I ordered parts from rock auto and paid $ 50.00 for overnight delivery4 days later my part came, so being late I refused the part and sent it back, it took 4 weeks for the part to be shipped back and they charged me $ 38.00 for return shipping, if I went with normal shipping it would have only cost about $ 20.00 for as long as it took to get my part, I will never order anything from rock auto, nor will my family or friend, just a big disappointment every time, you can't call and talk to anyone because they don't want to hear it

Exhaust muffler
I purchased a muffler for my 2010 Lexus RX 350. The muffler which was sold by Rock Auto did not replace the original equipment. Therefore, I needed to bring it to an auto shop where a 2 1/2 hours of labor was needed to retrofit the muffler to fit the rest of the exhaust system. The expense outweighs any minor savings by purchasing online from rock auto and waiting several days for the product to arrive.
Desired outcome: Reimbursement of $175.00 labor cost
Parts wrong everytime
I have placed a few orders with rockauto this last year of 2021 and every time i receive the product its the wrong item and the right box. they make it next to impossible to talk to anyone and wont help you do anything when it comes to customer service. Both parts have been ordered at different times and both times they where the wrong part forcing me to go and buy from the autoparts store at a higher cost. the parts that have been ordered are parts that you have to compare in order to make sure they are right making you have to take your car apart and find out now its the wrong part.

I ordered a denso air/fuel sensor, it came to my house and immediately tripped my trucks check engine light. Knowing it was defective I ordered another one. The second one came in, and did the same thing. I took my truck to Toyota and they confirmed it was also defective (less than 30miles on this part). Now rock auto has no contact methods. All I want is my part, that I ordered and received as defective, to be replaced. I do not believe I am responsible for paying for a part that is defective.

Rear brake rotors
I thought you sent me the correct rotors. I had to wait until Paypal had cleared my funds, to purchase new pads since you sent wrong ones. I finally got my pads locally, and started to change my brakes. I opened the first Rotor box, and discovered that you had sent me 8 lug rotors instead of the 6 lug ones that my track called for, according to your chart.

I sent a photograph and correct part number back to Rock Auto and detailed instructions of how obvious it was these two parts were much different. They continued to penalize me for the return, lesson learned. They could not me mor incompetent if they chose that for there major. Do yourself a favor, if you have a late model car, take your vin number to the dealer and get the correct part the first time. I would love to through in numerous expletives but I can't. Just guess for yourselves.
Filters
I ordered a filter for my vehicle. I used their catalog to select the part. The part is completely wrong. Their catalog is wrong! i now need to pay for returning the part even though it was their error. They have no customer service available. Buyer beware. DO NOT BUY FROM ROCKAUTO. They will rip you off. It is in no way my error! It is Rockauto's responsibility to be sure their catalog is correct.

Wrong part included in a package deal.
I ordered a power stop kit for my 03 mustang. The kit includes calipers, rotors and pads. In the kit there were 2 calipers for the front left and none for the front right. Everything else in the kit was correct. I went to their website to rectify the issue but their system only allows for the entire kit to be returned not just the incorrect part. The problem is, I already installed the left side rotor, caliper and pads, which according to their website makes them used parts. Because they are "used" I would only get a percentage of my money back. In the end I just want the correct caliper.
Desired outcome: Send me the correct caliper.
Brake pads (order #[protected]) for front were way too small.
Because the front pads were too small and could not be used and I had the wheels off I had to travel to local parts house for appropriate pads. I am now expected to pay the shipping on the return. The rear pads were the correct size and worked fine. Because of this problem I will never buy from Rock Auto again. My 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 has dual piston calipers on the front brakes and single piston calipers on the rear. All the pads were the same size. However, the data I provided as to truck information should have covered all the information for you to supply the correct pads. There was no questions about number of caliper pistons for each set of wheels in the requested vehicle information.
Desired outcome: Rock Auto pays the return shipping.
Raybestos brake kit # 785rpc4r on order #[protected]
I ordered this Rear Disc brake kit for my 2003 Silverado 1500. Parts arrived yesterday, with box beat up big time. I opened it today and discovered that the calipers are marked for FRONT brakes! I've tried to find a way to verify if they also work on my REAR brakes, or did they erroneously send the wrong caliper and brakes. I can find no way to ask this question! I can either return partial or whole order, which would be dumb if someone could just verify parts correctness.

Throttle body for 95 tahoe
I placed an order over the phone with somebody at your company for a throttle body for my 1995 Chevy tahoe. $180 was taken out of my account. I have not received the auto part. I do not have an email to confirm my order number. I can't get in touch with anyone over the phone now and I don't have an order number to reference. I was told that there were six available at the company and that I would receive my item within 3 to 5 days..

No customer service
Ordered parts for my car. Put info. they asked for. Showed my options. Chose one. Received it. Started to install it. Found out one side of the vehicle had a difference. Tried to contact them to get it straightened out. No way of contacting them other then canned messages they put up, confusing to say the least, that did not address my issue. Asked if I could return the kit. There generic answer was "no", because I had installed one piece. So I ordered another kit, thought about it, and then went to cancel it, I couldn't. But I could purchase a return label, for around $16.00. I did and then I thought, I need these parts, my car is in pieces now, been a few so I canceled the label waited to the parts to arrive. They arrived in a timely manner. Great!, I thought. Now I can repair my car and move on. But when I opened the shipping box, there inside were all the pieces I needed except I noticed one box had been recouped. It had grease marks on it. When I opened it, it turned out to be a used part. Now Rock Auto will not take back a part that has been installed. Although I only installed one piece out of the kit. That's there policy. But they sent me a used part. So I was trying to get this rectified, but they have nobody to talk to. And in the end. Had they been able to talk to me, they could have told me the original one I had ordered would have worked, just needed a small kit to make it work. Now we have a big problem, in my opinion, they shipped me a used part and won't communicate with me on what they will do. I claim fraud. Not do to a mistake, but do to the fact they contradict themselves. No company should allow to operate if they have no customer service department.
