Oct 2021 - Dec 2021, my husband and I hired Rona to renovate our home, they hired a sub contactor to do the work. Our renovation was not done properly from the beginning, floors were lifting, tub surround falling off, crack in counter top, we tried to connect with the contactor but he would not return our calls nor would Rona. A few months later my husband passed away. I was not mentally able to handle the stress of dealing with Rona and these flaws, so I let it be for the time being. Jan 15/23. I noticed a window was falling out of its frame and there was water damage both in the window frame and roof. I contacted Rona and they finally sent another contactor to look at the damages. They came to realized the previous contractor did not put in a support beam and deemed the home unsafe and unlivable, as well a pipe on the roof was not capped after he removed the old hood range vent, this caused the water damage. I had to moved out for 9 days while they put in an emergency beam and posts and accessed the damages. Rona was trying to get me to claim the damages through my insurance company, which I quickly discovered was not right and then they proceeded to tell me that they were going to sue the original contractor first before I could get the damages fixed, which again was not right. As of today I have been fighting with the insurance company, they will not cover the full cost of the damages, remove the emergency beam and put up a proper structural beam.
Desired outcome: I would like Rona to come fix the renovation flaws and damages cause by their sub contactor. I would like the emergency beam replaced with the structural beam that was originally suppose to be installed.
