Review:
The dsl connection is terrible. It's super slow and hardly ever works. I've been waiting for years to get high speed internet in my area, but unfortunately, RiverStreet Networks is the only option available.
They dont care about there customers
They dont care about there customers. The whole set up is a joke, they just take your money and dont care if you are actually able to use the service you pay for. By word of mouth I will spread the word telling people not to use them.
We had this service for a few months
We had this service for a few months. It's way better than the satellite service we had. The plan is cheaper, and it mostly runs smoothly. When there's a problem, I wish they'd let us know by text or email. Other than that, I like the service.
RiverStreet Networks is like, seriously, one of the worst businesses I've ever had to deal with
RiverStreet Networks is like, seriously, one of the worst businesses I've ever had to deal with. I mean, I've sent them emails and messages, but they haven't even bothered to respond. And don't even get me started on their customer service hotline. I've been on hold for, like, forever whenever I try to call them. It's so frustrating!
Oh, and let's not forget about their online bill payment system. It's a total nightmare, especially if you just want to make a one-time payment. It's like they don't want your money or something. Ugh!
Honestly, I can't wait to switch to a different internet provider. RiverStreet Networks is just not worth the hassle.
wen i pay for a service, i expect it to be provided without any interruptions
wen i pay for a service, i expect it to be provided without any interruptions. but that was not the case with River Street Networks. i had no internet for 5 whole days, from September 24 to September 28. that's just not acceptable. so i called them and asked for a credit. the customer rep said she would talk to her supervisor and call me back. but she never did. i tried calling her but she didn't answer. this is not what i call good customer service. they should have apologized for taking so long to fix the problem and offered me a credit. instead, they lied and ignored my request. not happy at all.
The field communcations staff is great but the secretaries are really strict and inflexible
The field communcations staff is great but the secretaries are really strict and inflexible. My mom has been in a nursing home for over a year and 'cause the phone wasn't being used, I tried, tried, tried to disconnect it for over 6 months. They wouldn't talk to me 'cause the phone wasn't in my name even though I was the Legal Guardian. I had all the paperwork, then they asked for a copy of my driving license. That was crazy and after identity theft, I said no. They refused to talk to me and I asked 5 times on many occasions to talk to a boss, I wasn't allowed. They said calls would be answered the next day by both secretaries and bosses but that never happened. Finally, after 6 months of trying, the phone got disconnected and they said all bills were paid. The next day, I got another bill. Sorry we can't talk to you 'cause you have the account number but not the invoice number. I tried telling them the bill had no invoice number on it. The company is all about great service to customers and that's supposed to be their main concern. What happened to helping customers? The experience was super frustrating and no local office to discuss the problem and the office people didn't seem to care at all.
If I could give zero stars, I would
If I could give zero stars, I would. Ever since Ellerbe Telephone switched to RiverStreet, we've had nothing but problems. The communication on the phone is horrible. I had an issue with the internet not working (which happens every month), and I was on the phone for three hours just to explain my problem. I was put on hold and transferred over ten times because no one knew where to transfer my call to. Also, I asked to upgrade our internet to faster speeds, and the lady on the phone said we could upgrade from $45 a month to $70 (mind you, I've been with this same internet for 7 years). I agreed, but she also said she wasn't sure if it would actually make the internet faster or not. And if it didn't, I could always downgrade back to what I originally had. Okay, that doesn't make any sense. You're going to charge me almost double what I've been paying and can't even guarantee better service. But as a student, I needed faster internet... well, what a surprise, the internet is just as slow, if not slower. So I call to downgrade back to the original, and the lady on the phone says, "Oh, I can't do that. That package doesn't exist anymore." And I said, "That's not what the woman on the phone told me, so go ahead and let me speak to someone above you." And of course, ironically, the lady in charge isn't in the office, so she left my name and number to call back. And surprise, surprise, it's been a month and NO CALL back. And now I'm billed for $108.90! They added a fee for adjustment for $31.90 on top of the already $70.00 monthly charge for lousy service. Not only did the original woman lie to me, but now you refuse to make it right. And this company would have never charged me $45 to $70 unless I made that call. That was your way of scamming me out of my original payment I've had for the past 7 years. If you want to charge loyal customers more, just say that. Don't lie to me and tell me you're upgrading my internet, and then when it's not better, you refuse the original price! Terrible service. You should be ashamed of yourselves for stealing money from people in a time of need.

I had internet service with SCS, but now RiverStreet Networks took over
I had internet service with SCS, but now RiverStreet Networks took over. I don't have internet anymore, and they won't come out or fix it. They still charge me though. I live on a mountain and really need my internet.
I got an account with RiverStreet Networks for the internet
I got an account with RiverStreet Networks for the internet. Right now, my service ain't been workin' for 3 days. It's been goin' on and off a bunch of times for a whole month. I pay for 10M download and 2M upload speed, but I ain't gettin' none of that.
We been with river street internet since they bought out Ellerbe telephone company
We been with river street internet since they bought out Ellerbe telephone company. Before they bought it things were much, much better. Since they took over they have increased our bill and all aspects of the company have gotten worse. They charge more, the internet is much slower even though we are paying for high speed internet, there response to problems with our service is awful and their customer service is even worse. They got rid by firing or laying off all the workers they had when they bought the company and now they just take our money and could care less about what we are dealing with. I wouldn’t be with riverstreet if it wasn’t for no other providers being in our area right now. Like right now we can’t watch tv or get online due to the internet being down or so slow nothing works. Streaming is barely an option when it’s working at its best. I just wish they would not charge us for high speed internet when they know they can’t provide it. Also I don’t understand how everything was much better before they took over and now when something goes wrong we are just out of luck until they feel like addressing the problem. I also see that I’m not the only one with complaints about river street in the area that we live. I hope someone will see this and be able to help my family and every one else out that is getting ripped off by this greedy, selfish company.
