea what I take if or. Went to the ER for a injury and refused anything for pain, and the Methadone did not help at all. Probably as I do not take it for pain and it goes directly to help my RBS.
This should never EVER be allowed to happen. And how do I prove it? Bad stuff going on and now I wonder if my heart medications and others I take are also lacking what I need? Anyone know of how I can blow them in or get someone to check these pills for their alleged properties? Thank You
Treatment of employee at York, PA, store who was attacked for asking a customer to wear a mask
I am writing about Rite Aid firing a dedicated employee who was physically attacked after politely asking an angry, defiant, and likely mentally unstable customer to wear a mask in the store during the Covid pandemic.
Our country is in the middle of a pandemic, and there are angry and mentally unstable people who react to the simplest requests for respect toward others with violence. This apparently happened in Rite Aid's York, PA, store recently, directed toward an employee, Elena Santiago. She was physically attacked, works and lives in a somewhat dangerous area and so carries pepper spray and a knife to protect herself, and uses it after trying repeatedly to reason with the attacker to simply put a mask on or leave the store. As a sign of how divided and unhinged our country has become, at least one person has been killed for enforcing a mask requirement.
Rite Aid Corporate responded that they fired her because it was not her job to enforce the mask requirement. How absurd! Masks are required by the state of PA and she works in a pharmacy where many older or ill people are picking up prescription meds. They are more susceptible to catching the virus and this angry man refused to wear one. She is a hero for standing up to this man in an attempt to protect everyone.
Her response was NOT AN OVERREACTION! She was protecting herself against an angry and mentally unstable person who attacked her.
I am horrified at Rite Aid's response in firing her. Whether the company realizes it or not, they are supporting the fringe element, like her attacker, instead of supporting caring, concerned citizens. Their actions are reprehensible. They are despicable. They are emboldening the covid-deniers and other groups such as militias that resent government interference, even when it is so limited as to require wearing a damn mask.
Shame on you, Rite Aid. I'm going to post my comment everywhere I can online and will not ever spend a cent in your store unless and until you reinstate Ms. Santiago.
